A great buy! By A2F2PHBL52YDRM on 2006-05-29
Let's start with the basics:
My computer is midrange. I have a 3.0 Ghz P4, 200GB Hard drive, 1.5gig PC3200 RAM, and a GeForce 6600GT. This places me at the slightly above average range for computers, as I understand it.
The original mouse I used was the stock Gateway ballmouse. Disgusted with it very quickly, I bought a Kensington Optical Mouse. This mouse lasted a little while until one day it mysteriously started dying on me (about a year to a year and a half later).
I replaced it with a Logitech MX610..I'd always wanted a wireless mouse and did not want to spring the extra fourty dollars for an MX1000.
Bad move.
The mouse was terrible for gaming -- mainly I play WoW, Oblivion, and Dawn of War, as well as a touch of Half-Life and Halo. Disgusted with wireless mice almost immediately, I purchased the Razer Copperhead (Tempest Blue) and the Razer Exact pad after reading multiple reviews comparing it, the MX518, and the G5 gaming mouse, and going to my local Best Buy to "field test" (get a feel for) all of the mice. After extensive field testing, I decided that the Razer was the one for me.
Now onto the mouse itself:
-First Impression-
Right out of the box, this bad boy came equipped to do battle. After installing the firmware that came with the mouse, readying the Exact mousepad, and plugging this in, I found myself mousing at an incredibly improved speed. Not to mention my accuracy was almost dead on. I required a few small adjustments (toning the dpi down to 1600 instead of 2000, etc.) in order to keep myself from overshooting due to the sensitivity of the mouse.
-Appearance-
The blue LEDs that surround the mouse look excellent in lit rooms and absolutely stunning in dark rooms. The tri-snake emblem on the top of the mouse pulses slowly and rhythmically. I cannot speak for the other colors, but the blue truly made my desktop a more exciting thing to look at.
-Comfort-
The mouse took a little getting used to, I will fully admit. Its long, tapered buttons suited my large hands perfectly. However, the mouse is not overly bulky. It has a fairly low profile and has more of a delicate touch feel to it when mousing, as opposed to rough push feel of many mice. Moving your cursor is a simple task, with a gentle little flick of the wrist...it feels far more like you're guiding this mouse, instead of forcing it, if that makes sense.
-Software-
Easy to use, easy to figure out, this software has it all. From minute adjustments to how sensitive your scroll wheel is to how fast you need to double-click the mouse in order for it to be recognized as a double-click, the mouse is infinitely customizable.
-Hardware-
Solid and strong feeling, the mouse sticks to your hand nicely. Though it does feel a touch light and delicate, I'm a firm believer that it could take a hit and walk away from it (though why you would want to hit a 60-80 dollar mouse, I have no clue...) The low profile will also take many mouse users a little while to get used to, as every mouse I'd had before had a very high profile. Coupled with the gel wrist rest that can come with the Razer Exactpad though, you quickly forget how low profile it is.
The buttons on the top, as mentioned before, are incredibly convenient. The buttons on the side are not so much however. Being a right-hander, I found the mouse buttons on the lefthand side incredibly easy to reach and use. The righthand mouse buttons however, are nigh-impossible to use. My only guess is that one would use them for the stock setting (to switch dpi on the fly), and probably more likely that they are set there for symmetrical mouse usage by lefties.
The teflon feet that come stock on the bottom of this mouse make it slide over the mousepad like air. Though a bit light to me, you can customize this mouse to make it heavier by purchasing a Razer modification kit from Razer's homepage (costing between 10 and 15 dollars typically). However, using this repair kit voids your warranty.
Conclusion (Pros):
- Visually Appealing
- Incredible Accuracy
- Software makes customizing mouse a very unique experience
- Comfortable Feel
- Low Profile helps cut down on wrist strain
- Top End Construction
- Teflon Feet a huge plus
Conclusion (Cons):
- Price is a deterrent
- Mouse buttons on at least one side will feel all but useless
- Adjusting to a gaming mouse of this quality takes TIME
--- Overall ---
I could not be happier with the combination of mouse and mousepad I now have. A worthy buy? Absolutely. I rate it 5/5 stars...it's just that good.
