Stimulating Interactive Play
Everything your baby needs at play-time can be found in this Rainforest Jumperoo. Its newly designed frame both allows you to open it up from the top, and lets the seat rotate 360 degrees so baby can play and interact from any side. A fun seat and toys at five locations on the platform engage baby all the way around, and an electronic toy at the front has motion, music and lights that can be activated by baby spinning a drum. (Mom or Dad can also activate an option for four minutes of continuous play.)

Little explorers will also enjoy playing with the Juperoo's many animals and toys, including a bobbling elephant, a monkey swinging from a vine, a parrot hanging from a bead bar, a clear spinning bead ball, a tiger that plays hide and seek, a spinning lizard that makes rattling sounds, a tethered chew toy, and a stack of chips with eye-catching graphics for baby to explore.

Encourages Healthy Development
The Rainforest Jumperoo is designed to help encourage healthy development. Moving, spinning, and jumping in a baby jumper enhances large motor skills. Secondly, the variety of textures integrated into the rainforest toys provide tactile stimulation, while the bright colors and fun music engage your child's visual and auditory senses. This educational system also enhances learning through discovery; baby's actions make things happen, helping him to understand cause and effect. Finally, reaching and grasping onto the baby jumper's toys fosters eye-hand coordination.

Parents will appreciate the quick take-down and portability of the Rainforest Jumperoo--the frame pivots to a nested position so it can be tucked away when not in use, and it simply folds so you can carry it from room to room. • Our baby asked us why we waited so long!!

    By A2BMZRO0H7TFCS on 2007-03-31
We were originally going to get our 8 month old a jumper that you hang from the door. After reading some reviews about injuries and mishaps from jumping into the door frames, we firmly decided against that and researched floor models.

We were between this Jumperoo and another one that has 4 support poles as the base. The square Jumperoo didn't have nearly as many toys for her to discover and it seemed to take up much more space. We decided on this Jumperoo because it took up less room and had more toys for only slightly more money. The investment was worth it for just the first 10 minutes of fun!

When we first put her in, she wasn't quite sure what to make of it and just looked around at the toys grabbing for them. After she realized (in the first 2 minutes) that she could jump, she did with great joy. Her face was all smiles and watching her kick her feet out while jumping had us all rolling on the floor hysterically.

The toys she likes best are the ones that spin and she reaches for the parrot and frog that hang. The tiger that comes up when you push on the button seems pretty useless, as does the color wheel.

The whole thing took us about 10 minutes to put together and another few minutes to wash the toys. Remember not the submerge the electronic one and to put 3 AA batteries in it. The box does not include the batteries and you'll need a screwdriver to remove the battery cover. Also, the large spinning ball has a rainbow sticker along the sides that if you don't dry right away, well, they'll start to wrinkle. The Jumperoo does fold up for easier carrying/stowing but it's not a smooth transition. I don't see us doing it that often however.

As I mentioned, the entertainment that the adults got was well worth the cost initially. And now, our baby girl has a great time bouncing on it while strengthening her legs. She doesn't seem to like jumping without an audience but maybe she will when she gets a little older. Don't wait to get this, you won't regret it!!

Don't settle for being a boring old parent! Any mom or dad or granny can get their little one a bland, run-of-the-mill jumparoo. Why not go the extra mile and step up to the Rainforest Jumparoo by the good folks at Fischer Price?

This Jumparoo comes with all the standard jumping ability that you would expect from such a product, but on top of that is has TOYS. Awesome toys. Toys that remind me of the time I spent in the South American rain forests. There's a swinging monkey and a spinning lizard! And there's also an elephant, because apparently Fischer Price didn't want to confine themselves to just rain forest creatures--they wanted a little bit of Asia, too. (Note: there may or may not be rain forests in Africa or Asia and they may or may not contain elephants. I don't know. I just know that I never saw an elephant in the real Rain Forest when I was hiking across Peru.)

If wild animals and jumping fun aren't enough for your baby, they also tossed in spinning drums and flashing lights, so your child is instantly transported from the Rain Forest to the Disco Floor. Who can ask for more? This is an A+++ product! Give your baby the best!

  • Better & more attractive than the Deluxe Jumperoo...

