Very comfortable, but doesn't last forever By AEZGV06OVCFRG on 2006-01-12
I originally bought this bed as a "quick fix" as I was moving into a new apartment. After the first few nights of using it, I was impressed enough to delay my plans to purchase a real bed. Unfortunately, I noticed that it had started to develop small leaks after using it continuously for three years. Patching it up worked at first, but six months later, another small leak developed and I knew it was time to replace it.
Having struck gold once, I bought a similar air bed at from a different company. It was okay but after one night on it, I decided that I need to patch up the old bed one last time until I order a replacement for it. The soft mattress top on my Rising Comfort really makes a difference, the other one was just an air bed. I'm ordering another ASAP, but I'm deciding on which model to purchase.
I don't expect that very many people would be looking to purchase this as their main bed. But I would recommend it for whatever purpose it is needed for. Speaking for myself, I experienced very little air loss for the first few years without ever taking it down. Before I had a leak, I recall only using the pump a few times to make it more firm. I'm wondering if those who had trouble received defective units or had problems with the cap when periodically deflating and sorting it.
Great Bed , and Comfort By AIVEA14G8CYM5 on 2005-10-07
I bought this bed a week ago, and have been using it for regular night sleeping purposes and not just for un-timely occasions when guest come over.
Over all, i find my purchase to be worth all the research I had been doing to find an air bed. One thing I was looking more for was the feature of elevation, ie ; Hieght from ground level, and this one is over 22 inches tall, high enuf for what i wanted. also I read some where in the reviews here that some people find it to be less in size what has been described but for me, size is all fine and matches description.
I have a bad backache problem becoz of which i have trouble sleeping in night, but this one is much of a comfort to me. I feel less pain, may be 10% of what i used to when sleeping on my previous one. The firmness of the bed can be re-adjusted, and it DOES NOT LOOSE AIR FREQUENTLY. Since I have been sleeping on it for a week now, I have just tried to fill in air once for meager 15-20 sec, (it comes with a electric pump, fills it all in 3 mins), but that is when i had earlier taken some air out to make it less firm. So, Air leak is no prob and a fear.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Very comfortable By A2GWU3N3UXOABI on 2007-03-09
This bed inflates quickly and deflates quickly. I found it very comfortable and durable. The only thing I found a problem with was its ability to hold a fitted sheet securely in place. Delivery was right on time. Fits well in included duffle bag.
More than I expected By AUMFQRJTG8C5B on 2006-02-16
Very easy to inflate and deflate. Bed is very comfortable. In fact, my 5 year old wants to switch his twin bed for the comfort of this queen air! I would highly recommend it for someone in need of a guest bed...it's much better than your average air mattres that lays on the floor. I think I made a good investment in this purchase.
Who needs a mattress! By ALHFZV6A19DZ2 on 2006-02-20
Got the bed as a temp but keeping it as a main bed until it dies on me, it's just that good.
- Take a Dramamine before using
     By A2N3QJXQKKHAUK on 2006-07-12
We bought this mattress to have as an extra bed since we were having company over. The bed inflated fine but since the bottom of it is not flat (think of it as being on pontoons) it wobbles something fierce if you or the person next to you has the audacity to roll over. I put something under the middle of it to make it more level but all that did was keep me from rolling downhill into the middle of it and crashing into my wife. It's inflated to the max. and doesn't lose air, but I was going to lose my dinner if I slept in it any longer and have chosen sleeping on the couch rather than sleeping on this moonbounce. I don't think it's really meant to have two people on it despite the size.
Seriously, you get what you paid for.
- Great if it doesn't leak
     By A1EFM2OWDGCD45 on 2005-02-18
We set this bed up when traveling. It was comfortable to begin with. Three times during the first night we needed to fill it up with air. The company was of no help as their warrenty is very limited and we waited a few months to use it because we were finishing our home.
- Great Bed
     By A3EZY90TIZ2MMA on 2005-09-12
I have a twin-size version of this bed and I don't understand why I am seeing so many negative reviews. I bought it as a secondary bed for a small office/bedroom a couple weeks ago, filled it with air using the built-in pump, and it hasn't lost air yet. As far as I'm concerned, it was a great purchase.
- Fabulous Airbed
     By on 2003-10-01
I had a friend who used this air bed over the summer at another friend's house and it was great. It was very easy to use and it did not have any of the inflation problems that occur with other airbeds. The friend who used it also has the Aero bed and said that it was comparable to it.
- WORTHLESS!

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON INTEX AIRBEDS,BELIEVE ME I HAD THREE SINCE {01.28.04 - 04.07.04} AND THEY ALL WERE WORTHLESS.NO WARRANTY EXCEPT FROM THE STORE WHERE PURCHASED.THIS PRODUCT DOESN'T DESERVE A RATING!
- GREAT NIGHT'S SLEEP!
