PERFECT for those who love "cool spots" on their sheets By A3ULJE7UMUGSXR on 2007-02-17
I was disappointed when I opened the package, because I'm used to flannel sheet or, when I can afford them, high thread count. Even though these are "micro"fiber, they seemed so... flimsy. I loved the color; I have a very "dated" headboard painted to look like malachite, and the sheets looked great with it.
I put these sheets on my bed on a Friday, after work, on a day that I felt like [can't use those words!] - yeah, BAD. They slipped on nicely, and fit my standard full-size bed just fine.
There's something about a shower and freshly made bed, every single time, even though I'm [well] into my 30s, that transports me back to being a little girl, getting ready for bed in preparation of seeing my grandparents the next day. It was a carefree time, when I had no worries and life was nothing but school and family and being a little girl. I try to bring it back because the memories were so sweet.
OH the joy of sleeping on these sheets, especially after a bad day of working while I was feeling so rotten! Forget my fears of the super-fine microfiber. They felt like satin-weave. I have a friend who can't sleep on flannel or t-shirt sheets because she always has to have a "cool spot." You know what I mean; you move in your sleep, and the cool [temperature] sheet falls against you. I'm getting these sheets for her as soon as I find out what size bed she has. They were heavenly. I hated to change the bed.
Because of other Amazon reviews, I examined the sheets closely upon removing them from the washer (regular cycle, biodegradeable detergent) and the dryer. No pilling, no tearing. They felt as nice coming from the dryer as they did from the packaging.
I'd gotten three sets of sheets during Amazon's January sale. I'm rotating them to review - but I cannot wait to put the Pike Street Microfiber sheets back where they belong.
sheets By AU2DO7OAQXNVK on 2007-01-15
When I received these, I thought they were much too thin. But being microfiber it was just something I wasn't used to. They feel wonderful on the skin, laundered wonderfully, and seem very durable. I would recommend them to anyone. The hunter green color is also beautiful.
the color is possibly the only good thing about these sheets. By A3JHC8O59WDHFZ on 2007-08-27
As many other reviewers noted, these sheets are very, very thin. You can see your mattress or mattress pad through the fitted sheet. And speaking of the fitted sheet, it's not very fitted. On my queen size mattress at least, it's several inches too wide, and ever so slightly too short. The extra width mitigates the lack of length, but i've still got extra material bunching up under me every night, and have to tug the corners down every few days to keep the sheet from popping off the head or foot of the bed.
The only reason i'm giving this product two stars instead of one is that the ridiculously thin material is actually kinda nice on really, really hot humid summer nights. As soon as the temperature is reliably below 85 at night, these sheets will either get thrown in a box until next summer, or just thrown away.
Do Not Buy This -- Unbelievably Bad By A1L6CI04FBUA3J on 2007-04-29
I bought these sheets in Hunter Green for my King-size bed. What was delivered was not Hunter Green and not a King-size sheet. It did not fit my bed -- it was not even close. There was nothing in the packaging nor on the sheets themselves to confirm that this was a King-size sheet, so I thought I would try it on another bed -- a Queen. It was too big to be a Queen sheet, but the material was decent, so I decided that my problem was just a fluke and I would give these sheets another chance.
I then ordered three other sets: Burgundy (King), Yellow (Queen) and Taupe (Full). The Burgundy is far from being burgundy and the material bears to relation to the original green sheet that I bought. It reminds me of the material used in kids' Halloween costumes. The yellow sheet was not sewn at the seam, so I put it back in the bag without trying it on the bed. The taupe fits okay, but the material used for the fitted sheet is different than the material used in the top sheet. The two pillow cases were also of different material.
I have no idea what the manufacturer was thinking. I realize that the price is actually way too low to expect a decent product, but the variations in the sizes, material, and lack of quality control make these sheets unacceptable at any price.
No thank you By A2KP45DO3RY4RG on 2007-06-19
I can't recommend them. They seemed to have a finish that clung to me when I rolled over and took the bottom sheet with me, they were so light weight they bunched up a LOT...cheap, color was gorgeous, but for me, not a pleasant sleeping experience, on their way to Goodwill.
- Soft, soft, soft....omg....so soft....
     By A2EJNDU90I7V2P on 2006-12-08
I love these sheets. This was the best $14.95 I have ever spent. I probably should have washed them first before using them. However, they were so soft I put the on the bed and that is where they have stayed. I have had them on for a little over a week and will wash them this coming weekend. I will re-review them or edit my review and let you know how they turn out. This is my only Pike Street purchase, but I will be purchasing more items from them if everything else is made this well.
- Another bad review. Taupe set.
     By A3NC7WY278E1X2 on 2007-01-20
I would agree these sheets are fairly soft, like 300 thread count sheets.