    By A3QIRDI3KK1XAB on 2007-01-27
We have an active baby that really likes to stand, tries to walk when held, and always wants to be on the move -- it can be exhausting. From reviews I read, the Jumperoo seemed like a great toy to provide excercise and fun for the baby (and a short break for Mom & Dad).

The long awaited Rainforest Jumperoo finally came about a week ago! Since we had pre-ordered from Amazon in November anticipating a Christmas gift, we were disappointed that there were delays and it was not expected 'til well after the holidays.

In the meantime, my 3 month old son was anxious to move and had lots of energy, so I bought the Deluxe Jumperoo at a local retailer about 4 weeks ago. He liked it, but seemed to get bored quickly with the toys and would use it just a few minutes each day.

Some of the key differences with the Rainforest Jumperoo:

    - The seat rotates 360 degrees and there are toys all around it, so there is always something new to look at -- and he can change his view of the room by himself (he's just starting to turn in it on his own).

    - There are animals hanging above his head from the "leaves" and the baby loves to look at them and sometimes jumps to try and reach them.

    - The music & sounds are pretty cool...like they would play at a carribean restaurant. The Deluxe music was okay, but the "boinging" noises (although fun at first) got annoying pretty quickly.

    - The format is round versus the old A-frame style -- although I feared it would take up even more space, it actually looks less obtrusive and fits in the room better. It's easier to get by and doesn't trip you!

    - There are three hanging springs (versus four) which seems to offer more mobility and freedom of movement. Sometimes he just sways around.

    - Now nearly 4 months old, our son will spend happy stretches of 20-30+ minutes multiple times a day in the Rainforest version. Less than a week ago, he would spend about 15 minutes a day in the Deluxe version.

    - The Rainforest version is attractive and seems well made in comparison to the "Deluxe". It has thoughtful design details -- like the tree frog seat and the silky green tie-dyed fabric under the hanging leaves.

    - It appears that when folded it will take less space than the Deluxe -- which is pretty awkward when folded.

    - If your decor is more subtle, the Rainforest Jumperoo will probably fit in better than the vibrant blue painted frame of the Deluxe version.

    Suggested changes:

    - More opions for the height of the seat -- this seems like an easy change the manufacturer could make that would be helpful. My son is pretty tall for his age, but between a "1" and a "2". So his feet are flat on the ground at level 1, and don't quite reach at level 2. This means he stands and sort of walks to get slight bouncing -- versus actually jumping (the toes are supposed to touch but not have feet flat on floor for optimal jumping).

    - I would like some sort of storage option (like a vinyl bag it would fit into) to take to another room, store it for company, etc.

Overall, the Rainforest version was a little more expensive than the Deluxe, but in my view, well worth it. The differences are more than cosmetic, and our son really does seem to enjoy it more than than the Deluxe (which is on it's way to Grandma's today).

  • We love the Jumparoo

    By A39JKJ5YRR582T on 2007-02-14
We have all the other jumpers - this one is just another version of the jumparoo with more sounds and a few toys with a tray

I prefer this brand over teh baby einstein since it has lots of "Spring" my daughter will be TRAUMATIZED when she outgrows this

  • EXCELLENT BOUNCER/EXERSAUCER

    By A2JNYJR9AOLKOM on 2007-01-29
Our then 3 month old son was very active and would stand in our arms and JUMP for as long as we'd let him. I started researching the bouncers ~ we needed something to help us out with this active child. I saw the Rainforest Jumperoo online, but I didn't see any reviews and was hesitant to buy it. It's a little more expensive than the other options. I went to BabiesRUS and looked at all the options including the exersaucers and this seemed like the best option - it's a perfect combination of both. It has fun and colorful toys that he loves plus a small space that's designated as a snack tray. Now that we have it home - I can honestly tell you that this is the BEST toy that we have found for him. He will sit in his jumper for quite a while. I often ask him if he wants out, but he just laughs and keeps jumping. I love that he can turn his seat 360 degrees - he can turn towards me wherever in the room that I am. Also, he's a little short for this - his feet just reach the floor, but we put a short stool under him and he now has enough room to push up and bounce. He should be able to use this for several months to come. This was a GREAT investment - the best baby gadget yet and we have them ALL!!

