Transformers Movie Deluxe Barricadex$27.69
    (22 reviews)
Best Price: $27.69
Transformers Movie Deluxe Barricade features spring-loaded punch-attack action and a deception frenzy figure that ejects from its chest in robot mode. This is one awesome figure for your collection. The greatest thrill in his life knows people trust him because of the human decorations on his door panels. The look of betrayal they get when they realize what theyre dealing with is as sweet as candy. The only thing he likes better is chasing down auto bots and breaking them into pieces with his powerful arms and crushing, hydraulic hands.

A 6 1/2 year old's review By AFEZLBZEYCHSS on 2007-08-13
I like Barricade pretty much. When I first got it, I tried to transform it, and when I transformed it back to robot mode, there was a thing sticking out, which was a spring loaded punch attack. I thought both arms did this, but then I realized from the instructions that only one arm did this, and that was left arm. It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be.
Also, the back legs never connect to arms-it is so extremely hard to transform it. I can do it sometimes, but sometimes I have to give it to my mom so she can finish it.
The little guy that comes inside Barricade is named Frenzy. He turns into part of Barricade in vehicle mode. Frenzy is a little bit cool.
I think Barricade is not as good as movie deluxe Jazz. I would say that Barricade and Brawl are about the same goodness, but Jazz transforms better. The other transformers can roll on wood, but the wheels on Barricade do not work well on wood and can only roll on soft things like carpet.
One last thing--why does this transformer not come with a sword or a gun?
Overall, I like Barricade pretty much. You could buy this one, but it's only pretty good, not the best.
The movie line is awesome By A2KVNQS2B6DUCJ on 2007-05-24
As soon as I saw the movie figures available on Amazon I just had to buy this figure. Barricade looked like the most interesting toy and the most ruthless character from what you see in the trailers. The detail on this figure is amazing. Everythings there right down to the "To punish and enslave..." Transforms from car to robot very smoothly. I had a little trouble getting it back to car mode the first time and the door windows felt a little flimsy, but just be careful when transforming back into alt mode and you should be fine. Excellent posability, balances very well. I don't care for the spring loaded arm punch thing, but I don't care for any spring loaded features on toys.
I'm ready to start buying the rest of this collection as I'm very very impressed with this figure. All in all this is an amazing Transformer for just $10.
Terrible toy By A8UDVYJGYSZ6Y on 2007-10-11
This is the absolute worst toy! It is very small and extremely difficult to transform. It is cheaply made and the plastic pieces are constantly breaking off of it and getting lost. This makes my six-year-old very frustrated.
I definitely would NOT recommend this to anyone!
I gots High hopes By A2ILE0MDYE9N8S on 2007-07-21
This figure had such high hopes. It was so likely to be great.
It had all teh potential...but...It's just not that great.
I spend twice the amount of time on transforming this guy as opposed to any of my other guys. The robot form kinda sucks. the torso doesn't lock, the head doesn't lock. The "frenzy" figure is not only cheaply made, it bends easily, even trying to put it back in the grill. the spring loaded punch thing, it's just bad. the mechinsm is inconsistant, all in all i was disapointed with teh robot form.
Now, the Vehicle mode is fantastic. The detail on it was stunning.
Again, I don't recomend this for kids, This one is a bit too complicated for the little ones, and again it feels cheaply made.
The arms break off easy.
Maybe wave 2 will have a beter editon of barricade, but i doubt it.
Slick Transformer By AZYL17LHAGLO8 on 2007-07-02
Barricade, a Police Car Saleen Mustang- that is in and of itself pure bada$$. For him to be a police car rules, being a mustang is sic, and to have it be a Saleen is just ridiculous. Slap on the ironic phrase "to punish and enslave ..." and a decepticon logo and you are accidentally trusting a police officer that is not just doing the opposite of what you would expect, but doing it in a very sadistic way. There is a reason they call them "Decepticons" and Barricade is all about it. AND this thing turns into a robot? My mind is now warped. Too much good stuff. A single car/character/toy should not represent so many cool things at once.
Then when you watch the movie, you'll see this character's brutally fierce disposition and his insurmountable desire to rip through anything that gets in the way of his goals, making this a must own toy. I hope they make this toy in a masterpiece or alternator version because I would pay whatever they charge for it.
Barricade is the definition of why Transformers are one of the most amazing fantasy realms ever dreamed of. The ideas and the execution of characters, deceit, destruction, honor and justice is just incredible. Long live Cybertron!

