  I was pleasantly surprised, too, at the quality of this throw for the price. One would swear that it's real suede. Plus, it's machine washable which makes it a perfect, casual throw for any room in the house...many similar items, even like those used for bedding, are "dry clean only," which is always a pain. I plan to get a few more as quick gifts for friends...a perfect idea for lounging around in front of the fireplace or television this winter! Wow!

  For $10.99, this throw is a good deal. There are some quality issues (poor stitching, loose threads), but since I purchased these for my dogs I'm not so concerned with the flaws. The throws are soft and seem somewhat durable. I am slightly worried they will fall apart after washing (suggested instructions say to wash in cold water). The green is a very soft light green (not quite sage but not a true green). The beige is very, very light (the reverse being almost off-white). I'd recommend this item because it is a good value (although I'd never pay the list of $40 -- that's simply ridiculous!)

  I was somewhat disappointed when I first opened the package and discovered how lightweight the throw was. I live in northern Michigan and had hoped for something nice and warm to cuddle up in at night while watching TV. I must say, though, that after trying it out, I was pleasantly suprised at how warm it was. While not as heavy as I had hoped it would be, it is the nicest throw for the price I've seen and is perfect if you don't live in the frozen north (unless you buy two and double them up!). I bought 4 more for gifts and know they will be very much appreciated.

  I bought one for myself and several for gifts when they were $10.99. The suede side is luxuriously soft. Very, very nice. The size is average or maybe even a little above average for a throw. I got three colors and I like them all. I'm very pleased, especially at this price. Let me put it this way... if you found this throw in a department store where you could examine it "hands on," you wouldn't be at all surprised if the price tag said $29.99 or so. Exceeds my expectations.

  I bought one of these in Chocolate when it first showed up in the Gold Box deals (when they were still 10.99). I was so impressed that I immediately bought a bunch more as gifts. I also picked up a Beige for myself, and recently bought a Green (at the raised 12.99 price) to round out my collection.
  
  The blanket is a bit thinner than I was initially expecting, but there is definitely down in it, and it's got stitching that keeps the filling from ending up bunched up at one end of the blanket. It folds up nicely, but fluffs up when you shake it, and is SO WARM and *incredibly* soft. It's a great size for snuggling on the couch or even for throwing over yourself at night if you get chilly in bed. Everyone who got one of these as a gift from me was just as impressed. It feels like soft suede on one side, and has a cloth-like feel on the other. The stitching is excellent, no loose threads on any of the ones I've received (two, plus three that I had shipped to me as gifts for office co-workers, and haven't heard about any problems from the others who I had them shipped directly to, though they all tell me they have to fight their kids for the blankets when they want to sit on the couch!).
  
  While it's a bummer that the price was raised before the end of the sale date, and that they are sold out of the Beige and Chocolate colors, I still highly recommend this blanket. The Green is a little lighter than I expected (a little more of a sage color) - otherwise, the other colors looked just as I thought they would.
  
  Even though the price has gone up, it's still a steal at only 12.99 - I've seen similar blankets in stores for three times this price, and they weren't as soft or nice looking. Even if Green doesn't match your decor, it's still worth it to pick one up even if you just keep it in the closet in case you get cold one night.
  
  
• Did I get the wrong throw?

  I was really looking forward to getting this after the great reviews. Did I get a defective one? This is completely flat and thin and not warm at all. One look at the label tells you that this is 80% polyester and only 20% down feathers. So it is a flat polyester-filled throw without much polyester.

  I've seen similar throws in department stores for around forty dollars. I just received mine today and am absolutely shocked at the value and the quality of this product. This is probably one of the best buys I will make this Christmas. In fact I have ordered another one for a gift in addition to the one I bought for myself. It is just the right size to snuggle up in and is very warm. Not so bulky that you feel smothered in it. It is also machine washable. This is a can't miss buy and I highly recommend it.

  Can I just say that I am so happy with the purchase of this blanket. I have the Amazon CC and had received a 25$ gift card, I also won the 25% off coupon from AMEX Wishlist. So I went on an Amazon shopping spree. I needed a few more dollars to qualify for free shipping so I decided to get this blanket featured on the GoldBox page.
  