  • Awesome!

  • Great for older babies.
    By A2NBIKDCKLRFGN on 2007-06-10
I bought this product for my son when he was 4 months old, just like the minimum age on the package says. I was SO excited to see him jump in it!He is now almost 7 months old and only now can he fit comfortably in the seat and jump. My son is not small by any means, but he simply could not sit in the seat comfortably before now. His legs would not reach the floor even on the lowest setting, and the seat came all the way up to his armpits. Even now it is hard to get him out of it when he is done playing. Don't get me wrong, he LOVES it now when he is in it. His little feet can now touch the ground and he bounces up and down and laughs. Before now, however, he would just get frustrated that I would put down a pillow for him to jump on. I like this product, but I wish I would have waited until my son was older to invest the money in it.

  • good for someone else
    By ALG9YZD807HWF on 2007-08-01
The reason this gets three stars in lieu of five is two fold: 1) we find that the bottom of the jumperoo disassembles on its own and is difficult to resecure and 2) our 7 month old daughter doesn't enjoy this as much as her playpen and her exersaucer. That being said, I think that for other babies this could be a GREAT toy. The colors are good, the quality seems good, and if you think you have a little jumper at home I would give it a try anyway. Big plus: the interactive music making box has a decent sound control as well as the ability to turn it off (always a good thing) As for us, at this age, it is important to have a place to put the baby for periods of time. This keeps her happy for 15-20 minutes while I'm catching up on my work on my desk at home. The exersaucer and our playpen are better places that keep her busier for longer BUT that is the nature of my kid. For your kid this could be a five star product.

  • Excellent purchase!!
    By A10YMM8M2RV7N6 on 2007-08-05
We bought this for our son when he was 3 months old. He is now 5 months old and still loves it just as much as the first day he was in it. I have it in the kitchen and he happily plays in it in the morning while I make breakfast and then again at night while I make dinner. He absolutely loves it. He probably would stay in it all day if I let him. We also have the triple fun exersaucer and he only plays in that for 5 minutes before he wants out of it. Wish I would have purchased the jumperoo first and never even bought the exersaucer.
    * A little update (January 2, 2008): My son is now 10 months old and still loves the Jumperoo (Although we are nearing the end of the Jumperoo days, since he would much rather be on the move than restrained in anything now), but he did grow to love the exersaucer as well. Both were excellent purchases and I would recommend both. The Jumperoo does not have a lot of activities on it, but it provides a lot of fun in that it allows the baby to bounce and that's what babies love to do as infants. There are two settings for the music--one that plays continuously and one mode that only plays when the baby bounces. The exersaucer has many more activities on it, but doesn't provide the same bouncing motion as the jumperoo. As I said both were excellent purchases and I have recommended both to friends and family. Hope this helps.

  • a little expensive, but worth it
    By A1J1PSQUUL5I92 on 2007-02-11
i bought this because my six month old needed something knew...(we also have an exersaucer) she seems to really enjoy this product...lots of toys on the trays...shes very entertained in this...we still use the exersaucer to so now she has a variety...but seems to really like this...One thing though, she is six months old and around 28inches tall and her tippy toes barely touch on the first setting....other than that, no complaints..love it!!

  • Fisher-Price and Baby Einstein comparison
    By A2M49Q5L74A6R3 on 2007-06-26
I bought a Fisher Price jumperoo based on the wonderful reviews and was not disappointed. Because my 4-month old baby loved it so much, I decided to purchase another jumperoo for the g-parents' house. My husband convinced me to buy the Baby Einstein jumper so that our baby would have something different to play with. So far, our baby seems to enjoy jumping in the F-P jumperoo much more than in the B-E jumper.

Below is a list of differences I noticed between the two:

    1. The B-E seat is wider than the F-P seat. My baby's body wobbles around a lot in the B-E seat. The F-P seat provides more support and has a extra cushioning behind the head so her head does not wobble when she moves back and forth in the seat.

    2. The B-E seat's fabric is cut so that my baby sits on her rear more than in the F-P seat. Because of this, my baby jumps around a lot more in the F-P seat than in the B-E seat.