     By A35XXA4EAFEZMA on 2004-12-28
Inflates quickly! Make sure there's an extra amount of air to compensate for stretching. Sleep like a dream! Comfort, but it moves your partner if you have to get up at night. I sleep well, but wake up on a flat bed lately. (No big deal, it's absolutely great for small apartments!) It folds up easily, but not putting it into the storage bag is best. It fits, but with effort that most women will find very difficult.
I would rate it a 9+. An excellent deal!

I bought this Item Feb/2005.The bed blows up perfectly but in the process of sleeping on it, it deflates (without punctures). Also when trying to let air out of the bed you must turn machine on/off (wait a minute for reset) then turn back on for full deflation. The price is good but very troublesome.
- Ideal for temporary, short- term use
     By A26X1ZCV8NH92J on 2005-07-02
While this is a well-made airbed, it is best suited for temporary, short-term use. It is not a good substitute for a real mattress in your bedroom; your back needs more comfort and support than what an airbed can offer. Be sure to follow the advice of the owner's manual--keep pets away from the airbed. Cat claws and airbeds make a bad combination. Luckily, Intex provides a patch to seal small holes.
- NOT A QUEEN
     By A2XT0LCY1DCIV8 on 2007-01-11
This bed is NOT a queen size. It is a full. Only full sized sheets fit on it, queen sized ones swallow it. The base of it is wider, one assumes for stability, and perhaps this is the measurement they are using to claim it's queen. They are being VERY generous. The sleeping surface is a FULL size. Functionally, it inflates quickly and hold air very well. I have noticed no leaks. The quality is great. The only complaint I have with this mattress is the misstated size and for that alone, I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
- Intex Airbed Queen
     By A3E9BJ4JAY4FJ0 on 2006-11-15
I had a temporary move for 6 months so I bought this airbed. I was doubtful at first as to how comfortable it could be. I was amazed. It is extremely comfortable and very roomy. I would recommend this bed to anyone. I have a back problem but am not affected at all by this bed.
- Great, improved product!
     By ABINX0EZRRY1B on 2007-06-27
I used to have the older version of this one, used it a lot in my guestroom for 5-6 years straight. Kept it always inflated until it started leaking on the top chamber. This one has improved shape, corners are raised so more comfortable without the "falling off the bed" feeling if you like to sleep on the edge (like myself) and the pump is built-in, no need to wait 12 hours for it to charge! Just plug and inflate. Is is quite elevated like the old one, but it is one chamber. However, if there is a leak, this one is useless while the older one is still good as a single layered bed.
- My Back Doesnt Care for This Air Mattress
     By A26ITT1SYI2M80 on 2007-08-18
I ordered this mattress to have one for my brother's visit. I gave him my Aero air mattress and used the Intex as I didn't want to aggravate his goofy back. The Intex has a very easy to use pump. Twist the main dial has a vent hole in its center. Twist it one way to open the valve and let out air. Twist it the other way to close the valve. A rocker switch starts up the electric airpump. Its a bit lower than a conventional mattress. I found the air pump not quite up to the task. I ran the pump to put as much air as I could in the mattress but never got it as firm as I need it to be for my back. If 2 people are on the mattress, then the weight of the 2nd person will put more pressure on, and make both sides feel firmer. But since I was the only body on the mattress, it felt too soft, and sagged to where my back yearned for the floor to get better support. Its currently rolled up in its storage bag and will be used only if my main air mattress has a blowout.
- Comfy and holds its air!
     By A3QS76Q2YIOM5C on 2007-09-20
We got this mattress for house guests, and since my mother was coming for a week, I wanted something good, not something cheap. We have hardwood floors and I dreaded her waking up on the hard floor because the mattress deflated over night. I bought this mattress based on a customer's review (the one who has slept on it for years!) so I figured this one is the best. MANY THANKS TO THAT CUSTOMER! This mattress is durable, comfortable, and a great value for the money.
It inflated quickly - it was so easy to figure out. We inflated it to what we thought was a good firmness. After night one, Mom wanted more air. For the entire week, we never had to add more. She loved it! One nice feature is the height - she said it feels like a real bed, not like you are sleeping on the floor. It's an air mattress, so if you have hardwood floors like we do, make sure you put a rug under it, or you will feel cold. Deflates quickly for storage.
We might try it this weekend and see how it feels with two people sleeping on it. Then I'll write another review. I highly recommend this mattress. I remembering camping as a little kid with air mattresses, and we tried everything. My Mom was skeptical and figured she would end up on the couch at some point. I didn't think a good air mattress could be made, but obviously somebody figured it out! Don't hesitate to buy this one.
- Not too shabby for a week
     By A8M09YEAOR9R7 on 2007-11-17
I bought this bed because we were moving across the state and we would arrive at our new home 7 days before our bed did. Instead of spending $100 a night at a hotel I spent a little over $100 to have this shipped overnight. When the order was placed, it was late in the day and the company called me to make sure that shipping it out the next day was acceptable. Score points for customer service.