Some kind of big issues though:
1. One pillow case has a 3 inch opening where it looks like the sewing machine "missed". Should have been caught by quality control.
2. The bottom side of the flat sheet(the side that is supposed to be against your body) is very rough polyester.
3. The fitted sheet fit my 16" deep pillow top very well. But was a much lighter shade of taupe. Noticeable.
4. The pillow cases were two different shades of taupe. One was almost white! Even worse than the flat/fitted sheet difference. I can take a picture if anyone asks me to.
5. The "taupe" in the picture is more of a brown/grey. The "taupe" I got is almost purple/lavender.
Maybe my set was a reject, but I would not buy this brand again.
- Microfiber Sheets
     By A3PM84OLBPFURC on 2007-06-01
Sheets are excellent fit and quality, but if you are looking for Sateen these are not, they are soft and supple, but the feel of cotten sateen is entirely different.
If this doesn't matter to you then these are excellent sheets for the money, great price as always from Amazon!!
- Seriously disappointed.
     By A231N8BIAUUM9N on 2007-03-29
I gave these one star because I had to. These sheets are garbage. The colors will wash out after the first washing. My blue sheets now have big permanent peach marks in them. And the corners of the fitted sheet have split. I have only had them for a month. Love the way that they feel, however the quality is terrible.
- The best sheets for the greatest price!
     By A34SY7Z5WWY225 on 2007-06-11
These sheets are light as a feather, soft and silky without that slippery sateen feeling. I am placeing a second order as gifts for all my girlfriends!
- Wow these are REALLY bad, not even worth it
     By A1964GVGWN75T4 on 2007-06-15
Wow, these sheets are horrible- felt like i was sleeping on a piece of rough plastic. the material used for the sheet and the pillow cases are very different- the pillow cases I don't mind so much except for the fact that they don't match the bottom sheet because they are made of different material, but the bottom sheet not only felt like plastic BUT it didn't even fit my king size bed properly.
Bad design, bad material, bad deal. I highly NOT recommend this, unless you like the feel of plastic burlap on your skin.
- Very Disappointed
     By A2IQSNIJH8W9G7 on 2007-06-27
I was really looking forward to these sheets. I've looked every where and though I found, and have, micro-fiber pillowcases I couldn't find a sheet set. However, once these arrived I just have to say I was very disappointed. These sheets are NOTHING like any other micro-fiber item I have ever come across, which happens to be my favorite material of choice.
Thin, very thin. Holding up toward a window you can make out furniture outlines. Immediately upon feel out of the packaging they felt rough, so I threw them into the wash hoping it was packaging "blues." Had some hope when out of the dryer they felt warm and cuddly, but once on the bed and flat it is just rough all over again. I can actually feel my mattress pad through the bottom sheet.
I was looking for a quick great deal to replace sheets due to a house fire and as they say, if sounds too good to be true... If the shipping cost wasn't half of what I paid due to sale price I'd be returning these. Hoping a little fabric softener works a miracle.
- Cheap Sheets
     By A321GFVMF8K6P on 2007-07-04
The sheets are what I should have expected for $25. The sheets are becoming worn after a few (less than 5) washes. I was looking for a good colored sheet, but I really should have gone for something in the 800+ thread count. The low price lured me in, don't let it happen to you.
- Sheet review
     By A3N8XZJWYZNJP3 on 2007-01-20
I was very disappointed when these sheets arrived. The colors are pretty but I was expecting more of a fleece like material because of the description "microfiber". In addition, they pill terribly.
- Very satisfied
     By A1UFWTY0OENRP2 on 2007-01-31
I bought 2 sets of the burgundy king sized sheets for a vaction home and I have no complaints so far. The sheets felt silky, all the seams were fine, the color was still saturated after washing, and mine didn't pill after washing either. The sheets are feathery and light, which is fine with me. Others may want a heavier sheet. At the price I paid (approx. $15.00 for each king set) I feel I rec'd excellent value for occasional vacation use.
- My take on Microfiber Sheets.....
     By A2CI3NKYEPHZBC on 2007-03-23
Well these sheets came in bright colors and I love bright colors. The price is very reasonable and the feel of these sheets is wonderful. My husband says that these sheets are like being wrapped in 'angel wings'! He is a manly man and for him to take to these sheets as though he was thrust into a lover's arms says a lot.
The sheets seem to be easy to clean but I recommend cleaning it on gentle wash so they don't fuzz up. Also wash them with some type of color fast detergent. They feel so good to your body you may want to wash them using a baby detergent like Dreft or Ivory Snow. Keep oils like grease, lotions, and hair care products off these so it makes cleaning easier and cuts on down on wear and tear.
All in all, great buy.