    3. The B-E jumper has more height settings. My baby is able to touch the floor without a cushion or phone book underneath her. She still needs a firm pillow under the F-P jumperoo.

    4. The B-E jumper toys seem to be for older babies, who have developed stronger fingers. Some of the toys require quite a bit of coordination to use. The B-E toys that hang above the jumper are actually just plastic rings, which are not very interesting. The F-P toys that hang above the jumper are more colorful and much better quality. My baby studies the F-P toys for long periods of time, but is not interested in the B-E plastic rings.

    5. The B-E jumper music toy plays 5 classical music songs, but they are short. The F-P jumperoo's music lasts much longer, even though there are only two different music selections.

Also, the B-E jumper music toy is activated by touching one of the piano keys. The F-P jumperoo music is activated by the baby's jumping. Again, it seems the B-E jumper is for older babies who have better eye-hand coordination. The F-P jumperoo seems to encourage babies to jump more than the B-E jumper.Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Center

  • Disappointed: I've tried others
    By A345TTC3SOLLAR on 2007-06-27
Well I had a Fisher Price Deluxe Jumperoo and my daughter loved it. I got the bright idea to sell it and buy this version which looked so much cooler! I can tell you I don't think the design is built as well, the frame jiggles in as baby jumps (the Deluxe doesn't). The toys, while it seems there are many (10 total) are not that interactive...the two that hang are out of babies reach, another toy is a bug that is supposed to stand upright on a plastic stem and from day one this is flopped over like a dead flower, the plastic isn't strong enough for it to stand upright. The fabric seat isn't as cushioned as the deluxe. My biggest complaints though are the construction, compared to the Deluxe, it was harder to assemble, the fabric seat isn't as easy to get on and off for cleaning or as strongly held on the seat as the Deluxe, this seat has holes in the fabric used to "snap" it over plastic circles whereas the Deluxe has thick nylon tabs sewn to the fabric seat that hold this in place. It is also harder to adjust the height levels. I'll keep this but I am now in the process of trying to track down a used Deluxe to replace the one I sold. Hard to believe these were made by the same company.

  • Watch out safety hazard
    By A29F97XJXWHHM0 on 2007-12-13
I am so sad to say that my five month old daughter was injured on this product. Her finger was pinched between the elephant and the support bar on the main activity area. I have contacted Fisher Price and they were absolutely wonderful. They are sending a prepaid shipping package to return it to the factory for inspection and are also sending us a credit for the full amount we paid for this item. I am also sad because this is my daughter's absolute hand's down FAVORITE ITEM. If not for this safety hazard I would give this item five stars. Fisher Price was so polite and kind I am sure they will look into this right away to try and solve this safety hazard.

  • great bouncer!
    By A3J8SX8J1CNOSZ on 2007-01-02
We went to buy the deluxe jumperoo, but babiesrus no longer carried it, so we bought this new version. My 5 month old son LOVES it~ it is very bouncy and the music goes on when he bounces. Also, the seat can move all the way around to access the toys. I was deciding between this and the baby einstein bouncer, and chose this one because it was bouncier AND quieter while bouncing! Hubby said EXTREMELY easy to put together and we packed it in the car today by disembling the base to go to the inlaws, so it can be mobile. Excellent toy for active babies.

  • Jungle Jumperoo - greatest toy ever!
    By A9BWPJ2KP8LWZ on 2007-02-04
Savannah, our 3 month old loves her jumperoo. She will sit and play with it until she gets sleepy. She loves the little jungle animals that make noises and all of the lights that light up. We do have to put a pillow under her because her little legs aren't long enough yet to reach the floor, but she pushes off of the pillow like there is no tomorrow. There are also 3 settings with it as you can raise it higher off the floor as they get taller. That is a very nice feature. The seat also spins 360 degrees so baby can see everything that is on the jumperoo. I would recommend this to everyone because of how great it is and it was pretty easy to put together also!

  • Rainforest Jumperoo vs. Baby Einstein jumper
    By AK80EVDKVJYA9 on 2007-02-23
I bought both on the same day for my twin boys. They are both fun, but the Rainforest Jumperoo is MORE fun. It jumps much higher & has music that entertains my boys for a longer period of time. It weighs less, so it is easier to move to another room. BOTH of these products are better than boring Exersaucers (I have 3 different models of those). If you want a break from your baby, the Rainforest Jumperoo is your best bet!