Edit: September 3, 2007: Over a year (pushing a year and a half!) later and I am still using the same mouse. Unfortunately I have only upgraded my video card (currently a 512mb 7900GT KO), so the processor and pc3200 ram are beginning to drag on newer games. I still play Battlefield 2142, F.E.A.R., etc, on full or nearly full resolution with no problem, however.
The mouse is continuing to function, even after having been dropped several times and the abuse of a 17 year old little brother who stays at my place to dogsit while I am out of town at work.
THE ONLY COMPLAINT I now have is that the teflon feet on the bottom of the mouse are beginning to wear out...I think I need to order more and replace them, as the ice-smooth sliding movement of the mouse has been roughed up quite a bit by the loss of the relatively frictionless feet. Other than that? No problems whatsoever. The driver still work fine, and the mouse is as crisp and responsive as ever!
UPDATE: 11/19/2008 - Still using the same mouse and it is still responsive as ever. I am no longer playing any MMORPG games, but I still play Battlefield 2142, I have been playing Crysis lately, and I am anticipating Dawn of War 2.
The mouse is still working beautifully and holding up very well! This mouse has sealed my positive opinion of Razer. Notice I have had it over two years!
Best mouse I've ever owned By A2DHSM0Q9RBCPH on 2006-02-02
I really like this mouse. In addition to the great looks, it is the most responsive mouse that I've ever used. A slight flick of the wrist and you are able to get where you need to go. That means there is a bit of a learning curve to using the mouse but it's not steep.
The only slight drawback for me is the two buttons on the right side of the mouse are nearly impossible to use. They are preset to change the dpi up and down but as of yet, I haven't found a need to do that. I have the mouse set up for the fastest settings and left it that way. You can reprogram all of the mouse buttons but because of the difficulty I personally have in reaching these buttons, I figure I'm just going to use the thumb buttons on the left.
The mouse has the ability not only to use updated drivers but also updated firmware because of the onboard memory.
If the two right side buttons were easier for me to get to, I'd give this mouse 5 stars.
AWESOME!!! By A1K0MJRP2D275C on 2006-08-10
i just got my copperhead this morning (tempest blue if it matters) with the exactmat and i love it, for the most part. the drivers are a little confusing and took some time to setup properly so here are some tips and my setup if you are interested:
(i changed all the windows mouse settings to the middle so i can control it solely with the razer tool)
First of all change the DPI up and DPI down buttons to something else (mine are just off) they just mess with profiles which is what you should really be using to adjust settings. Second DO NOT adjust windows pointer speed in the advanced tab, like the dpi up and down this will just confuse you and is not helpfull...istead adjust sensitivity to your liking, but not yet.
before i get to the profiles let me explain DPI, Polling rate and sensitivity to all of you who don't know your megabytes from your megabits...
DPI & Sensitivity: AKA Dots per inch... the higher the DPI the faster the cursur/crosshair will move. How is this different from sensitivity? you may be thinking to yourself. well... a higher DPI will speed up the mouse without losing any accuracy and a higher sensitivity will accelerate the mouse while losing some accuracy so you should adjust the dpi to near the desired speed and then fine tune with the sensitivity
Polling rate: This is the rate at which the laser takes a picture of the mouspad so 125hz=125 times per second... you probably wont notice the difference unless you are an experienced first person shooter who can tell the difference between a 2ms(500hz) and a 1ms(1000hz) responce time but it is there. there is no reason to search the web on a 1000mhz polling rate so dont. personally i have played counterstrike for a couple of years and i cant tell the difference between 500 and a thousand hz but i trust its there so i use it.
Here is what i have my profiles set to right now(all are set to a sensitivity of 7):
1: 500Hz/800 DPI- browsing internet/casual use
2: 1000Hz/2000 DPI- Gaming(counter strike game sensitivity 2.8)
3: 1000Hz/400 DPI- very accurate slow cursur for photoshop freehand
4: unused will be World of Warcraft profile
5: unused
i used the thumb buttons for forward and back in Firefox
Design: i like how it feels in my had but the grip on the pinky side and also am thinking about cutting it off other than that i love it
Exactmat: i like the reversable sides but it is a little small and the the wristpad annoyys me...would have gone with mantis if i could re-buy
(L. percy is my moms name sw!tchb|ade is my counterstrike tag)
Stay away from Razer By A1PVDPU5X0PIN on 2006-06-23
Good mouse when it works. Very accurate.