This is, without a doubt, the worst Transformers toy I have ever owned. I've never been more frustrated with a transformation in my life. Now, don't get me wrong. I've been a TF fan since Gen 1 and I've owned many TF toys and this is by far the worst. The entire movie line itself is very flimsy to me. I own Optimus Prime, Barricade, and Bumblebee from the movie line and can't say I'm impressed. I am a huge transformers fan and now with the new movie (which I loved) I can enjoy them with my son. Unfortunately that is not the case, as these are not the toys you remember from the past. These toys (with the exception of Prime) fall apart when you try to transform them. Arms and legs fall off merely by following the directions provided. That is really sad that you can't even perform a transformation on a toy that's called a TRANSFORMER without it falling apart in your hands no matter how lightly you try to perform the action. But I digress. Getting back to Barricade, his tranformation is extremely frustrating. There are to many small parts that have to align in a very precise manner for it to work. This is almost impossible as lining up one piece usually means that another pops out. Repeat ad nauseum and you'll realize that this "Transformer" and I use the term lightly, is junk. Like I said I own Bumblebee and Prime from the movie line as well and don't have any problems with them. But Barricade, was given a poor treatment and has absolutely no fun value as you can't even transform him without getting frustrated and walking away. I gave my son some of my Gen 1 toys to play with. At least he can transform them easily without breaking them and he doesn't come to me asking why his toy won't work. I gave the toy an over all rating of 2 stars, because, while in car form, Barricade is pretty cool looking, and his robot form is pretty menacing. It's just getting to and from those to points, that the toy turns to junk.
- All I Can Say Is...
     By A1HBNYFYRV0I18 on 2007-07-15
Damn....... this toy frikken rocks! Posable, playable, AND its a Saleen Mustang. Could it get any better? I frikken doubt it.
Barricade is the first actual Transformer you see in the movie. I dont count Frenzy, as he's more like a mini-con (Mini-Converter for the unknowing). First thing you notice about Barricade is his look. Police Car. Insta-sale by itself, in my opinion, because the police are some of the coolest people you know of. ALso historicaly, police toys are big sellers. Who hasn't had a pair of "Real Handcuffs" in their childhood and cuffed their younger sibbling? Unless of course you were the one being cuffed by your older bro.
Aside from being a police car, and a MUSTANG besides, the toy transforms better than alot of similar toys I've had. Smoothe joints, great articulation, and it looks damn good too when it's done. The arm sockets are ball and socket, so if it gets popped out you're not running back to the store for a replacement; just pop it back in and hand it back to your kid good as new. Saves on crying.
Two things I dont like, and this is strictly me with a few exceptions.
1. Frenzy is the grill of the car, and it doesn't look right when he's no in there. Ergo, it's difficult (again, for me) to enjoy the toy with the mini toy out. also, he's out of scale with Barricade. My kid noticed it right away. My explanation: It's pretend.
2. The spring loaded arm. Kinda on the weak side, as far as functionality goes. I guess they had to put spring loaded something on him.
All in all, it's an excellent toy. First one I've picked up and, aside from brawl, the only one I want. if they make a Barricade in Ultimate Bumblebee size (It's on Amazon, look it up!) I'm deffinetly getting it. Partly for my kid but mainly for me.:-P
- Transformed for the very first time.

You really have to do your homework when shopping for these bots.
I never in my childhood was graced with a Transformer. I never caught the cartoon, I was strictly a Ninja Turtle fan.
Which now that I've done my research I missed out on some clever toys!
I can't seem to get the movie out of my head, and with the concept being based on the action figures there in lies the strict merchandise.
So my curiosity finally brought me to my knees and I purchased the Barricade character.
Most importantly reader it is important to note on the classification and price levels of the robots is somewhat confusing to a first timer.
I am truly surprised at Amazon's prices actually being jacked up compared to the Toys R Us I made my purchase at.
I checked the main Transformers movie toy site and compared to Amazon's prices, and wow.
To fill you in, this toy should be listed at $9.99, as all others in the 'Movie Deluxe' line.
The 'Movie Voyager' line should be going for $19.99, and the 'Movie Leaders' at $39.99!
I am unsure if I am going to be a collector of this line, but I certainly will be paying the low list prices at the stores, instead of my usual routine here. Amazon wake up! Don't let me down.
- WOW what a great tf figure