The actual bed itself inflated fast and stayed inflated for the night. Unlike another inflatable bed that I had bought for camping years before from Walmart. It didn't really take too long to deflate but my MIL and I had to try a couple of different ways to fold it to get it fit back into the case and my luggage. But really, that's the nature of all inflatable things. You never get all the air out and it never fits back the same way.
The only cons were that it did dip to the side of the heavier person so if I slept flat I would tip towards my husband. But it was fairly comfortable for an air mattress. My husband didn't think so, but he has a pretty bad back. We did have to turn on the inflation device before we went to sleep the next night for about a minute to firm it back up but I think we may have exceeded the weight limit.
All in all, not bad for 7 nights and I'd put my guests on it no problem. I don't see how anyone could use this as their only mattress though.

Good buy. Very Little Leak. The bed itself is very convenient, feels really good. Will definitely buy again.
- excellent value for price
     By AX3LIIIARZS4Y on 2006-11-03
the air bed is an excellent value for the price. it's easy to set up and stores nicely in the bag that comes w/it. my guests were very comfortable
and even tried to take it home with them.
- Nice Product for the Price
     By A1HK3N4X51Q0JG on 2007-03-08
We used this when we were "Camping Out" for a few days in an empty house. It was much more comfortable than sleeping bags on the floor. I would recommend getting sheets and making this up as a real bed to throwing a sleeping back on top (especially if you roll around a lot in a sleeping bag).
All in all, a good product for the price.
- airbed
     By ABGAOOFYHHU11 on 2007-03-11
The bed is quite comfortable and easy to set up. It does not stand as tall as I thought it would, thus the four star rating; it comes to the lower part of my thigh. The express shipping took six days and was not two days...so you may not want to waste your money on that.
- GREAT Airbed!!!
     By AWVB4D8MK9JKV on 2007-06-01
I bought this bed for overnight guests. It has been blown up since (4 weeks) and is still full of air. It is extremely comfortable and my guests raved about how nice it was to have the raised blow up bed as well as it being so comfortable!! Would definitely recommend this product!!!
- Worked fine
     By ASZIAUHWFC81A on 2007-09-03
We needed a temporary bed that could easily be collapsed during the day
while visiting my father for a week. An air bed made sense, but after
researching the matter, reading about other people's bad experiences,
and recalling some air beds I have slept that have lost a lot of air
and been uncomfortable, I was quite apprehensive.
Fortunately the Intex #67712 turned out to be great.
It inflated and deflated easily and fairly quickly.
It did not lose air during the night. In all I slept on
it about a week.
We were able to fold it and put it back in it's bag.
I would recommend putting some sort of pad over it when sleeping.
I did sleep directly on it and I found the ridged surface to be
a touch annoying. However it did not trigger any back problems.
I did however sleep well.
When deflating, the air that comes out smells quite strongly
of rubber/plastic. Fortunately I don't have allergies to that.
One night my father slept on it. He said it work well except
that it was hard for him to get out of because (as expected)
it changes shape when he tried to sit on the edge.
I glad my father now has this bed as it will make visits much easier.
If I ever am face with a temporary bed need again I will certain
order something like this.
- Intex Deluxe Queen Size Air Bed Is Great
     By AZIN64RLK4UQV on 2007-10-27
This bed is everything the ad says. It inflates/deflates in 4 mins. Is comfortable and easy to fold up for storage. A good buy.
- Amazing! Like a real bed!
     By A1O4YUXZA3E1AK on 2008-04-08
This air mattress is incredible. We bought it because our other air mattress was useless- we could never make it through the night without winding up sleeping directly on the hard floor; pretty typical of air mattresses. This is totally different. It's firm, comfortable, inflates and deflates fast with the built-in pump and it stays inflated all night! Best of all, if you need to adjust the firmness at any point you can add more air/let some out right from the bed! It's an incredible deal, well worth the money and I highly recommend this product.
- Does Not Hold Air!!!
     By A3I85HF0A2IL3W on 2006-09-12
This bed is very comfortable but it is half its height in the AM. I literally roll out of bed in the morning. Not meant for everyday use!
- High rise Air Bed
     By A1L80IA7X8GGHS on 2007-01-11
I read others review prior to buying and was concern with the air leaking out rather quickly. I however, needed this product because of company for the Holiday. According to my guests (nephew & wife). The bed was very comfortable, they sleept well, however on the 3rd night they had to add some air. I think this product is ok for what it is intended to do, use when one has overnight guests. It was not intended to be a replacement bed.
- not so durable
     By A33XSUS0MWMN3S on 2007-05-13
After certain period (two months) of use, a tiny hole appeared from nowhere, i was able to fix it with the repair kit but am worried other punctures may pop up. Other than that, it's a comfortable bed.