However, the mouse's optical engine died on me within 2 months of use. I have contacted Razer support many times and they have failed to contact me back.
Nice Mouse but Terrible Support By AL425G9XIL52H on 2007-06-21
I was a nice looking mouse and had good reviews. I bought it in the hope that the drivers would not conflict with other programs on my computer as do some drivers and it is hyped to work plugged into any machine without installing special drivers. This is true. But it is necessary to install them to adjust the default settings on the mouse.
Neat blue racing stripes. It took a little getting used to holding it with thumb and ring figer tips instead of my palm like some other mice. Very responsive. I even bought the special Mantis matts for it. It was very satisfactory playing MMOs on my Falcon MachV. The buttons were somewhat difficult to use on the right side of the mouse and the double-click adjustment never seemed to work well (either too fast or too slow) and had to be adjusted to slow to work most of the time (at least for me). This was annoying but I was getting used to it.
The problems started when I wanted some support. The mouse worked well until I tried to update the drivers and firmware. I followed the directions but after installing the updated drivers in XP and updateing the firmware on the mouse it stopped working on my computer. The configurator program would not any longer recognize the mouse and the cursor would not move. Lights up but no cursor movement. Somehow my copy of XP was altered while updating the mouse software and this mouse will no longer work on my machine. This mouse lights up and is recognized and the cursor works on our other computers. Just not mine.
Support was first via computer generated "read our knowledge base and uninstall/reinstall" as one would expect. After a week of emails back and forth I get a number and actually talk to a person who supposidly writes everything down and passes your case to "tier 2." All of the emails up to this point obviously generated by computer in English as a second language vocabulary. This was followed by an email advising me to reinstall Windows XP. Dig this:
-----Hi,
Thank you for reverting back. You have mention to our phone support agent that the mouse works fine on another machine. You select automatic install when prompted for your Freescale driver and Windows installed a copy which is now causing your Configurator not to recognize the mouse.
All solutions which we have recommended to you do not work on your machine.
We normally would not recommend that you install a fresh copy of Windows on your machine but at this juncture, we would highly recommend that you do so and install the mouse drivers again.------
Apparently it's not their problem, notice how it's Windows that screwed up. Incidently, no solutions ever offered but "please to reinstall" or 'please to try another USB port." No joy. The lady who I actually talked to only took information but provided no tech support.
Sorry but I'm a busy practicing surgeon who uses the computer for both business and pleasure. I've no intention of reinstalling windows on this machine in order to use a $70 hunk of plastic.
Microsoft support is actually better in my experience and this doesn't say much for Razer support.
I'm going back to logitech. I don't know that their support is better but at least I haven't had any real problems with the logitech mice in the past. I ordered a G5 and the Razer went in a drawer. Good luck if you buy it. The mouse itself was just Ok. Not just nice.
Oh, and I guess I'm missing why it is the blue one costs more then the green or the red one? They all have built in memories. I thought they were the same mechanically and electronically.

- Razer is USUALLY excellent but the Copperhead BITES!
     By AM0194I1QVX3A on 2006-09-13
Folks, I've used ALL of the razer mice over the years that I have been gaming and guess what? Up 'til this piece of useless plastic I was extremely pleased with Razer's selection of mice for "lefties" and gamers with smaller hands.
The problems with this mouse runs the gamut of poor firmware, spotty problems with firmware updates, crappy drivers, and voila!-sometimes my XP Pro rig won't even recognize it and I have to reboot.
Crap-tastic performance. Inconsistent, too. Sometimes it works okay BUT now that the new Logitech Left-handed laser mouse with all the bells 'n' whistles has been released, I've solved my Copperhead problems by promptly ordering its replacement from our friend Amazon.com. In a few short days, I'll be in gaming-bliss with a dependable mouse from Logitech.
In case you might guess that I'm an idiot with regard to PCs or am simply too dense to operate the mouse correctly, I DID contact Razer support and advised them of my problem-set. They told me via e-mail to "try" the mouse on a different PC. Right. It was my PC's fault. (I STILL have their e-mail reply to my original query; otherwise I wouldn't make such a claim without proper verification.)