- cool but not durable
     By A2S87QS4CAPZKY on 2007-08-09
I was really excited when I got this new transformer toy.But like all transformers but in a different way there is more than meets the eye. This transformer looks very cool but it is very hard to transform. The instructions unlike the older ones has only pictures to help you transform it and that does not help at all. The spring loaded punch is very anoying.Every time I touched it went off. It is hard to make it go back into place. You have to get its legs exactly in the right position to transform to a car.It was so hard to transform back to a car that once I got back to a car I kept it that way and did not transform it again.
- a VERY fun transformer toy
     By on 2007-06-11
This is guy is cool!I love transforming him. At first I just couldn't transform him in to his car! But then I figured it out.I think his police car mode is realy cool it dosen't look like it can transform in to a super cool robot! Both modes are awesome! So if you love transformers you have to have barricade!!!
- Reliving my childhood through my son
     By AANUMS9H6P2MU on 2007-07-05
Compared to the transformers of the 80's, Barricade is a just incredible. Then again so are most of the Alternator and Movie line toys. Incredible detail and articulation. Great job Hasbro! My son and I are loving these!
- Barricade
     By A1ZINL8Z2DINWU on 2007-08-14
When I saw the 'punish and enslave' I just had to have this decepticon. Most of these toys are not going to be good for a young child unless you have a lot of time to deal with the 'transform it for me' requests.
Over'all brings back my childhood
- Once you figure it out
     By A469TQDI1DF5S on 2007-10-26
A lot of people have bad mouthed Barricade due to his difficult transformation and realtivley loose parts. However there is a trick to the transformation that once you have it down Barricade is actually one of the easiest to transform of the movie line. His waist is what I would call double or even triple jointed and when putting him back into his vehical mode it folds up around his head. Before I had this down I kinda just left him hafl tranformed and said it was "Barricade after he was in a wreck". Anyway that's really all there is to it. Figure out the trick in his waist and the transformation is a sinch.

It is a durable toy that he will enjoy for many years to come. Transformers Movie Deluxe Barricade
- Awesome
     By A2Z3R01HS32B1J on 2007-08-15
I got this a while back when the movie was first in theaters.
Its very fun, and detailed, one part on it wasn't painted when I got it, and that was irritating..
It's very durable, the only problem is it's limbs will pop off sometimes while transforming it, they can be put back on though.
- that is a good toy!
     By on 2007-11-04
I like this one. It is the best one I ever have!
The only problem is when I transform back to
vehicle mode. I got problem putting two tabs
into a long slot. Another problem is very hard
to let him stand in robot mode.
- I grew up with Transformers
     By AG5Q0BSUVB90J on 2007-12-15
I grew up with the original Transformers back in the 80's. I had fond moments of playing/transforming them with my friends. Every kid had one. I miss those days. luckily enough Hasbro has come out with this new gen. Along with an awesome movie. It doesn't matter what a parent thinks of a toy. It's growing up with the idea of these possibilities. It matters to the child. These are the moments he/she will remember for the rest of their life. Trust me.
- Barricade Decepticon
     By A187JR4EN67J0C on 2008-01-10
This is yet another awesome Transformer. Great looking and it's like it came straight out of the movie. The only thing I have against it is that it is a pretty flimsy toy, however the foot that popped of popped right back on. Do not by it if you have a child that is under 8. Most of the Transformers only an adult will be able to transform.
- What a cool BAD BOY Transformer!
     By A30S8XJ3UXK4QQ on 2008-02-10
The transformer movie, being much better than I expected, caught my son's interest and it has been 24/7 Transformers! Barricade was hard to find so I decided to look on Amazon. It was pricier than the other Transformers at Target etc, for the same size, but no one else had Barricade. The detail is great. I personally love the inscription on the side of the vehicle: "to imprison and enslave" right off the movie vehicle! Wish they made a large size Barricade!
