This kit is one that no iPod user should be without. The pieces are well constructed, and the wall charger beats Apple's own overpriced model. Also reasonably priced. I am very satisfied with this product.
Surprisingly well constructed

I picked this sucker up for $30 from Fred Meyer, after they made it clear that they had no other options available for charging my iPod from my computer (I was on vacation with no cord and a dead battery). I was only expecting it to last throughout the vacation, but I've been using it ever since.
I keep the car charger in my car, with no extra cables to burden it, and I keep the wall charger plugged into the wall. The cable retracts easily, with a design much like that of a window blind (pull until you let go, where it locks, and then pull a bit more and let go to release).
It's a small, unobtrusive, and incredibly convenient device for your iPod, and at this price, it's a steal. You'd pay two or three times this at some electronics stores for the wall charger or car charger alone, let alone one that is so solidly constructed.
No question -- if you own an iPod, purchase this product. I was impressed enough to come and write this review -- perhaps you will be too.
Great price - unfortunately, product doesn't work

I thought I was getting a real deal on this. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of leaving the seller a good feedback rating before I'd actually tried the product.
It doesn't work. The LED on the AC adapter lights up when you plug it in, but the iPod never charges. It's not worth messing with trying to get a refund for less than three dollars - I'll just avoid doing business with the seller again.
Guess there's a reason the official Apple chargers are so expensive - they actually charge the iPod.

The product was exactly as pictured, and I am VERY pleased with the construction and price. I am THRILLED that I can use the same cord for different components - this saves on storage space! This is a WONDERFUL product! I highly recommend it to any iPod owner!
too good to be true

LED lights (wall plug and car adapter) however neither ipod nor iphone are charged. The retractable USB cable lasted exactly 5 times... then the spring went flying.
This is not worth your time ordering it.

considering apple gives you only one option for charging your ipod, this bundle is an absolute must.
The wall charger is really handy, especially for vacations or a stay at a friends house where you really do not want to lug around your laptop.
The travel charger I have not tried yet but I can only assume it works as well as the wall charger. if it proves to be a disappointment I will update this review, until then I am betting it is fine.
The retractable syncing cord was actually something I didn't think I'd need or use. However I am so grateful I got it because it really is quite handy. Not only does it reduce wire clutter but it is very nice to have an extra cable, one to keep in the car for travel charging so I don't have to worry about forgetting it. And one for inside, either to bring with you to use with the wall charger or to use with the computer to sync music.
A truly great product at an extremely competitive price.

I had been looking for a set of chargers for my Apple ipod and couldn't find a price lower than the one on Amazon. Walmart wanted $19.99 for each piece to this kit and this kit comes with 3 pieces for around $10.00 total (shipping added). Great Value! Highly Recommend!!

You'd think for $.01, you couldn't go wrong. Then ok, even with shipping, it's $12. I took that chance. Well, that's $12 too much. The iPod connector is the biggest piece of s%$#. The plastic doesn't form fit correctly; one of the "prongs" on the side is sticking out like fish hook. I don't want to use it because I'm afraid it'll get stuck on my iPod, then I'll have to force it out and might damage the iPod.

The vendor was highly responsive, and I have placed multiple orders with them.
Remember, though, that you pay a lot more from Apple products and they are a lot more solid. These are lightweight yet very functional.

the charger is better then expected. It charges so well and fast for my ipod 60gig 5th generation. The rectractable usb cable can even be used on the go for file tranfer from ipod to pc.

I got this travel kit instead of the 30 bucks Apple charger. Its worth the money. The USB cable is a bit short, but you can buy a longer one from any store.

I must be honest; I was a little wary of the quality of the product, given how very low the price was. But I read other very positive reviews and figured there wasn't much to lose. And quite to the contrary, this product has been great! I'm glad I wasn't suckered into paying two or three times as much for the same thing somewhere else. :)

But it is. The price is so low that I hardly believed the chargers would work for my Nano. They do work! I've seen similar products for 10 times the price.

