  • 1GB Sandisk MicroSD TransFlash Memory Card (Bulk)

    By AT3F14PF375OR on 2007-01-09
This is a great deal! AND, it includes the card sleeve! Buying "bulk" simply means without the retail packaging. Everying else is the same, but the price is about 40% less. I will always buy "bulk" items of this type, because you are not sacrificing anything...just saving money!

  • I love how cheap memory has become

    By A34UVV757IKPVB on 2007-03-16
I remember paying $100 for 512 megs. Heck, even before that I once paid several hundred dollars for a 170meg DRIVE. I love that memory chips are now a) cheap and b) TINY. This is so cheap, it's practically free. 1 GIG for 10 bucks!? How can you lose? I bought this mini card for my Motorola KRZR phone. Worked perfectly. You plug the card into your phone (under battery) and it instantly recognizes and creates directories in it (photos, music, sounds). SO, if you want to upload your own music to your phone, take the card out, use the included adapter, and plug it into your laptop. If your laptop doesn't have a memory card slot, Sandisk also makes a (cheap!) USB adaptor that accepts both SD and MINI SD cards. Copy music onto the card in the "music" directory, plug card back into phone, and viola: no need to bother with the Verizon on-line Music garbage. Easy. Works great. In another week, you'll be able to buy 100 gigs for 10 bucks!

  • BIG RIPOFF by eek technology

    By A954QD0JVPDYF on 2008-04-05
eek technology - Watch out on this one - the shipping and handling listed is not per order, or even pro-rated based on any factor (weight, size) other than greed.

Buy one, you pay one shipping and handling
Buy ten, you pay ten shipping and handlings!!!!!!!!!

So, on a recent order from eek technology, my merchandise order of ten mini-SDs was about $20.00 but the shipping and handling was $50.00!!!

  • WORKS WITH LG CU500 -- This is the card Cingular recommends.

    By ABMVGEODBGIZY on 2007-01-19
Cingular sells this card online with its phones (like the LG CU500 I just bought) for $49.99 delivered. Digital Media Source, the Amazon Marketplace partner, sells the bulk version for $25 delivered. It comes quickly by first class mail and the delivered price is still half that of Cingular.

Cingular apparently sells and recommends the actual SanDisk card with the CU500 because of many reports that other manufacturers' cards don't work with it. Personally, I think that this is either a manufactuing quality issue or a user-installation issue (not seating the card properly), because all MicroSD cards should meet the same standard. Nevertheless, Cingular sells and recommends the SanDisk card, and the Cingular user forums seem to have basically no complaints about the SanDisk product and random complaints ("My Kingston card didn't work" "Mine did." "Well, mine didn't" etc.) about cards from other manufacturers with regard to the CU500. Sandisk invented the concept of MicroSD and is a manufacturer with a reputation for the highest quality, so the big complaint on the forums about having to use the SanDisk card is that it is expensive.

So SanDisk it is if I want a minimal hassle. But of course that $49 price from Cingular is frustrating when you can get a non-SanDisk 1GB card from a site like Newegg for $17. Enter the best of both worlds from Amazon: an actual no-kidding *official* SanDisk card for $25 delivered. Now that's worth my money. The only concern that one might have is that all you get in the little envelope from Digital Media Source is a little soft plastic container with the Sandisk card and an adapter in it. That's it. No instructions. No other information. Nada. However, given that Cingular provides detailed instructions online as to how to install the card in your particular phone (like my CU500), you don't need anything more. I am totally happy with my purchase, which arrived at my door in NYC 3 days after I ordered it (one day for the USPS to get it here, 2 days for Digital Media to send it). Highly recommended.

  • Works great with VX-8300

    By AO71I3JYUAS3P on 2007-02-07
Great price, arrived sooner than expected...but watch out for the shipping charges. Cost $11.00 to ship standard a practically weightless padded envelope containing two memory cards. Guess that's how they can offer just a good price on the cards.

  • Work in LG CU500
    By A2024AWPLBU0WP on 2007-01-10
Bought from seller Straight Trading. Put in my LG CU500 phone and showed free storage of 991472 kB. Working fine.

  • Great price, great product but...
    By AGATMVN6VDF7B on 2007-03-26
All things considered I gave the product a 5 out of 5 stars. It was as described and has been functioning as expected. Little to no problems with the install. Transfer of data was also a snap once the adapter problem was addressed. Fits my motorola KRZR like a glove.

Two points of caution and concern:

    1. The adapter that came with the micro has a port that fits so snugly that without great patience, care and jewelers tools I almost couldn't get the card back out of the read adapter without force. Fortunately I own another reader that doesn't require the adapter, so I just round filed the piece of crap adapter that came with it, once I got them apart!

    2. The corresponding shipping policy for this product is less than satisfactory and leaves me feeling like they've taken advantage of me and pocketed the balance of the exorbitant "Per item/Per lb." shipping rates.

