  I bought three of these bags. They are perfect for my weekly food shopping. Usually, all my groceries fit in those three bags (they are quite roomy). I always feel that I am doing something good walking out of the supermarket with my three cloth bags, thankful that I do not have a rediculous amount of those thin, stupid plastic bags. Buy them once and use them for life. No more piles of plastic bags laying around. Also, take out the trash less because there are no plastic bags to throw away. Do something good for yourself and the environment.

  I bought five of these bags, and I absolutely LOVE them!! I thought I was doing my part by reusing the plastic bags I got from the grocery, but they only lasted two or three uses before they had holes in them. More fit into these canvas bags than you think. I shop for my husband and I, and usually have a full cart (the bottom is covered, but there's no stacking) and spend about $100-$125 each trip and EVERYTHING fit into three of these bags!! I did tell the bagger to leave the milk and apple juice out since I wasn't sure if my five bags would be enough. Once I got out in the parking lot, I put my four half gallons of milk and two half gallons of apple juice in a fourth bag. Normally, I would have 15-20 plastic bags.
  
  These bags are heavy duty, and will be around awhile. I feel so much better walking out of the store with these beautiful bags instead of those pesky plastic bags. Also, I easily had all my groceries inside with two trips instead of trying to hang plastic bags off my arms and cutting of the circulation to prevent multiple trips. The handles are a great length for carrying over your shoulder. Be a part of the solution and begin using canvas bags!!!

  These bags are well made, sturdy, and void of silly designs/messages. I love that they are roomy, yet great proportions, so stuff doesn't get lost in the botttom. Plus the canvas is stiff enough that they stand up on their own a bit - much easier for the sackers to use. Plus Ecobags employs fair work & fair trade policies - GOOD FOR THEM! (and humanity, too!) I bet these would be easy to dye, if you are a color thriving person - or even embroidered or oterwise customized for fun.
  
  It takes a little time to get in the habit of using them - - I often leave my cart at the market unattended at the check out stand, so I can run out to my car, but I'm getting better! Markets & stores are much more pleasant about customers using them, too (years ago, I used to get dirty looks from the baggers who didn't like to use them).

  it accomodates what would normally fit in about 2+ paper bags. I bought 4 of these and even when I've had a cartful of stuff I've had more than enough space for everything. I did have to train myself to remember to bring these with me but my son is always on top of it. I love that I'm doing my part in conservation, that I'm teaching my 5 year old to do the same and to top it off these are fair trade. What else can you ask for?

  This bag is great for shopping trips to the grocery. It just took me a while to remember to bring it into the stores w/ me, but I just always leave it in my car now. It is roomy and can fit a little more than a regular paper bag, but I wish it was a little wider. The bag itself feels sturdy and stronger than a paper bag- it's similar material to tote bags you may find at stores, but no silly designs or decorations; the handles are longer than a paper bag's too so you can carry it on your shoulder if you don't fill it too far past the top of the bag. I have four of these bags and it is more than enough for a grocery store trip. Would recommend this reusable bag especially since I feel like I'm helping the environment too!

  These are great, I've had 2 for some weeks now. They're great, holds more than plastic or paper. Was asked by cashier if eggs should be placed in a seperate bag, but they made it home just fine w/ all my other purchases in this bag. Easier to carry, w/ the handles than plastic or paper, & no worries about ripping bags. I also get a 3-5 cent per bag discount for using them. Buy 2 or more you'll find uses for them.

  I've been using these for a month now...they are sturdy and hold about 3 normal plastic grocery bags full of stuff. Not fancy, but very functional. Great for shopping!

  I bought three of these totes, not sure if that would be enough. They are wonderful and so roomy that I've been able to pack a week's worth of groceries in the three totes whereas previously it might have taken a dozen or more plastic bags.
  
  The bags are sturdy, roomy, and washable. The handles are comfortable and don't cut through your hands even when the bags are fully packed. All in all an excellent product.

  Awesome bag that is very heavy duty. Not cheap canvas. I bought the black ones on ebay for only $3.99 each. So excited to find them. I love the black ones because they always look fresh and have a more distinctive look than the natural ones. ECObags products are always a good deal.

• No more plastic bags!

  I got fed up with the mountain of plastic bags we had at home. I bought these mainly because they were plain, i.e. they are free of logos, sayings, etc. and my spouse refused to use our Trader Joes bags in other stores. (Ok, I admit it, that is kind of tacky.)
  
