About Graco In 1942, Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products, in Philadelphia, PA. For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products, but had trouble coming up with ideas. Enter David Saint, an engineer, tinkerer, and stained glass artisan who worked for Graco. Saint, himself a father of nine, was intrigued when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and cranky baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. Acting on this inspiration, he went to the drawing board and 18 months of hard work later, the world's first wind-up infant swing, the Graco Swyngomatic, was born. Graco sold millions of Swyngomatics in the coming years, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of juvenile products in the process. Today, Graco is a Newell Rubbermaid company, with 1500 associates worldwide. While a half-century has brought many changes to Graco, their dedication and commitment to designing and manufacturing top-quality products remains, and continues on. What's in the Box Playard, full-size bassinet, toy bar with toys and carrying bag.

Great function and value By A14BLNECPJ3U2C on 2007-07-25
Three pack and plays from different companies. This one is by FAR the better one. Bonus: It cost the least. Pros: easy to setup, easy to pack up, very sturdy, fairly light and seemingly the most comfortable. Cons: I haven't found one in 21 months despite my daughters hard work to find a flaw.
Rave review for Graco Pack N Play - Our 3rd one By ADY6TP2L2K3GV on 2007-11-14
These Graco Pack N Plays are great. We just bought our 2nd and 3rd ones as grandparents. This newer model is much easier to set up and much easier to take apart with the big release buttons on each of the 4 sides. Don't tell the younger generation but these are very much like the playpens of years ago ... yes, I know ... playpens are out these days as this generation of parents wants to give their kids freedom to move around and go where they want :-) Back to the product: the value for the price is outstanding. These Pack N Plays seem to last forever. Graco Pack N Play with Bassinet The write up ought to say that sheet is no longer included.
Great for the price By A1QN4NKKNGHGOY on 2007-12-27
After returning a much more expensive product with all of the bells and whistles and a similar product by Evenflo, I did a lot of research on which playard would be best for us. We had no use for the changing tables attached to many of them, and wanted one that would allow us to pack the bassinet into the carry bag for travel. Many of them do not allow you to do this. This one is serving us quite well. It is easy to put up and take down--much easier than the Evenflo or Baby Trend ones. The bassinet just snaps on the sides and doesn't require a lot of metal bars, like others do. There are also buttons on each side to release them for folding, which I find easier than the things you have to push from underneath and can't even see. I would only go with Graco. Also, the padding is a bit softer than these other brands. It's still not really comfortable for our baby, but I just put a blanket between the pad and the sheet, and he seems to sleep fine. This is where I take off a star. I don't know why manufacturers think that a baby wants to sleep on a piece of cardboard. Overall, I have no complaints, and find this product to be well worth the price.
Minor quality issues By AO8HJ8MZKPUWC on 2008-02-16
I too was very surprised by the ease of assembly and its well thought-out design, buttons, and straps. After just assembling it for the second time though, I noticed some stress lines (lighter color) on one of the long side clips used to hold up the bassinet attachment. I also had trouble getting the toy bar to clip over the bassinet clip (as per the product photo) but maybe I'll try again. The Noah's Ark motif is cute but I hadn't noticed until I read the other reviews because (a) the print is upside down on the short sides of the pack n play, and (b) the sheets etc. cover up the base of the pack n play. Lastly, the baseboard bows slightly when placed in the bassinet with say a mattress and tight fitting sheets... it'd be nice if the stiffener was attached to the baseboard instead of the bassinet. I think this is a wonderful product though and only mention these points as room for improvement.
Noah's Ark fabric pattern By A3NJJKJTGFY0XS on 2008-01-06
I just opened up the box and was surprised to find that the fabric print is noah's ark, which certainly wouldn't have been our first choice since we aren't religious. I thought it was probably worth posting this info for others since I can't see that it says so or shows it clearly on this ordering page.
