Warning- beware By A7AD46VXAXPG1 on 2007-09-29
I had ordered 3 of these for a camping trip and found them to be great. However, after ordering 20 to give out for my child's birthday party, we read the package warning on the back.
Here is it exactly:
WARNING:
Always wear ANSI approved safety goggles when using this product. Before using this product, the user should read the operating instructions to understand everything about this product. Normal everyday use of this product is likely to expose the user to dust and microscopic particles containing lead and other chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Always wear the appropriate clothing and safety equipment when operating this product. Wash hand thoroughly after the use and handling of this product.
That last line is what really made our decision. When was the last time you had to think about wearing safety goggles and washing your hands after using a flashlight?
Bright, compact flashlight - though has a flickering issue. By A1WJ8U24MI7RUZ on 2007-06-29
I am editing this review since 2 of the 3 lights I purchased have developed a flickering issue. The light flickers, which can be annoying. I don't know if this is due to the cheap batteries they came with or the light itself. The Flashlight is actually very bright, almost as bright as the 21 bulb flashlight I also purchased. The beam is not too narrow, quite useable. For the price of $2.99 (it includes batteries) it is a fantastic deal. The quality seems OK, I bought 3 of them, they all work.
Poor build quality, nice light for the price. By A1LXESUUNI846B on 2007-09-09
Bought 3 of these flashlights in different colors. One of the units, the cool blue one, first started showing intermittent lighting, then died. After pushing on the glass face of the flashlight, the light came back on, but soon went away. After a few more tries pushing on the glass face, the light came back on, hopefully to stay. To ensure that it stays operational, I've added superglue to make sure the glass does not shift out the millimeter or two that seems to kill the flashlight. Still decided to give it 4 stars because for the price it does give out decent light to use on camping trips, and battery life has been good though I have not timed it. Also, to be fair, it did take some abuse from my son, and I don't really expect a low priced flashlight to handle too much abuse.
Super-Bright 9 LED Heavy-Duty Compact Aluminum Flashlight - Cool Blue By A3UWYGVZLYJZ9U on 2007-06-07
I was expecting a much larger flashlight when I ordered this. I've used it quite a bit for over a month and it still shines near as bright as when I first got it so I am pleased with that but I thought a 9 LED flashlight would be brighter. Not that it's not bright - it is - but not near as bright as the 20 LED flashlight I bought at the same time. Overall it is a good SMALL flashlight for the money

