  Although you will see this listed as "Gamecube Compatible" for this product. it is not. Only MS and Sony need apply for this one. look at the model number. if it is the same as this one, it won't work on your gamecube. spent $40 and three weeks before realizing this.

  I received the cable today and discovered that there's no connector for the old Xbox, in spite of the product description. It actually has connectors for the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS 2/3. I'm extremely disappointed.

  I guess they're shipping a new version of the product than what's listed. The one I just received has XBOX 360, Playstation 2/3, and Nintento Wii connections on it. There is NO connection for Gamecube and NO connection for the original XBOX. Don't waste your money.

  I wish I noticed Gamer Girl's review earlier. This cable is not compatible with the Old X-Box.

• Doesn't work with all TVs

  I picked up one of these cables from a local Gamestop hoping to cut down on clutter with my setup. Unfortunately, these cables simply didn't work with my TV. While I could get a signal if I reduced everything to 480i, I could only get garbage from setting higher than that (and yes, I did flip the switch to "HD") which really defeats the purpose of getting component cables. When I saw other people posting the same issues online with other TVs, I returned the cables for a full refund. Be cautious when buying these cables, they may not work with your setup.

  This product is not what is pictured/described. The product shipped is a multi cable for xbox 360, Wii, and ps2/3. This is a great deal if you need it for that, if you dont ignore this one

• cheap, but confusing

  I bought this for my wii. I was surprised that this was so much cheaper than the other options. When I first tried to set it up I couldn't get it to work. The manual didn't say anything. Then, as I was putting it in it's box to return it, I saw a little switch that said TV-HDTV. After I flipped the switch it worked great. Why it didn't come already set to HDTV, or explain there was a switch, I don't know.
  
  But for me it did work with my wii, and it was less then half the price of other component cables.

  Be advised: if you got this cable to give you 480P output from the Wii, it won't happen. All I got from the component putput was black-and-white. Apparently the Wii defaults to the composite (yellow) video cable and goes just on that.

  Very nice and low price but high quality composite cables. Athough I paid about thirteen dollars shipping included, these cables are very relaible and well designed for optimal picture. I have used them for both my old Ps2 and my new xbox 360, and it works great with both of them as if they were branded either Sony or Microsoft. I think you would pretty much get the same picture quality as if you had the roginals for each console. They came home in perfect conditions from amazon.

  This product is not quite what it claims to be. If, by universal, they mean universal to next-gen consoles, that's fine. However, this product does not work with the original Xbox or the Gamecube. I'm using it for my Playstation 3 and it looks great. Way better than getting the expensive Sony Brand. It works alright on the PS2 but I didn't see too much of a difference between This and the S-Video on that system.
  
  
  If you are using this on a PS3, Xbox 360 or a Wii, I definitely recommend.

  It's a great price for a Component cable, and as a bonus you can connect multiple systems at once.
  
  I have this hooked up to my PS2 and to my Wii at the same time. I appreciate that I don't need to switch between input sources when I play games--espcially since HDMI/Component inputs are limited on HDTVs and since HD switchboxes don't come cheap.
  
  I can vouche for the improvement on the PS2 (make sure that your PS2 is set to use Component output in the system settings before you plug this cable in). The colors and pixels are crisp. On my Wii, the Component cable is detected, and I can switch to 16:9 480p, but I still have to set my TV to Horizontal Stretch to fully see the Wii Menu (otherwise it's squished). I've not seen a game run, yet, so I'm not sure if the stretch behavior is always necessary.

• For a better image in your PS2

  I spent countless minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't set my PS2 to show "progressive" in my HD TV. After all, the TV certainly supported it!
  
  Internet to the rescue and I found that I needed different cables: only composite supports progressive and the default cable is component! 5 minutes after opening the package, I was finally able to see my games in all their glory (it is no PS3, but then...).
  
  A final word: if you want more than stereo for your sound either buy a separate optical cable or an adapter that has it too. (I saw one in a "brick and mortar" store for double the price, but the optical cable is expensive too...)
  
  
• Cheap component cables for the Playstation 3

  I got these for my PS3 because they were the cheapest component cables I could find. They're advertised as being for the PS2, but the PS3 uses the same connector and these cables work just fine. No complaints!

  Don't buy it if you expect it to work with a Gamecube or old-gen Xbox. No matter what the page says, what model # it says you're getting or how it's marked, they're going to send you a version that works with PS2/3, Xbox 360 and Wii instead.
  
  Pretty sad that they'd rather gamble on getting to keep our money than simply update the page to say they aren't selling this product anymore.