  BOY DO I WISH I GOT MORE. The quality of the blanket is supurb. Feels like real suede (sp?) on one side and nice and soft on the other, it is about the size of a FULL bed...perfect to snuggle on the couch with. I just ordered 5 more for gifts! I wish I still had my 25% discount :( But even at 10$ this is the best deal on the net...I would easily pay 50$ if I saw it in the store.

  This comfort throw is being used in our home movie room and reading room. Perfect for the cold winter days when you want to take a power nap. The throw is only large enough to cover one person. Note: the fill contents is 80% polyester fiber and 20% down. Nice item for the price.

  This is a lovely, sinple throw. The green and the chocolate are especially beautiful. It is not a heavy throw though it does provide for good warmth considering its' weight. My only complaint is that a small of the filling was coming through the seams on two of the four throws I purchased.

  I just ordered and recieved three of these throws. I ordered only the green and it is gorgeous. I have never had a throw/blanket that is so lite-weight but yet so warm. The fabric is very soft and cuddley. I sleep on a memory foam mattress and when you are between the mattress and this throw, you feel like you are sleeping in the clouds. Just a really nice throw and a great value. I came here tonight to order the beige and chocolate for my parents and my brother, only to find they are sold out...wah!!

  I also bought three of these in chocolate when they were at the sale price of $10.99. Well, RAVE reviews this morning for the lucky family members who received them ! They are on the "thin" side, but warm warm. They are cuddly soft. The perfect softness and side for cuddling up on the couch or as an extra blanket on top of the bed if it's an extra cold night. I came back to order more for those family members who did not receive one this morning, as well as one for my self. A great blanket at an excellent price, even at the increased cost to $12.99. Two more for me in green and we are all warm and happy !

  I received my throw today and absolutely love it! It is very soft and has a luxurious feel. It is very puffy but still folds down into a small package. The stitching is great, looks sturdy, I could not find any flaws. It is cold now where I live but with this over my lap I was warm all evening. A great buy.

• Great all-season couch throw

  All of the Pike Street Wrap-Around throws are a great deal for their price - I actually picked up all three colors that Amazon had available (chocolate, beige and green).
  
  I live in the Long Island area of New York, but formerly a native of the Dallas area, and these throws are great all-around "couch cuddlers" for either location. They're filled with a down-feather combination but it's not super heavy so you can use these throws during cool or cold nights, if you live in a super cold area like the upper-midwest, you can probably stack two of these throws and still be pretty toasty (assuming you don't keep your home in sub-zero temperatures).
  
  Amazon seems to hover the price of these around ten to twelve dollars each, either way, buy a couple and a good book, and you're probably reached your free shipping threshold - if you're a Prime member, you should still get two anyway, you won't regret it!
  
  Also for your pet owners, just a little note, my dogs love these blankets, and since they are machine washable (and again, eleven bucks), I don't feel too bad about getting one for them. Definitely not recommended for chewers though!

  I just purchased a chocolate throw, last year I bought a green one. They get softer over time! (More cuddly) The color of the chocolate is very accurate in pic. The green is a more muted color which blends well with a blue couch.
  
  Don't expect much thickness, but do expect to feel very soft down in this, which stays where it belongs. It is great for summer nights on the couch, a bit lightweight for winter. It's a bit longer than most throws, which is a +. It is the only down product I own. I am allergic to feathers, but this has never bothered me. I really like it and it makes a great gift!

  I bought this after reading the reviews and am pleased although its not exactly what I expected. Its fairly soft, but not as soft as fleece or some other blankets. It is a suede-like material. But it is thicker than I expected, with some sort of fill. It has been very popular now the days are colder. It seems sturdy, which is also nice.

  This is a wonderful throw to have around the house on those chilly evenings when a blanket may be just too much. I especially recommend using/owing one of these when you don't feel like handing your money over to the utility company by turning your thermostat up. Not only is the soft brushed suede/like material simply marvy, it's also clothes washer safe. If your a pet owner like myself, and your animal sheds like there's no tommrow, be sure not to leave this lying around, or you may just find your "best friend" claiming it as their own.

  I didn't find this throw particularly warm, soft or thick. Maybe ok for an extra layer in bed, but I'd definitely reach for something else to curl up on the couch. In this case, you get what you pay for.
