Great Game By A13UNA9EYALH03 on 2007-03-08
My 7-year-old son loves this game; he is an avid chess player and has 3 Fritz&Chesster games now!
Excellent followup By AQLKE6JVMLP1Z on 2007-06-25
My son (age 11) has enjoyed learning chess with the previous 2 Fritz and Chesster titles and Chess for Winners is just as good as the others. Where the 1st 2 titles take you through the basics of how to play and basic tactics and strategy this program builds on the basics. I've already noticed an improvement in his play after only a few days of working with this program.
good for kids; a little slow and unwieldy By AR9Y9SHFFA1ZP on 2008-01-29
My 7 yr old and his 4 yr old brother really enjoyed this game. As an adult, I don't care for it at all, but I'll split the difference and give it a 3 star rating. It entertains and teaches in its own slow, insipid way. I have a feeling if we'd started with the first installment, vs this third one, it might make more sense.
Three in a row By A3P9UQW9SBG79G on 2008-07-31
My children have now worked through all three Fritz & Chesster games, and they love them. They are fun, and they do a good job teaching chess fundamentals in a way that engages the child. They are probably on the clunky side for true gamers, but I still highly recommend them.
