  • surprised, as well

I didn't much like the Davinci Tool when I first tried it. It seemed really hard and hurt a bit. But over time I've found that it's exactly the right 'strength' for me. I use it every night when I'm watching TV before bed. I lay on the floor and use it on my back, calves, and hamstrings. I especially like how it can get under your shoulder blade, like in the picture. It's really not that expensive, so I recommend you give it a try.

I am using this product at the base of my skull to open up my cervical vetebrae. It is just the right hardness and size. I am sure any massage therapist would enjoy having this tool. I am an RN and a Massage Therapist.

  • surprise

    By A1WL3G6IW2MBIO on 2007-07-13
This product was a pleasant surprise for me. I purchased the davinci tool because it looked good for releasing muscle tension in my shoulder. It has 3 sides to it with one of the sides allowing you to rest the back of your head on for relief. What I did not expect was how well that same side on the tool relieves tension in the lower back as it cradles your spine. That feeling alone was worth the investment.

  • Great Massage Tool

I am a registered massage therapist & found this tool to be very user friendly. My favorite side of the tool is the rounded edge, it works great for the muscles on either side of the spine. The flat side is also great for resting the sacrum on - which relieves lower back pain. The pointed side is useful for working the bottom of the feet. Overall a great little investment!

  • absolute must for your back

I even showed this to my chiropractor. I use this tool every week to help relieve tension and realign my back. Great health item!

  • Huh?
    By A1ZPXC87RR6EU1 on 2008-05-12
This product doesn't make any sense to me. I've used numerous back and muscle related products and they all do something useful. This one - not so much.

One major problem with it is that it is made for you to 'lie' on, but it isn't strong enough to actually put any serious weight on (and I'm not a big person, just regular size). I think if it were really solid and held it's shape under weight, maybe it would work, but absent that, it is marginal and there are much better (and cheaper!) alternatives.

  • Divinci Tool
    By A1HYVG98B5Q3AL on 2008-02-13
This is a "different" tool to use but very effective. It is great for working out the knots in the muscles but it is hard to get use to. I use it against the wall for the upper back and scapula areas working in smal circles or up and down motions to work the trigger points. I tis great on the floor for the neck! Especially at the base of the skull. The directions say that it can be used to massage a partner but I don't like how it feels . I can't "feel" the muscles I am working. But it is good to massage my legs and glutes as long as there is oil to help with the friction. I to recommend it for anyone who needs to do self massage and trigger point pressure.

  • Don't understand
    By A2YETA61FZDV6H on 2008-03-24
I don't quite understand what the deal is with this product. I could pull a similar sized toy out of my kid's toy closet and produce the same result. Perhaps I'm missing something, but this isn't one of my better purchases.

  • So-so
    By A1ONDFSBTN9ULS on 2008-08-31
I found it only moderately good at what it's supposed to do. I think a tennis ball or other small rubber ball would work as well. I used it to put pressure on sore muscles between my shoulder blades. It seems as if it might be too large for me to position well (I'm a 5'5" male). It's not really bad, but seems overpriced to me.

  • really good for your neck
    By A3BQUE7HR18B97 on 2008-05-22
I was looking for something for lower back pain. while this is a great product, I havent found it the perfect fit for my ailments. I use it mainly for my neck and my calves. This tool is heaven for those since all you have to do is let your body weight do the work.
I have another tool. I think it's called the thera-cane. that is the tool I use for my shoulders and my lower back since it can really pinpoint the pressure, but that products shortcoming is the fact that you actually have to use your muscles. either way the Davinci Tool is definitely worth it.

  • Not what I thought
    By A1V2ER8AUBRSZG on 2008-06-22
Very hard plastic, and I didn't really like the feel of this under my neck or shoulder.

  • Odd
    By A3A6G37LQKNOB9 on 2008-08-28
My son recommended this to me for shoulder pain. He said it would hurt. It did. Plus, instructions on how to use it were nil.
However, I did position it under my shoulder, feeling a lot of pain at the source, and also radiating into my neck. Then after about 20 minutes, I felt a "pop" like something giving near my scapula. After that my shoulder was much better. So who knows?

  • life changer
    By A1JH13LXNI26QQ on 2008-08-27
this little tool is a life changer for me. Like a mini-rolfing session without the expense. My only caution is that it could do damage if you are not careful.

  • Its ok...Needs Instructions
    By A2H3S3ICAYXXRV on 2008-09-29
I've had it for a while now and I really don't use it too often, mostly due to the fact that I don't know how to. I bought items similar at the same time as this that I prefer for back pains and whatnot; such as, the "spine-worx" and the(backbody) trigger point therapy tools. I use those quite a bit and they work great. I tried incorporating the DaVinci into the therapy and I still haven't found great use of it. I have tried though. I'm not really sure if I would recommend this product, for the price its not too bad. I hope this helped.
