• Major Disappointment

  I originally bought this for my son as a birthday present, but decided to give it to him today as a reward for being good during a long day of shopping. I am vey glad I didn't save it for his birthday. First and foremost, Lightning McQueen doesn't come with this playset! You have to have a spare Lightning on hand for your child to be able to play. I'm not sure how Mattel thought they were getting away with selling a playset touted as "Lightning McQueen's action-packed home on wheels," without actually including a car for a child to play with.
  Secondly, the "amenities" are seriously lacking. The "7 play features" are simply levers that move in different directions.
  That said, Mack himself is well-done and is a nice size for little hands. It's not a huge toy, which doesn't make it a burden to store.
  I, however, would not buy this toy again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

  This a great addition to the Cars theme. My 2 1/2 yr old has most of the cars, and this was a great add on. Its cute that it has so many different things for McQueen to do inside his trailer.
  My only complaint is that its not made from the best plastic. Its a lil flimsy and feels kinda cheap. Luckily its hasn't broken yet, except for a small piece that popped back on. I guess I was expecting more since all the cars are made from metal. Even "Mack" is made from the same plastic.
  Overall its still great for lil fingers and their imagination.

  My 3 yr. old son absolutely loves this truck. He plays with it daily. There are lots small parts so if you have a "mouther" be careful.

  I got this truck for my two year old and he loves it. I was just surprised by how small it was. Our neighbor has the exact same truck with the exact same features but a much larger model. I didn't pay attention to the size dimensions because it looked exactely alike. My bad! I thought I was geting a deal at $20, but now I know the $40 truck is much bigger.

  My 3-year old took this to show'n'tell at his school and was pretty-much mobbed by the other kids. He played with it for 3 hours straight the day that he got it; there's so many cool things inside. Refrigerator, TV/video console, tire-changing, car-wash, and on and on and on. The 2 downsides to this are 1) the pieces inside are very flimsy and come off very easily. They're easily put back together, but also easily lost! 2) it's really hard to open/close. My son had a couple of nasty pinches while learning how to close.
  Having said that, I would not let it deter you from buying this toy. We're getting one for 2 of my son's friends this christmas, that's how much we love it in our house!.
  
  
• Hours of fun

  My two year old loves everything about Cars, and Mack is by far the greatest addition to his collection. He got it about 2 months ago, and he still plays with it for hours every day (which says a lot since he has tons of toys). We just gave one to his friend for his 4th birthday, and the friend just told us that it's his favorite toy, as well.
  
  The inside of the cab is designed as Lightning's apartment, complete with lots of little tiny parts that are loosely attached (his toothbrush, hose for his water bottle, etc). This is not a toy for "very active" children who are in a destruction phase or for those with babies nearby because the little pieces do pop off and could become choking hazards. Our pieces have easily popped back on, though.

  I bought this truck for my son's 4th birthday. He really enjoys it. It's very cute inside with a car wash, T.V.,video game, fridge and more. The only bad things are- its a little hard to open and it doesnt come with the race car.All in all its a really cute toy.
  
  
• Cars Mack Truck

  My three year old loves this truck. It is pretty durable but the little parts do pull off and can get lost or swallowed. Overall, this is a pretty fun toy.

  i purchased this for my 3 year old son he absolutely loves it and will play with is for atleast and hour at a time. it does not come with a car and i did not know that if you plan on purchasing this make sure you have atleast matchbox cars or something. it is not the best quality but i would recomend it because it is a lot of fun for kids to play with

  We are pretty big fans of the Cars movie. We have all of their little metal die cast cars. I thought we would add this to the collection. My kids got it for Christmas and it was broke within 5 minutes of opening it. The plastic is really cheap. the toy is not well made at all. I was really disappointed since all the die cast cars have been well made. This toy was a piece of junk. It went in the trash the first day.
  
  
• Fun toy for my son; not very durable for mom

  We bought this toy for my son this past Christmas. He was thrilled and started playing with it immediately! I noticed that the sides of the truck were very flimsy, but didn't think anything of it until I tried to close it up and "lock" it. That's when the plastic "lock" broke. I was going to take it back for an exchange, but after looking at the way the plastic is made, I realized that others would probably break as well. My son still thinks it's a fun toy, but I am very disappointed that it is not constructed well. My son cannot close it and carry it around as the "lock" does not work and the sides of the truck will not stay closed.
  
  
• An excellent toy

  My son and his three friends each have Mac and play with it each day. They range from 3-4 years old and spend hours a day playing with the truck and other cars. Ours did not come with McQueen, so I recommend buying McQueen as well so that he may ride in the trailer. One caveat was that for the first few days, Mac was difficult to open. I had to sand the tabs down on the inside so that my 3 year old could play with it on his own...