Save yourself the headaches and buy the new Logitech laser mouse for "lefties." It's every bit as fast as the Copperhead is supposed to be and it really works I'm told by people who know. And it's LESS COSTLY than the "snaky" Razer Copperhead.
- Coolest mouse on the planet
     By A2RUM96PTOYT8G on 2006-11-27
This mouse is the best I have ever owned. No problems, all performance. It's no nonsense style and no frills attitude give me exaclty what I want. It's streamlined like a porsche. I don't have any use for the buttons on the side. The center logo glows. It's very cool. Buy this one with the Saitek blue led keyboard to match it. Trust me, I get lots of oos and aahs from my setup.
- Copperhead Sucks!
     By A207EJEE1AUO79 on 2007-04-02
I completely agree. This mouse sucks! I got the Copperhead from my brother and was excited to try it out after hearing the reviews as a Top Gaming Mouse in comparison to the Logitech G5 - plus it's backed with the Razer reputation. I was surprised to find it flimsily constructed (the edges of the plastic isn't completely in-line at its base. I can feel the uneven edge of the plastic at the butt - think scraping) and it's super lightweight! The contour of the curve isn't comfortable and it's slim so even the smallest hands can't "rest" on it. The wheel is awkward and it doesn't glide smoothly (for smaller hands, you have to reach for the wheel). I honestly can't imagine how they could sell this as a premium product. Aside from the software, it feels more like a stock mouse you get with your computer but with lights.

- Incredible mouse!
     By on 2007-09-24
I've had this mouse for a while and it's perfect! My two favorite things about it are: 1. How sensitive it is. I move the mouse half an inch and its all the way across the screen. But it's not that it's like, super fast, and you cant control it, I can move it halfway across the screen without even thinking, and it will be right on what i was aiming for. The bad part of this is when i go on my friends computers, and i have to drag their mouse across the pad twice to move it across the screen(but thats their fault, not the copperhead's)! 2.I play World of warcraft, and you can auto run by pressing the / key next to Num Lock, that way you dont have to hold w, up arrow key, or hold both mouse buttons. However, the / isnt exactly in a convient place, so i diddnt use it very often. But, with the copperhead, i press the left side closer to me button, and i will auto run! i diddnt even program it to do that or whatever, i accidently pressed it while i was playing. oh, and more on point number 1, just so you get an idea of how sensitive it is, i just turned it upsidedown, and moved my thumb across the sensor(the width of my thumb, not the length)just once, and the mouse went across the screen. And im only 12 years old, so the with of my thumb isnt exactly that big.
- Good or Bad? Definitely Good!
     By A3CEOVS21F7PL4 on 2006-04-05
I have to say that when this mouse is working as you want it to; as I would call, properly, it's dope as hell.
I say this cuz I can actually reach the buttons during most situations including RTS games and normal windows functions like browsing. Yeah the one on your outer-side & closer to body (left or right-handed), is harder, but I can still manage. Not tried it with an FPS game and been impressed, yet. One may program as one wishes, all the buttons. Awesome feature...
But once this thing stops responding to your wishes....
For instance: LAN party, someone else's place, unplug everything and you're off to game. Get there and the mouse's semi-cool configurator doesn't see a mouse is attached to your system. I don't get how it's firmware forgets one button's programming nor how it's own configurator utility doesn't see it after a replug-in. The whole thing works except one button, and you can't change anything 'til it sees a mouse. I still wonder at how I got it to work in the first place. It's now become an 80-dollar problem. And to think I was planning to get another one for when I choose to go lefty. Maybe I'm missing a step in the firmware flashing process. (This thing can get toasted, so they say, if it's not done right.) 'Til I figure out my first copperhead, I'll wait on a second & use my logitech optical for lefty work.
(I must now add to my previous comments. This things does work right.....but only when I put it into a certain usb slot. After a replug it remembered. This mouse is dope. This whole time it was just that one detail. Hardware recognition. pff. I still wish I could use multiple mice on one system....I may try that still. I've contacted Razer about this. They claim that both mice will work on one system but there will be configuring both mice at once. Bummer.Perhaps I need one for my laptop now.) 5 STARS. not 3.