I am very happy with this device. It charges my Ipod as quickly as my computer. I love the advantage of being able to use the car charger as well and not depending on my PC to charge it. The convenience is so much nicer. It can be charged near any electrical outlet wherever I go and takes almost no space when traveling. This was a great buy, considering the Apple people want about 3 times as much money for their custom charger. The only thing I would have liked was an insert on how the product works and simple directions (even though it's easy to figure out). Many of the new replicas coming out are great but come with no instructions. I think even the most simple design should come with some sort of short narrative.

I have used this charger on my iPod Nano for a month with no problems. The charger is kind of cheap looking but it works well.

The product I received is branded "Inspire". The actual products are uglier than the pictured "Lux" products on amazon.
On the "InspireTech" website the product description of the home adapter reads that it has a smart chip to prevent overcharging and that it works "with all USB devices chargeable through USB". I noticed that one of the pictures on that site shows the home adapter's informational sticker. It's sticker does NOT state anything about compatibility like mine which reads: "Compatible with ipod shuffle ipod mini, ipod photo, and ipod with click wheel" (I didn't miss a comma). Not so "Universal" I guess. It seems to charge my 2nd gen nano, but I'm not even going to try the touch. I also heard a very slight whirring noise coming from the adapter when plugged in. The casing protrudes about 2 inches from the wall.
The car adapter is actually not any uglier than other car adapters I've seen, but it sure feels cheaper. It does not charge my 2nd gen ipod Nano. When I plug it in the nano initially displays the charging battery image but then returns to the normal battery image about a second later. I tried this a number of times and left it plugged in for 5 minutes. No dice.
The USB cord is about 26 inches long. There is a distinct abrasiveness to plugging this cord into the adapters or my ipod, unlike the smooth feel of the apple USB cord that comes with ipods.
All in all, about what you should expect for the price. I'm going to Apple for a better charger. No, it's not worth the cost to return it.

The LED lights light up, but when i plug it into my ipod, no charging. Also, the retractable USB cable doesn't even fit into my ipod nano 3g. I spent a good hour trying to force it in, and make it a little smaller to fit in. It's not even the same size as the actual cord. Too bad when i use the cord that came with my ipod, it doesn't even charge.

Everything seemed poorly constructed when I got the set in the mail. Then things started falling apart. The car adapter comes apart everytime you try to unplug it. Every time! So I stopped using it so that I don't get the parts stuck in the cigarette lighter plug. The home charger was fine at first, but it too fell apart. One of the prongs came out in an outlet! it is so dangerous. I almost got shocked.

This product sucks. it didnt charge my ipod nano, and also tried with other models of ipod and did not charge at all. Both the wall and car charger are useless. Dont waste your money.

On paper (i.e., computer screen) it looks like an unbeatable deal. In person, though, it looks and feels cheap, and performs accordingly.
I used both chargers with the retractable dock cord on several trips. They worked fine for about 3 months, then the car charger died.
When I called BargainCell for a replacement, they told me I'm out of luck. The items are only guaranteed by BargainCell for 30 days, and they can't even refer me to the manufacturer because the product "comes from China and there is no warranty."
Luckily I'm only out a few bucks because this package is so cheap. But I now have the hassle of researching and buying a replacement. Don't make the same mistake I made!
One thing nice to say: I love the retractable USB dock cord, as it eliminates cable clutter in my car's glove compartment.

Not a very high-tech item. However, the retractable cord, on the Ipod attachment side was badly bent, right out of the box, totally unusable. Since it was a good deal, something like $6, I decided to lump it, rather than the hassle and cost of returning it, which would likely cost more than $6. I will be much more careful about who I do business with and will not do business with this vendor again and I realize that a good deal might be too good to be true, even with a low tech item like this one.

The quality is cheap, but no complains for that keeping the price in mind. One cannot expect a better quality then this at such less price. But the carcharger doesnot work. :(

you can charge your ipod anywhere you go. it doesn't allow you to plug in an itrip or anything like an fm transmitter while charging and this takes away from the car experience, but it is very cheap in price and it works well enough and it is fairly solid.

I just needed something that would work for my 2nd Generation Nano, and this was it. Affordable and functional. I would have given it 5 stars, but the ipod connector is made out of plastic rather than metal - I'm worried about durability.

The packaging says that it is compatible with the original iPod. It is only compatible with the iPods with docks. It is inexpensive, but it is worthless to me.