  My son is 3 (almost 4) and he really loves playing with this mac playset. Some of the parts come off but are easily put back on. My son actually likes it because he gets to "fix" it. I would recommend this especially if they liek the Cars Movie.

• Great Playset

  My 4 & 1/2 yr. old son loves the "Cars" movie & has alot of the die-cast vehicles, so the Mack Truck playset was a great addittion. The details inside Mack the Truck are really cool. It's well made and put together nicely. You don't have to put anything together yourself, just pull it out of the box.

  I have a 2 [...] and they both LOVE this toy! Both are huge fans of the movie CARS and love that they get to play with Mack. There are a few pieces of the car wash inside that if the child isn't careful can come off. Not that big of a deal, a little super glue and it's good as new! I may actually get another one so they'll quit fighting over this one!

  Both my sons, 4 1/2 and 2 love this toy. After having it awhile it still holds their interest. The only complaint I have is that the interior of the truck is pretty fragile. The mirror has broken off countless times, as has part of the carwash (which was eventually lost). That hasn't impeded play any, but is the reason I didn't score it higher.
  
  
• Mack Truck playset

  This toy externally looks like the Mack from the Cars movie. I was a little disappointed that the trailer was all plastic. It was a little difficult for me to open the trailer, but my granddaughter (age 5) didn't have as much problem as I did. The grandchildren rarely open the trailer to play with the attachments inside, rather opting to put extra cars inside.

  I have a lot of the other cars toys, and we love them. However this truck I was a little disappointed with. It's smaller then expected and not as well built as the other cars toys. The truck bed sticks all the time and my 3 year old gets frustrated when he can't open the truck. Once opened he does play with it from time to time. I guess it was my high expectations of this toy that made me rate it at only a 3.

  I bought this as a gift for my friends four year old. I have been told he plays with it for hours at a time. He hates to put it down and sleeps with it at night.

  We got this for my son's 4th birthday. He loves playig with it. The car wash inside is cool. It's very durable. He has stepped on it several times and it has not broken. It's a great addition to the "Lighting McQueen" collection he has going.

  My son is two and a half. He LOVES Disney's "Cars". This Mack Truck play set was rather inexpensive and one of the "extra" Christmas gifts I bought on a whim.
  
  Once my son opened it, he lost all interest in other gifts, opened or still-wrapped.
  
  You will need to purchase the characters/car figures in addition to this product. Fortunately, we already had those on hand. My son loves opening and closing the back of the truck and putting Lightning McQueen in the back.

  I bought this for my son last year when he turned 2years old and he loved it. There are parts that are flimsy, but that has not ruined the overall enjoyment that my son gets from playing with this playset. Unfortunately, we lost his toy when I brought it out with us. But I ordered another one for him and one for his friend, too! This is an imaginative toy for kids to explore.

  Bought this for my three year old son for Christmas. He loves Cars and I thought this would be perfect. I was right. He really enjoys playing with it and he and grandpa played with it for quite some time. He particularly likes the car wash. As others have noted, it's a bit flimsy in some areas. And make sure you buy cars to go along with it. Especially Lightning! That was my son's first question after we opened it Christmas morning, Where's Lightning? Luckily Lightning was in the next box.
  
  
• It's like Optimus Prime but in "Cars" Format

  The rear trailer is just like Optimus Prime. Works well. Gave it to a 3 year old and he loves cars and doesn't have "mack the truck". He opened it up and played it. One huge thing he said was "Where's lightning mcqueen?" Luckily the kid already had a small version of it, but this toy does NOT include it . If you're going to give this to a kid, be sure to buy a small lightning mcqueen as well!
  
  
• Stick to the age group on this toy

  I got this toy from Amazon for my B/G twins because they love the movie Cars. My kids are 35 months and that's younger then the age requirment on the toy. But it's to easy to break. My daughter pulled off one of the foam car wash rollers and was chewing on it. The door on back comes off easly all the time but it can be fixed.

  My 5 year old LOVES this playset. I love it because it's small and self-contained and therefore easy to take along. This was one of the best gifts, in my opinion, that he received this year, and probably the least expensive.
  
  
• Fun to look at but falls to pieces when you play with it!

  My son (2 and 1/2 years old) got this as a gift and was super excited to play with it. It looks great but the truck has a lot of little pieces that pop off and and can be reattached if they are not lost. The truck is REALLY hard to open and all the pieces have to be tucked in the right way to close. I find it hard myself to open. It is poorly designed. My son would have enjoyed a much simpler version of this truck. Perhaps an older child would find this toy less frustrating. I also wish they made it more durable like the cars.
