Best Price: $22.50 $16.99

Break the ice at your next get-together with is incredibly fun party ice luge. Simply fill the mold with water and freeze. Then flip it over, setting the party ice luge on the raised base and you're ready for some fast-paced downhill action! The two built in ice chutes not only chill your shots, they also ensure a night of fun as you race your friends to the finish! Reusable ice mold includes everything you need to create your own party ice luge, just add water. Measures 17 x 14.5. Shot glasses not included. Please remember to drink responsibly.

Talk about an ice breaker! This large mold, looking like a luge course at the Winter Olympics, fills with water, pops into the freezer for 24 hours to thoroughly freeze, and creates the most-talked-about party centerpiece in years. Drink shots poured in the top of the two chutes not only chill on their way downhill but can be raced against each other to see which one spills into the waiting glass first. Measuring 17 by 14-1/2 inches, the luge consists of a translucent-as-ice, durable plastic mold that sits on a lime-green base, and makes a definitely unique gift for your favorite party animal. --Ann Bieri MPN: 56367 - UPC: 678291563674

  • This thing is a blast!!!!!!

    By A3OKWVCGG347KT on 2007-05-17
GREAT way to get the party started! everyone wants a turn, and forget about a glass at the bottom. Really should give it a solid 2 days to freeze, takes a long time to melt, of course, you really only need it to function for about an hour before the dysfunction at your party will set in!!!!!!!!

  • Lots of fun!!!

Great item for partys. My freinds drink right from the luge. None of this shot glass stuff. The only complaint I have is that you have to use cold alcohol or it will still come out warm. Other than that ROCK ON!!!

  • luge is a loser

    By A156GN1IEVMK7D on 2008-01-07
We froze this three times. Once it cracked upon loosening it. It got bubbles in it that prevented the booze from flowing down the path. We used a small torch to attempt to improve it, which ice carvers do, and we still couldn't make it work as the pathways are too shallow, and there is no lip or funnel design at the end of the run to place your glass under. So the liquid just runs all over the place. It's a loser.

  • Great idea but poor quality

    By A32XRWCZHYAKDO on 2008-01-12
I am surprised that this product made it to the market. It is a great idea, but the end result is extremely dissappointing. The first luge I ordered was delivered broken in the box. Amazon promptly sent a new luge and it shattered after the first use. The flimsy plastic that it is composed of does not stand up to the freezing and thawing. You are better off ordering an ice luge from your local ice company.

  • Missing parts

    By A34F9H2803012R on 2007-05-12
Missing Parts: did NOT come with the stand tubes as advertised(and i didnt have time to return it). Otherwise, it's a cheap way to have a killer party.

  • Sounds more fun than it really is
    By A3O8AAKEVKG0AY on 2007-12-03
The mold broke the first luge I made. Then when removing the ice luge, it broke in half. Made another one after a temporary repair on the mold. Difficult to get the luge to stay on the holder, ice melts fast (it was only 46 degrees outside) towards the bottom and makes it difficult to get shot into glass at bottom. Shot glasses started at the top as full and by the time it went through the luge and into the shot glass (after spilling) shot glass was only half full. Sounded like a great party idea but I was disappointed and would not recommend.

  • Cheep Plastic

This product is fun but it only worked once before it broke. Also when it melts the water just hits the floor. in turn making all the towels you have wet.

  • Luge is a LOSER
    By A22RR2MTUWZUPP on 2007-12-18
I was very unhappy with this product. I made the Luge 3 times and all 3 times the product had problems. I followed the directions and I know that it is not that difficult, It is sorta like the book "How to Boil Water". The main and difficult problems that I had was getting it out of the tray. Plus freezing it so it comes out level. We followed the directions. The on the third time the plastic gave way and cracked and I ended up not having the Luge at my party. I was pretty upset but I didn't let that get in my way of having a good time.

  • Great idea poor design
    By A2PMUV497RIDVF on 2008-02-22
I have to say once the first shot goes down and the edge is wet and melting all the shots are going to dribble down the edge and not into the glass. I would also make it so that you could make each side by itself it takes up less freezer space and you could run one luge at twice the length. When filling make sure it is as flat as possible because if it freezes with any lump/bump it will almost never sit "safe" enough in the tray.

Overall I was not happy with this.
    Not worth the money.

  • We're young again!!!!
    By A3HMVWXBWHNKVU on 2008-04-26
Our first Ice Luge experience was at a dinner party we threw for all of my husband's MBA friends and spouses. It was your typical evening until my hubby brought up the Ice Luge. He had just picked it up and was VERY excited to break it out. We set it up at the end of our dining room table, and everyone was elbowing in for their turn. We put towels down on the floor which did a great job of catching the drips. It was a blast---two people stood at the top and released the liquid and two kneeled at the bottom and drank it. It was silly fun and we had a great time!!! We used it twice since and haven't had any problems!

  • livens up the party, sweet!
    By A2JWHA5ISH9VG8 on 2008-03-18
This rocks...it's super easy to make, fits in your freezer, and really adds a lot of fun to the party! My only suggesiton for improvement would be that it should have longer legs so the angle could be steeper! All I had to do to make it steeper was prop the exisitng legs up on a 2x4 and it was perfect!

  • Great gift

Got this for my little cousin and she loved it. Haven't asked her how it was... but the WOW factor was there. Fun neat gift.

  • Party Ice Luge
    By AS6KS7QB6F61T on 2008-05-15
I was a little hesitant to purchase the ice luge because of a couple bad reviews, but I really wanted to try it for my party. After receiving the luge and following the directions, it turned out better than expected. We've used it three times so far and there have been NO problems. I'm not sure how the other buyers messed it up, but it's still producing a party favorite. I highly recommend the luge to any party host. Just follow the directions!

  • Dont waste your money
    By A3LMBNAZAEEAC6 on 2008-06-03
Not worth the $20.. Find a local place that does Block Ice and make your own luge. The plastic container is cheap and doesnt carve out trails well and the mouths are too close. In the NY/CT area, try the Icehouse of danbury, thats the only place I know who does block ice around here.

  • Do some of you have a clue?
    By A1420Q6J1BCBRS on 2008-06-07
I realize they show shot glasses at the bottom of this thing in the photo..so for all of you complaining that there is no place to put the glasses and no lip or funnel for the glasses I understand why you'd think this. But have any of you ever ACTUALLY DONE an ice luge before? THEY ARE NOT MEANT FOR GLASSES TO BE USED!!! You are supposed to put your mouth at the bottom of the luge to get the drink..THATS WHAT MAKES IT FUN!! You pour a shot of clean water down after each shot to rinse it if your concerned about mixing shot flavors on the same path, or if you dont want to put your mouth on the ice right after the last person. Use your mouth and you will have MUCH more fun and find the luge to work much better. I have no idea why they show this with the glasses other than they try to sell you the glasses with this. NO ONE and NO PLACE I have ever been have used glasses with an ice luge. It defeats the purpose of trying to catch the shot in your mouth and to see who can drink the longest shot etc..