I BOUGHT THESE FLASHLIGHTS ON A WHIM, BUT AFTER GETTING THEM I FIND THE FLASHLIGHTS VERY USEFUL IN MANY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. THEY ARE COMPACT AND FIT EASILY INTO THE HAND, YET PRODUCE A GREAT DEAL OF LIGHT.
- Great little lights, lots of power!
     By A1Y0GSWRZ5V4PN on 2007-07-29
These little lights are fantastically bright for their size. They are not as good as their 21 LED cousins which are only slightly larger and I think worth the upgrade, but they are really nice, esp for the price!
We bought one for each of our daughters for camping and for each of our cars.
- Great deal for the Money!
     By A1RGQH8H01TVM1 on 2007-09-10
I bought 2 of these for $2.99 each. Even with the high shipping and handling they were a great deal. Now that I see you can get them using Amazon prime for $4.99 I may buy a bunch more. FYI-I consider myself a flashaholic since I have an extensive collection of flashlights and these are probably the best bang for the buck I've seen...
- Great compact flashlight
     By A3BVL4VX6IE5XJ on 2008-10-06
It has a decently bright, fixed narrow flood pattern, in the bluish-white spectrum. Useful for walking at night, and its 3.5" length is great for for cramped spaces. Compared to the $25 Dorcy 41-4275, it's less focused and has less power. Can't be beat for $5.50!
- Nice product
     By A195OCPDZ4E9US on 2007-07-27
Bought it after we lost power 3 times in 24 hours. Used it when we lost power again a few weeks later. Small, compact, but bright. I like the battery holder. Bought a few more for the kids and the wife to carry in their purses. Not really bulky so it fits in a jeans pocket. Also put them in the cars glove compartments.
- love it
     By A1SHUBSEFG6H91 on 2007-08-13
My wife and I bought some of these. They have been great! We've purchased a bunch for friends and family as well. Great value!
- Big light in a small package
     By A2NUXRHIDXD0VO on 2007-09-07
This is the best flashlights I've bought in years! Though it's small, it's construction and metal casing make it a rugged little thing. And then there's the price, which can't be beat. But of course, it weren't more than adequately bright, none of that would matter for much. In that regard, I'm more than satisfied with the output of the 9 LEDs, allowing it to light up whatever I aim the thing at, even across the room. If you're looking for a good inexpensive flashlight, this is the one for you.
- It Works For Me
     By A1AHIZ3MJDFC52 on 2007-09-15
It's as good or better than the high tech led fashlights. It provided all the light I needed at the time.
- great to have.
     By A2OGPRAUA3D731 on 2007-10-05
great and bright flash light. It's small and compact. You can keep it in your pocket and it's just like carrying another cellphone.
- Great small flashlight!
     By A38WO169SK4QV0 on 2007-10-11
This flashlight emits a very strong amount of light considering its very small size. Its light is slightly blue tinted (what I found to be nice and comfortable for my vision), with both a central focus beam and a considerable broad peripheral light as well. In a completely dark, medium-sized room, you can get all the place illuminated if you point it to a white ceiling - and I'm using the original, cheap AAA batteries that came with it. I bought 3 of them: 1 for my home, 1 to keep in my car and another one as a spare for anything else. It is light and comes with an attachable hand strap.
The only inconvenience I've realized so far is that the light sometimes fades out or even goes out due to loose contacts inside the flashlight (that requires some shake to get it back on). Despite that, it's highly recommended!
Once you have your first LED-based flashlight, you'll never go back to those ones that still use those weak, antiquated yellow light bulbs.
PS: Just keep in mind that the best (flash)lights to use during intense fog and pouring rain are the yellow ones (that is, those with color temperatures around 2700 ~ 3500 Kº). This highly applies to vehicle lights as well.
- Bright, Lite, and affordable.
     By ATQ94BNMBU6ZN on 2008-01-09
Very Bright, Very Lite, and very affordable. Includes the new LED technology which means you never have to replace a light bulb; practically lasts forever. Even comes with batteries. How can you say more. For the price, buy a couple.
- LED Flash Light
     By A1H8DIMJJRD121 on 2008-01-14
Wow - the LED (9 Led's) flashlight is a great buy, cheap buy that puts out a brigh beam. I got the flashlights (20 of them) to give out end a talk I'm giving to my Toastmaster Club. The Flashlights cost less that $3, including shipping.
The batteries it takes is 3 AAA, when you have to buy more. But when you buy the flashlight you get 3 batteries.
And when you press the end, the flashlight goes on/off.
These are great to have on hand just in-case of an earthquake.
- Powerful, Bright, Small and a great price!
     By A2Q2ZWNPW85GNG on 2008-01-28
Hi, i got one of these as a little surprise for my hsuband. I like how small the unit is and its incredibly bright.
Perfect for tight spaces behind entertainment centers, inside computers, or even outside at night walking the dog.
I like this particular flashlight because its small enough to be concealed in the palm of my hand and it doesn't look like i'm carrying a flashlight -- so i can walk our dog at night and at least feel more protected having it...without carrying around a big bulky flashlight.
Just an FYI though -- watch out for these Cheap PRices with Expensive shipping costs. I managed to get our little guy through hobbytools and they charged me 0$ shipping.
Great value for the price -- you'll love it!
- Small and bright
     By A2F9WWJF9TEVIT on 2008-02-18
Although I haven't used these little flashlights much I know that they work. They are bright and perfect for around-the-house use and emergency use as well. Brighter than most lights since they are small it works out perfectly. The only question I still have is how long do they hold up... I don't know yet and haven't used them enough to call them "used."
- good small flashlight

i bought these for my grand children for camping. the size is perfect for them
- lots of light, low price
     By A3C2I980PMJ25Y on 2008-02-25
This light is compact and very bright. LEDs should last longer than the old style incandescent flashlight bulbs. Possible concern is that the aluminum housing is quite thin - not sure that it would survive a fall.
- Can't beat it for the price...
     By A21SRQ181Z3AF6 on 2008-02-26
I own a lot of flashlights and like LED's, but this is one of the few that really emits a beam of light that reaches out as well as a good area light.
- wonderful compact flashlight
     By A11WMBFX2I43L0 on 2008-02-29
This is a wonderful little flashlight. It is very compact and gives out lots of light for its size. The price is about one half of dept. store price.
- We got two. One worked, the other one doesn't...
     By A37EZ6322J0AO4 on 2008-04-06
The one that works is nice. It is compact, but still a pretty good light. Plus the battery life seemed fine. However, the fact that the other one would not stay on and is always blinking off makes it so that I cannot recommend this product.
- Totaly Light

     By AYLS2GNR26RGY on 2008-06-14
As a home inspector, this light is bright enough to light up dark attics and crawlspaces (surprisingly bright!) and cheap enough that I won't sweat it if I accidentally leave it behind or lose it in the attic insulation! That hasn't happened yet, but just in case!
- Super-Bright Flashlight
     By A1IYNKFWV80AP1 on 2008-09-04
I gave this light to my wife to carry in her purse. The light is great - she has used it several times since I gave it to her. The only complaint she has had is that the lanyard, that comes with the light, wore out the little hole that the lanyard is hooked through. Other than that little issue, she really likes it.
- LED Compact Flashlight
     By A2I5LVVQ7WXEH6 on 2008-09-19
These 2 flashlites I bought for our trip to Alaska have worked great. Bright light sure helps in the darkness to see your way. Cool blue color, too. Sturdy construction and small enough to tuck into a corner of our travel bags we use on trips and store for emergency use if needed.
- Cheap and toxic
     By A2LDM0YYS11NEO on 2008-09-23
First did not work at all, and the second has a broken seal. They both have warnings on them to wash hands after use due to lead contamination...so much for giving them to the kids!