The final analysis... Because of the impacts of both poor adapter functionality and questionable shipping policies, they get 4 out of 5 stars.

  • Glitch card
    By A2CO8KHAEHOBGZ on 2007-05-30
This chip is billed as new and NEW means "completely compatible" with the products intended for use. It functions well in my Samsung A707 when it is recognized by the phone. You see, each time you turn on your phone the chip is not recognized. You need to unseat/reseat the chip for the phone to see it each time it is turned on. This is annoying since you need a nice strong, long, fingernail to do it. A random glitch? No, the same thing occurs with at least 4 other A707's that I know of. These include different discount Sandisk chips bought from different vendors. Either the phone has the issue or the discounted chips were defective. When your phone says "memory card has unrecognized format do you want to format?" SAY "NO." Just reset the card and look for the card icon in the upper right hand display.

  • Works fine in Samsung SGH-A707 phone
    By A3LW51M5AOG163 on 2007-01-15
I bought this sandisk 1GB microSD (bulk) from Digital Media Source through amazon. The shipping is smooth and fast. The card is working well with a card reader in a PC and in the Samsung SGH-A707 phone. I can take pictures, videos, and play MP3 music on it. I have used SD for many years, but it is the first time for to use the microSD. At first try, the memory card wasn't recognized in PC and phone. I used a bathtissue to erase the contact pins, then it works fine. The bulk package is about half price of its retail package. The only difference is that it doesn't come with a plastic package cover with a warrantee paper card. But it works great. The microsSD is tiny, it is weak mechanically. Besides cleaning the pins, the alginment is as important when you plug in the socket.

  • Watch out on pricing for this one!
    By A3MIZDF0I9TR3B on 2007-02-06
Amazon currently has this listed for $29.92 and here it's $16.79. However, look at the shipping policies for this vendor. It is $5.95 for one item and then another $7 for 1-3 day 'expedited'.

If you've got Amazon Prime you'll get the full retail package for an extra 23 cents instead of what I assume is an OEM white box package (is that what "Bulk" means in the product title?).

I don't know for sure if this is going to work in my BlackBerry Pearl. All indications say it will but I'd rather take Amazon's no quibble returns than trying to figure out how to send it back to somebody I've never done business with before.

Watch out for shipping sometimes. It really bumps up the price of something that appears to be a deal.

  • im guessing a fake
    By A2BRAB1WLB98H4 on 2007-02-07
i think this thing was a fake..i bought it then it stops working after a week..what the hell!

  • my krzr loves it
    By A1PD6NNCLVBOHD on 2007-02-09
Worked out of the box for my krzr, no need to format. Not sure what the difference is between this "bulk" item and the retail version is, aside from price

  • Faulty card
    By ALH3Z7PP3GDEP on 2007-02-16
I am so glad you asked, I recieved a defective card and when I told amazon about it, nothing happened. The card almost melted my phone. I am very disappointed in Amazon, for I have purcharsed many items from them with no trouble.
The Sandisk Mirco SD transflash memory card was defective and almost destroyed my new phone. You should have had a 0 rating with the stars. My rating is a big ZERO.

  • This is So Great
    By A2RWJ3QJRXGD96 on 2007-08-20
Freakishly simple, effective and well designed. I got it for my LG AX8600 cellphone (Alltel's version of the LG VX8600), and after a bit of worry (the SanDisk MicroSD is not built like a tank) I finally took the plunge and stuck it in my phone. A neat click -- on my phone you remove it by pressing on it again so that it will eject -- plus a simple format process and the little MicroSD card was ready for photos, video or music. To load or delete files place the MicroSD into a transflash adapter, then put the transflash into a SanDisk SDDR-103 MobileMate SD+ 5-in-1 Mobile Reader (SD/ MiniSD/ MMC/ RS-MMC/ TransFlash, Retail Package), which you plug into your computer's USB slot. From there you drag and drop whichever files you choose (though my phone does not seem to see mp4s.) Overall a great package.

  • Great card, especially for the price!
    By AP7FZFTCPZ5S8 on 2007-01-26
I recently bought a new phone w/MP3 capabilities that I couldn't wait to use. But the memory of the phone itself is dinky, so I knew I needed more memory. I originally went to Target where I did find a microSD 1 GB card for 49.98, but I decided not to purchase it. Instead, I went on Amazon. I was so glad I didn't purchase the one at Target, b/c this one works perfectly for my phone and is a lot less expensive. I haven't had any issues at all w/it--I use it w/my LG VX8500 and my husband got one for his LG VX8300. I gave it a 4 of 5 b/c it doesn't come w/any info--it being bulk packaging and all.

  • Good stuff
    By A1A42DRGCQTZEB on 2007-01-27
This thing worked fine on my LGCu500 staight out of the box, at 5mb a song u can fit about 190 + songs in there, its not exactly a gig on the dot you see, u might get a bit more or less. The images dont really do justice to how small thing thing is,pretty impressive. Do yourself a favor and buy the bulk on and save rather than the retail pakage.