Another thing; This mouse ain't for everyone. Not a single one of my gamer friends likes it. They all claim it's uncomfortable, or the buttons are too far away... Hand-size counts. One review I read here, stated that the mouse wheel was too far out, I disagree. My middle finger rests right on it. Again, personal preferance, I use my middle finger, not the index, to use the wheel button. Unfortunately, not one store in my area even sells them anymore. Even when they did, there were none on display (and they were all blue versions. gay desu!) So there is no real way to try one out...in my state anyhow. I took a chance, and Voila! Magnificence.
- Best mouse I've ever used
     By ATELK8324WPTI on 2006-04-20
Just wanted to say, I was skptical about how much better this mouse could be than my Razer Diamondback. If you are trying to decide, this is, by far, the best mouse I've used. Games are SMOOTH tracking is FAST, The color of blue is beautiful. If you're a gamer trying to take your FPS's to the next level. This mouse is for you. You'll track better, kill faster, and your games will run smoother.
- Great
     By A10X3HUC8JKTFB on 2006-08-22
Mouse speed is very fast. After getting used to this mouse any older mouse becomes frustrating as they're too slow. You barely need to move your wrist to move it. You just need to get used to the speed and your all good.
The lights are way too bright when your hand is off the mouse. It lit up the whole room at night. Had to immediately void the warranty, rip out the light cord, and unplug the blinking logo.
Very worth it.

This mouse meeted and exceeded my expectations, I'm very happy with my purchase. I will even go as far as recommending it to anyone who needs or wants a gaming mouse
- it sucks
     By AB42QC0P4IXTU on 2007-08-01
i have bought several of these mice, and to be honest every time i am in the heat of battle it fails one way or another. it always becomes unusable and your settings will change mid game. try to ask for help and they ignore your requests. i have ended up throwing this product against the wall now it will be 6 times. to be fair i like certain things about this mouse and thats why i keep trying to give it another chance. but recently i asked them to help me with it changing settings mid game, and of course no response and when i was in a very important on line match it failed and became worthless.i checked the settings i made and they were all different then when i started the game, they had resset themselves to the maximum.
- A review for the best mouse ever created!

It is very precise and the movement is smooth... Not only does it fit well with my hand... it looks cool too....especially in the dark... No problems whatsoever and I LOVE THIS MOUSE / THE BEST FEEL EVER!!
- Top Notch Mouse
     By AACCSFKAH2KQ7 on 2006-03-16
Razer is known for innovation. This mouse is extremely sensitive. Which in the gaming world is necessary. The design of the mouse, takes abit getting used to. After abit you hand feels more comfortable then with a standard mouse. Give it sometime, don't judge the mouse within the first hour. Use it for afew days, you will see a hugh improvement in all aspects of the use of a mouse.
- Takes a while but grows on you.
     By A2YZ5Q90PR92HH on 2006-03-24
I bought this mouse a couple months ago and hated the feel and design of it. The side buttons are almost imposible to reach and the way i hold a mouse made it tough to get used to. Over time I began to get the feel for it and now love how it fits in my hand. You can customize just about everything in the configuration setup. I adjusted the sensativity of the x and y axis of the mouse so that my y sensativity is toned down and it is perfect. My game has definatly improved just from this mouse. I highly recomend.
- It grows on you...
     By A235RLI5B1ATZE on 2006-08-09
At first when I bought this mouse I didn't like it. It just didn't fit my hand the way I was used to holding a mouse.... but after a week or so I really started getting used to it, and now I do find it comfortable. All I can say is give it a chance and get used to it... it grows on you!
Response is great and the on the fly synapse adjustment is nice... handy when you want to change sensativities without going into a setup mode.
Some said you can't use the side buttons... I find that only 50% true. You can use the side buttons on your side, but the far side are not really useful in my opinion.
What you do get is a quality mouse which should last some time...
I find the side rails on this mouse slightly annoying. Thinking I might cut them off with a matte knife and then apply a hot knife to the cuts to soften the edges off.... but not right now, can't justify that in case I mess it up... so sometime in future I will do it.