  These reusable shopping bags have proven to be very practical and durable. I do like my Trader Joes logo bags a bit more because they have a navy blue panel on the bottom and lower sides, which hides the dirt better than this solid, light colored, bag.
  
  Over all, I highly recommend them.
  
  
  
• Great Canvas Tote Bags

  I absolutely recommend this canvas tote bag for shoppers. It's made well,and it's large enough to carry your goods and because of the lighter canvas fabric it makes carrying your shopping goods alot easier. Many canvas totes is made with a heavier fabric and that just adds a little more weight when carrying your shopping goods.
  
  The canvas tote is easy to fold up and carry around in your purse or backpack. I live in San Francisco and this city has decided to become enviormentally friendly and encourages consumers to start bringing their own grocery bags or tote bags to carry our shopping goods. Purchasing the reusable tote bags is a good start to help stop using plastic grocery bags and help out the enviorment.
  
  Thumbs up for this company for making these canvas tote bags with fair wages and fair labor laws in India.
  
  
• Versitility

  I love these bags. They're great for everything! Though I still get funny looks at the grocery store check out (I now gravitate towards self check out when I can), we recently went to the beach for a week and they were great for packing and carrying out dry goods to the beach house. I started with three, which works for now, but I can see getting more as our family gets bigger!

  Good quality item. While I keep forgetting to take them into the grocery store on most of my trips, when I do, I love them. They hold a lot more than you expect. Only gave 4 stars because the straps are not big enough to sling comfortably over the shoulder as a bulky man.

  These eco-shopping bags are fantastic. I cannot believe how much they hold. I use them to food shop, and all other shopping. I have been able to fit all my groceries into 2 of these bags comfortably. The long handles are great, so I can carry them over my shoulder. I am so very happy that I can do my share for the environment by not using the plastic shopping bags that are so prevalant in most stores today.

  I use them for grocery shopping and am amazed by how much you can fit inside these bags. Also, they are much easier to carry inside than the usual paper or plastic bags. I am purchasing a bunch of these bags to give as Christmas/Hannukah gifts. I highly recommend these, not just for grocery shopping but for just an everyday tote as well.

  Stores in the Boston area get about twenty dollars plus tax for equivalent quality bags. Bags arrived in less than a week. This is a good product.

  Not much to say really. These bags are very sturdy and have a great feel. The stitching and construction is heavy and seems like it will last forever.
  
  I've seen other cheaper bags, but they didn't really compare to the Eco Bags.
  
  If you need some canvas bags, these are the ones to get.
  
  
• Not a bargain

  This bag isn't a bargain compared with others out there and it isn't as strong as the $1 bags I've picked up at Meijer. However, the Meijer bags are made in China of synthetic materials. These are made in India with the fair trade label--one hopes that this doesn't simply mean they make $1.50/day rather than $1/day. And they're 100% cotton. I bought these for co-workers for Christmas. They're nice, but I think that one can do better without buying environmentally offensive or Chinese goods. However, I'm not displeased.

  I read the reviews for this product and decided to purchase five bags. I am pleased with the quality and size of the bags. As other reviewers have mentioned, the wide bottoms allow for easy packing of cereal, eggs, etc. The black color masks dust/dirt marks. We're a family of two and found that five bags weren't enough for our weekly purchases. (We buy primarily fresh or frozen products that require more space.) Seven bags would be perfect. Overall, I highly recommend these bags.
  
  
• Good All Around Grocery Bag Plus

  This is a good sized, heavy duty, but not too heavy all around cloth bag. The straps are well attached and ample in length. The company that makes them advertises 'fair trade practices' and that is important to me. They are simple, and plain, with no logo etc. I plan on using my own artwork on them down the road, so this is a good thing. (Plus I don't need to advertise for a particular store, which is what my local grocery stores are selling.)

  the bags are great! i easily used 3 of them for an order that would easily have me using 9 plastic bags, if not more. I haven't washed them yet though so I'm not sure of any reports of shrinkage. Also, unrelated to the product itself, I need to figure out how to remind myself to bring these with me any time I'm going shopping. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase so far!

• Excellent for Toting A Lot of Stuff

  This bag is great for fitting a ton of groceries. I bought 3 originally and could fit almost a whole shopping cart into those bags. They have held up nicely, are capable of carrying a large amount of items, and are easy on my shoulders and back. I liked them so much I bought three more and now I use them for dry cleaning and just carting stuff around.