- Awesome sheets
     By A1LLB0GFVYZBX9 on 2007-03-24
These sheets are not only soft but cool enough to sleep with in the summer I would recommend them to anyone!!!
- great deal!
     By A2BR08Q5NXYMAJ on 2007-04-17
I ordered this sheet set mainly for the price, but also because I was curious about the microfiber material. After about a month of use, I have no complaints. It's lightweight and the microfiber feels great when sleeping. I would definitely recommend this to others.
- The fabric is not what I expected.
     By A350PUUO2U96HR on 2007-04-27
These sheets were the color I expected. They were also nice and deep, and fit my exceptionally deep mattress well. This is not always the case even with sheets that claim to be extra deep. My one complaint is the fabric. I expected something extremely soft, and more like the microfiber fabric used to make bras and underwear, perhaps something stretchier like a jersey knit. The fabric is very smooth, has a bit of a sheen, and has no stretch. It reminded me a bit of fake satin sheets without the glossy finish crossed with polyester. They are extremely light weight which would be great for summer. Overall they are very nice, I simply don't enjoy the feel of the fabric, and I wonder at how easily they would rip considering how very light weight they are.
- The perfect sheets for hot Florida nights!
     By A3C28F05T35M3K on 2007-06-26
These sheets are a gorgeous shade of plum that is very rich. They are very very thin but so soft and cool. My husband and I adore them and we wish we had ordered more!
Upon first wash they were much too big for our king size plush mattress but w/the 2nd wash (this time in hot water) they fit perfectly.
If you live in a warm climate, these sheets are for you!
- A little thin, stitching won't last ...
     By A2BQUF8SJ5E1CE on 2007-01-04
While these sheets are soft against the skin and pleasant to sleep on, they are pretty thin and the stitching just doesn't look like it is going to last. They'll be ok for a short while, but don't have the quality you normally expect with the term "microfiber." Still - for the price, not bad.
- stained and mismatched
     By A3P4ST2LIR7ESG on 2007-03-10
I received my sheets and when I opened them to put on the bed, the bottom fitted sheet was an off color from the top sheet. Then when I opened up the top sheet, right on the top was two big stains. I didn't even unfold it when I found this. I don't recommend these sheets at all.
- Color All over
     By A1LZXQQRUZN7VK on 2007-03-19
The quality of the fabric is good. But there was no warning that it should be washed before use as its color was coming off. All my cloths and pajama and the mattress now have a shade of red color in them. After the first wash now it seems to be ok.
- Short Top Sheet!
     By A34E61B4Z52UER on 2007-03-27
I took the sheets out of the package when they arrived, washed them in cold water and dried them, as I normally would. The fitted sheet fit fine, but the top flat sheet was WAY TOO SHORT in length and in width. I have a 9" deep mattress that's 61" across (I just measured). When you add up both sides and the distance across it equals 79". If the sheet is really 90" there should be 5-1/2" extra on each side. The sheet doesn't even drop down far enough to tuck in. I already threw away the packaging or I would return this sheet set. Disappointing.

     By A1RQM2GS1ZD11L on 2007-03-28
Not the best sheet experience. My legs broke out in a rash. Best to wash before using, I guess. The thread count is a bit lacking, too. For microfiber sheets, I want a cloud-like surface. I will go for a higher priced item next time.
- You get what you pay for
     By A2MMIUGK36R1J1 on 2007-04-01
I knew when I purchased these sheets for only 13 dollars they weren't going to be great, but really these are ridiculous. They are incredibly thin sheets and they pill easily. They also do not stay on my mattress, I am constantly having to put them back on. I will not purchase these sheets again.
- great sheets
     By A11CD5LR4HF5SY on 2007-05-12
these sheets are the best sheets I have ever slept in, beautiful and smooth and light to sleep under. washing no problem...just hang them on the line and they are dry in no time. They dont fade and are wrinkle free.
- Sheet Set
     By A2AQO8P11TJ87N on 2007-05-16
I love these sheets! They feel like satin sheets without the slippery feeling. As light weight as they are they are still warm and cozy. I am very happy I selected these and would recommend them to anyone.
- Not bad, for the price
     By AKGQXRGDJYUUC on 2007-06-27
I purchased these sheets for a week long vacation where we needed king sized sheets for the bed. They were comfortable to sleep on, although a little on the warm side as microfober doesn't breathe like cotton. My biggest complaint was that the fitted sheet kept coming looose, but I can't say for sure if that was the bed or the sheets. Anyhow, for a week they were fine. Not for long term use, though.
- Burgundy color is not as expected
     By A1AJTIO1J9DKXB on 2007-07-08
As another reviewer wrote, the burgundy sheets are FAR from burgundy. They are more of a mauve color. I would have returned the sheets but it was more hassle than it was worth.