- nice

this is a great mice, i don't like the shape of the mice i have big hands some will say gorilla hands so the mice doesn't really accommodate to my hand, i sold this to a friend and he love it
- The Best Mouse I've Ever Used (high sensitivity gamer)
     By A1IONLFZ8ZTXZG on 2007-03-18
Hey all. This is by far the best mouse I have ever used for a first person shooter. I'm a high sensitivity user and play mainly games like battlefield and rainbow six games. This mouse and its sleek design makes it easy for me to palm and move quickly. With just a twitch of my fingure I'm turned around and firing with amazing accuracy. I love this mouse and would highly recommend it.
The 7 keys are the only selling point to low sensitivity gamers, but you can recieve this with a cheaper mouse.
- This...is such a sexy mouse...
     By A3PAP48YWH8GMP on 2007-05-22
I've fallen in love with this mouth and I thank my friend for recommending this to me. Choosing the sensitivity of your mouse with the convenient side buttons and the little button at the bottom. And it has such an amazing grip with LED lights.
The first time I jumped into Half Life 2: Death Match. I gunned down 2 people in a few minutes. It could just be a HUGE coincidence. But I actually had a pretty high kill count at the end of that round for someone just starting HL2 DeathMatch (i think it was around the 19-20's)
My only complaint was upgrading the software/firmware drivers for it. If you don't get it right the first time the Razer program doesn't recognize the mouse at all and you can't change the sensitivity settings to your liking. But overall this is a damned good mouse and i highly suggest this to any serious gamer who enjoy's their FPS!
- Flimsy? what are these people talking about!
     By A28HBJOYP6BL62 on 2007-07-12
Must be the competition worried about this mouse taking all their buisness!
Whoever said this is flimsy, must have been mistaken. This mouse is very solid, it is incredibly sensitive, and comfortable! I am upgrading this from a diamond back, which is a much smaller thinner mouse, this is much more comfortable, with an arch for my hand to rest on. I am totally in love with this mouse, it makes me sooooooo happy.
Its beautiful, very sensitive, has lots of configurable buttons, and its got the backing of Razer, which is just a fantastic company to begin with.
If you have the cash to drop on it I highly recomend it.
- Very good mouse.
     By A1ZAXB4SRLKM94 on 2007-08-10
When I first bought the Copperhead I had a lot of trouble with it not being recognized by my computer. Several Firmware revisions later and it suddenly stopped working with my Logitech G15's USB port. Through the entire fiasco Razer support was... well... not very supportive.
All that being said, there is a new Firmware in town! Firmware version 6.20 fixed all my problems with the mouse. Now the mouse is pretty much perfect. I'll give the mouse 5 stars with the new firmware.
- Nice to look at, but technical malfunctions and poor tech support mar the experience
     By A21MX9U5M43E57 on 2007-08-11
I have owned this mouse for less than a year, and I have already had occasion to contact tech support several times. The firmware update is ridiculously complicated, and if done incorrectly, may destroy the mouse. When Razer tech support gets around to responding to inquiries (days or weeks later) they recommend that you "try it on another computer." Now, I wish I had another computer lying around for use every time I have a hardware problem, but that's a bit unrealistic. Other than that, when the mouse is working, it is attractive, comfortable, and fast. I just wish it worked more often.
- $90 Wasted on both Mouse and Deluxe Mouse Pad
     By A3P64V55I3T9GM on 2007-12-12
I was so excited when the mouse arrived in the mail. The packaging looks great and it was very easy to install.
The problem is if I move the mouse at a very slow speed, the mouse doesnt move because it's too slow for the sensor to know the mouse is moving. It's very annoying when you need to move at a slow and careful speed and it's not moving. I've tried putting the mouse on different material thinking maybe the Razer Mouse pad was the problem but the same thing happens.
This mouse would be great if you're always moving the mouse fast but if need careful precision speed, it's very annoying. My plan is to ebay the mouse and try another one.
The 4 buttons to the sides are a little stiff but since i dont use them that often, it doesnt bother me. The front 2 buttons are about right in stiffness but I wish it was slightly more soft on the clicking.
- Awesome Mouse
     By A3LFY9GBJJ3H6A on 2008-01-29
This is a really great mouse. I have never bought a professional mouse, but i finally did and I am glad i got it! Not only was it a good price, but it is so pretty too:) being a female gamer well woman in general, i have smaller hands than most. At first i was like gosh its so big, but i found a comfortable position. I also love the positioning of the buttons on the side. Also if you have never had a 2000dpi mouse get ready for some fast speed, but you can tweak the speed easily, with either windows mouse or the installation Cd that comes with it.