  • Greatest Toy Ever!
    By A1F9LNTHER0TDO on 2007-01-29
We LOVE our new rainforest jumperoo! I bought it just before my son turned 6 months. He was a little short at first, but now he bounces for long periods of time. We also have the Baby Einstein exersaucer, but this is 800 times better! If you are trying to choose between an exersuacer and a jumperoo..go with the jumperoo! It has plenty of toys to play with and it's soo fun for the parents to watch their baby jump. We're all smiles at our house because of the Rainforest Jumperoo! Oh yeah..the music is great too...I'm not sick of it yet, neither is daddy!

  • Needs to be made for shorter babies
    By A96K7F2B4X84B on 2007-02-10
I originally went searching for the original Jumperoo but this was the only one available in the stores. It has some fun toys and it does spin around. My complaint is the height levels on this thing. My son is almost 7 months old and still is not tall enough for the shortest height level. We tried to rig it by using the space below the first level, but that doesn't give much of a jump. I am going to try to put a pillow under to see if that helps. They also seemed to forget the seams to separate the second and third adjustment levels, but since we haven't even made it comfortably to the first level, we may never need to go to those levels. Right now he only lasts 5 minutes in this vs. half an hour in the exersaucer which he loves bouncing in. So far I am disappointed.

  • Great toy, but where's the third leaf?
    By A27ULR79XLS8UZ on 2007-03-05
Would have given it 5 stars if they've included a third leaf.

  • Jump and Jump and Jump
    By ANKO34BDK2Q44 on 2007-04-27
I think this is one of my daughter's favorite toys. I only let her jump in it for about 10 to 15 minutes a day because I like her to have a lot of floor time and mommy/daddy time, but I know she'd like to play in it for longer. She is all smiles and laughter when she's in it :).

I like this rainforest jumperoo much better than the Fisher-Price Deluxe Jumperoo (and it's just a little bit more $$, or it was at the time I purchased it). The toys seem more interesting and engaging, and there are more of them too. She especially loves to jump and reach for the colorful parrot and cute frog overhead (which the deluxe jumperoo doesn't have). My daugther likes to spin around in the seat to play with toys on all sides (this seat moves around 360 degrees so she's not stuck facing just one direction like with the deluxe jumperoo).

Since she's teething, she enjoys biting on the polka dotted bee. Like another reviewer mentioned, a couple of the toys aren't as interesting (the pop up tiger), but the others more than make up for it. My daughter plays with everything except for the pop up tiger.

I decided to get this rather than an exersaucer (or something in that vein) because my daughter loves to jump. When speaking to another mom at BRU, she told me that one of her twins loved to jump while the other hated to jump. So you may want to make sure your baby actually enjoys jumping before investing in a jumperoo, otherwise you're better off with an exersaucer type toy.

  • Baby Had His First Laugh in the Jumperoo!
    By A87L6YDLYL8P0 on 2007-08-02
Our son will be three months in less than a week and has good head control. We tried him in his brand jumperoo and he almost immediately discovered the animals on the branches over his head. He let out his FIRST laugh!

    Needless to say, awesome product!

  • Good and bad
    By A2L4F8NZSPE7T9 on 2008-01-10
At first this was the best thing in the world to us. She loved it. It helped us keep her busy if we needed our hands free. It's amazing in that sense. I will say that you have to really consider your babies heath and developement. My daughter now has a neck condition called Torticollis where she leans her head to one side more than the other. I have to say that this toy only made things worse. It is terrible for their little necks. Their head bobbles all over the place and the impact on their joints too. I am not an overbearing mother, just someone trying to tell you that this toy may seem like a good idea at first but may be better for babies when they are a little bigger. Closer to 20 lbs. I would recommend good old fashioned playing. You can simulate that same motion holding your baby without all that wobbling and impact.

  • It's ok.
    By AYB0NGHV44QRF on 2008-02-08
We had the other FP Jumperoo (the regular one!) and that was awesome. This one was ok. I didn't like how the levels changed on this one. Also, the hanging animals with the leaves are easily twistable and ended up breaking off after a short time.

