  Many people who have issues with this memory fail to realize that these are 1.9v parts. After manually setting the voltage to 1.9v I've had no issues getting the correct performance. However some motherboards (generally those in prebuilt consumer systems like Compaq/HP, Dell, etc...) do not allow for this setting to be changed.

  I installed 2GB in my ASUS P5K-E with INTEL CORE DUO 2.6 running VISTA ULTIMATE 64 BIT and I think it's fantastic, ordered 2 more GB. Way to go OCZ.

  I installed the memories in a Motherboard INTEL D975X and they do not work to 4-4-4-15 as it indicates in the page.

  I purchased it at a very good price. This kit did run well in my system (MB: Asus P5B deluxe, OS: Vista Premium 32bit) but not in my other system (MB: Asus P5B, OS: Vista Premium 32bit).
  When I tried to set the latencies manually in the bios (P5B Deluxe) the system did not boot up, I did stick to the default SPD time table which use higher latencies (5-5-5-15) than specified by OCZ for this kit. I am using it like this for 20 days till it has come to an end. While I was doing one of my long gaming session (3 hrs or more) the system just stopped responding. Ouch! I had to force the shut down. The system did not boot up again! I started troubling shooting, keeping the basic components (MB, CPU, RAM, VC, HDD, DVD, FDD, KB & mice). First I was suspecting my Crossfire setup but it was not the issue then it appeared to be the RAM. I installed another 2GB kit (Corsair) and everything is back and up again. I know OCZ has a life time warranty for kit but I was not expecting to face such issue that fast in less than a month. Now I will send it to OCZ for RMA.
  Finally I can't rate this product 5 stars because overall I am not happy and also I can't rate this product 1 star because this glitch could happen with any computer component for un-explained reasons.

  Tengo un par de estas niñas en mi pc y funcionan a la perfeccion. Estas memorias trabajan por defecto a 800MHz 5-5-5-15 @ 1.8V. Para bajar las latencias a 4-4-4-15 se deben ajustar manualmente, de igual forma el voltaje tambien se debe ajustar manualmente entre 1.9 y 2.1V en el bios setup. Las mias estan ajustadas 800MHz a 4-4-4-15 @1.95V que es maximo Vdim que admite mi tarjeta madre Asus M2N-E SLI. Si el Vdim de mi mother fuese mayor no dudaria en hacerle OC para exprimirlas hasta 900MHz o un poco mas.- Ahora puedo jugar Cod2, Cod4, NFS ProStreet y Carbono, todos a 1440x900 con maxima calidad y detalles AA4X+Aniso4x en mi AMD64 X2 5400 + 2GB OCZ Platinum Rev2 + BFG 7950GT-OC 256MB

  I mean, 70 greens, wow! Im using it right now, let me tell you this is great stuff, let me set up the pros and cons, and compatibility issues,
  
  pros:great value, fast, rieliable, heatspreaders do work
  
  compatibility issues: From the reviews (and my setup) it looks like it works the best or works with AMD proccecors, so make sure, or if you have intel, really, try these babys out, it'll be worth your time.

  This product works great once you realize that it works at a fixed voltage which is not mentioned in the accompanying product literature. Thank goodness for the Amazon reviews because a previous user listed the 1.9 Voltage required to make it work with certain motherboards. After making the BIOS adjustment the product works very well.

  Best decision I could have made on memory! This memory works great. I ordered 4 gig of it and into my machine it went, no fuss, no hassle, just worked!   Paired with a Gigabyte EP35-DS3L and an Intel E7200.
  Perfectly stable at DDR2-800 4-4-4-12. Incredibly fast.
  Unfortunately, I haven't overclocked the RAM, so can't say anything precise about that, but the way things are going, this RAM will probablly fly.

  I had only good things about this Platinum Memory and now I know why. Runs without any problems whatsoever at specified settings. I couldn't be happier. Looks like OCZ is going to my new favorite after Crucial started crapping out on their newer Desktop Memory stuff. Prices have been going up on these now because people now want these.