This mouse also lights up blue and looks really cool when you turn the light off. Overall, i am very satisfied with this purchase, especially the awesome discount that i got! The only thing i've heard is use a small air can to blow the laser on the bottom out like once every week or so to ensure there is no dust up in there! Hope this was helpful :)

Also i am looking for a good wireless gaming headset, if you know of one send me an email at roachthegirlygirl@yahoo.com

- How can usay this is not an amazing mouse?

Let me start off by saying I love this mouse. This is by far the best mouse Razer has ever made. Its sturdy, well weighted, it doesn't randomly jump like some newer mice and the buttons have the sturdy feel of quality.
I'll give all you haters out there that the support does in fact suck, that's Razer for you, but why would you really even need support? The software works great for what it is, a mouse. Plus besides a few sensitivity tweaking I hardly ever find myself using the software anymore.
For almost 2 years now, I have still been using the same Copperhead. I love this mouse. And even though newer Razer mice are out such as the Deathadder and the Lachesis, I would still recommend this mouse to every gamer.

im a PG [progamer] in basically everything and this mouse is wicked. i use the sensitivity switch to basically own like all games; e.g. high sensitivity for an FPS while spraying submachines and then swtich when i bust out the sniper rifle to low sensitivity for more accuracy (to leik pwn noobs).
yeah it's a great mouse. plus it looks awesome so all the girls who c u use it are like "omg that's an awesome mouse, u must be PG." so ya i may acutally get a gf now.
one thing i'll add though is that buying this mouse doesn't make you PG. my APM [actions per minute; last estimated around 550] is actually fast enough to feel the 8ms lag on normal mice so this was critical, and im actually PG enough to use sensitivity adjustments powerfully. you guys probably aren't, but at least if you have this mouse people would think there's a nonzero probability of u being PG [becuase all PGs need PG mice like this one]. and plus the fact that the beacon flashes this awesome blue color makes like a totally pro thing to look at in the dark once you've turned off the lights and are going to sleep; i just look at it from my bed in the dark, get totally pumped up, turn the lights back on, bust out MOHAA, pwn noobs, end up going to sleep toly late, and then failing all my exams the next day. it's pretty awesome.
so gg gl hf k thx bye. let me know if u want to play some games sometime [lol jk nub].
- Just a warning for people with big hands

This isn't a bad mouse and the other reviews are accurate for sensitivty, etc
The only real drawback: this thing is tiny
If you have big man hands; you may experience hand cramps trying to hold this thing. I experience pain just trying to curl my fingers in a way that lets me even reach the buttons on the side (they are "under" the side edge and tucked inwards)
If you have little girly hands; than this is a fine gaming mouse
For me; I'm sticking with the logitech series of game mice; they are far more ergonomic for large hand sizes
If you decide you really want a razer branded mouse; try one of the other razer series, some of them are at least medium size (like the lachesis); but the copperheads are the smallest mice I've ever tried (and we have dozens of various gaming mice at my job)

Ever play First Person Shooters, or have an application that you just can't seem to manipulate quick enough or you don't have enough fine mouse control to make your editing easier?
I have had this problem for a long time and going in and adjusting all of my mouse settings depending on what application or game I was playing was a hassle and quite frankly a pain.
I absolutely love this mouse. It was very easy to adapt to this mouse and the fact that I can change the sensitivity on the fly as the setting are kept on the mouse and not on the computer make my computing life much more enjoyable. For editing I click on the DOWN DPI button and now I have fine control for pixel editing or in my First Person Shooters (FPS) I click a few times on the UP DPI and I have super fast reactionary control and can adjust hiher or lower on the fly.
I highly recommend this mouse to any gamer, music, movie, picture editors out there. If all you do is use applications such as Office software I do not recommend this mouse as you can get away with a $10 mouse.
Gamers and editors should note that the fit of the mouse is intuitive and comfortable and does not add to fatige of long gamming sessions or editing sessions.
I give this 5 stars as I have used a lot of other mice and this is by far a superior product!