This product is a MONSTER in size once set up. I remember the regular one being big too but this one just took up too much space for us. I gave it away.

  • Not for my baby
    By AW026DPOW7XPU on 2007-02-20
I bought this for my daughter because she loves to jump in her exersaucer and I thought she'd really like this. At first, she was really interested in the toys, but after we put her in there she hated it. We tried for a while and everytime we put her in the jumper she screamed. Like another reviewer commented I think it's meant for taller babies. My daughter was 6 months when we got it and average size. She was able to jump, but just sort of hung there at rest and looked very uncomfortable. Cute toys, but my baby just didn't like it.

  • Life Saver
    By A2I9FW8P26HO3F on 2007-03-14
I never could get anything done around the house as my five month old son hated laying down. He wanted to see what was going on around him, and he couldn't sit up long enough for me to leave him on the floor for more that a few minutes. My sisters recommended a jumperoo, so I purchased the Rainforest Jumperoo. Thank Goodness!
My five year old and I put it together in no time flat. And my son loved it immediately. It gives him room to move around, yet be fully supported. He can look in every direction, and there is plenty for him to play with. Plus it makes it easier for my other children to play with him. He easily spends an hour in it at a time; long enough for me to cook dinner, or clean things up a bit.
The only drawbacks are that it is hard to move from room to room, and there is quite a few toys. Sometimes it overwhelms him. But for a bit of peace, it is well worth the money.

  • Good for 15 minutes
    By A1OGEOMDAO46QB on 2007-10-02
Well as the title states my son likes this for about 15 minutes and then screams to get out! He'd rather be on the floor. It's great if I have to do something really quickly and don't want him getting into something. The toys are okay but he really doesn't care for them unless we play with them too. I don't know if it's his age or what but we got it for him at 4 months because he could hold his head up very well and he's now 6 months old. Maybe when he gets a little older he'll like it more we'll have to wait and see. Although I think this is the best jumper out there, it's not something that I would buy again knowing now how my son doesn't really care for it. And it's really a pain to try to get his legs in the two little holes maybe that's just a "mother malfunction" but I haven't figured out a good and easy way to get him in it. If he moves his legs while I'm putting him in they often get stuck in the middle of the seat portion then I have to try to lift him one handed while fishing out one of his legs from the bottom to get it in the right hole. It's happened more than once and I just think "You have to be kidding me!" Another little annoyance is that it seems to be statically charged because all the dog hair in our house seems to end up on it or around it.

  • Bouncing Rocks!
    By A2W26T8XAZ29UA on 2007-11-08
My daughter, who is 6 months old now, LOVES this jumper. She jumps, laughs, and shrieks with glee. I guess some kids just love to jump! She gets excited and kicks her legs whenever we're ready to put her into it (this, however, makes it much more difficult to actually get her INTO the seat). She'll spend time studying the toys, spinning the wheel, fiddling with the monkey, etc. etc. It's nice to be able to switch between the constant music, and the music that just responds briefly when she jumps. However, she often jumps so much it sounds like there is an entire jungle in our kitchen. One downside, the music that plays on this thing is permanently embedded in my psyche :-) Also, one tip, especially when they are learning how to use it, she loved (and still does) when we jump up and down while she's bouncing (nothing like parenthood to make you look like a total dork). Here's some video of her in it from when she was 5 months old (so not quite as much of a bouncing maniac as she is now):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZhIMKxZjs4

  • The best!

My little girl is only 11lbs and she can't quite sit unassisted yet but she's very active and loves to kick. I put her in this at babiesrus and she loved it. So now that I have it at home I put her in it with a cushion under her bum so her arms are over and she just laughs and kicks. The music on this is very pleasant and it also folds for storage in a corner or closet. Definetly worth the money!

  • GETTING SOON!
    By A2D3BPHE38JUHG on 2007-03-04
Hello, for those of you that say that your babies feet do not touch the ground, put a pillow or blankets underneath it to give them a boost~ I have to do that with my daughter in her baby einstein entertainer and it works great!! I also put a blanket on her back and kind of stuff it in, so she does not get wipe lash~ I am going to get this soon and will update the post on how my daughter likes it~