- Very Practical
     By AHMKE1AJEHHS3 on 2007-03-29
I'm a first time mom, so before my daughter was born, I buy a bassinet, but babies grows so fast, and start roll over, that in 1 month it no longer fit.
I buy this, and I think that is great!
Low Price, practical ( you can leave anywhere) and very comfortable!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
- Well designed, but my baby hates it
     By A1K22IFHM99SVT on 2007-07-17
I find no problem with the design. Very, very cleverly folds up to an amazingly small thing, yet opens easily and feels sturdy enough when open. Has two heights for the mattress level, either flat on the bottom or supported by straps at a high level (useful for small babies who can't yet sit up).
We were hoping to use this for our baby as an alternate sleeping area downstairs, but for some reason our baby has consistently hated being placed on it in its "higher" position (from age 2 mos up to the 4 mos he is now). I have no idea why. When placed in his crib, or on either of our changing tables, he's smiling and happy, but he hates being placed in this crib, and his little lower lip pouts into a cry as soon as we place him in it. So, although I would give it 5 stars, my baby clearly gives it a 1 rating... hence I've averaged it out to a 3 star rating.
When he's older, we perhaps can switch to the lower position and use it as a playpen, but it's a tad too small as a full-time playpen ... useful only as a playpen when traveling. I'm assuming in this review that (even though it's called "Pack...") this was designed for fairly full-time use in some capacity or other.
Please note that many of the Graco Pack N Plays use exactly the same mechanism for their "higher level" position.
- WONDERFUL!!!
     By A27D39FNT9FC54 on 2007-05-24
I purchased the pack and play after becoming a grandmother twice within 2 weeks. This is easily the greatest thing I have ever bought for a baby. It folds and stores easily and sets back up just as easily. It has been a real lifesaver for us with visiting babies. Now it functions as a changing table and bassinet and will later work as a playpen/crib for sleepovers at Nanny and Pa's house. Well worth the money.
- Extra sleeping at Grandma's
     By A1QH8RMX1QB6WT on 2007-11-12
This is a very good bed for someone to purchase especially for the price and free shipping. We had it assembled it just a few minutes and it is very sturdy. Now when the new grandbaby comes over for a while mom and dad don't have to bring some much stuff. Thanks.
- A Terrific Product
     By ANIGR6OH0UYFB on 2007-12-17
If you are taking your little one visiting or leaving with Grandma overnight, this product is a must have. It is compact, easy to assemble, and packs away easily.
- Graco Pack 'n Play Portable Playard with Bassinet in Rise and Shine
     By A28QPKZIMDP5WR on 2008-06-13
Graco makes great products, but this one was not up to par. The main problem was that this particular Pack 'n Play doesn't have the four corner tabs that the floor sort of snaps into. When our very petite daughter would stand at the edge, her weight would cause the floor to slip and she would slowly drop a few inches down. Life threatening? No. But it was not very stable. I assumed all Pack n' Play products had the corner tabs that make for a secure floor. We ended up purchasing another Graco model and it has been perfect.
- Good value for the price
     By ACALT8X8XA0XP on 2007-03-15
This was a gift and in shopping for a pack-n-play, it seemed the best value for the price.
- Cute and Practical
     By A36LQLSN4ZZ7FQ on 2008-05-15
I bought 2 of these playards for my twins. I decided to spend a little less and buy 2 of these; one for upstairs and one for downstairs. What I really need is a safe place to set babies down and a napping station on each floor.
The design is pretty cute, but not overpowering: cartoon cows and dots, beige, browns and navy blue.
It took 2 minutes to set up.
Simple, non-fussy (yet still cute) design seems more practical than the fluffy, stuffy, fancy playyards on the market and fits into my house.
There is no changing table, but I didn't feel that the changing table was necessary, since there is a bassinett built into the playard anyway.
Just fine for the money. Glad I didn't waste a bunch of cash on frillier playards.

Bought for our great granddaughter. It works great. Easy to set up and
easily collapses for storage.
- Happy so far

We have taken our pack n play on two trips with our 2 month old and have been very happy with it so far.