  • Excellent
    By A3DDIQE0OF0T2Z on 2007-02-14
Memory card works perfect with LG CU500 phone! No problems at all, just as advertised.

  • works perfectly
    By A2MJMW3SJWJPMS on 2007-02-17
No fancy package because it's a non OEM, but you just throw that out anyway, still has the protective plastic case. No need to format or anything with my LG enV. Popped it in and it worked fine.

  • It's no good
    By A3MHHNCT3N1TU0 on 2007-02-21
it messed up my phone (samsung t-809) it doesn't remember what I put on it. So I have to take the card out, put it back in and then remake my playlist every time I want to listen to music. I really don't like it.

  • Exactly what I was looking for at a great price
    By A7CRBQLU69YLZ on 2007-02-21
I received the Micro SD Card yesterday and it works flawlessly in my LG camera phone/mp3 player. I also purchased the SanDisk 5-in-1 Mobile Reader which makes transferring photos and music a snap.

  • SanDisk MicroSD (used in LG CU500 phone)
    By A1DO54K1V6GUK3 on 2007-02-22
Loaded with zero problems..(I have 2 phones, only loaded 1 so far.)
Used Windows 10.0 to load 261 songs, absorbing 864kb, leaving 127kb free
for other uses.... By the way, the CU500 is Great !

  • Very Satisfied
    By A2I18NER6XYEOC on 2007-02-24
Received in a timely fashion, was what I ordered at a better price than I could purchase at a retail chain! When I took the one back to Circuit City that I had already purchased at TWICE the price (including shipping) they informed me that they would "price match".

  • No problem
    By A20VXYT5DL0ZC6 on 2007-02-25
Works great, low price, simple install in my LG-VX8300 cellular, fast shipping in good packaging (I selected expedited shipping and it came fast in one day, it was packaged cleanly and neatly). My VCast music plays great. I wish all electronic purchases were this simple.

  • 1GB Sandisk MicroSD TransFlash Memory Card
    By A2QFCBVKEQEZVV on 2007-03-08
The flash card load my music but it wouldn't play on my VX8500 Chocolate phone, sorry it doesn't work on my phone. I even tried to use it on my brother white chocolate and it still doesn't work. But when I tried using his that he got from the Verizon store it works completely fine.

  • NIce Card
    By ALUK6HD8WA9J4 on 2007-03-13
This is the first time I purchased a card like this and At first I was a little skeptical. I got this card for my phone and when I first put it in my phone it could not be read. Then I tried the computer and the same results. I had to go to the company website to reformat the card and hope it works. Turns out it did and so far I have no more problems with it.

  • Sandisk - Only one that works with LG CU500
    By A32TTE2Q4VW65P on 2007-03-14
For mobile phone choice, my daughter wanted the Cingular LG CU500 while my son opted for the Cingular Sync (Samsung 707). Both units use MicroSD cards for storing MP3s and other stuff. I looked and found the best price for 2 Kingston Cards and bought them. However, when they arrived, the CU500 would not read the Kingston while the Sync had no problems. I checked all the blogs and read that the LG CU500 was finicky and needed the SanDisk. I found it hard to believe but went ahead and ordered this SanDisk. When it arrived, I was surprised to find out that indeed, it worked fine while the Kingston did not. I am glad they come with adapters so I can use the Kingston as a SecureSD as well. Buy this one if you have an LG CU500.

  • Awsome deal on the price
    By A3732JA6EJSEYQ on 2007-06-20
If you need a micro SD card, this is the one to get...

Cingular charged me $45 for mine, i wish i had known about this at the time. But now that my wife just upgraded her phone, she needed a card. Wally World wanted $19 but when i saw this online for $6 i jumped at it.

Don't be scared by the bulk tag, all that means is that it doesn't come in the fancy packaging. What you get is the Micro SD card, with the 2 adapter cards in a little plastic carry case. You can't beat this deal with a stick!!!

  • works great
    By A1PTJ8D6OFJ4QK on 2007-01-09
i'm using this on my fusic cell phone by lg. can be used on anything that takes a micro card. works great and holds a lot of music and/or pictures. comes with sd card adapter so you can just put the adapter in a reader and drag and drop!

  • Works in BlackBerry Pearl
    By A3HHXQIUSY1TSH on 2007-01-16
Great little card that works in my blackberry pearl. Who cares if its bulk, you don't need instructions or a box when you buy memory.

  • Fantastic
    By A3E9QZGIHWR0YF on 2007-01-19
The 1GB Micro SD card I purchased works amazing. 1GB is allot of space especially since I have over 50 songs, emails, pictures, and ring tones all on this tiny memory card. If your phone is micro SD card capable, I highly recommend this product.