- graco pack in play
     By A1U96733WEMY4R on 2007-11-13
I love this bassinet. It is easy to set up and take down and the bassinet is big and roomy for the baby. It is everything I hoped it would be. I highly recommend this bassinet.
- No frills pack n play
     By A26YKBFZCVATOW on 2007-12-11
It's easy to fold and unfold and it's a nice safe place for baby to play. I like the Noah's ark motif. It's cute.
- We like it!
     By A3GRCKKGTEWQIH on 2007-12-26
While this pack n play is not as intricate as others, it offers everything one needs; a higher "bassinet" option, then a lower option for 20 lbs+. We enjoy it and it seems to meet our needs. We first kept it in the living room when we had company everyday. Then it was moved to our room where baby slept between our bed and the bassinet. Now, it's at grandma's! It's amazingly easy to fold up and take with you and open up again, much more than pack n plays of past years.
- Best buy
     By A3UPXWOXX9PZ6H on 2008-01-01
The Graco pack and play was cheap but is well made and represents excellent value - the mattress needs a bit more padding but that can easily be added.
Overall very well made and why pay more?
- Perfectly Packs 'n Plays
     By A72AIHXAHHFLA on 2008-05-04
This works just perfect for the new grandbaby. Easy to take apart and put back together in a hurry. Very easy to move from room to room because it fits through the doorways!
- Looks soo uncomfortable!
     By AH4H24I8NW1SP on 2008-07-30
This pack 'n play is easy to set up and store away, but I found the mattress to be so uncomfortable for the baby. The baby tends to 'sink' towards the center of the bed which makes it really awkward to sleep in.
- good if your baby uses it
     By A3LTYFWR6UN49H on 2008-01-01
Good bassinet /pack and play if your baby uses it. My baby would not sleep in the bassinet , she preferred to sleep in bed next to me so we did not use it much. Otherwise, good sized and sturdy, good buy!!
- Wonderful for grandparents (and parents)
     By A30X0SNJSDCRRN on 2008-03-03
We purchased this item for our newest grandchild to have at our home. It is wonderful. We have used it so many times and in fact our daughter returned the one I purchased for her (different brand) and we bought another one of these for her. The bassinet is great and the adjustable toy bar is very nice also. Have no complaints at all
- Grandma's pack 'n play
     By AY995AKCT52BR on 2008-03-06
My first grandson isn't here yet, but for the price, this is one sturdy, convenient piece of equipment. My son has seen it, and was impressed, even though the one on their registry is much more expensive. This is for me, though, and I think it will be great and last through many babies. The directions were difficult to figure out(just illustrations), but I eventually got it together, and I'm really pleased.
- Portable and weighs less than others
     By AHSHM8J3PMO5V on 2008-04-25
Very good for moving in and out of the bedroom for newborn. Goes down hall s and into bedrooms with one hand. Would highly recommend to others. only thing missing is a changing table add on. Will be used for years I'm sure.
- Graco Pack n' Play
     By A2JLOWBKWIW1G5 on 2008-04-26
It is beautiful just what I ordered. Was sent on time and arrived without any nick or dings in box. Easy to set up and put away. I like the fact that it folds up into a small bag. It won't take up much room.
- So Easy
     By AEWZVDV0QNRJ2 on 2008-04-28
This is easiest pack and play ever. It dosn't have all the bells and wistles but it you are just using it for travel or for a playpen it is great! We keep it up in our bedroom so that our son can play while we shower or run to another room!
We had another pack and play with the attached changing table and diaper area but it was so complicated to set up you had to fight with it and once you got it set up it was huge and took up the whole room.
I did not give this product 5 stars b/c my son was over 15 lbs when we got it so I never used the bassinet attachment so I can not comment on its performance.
- Well worth the money

Graco Pack 'n Play Portable Playard with Bassinet in Tango in the Tongo
this is the 4th pack & play I've bought this year and truly found it to be the best buy. Cute, well made, great price, blends into any decor because of the neutral color.
- TRAVEL PERFECT!
     By AYGEWZVYVCQXU on 2008-05-04
We needed something for the baby to sleep in on our trip. This was a great deal. You get a playpen for when they get bigger, and a bassinet, all in one. I'm glad that we got this. It was definitely worth the money. Highly recommend for anybody with a baby and has to travel!!
