• Webkinz customer service is terrible. Shame on you, Webkinz!

  If you just want an expensive, cute little stuffed animal, by all means buy away. If you are looking for a nice place on the web for your kids to play, consider that your kids may walk away very frustrated.
  
  There is no way to contact Webkinz (that I can find) for the following issues:
  
  1) Your child can use up a half hour of their alloted computer time just trying to log on to Webkinz.
  
  2) There are many error massages. Most do not make sense. Webkinz technical support offers no support. It basically just blames any problem you are having on your ISP or that your Flash Player is not working (even though it worked yesterday and it will work again tomorrow).
  
  3) It sometimes logs your child out right in the middle of a game.
  
  My children have simply stopped bothering with Webkinz and have lost interest in their stuffed Webkinz toys.
  
  

• Way too expensive! Don't buy from Amazon!

  Here's a hint when buying Webkinz: Unless it is retired (Cheeky dog and cat, Unicorn, Gray and White cat) or Seasonal (Love Puppy and Sherbet Bunny), then don't spend over $15. Look on the web and you'll see the Dalmatian for sale for over $50. I waited and got it for the usual $13.50 at my local Hallmark! I advise you to spend your money when it comes out. (I do have the Dalmatian, for all who truly care)
  
  

• Hard to Find, but worth it!

  The Labrador Retriever is one of the rarest Webkinz around. (except for Cheeky Dog, Cheeky Cat, Love Puppy, and Sherbet Bunny) Everyone on Webkinz World is itching to get their hands on one. (even me) Although I don't quite have it or the Dalmatain, I have $25 stored for whenever they come out at my local store where Webkinz are sold.

  For those who may not know, Webkinz are stuffed animals that come with a virtual counterpart that you can tend to online. The Webkinz world also includes games and other activities that will keep children busy for hours. There is also virtual money kids can use to buy pet food and other supplies. The site is also appealing since it is not related to a particular TV network. It also does not bombard children with promotions for DVDs, other shows, or products.
  
  It goes without saying that if you have convictions against excessive screen time, this probably isn't the stuffed animal for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a fun activity your children can do independently, this is a lot of fun. (parents might even enjoy it too)
  
  
  
  
  
  

• Another cute addition to the Webkin's family

  As with all Webkinz, the enjoyment a child has with a stuffed animal is multiplied with the addition of the Webkinz website. With this website, the child can interact with their stuffed animal by taking care of it. There are also educational and fun games that can be played to get "money" for their own little Webkinz world.
  
  The Black Lab is a great addition to the Webkinz family. It is decently sized and its fur is very soft and "silky". I thought the leathery nose was very clever. The Black Lab is worth the money not just because it is a nicely made stuffed animal, but because it has that added fun factor of the Webkinz world.

  I bought this Black Lab for my five year old grandaughter. She has a real black lab and the plush gives her one to travel with. The plush is very soft and well made. It is literally like having two toys in one since it is a Webkinz and comes with the "secret" code to use on the Webkinz website. She has hours of age appropriate virtual play with her puppy on the website, is developing and reinforcing cognitive skills and has a buddy to carry around with.

  I didn't even know anything about this toy (I am stationed overseas) but I ordered it online for my god-daughter's birthday because it was a best-seller on Amazon. She typically gets dozens of presents, and I later learned that this one is her favorite!

  This was bought as a B-Day present. All of the kids loved it- its little "leather" nose & big brown eyes made every single one of those kids go home and ask their parents to buy one for them!

  It's a cute toy with a huge bonus, your kid can stare for hours online playing with their pet and various games on the webkinz site. The site has never had an issue or gone down in the 2 weeks we have owned this product, and the toy itself seem durable and nicely made. We were very happy to get this quickly and my kid is excited to have it.

  I recently purchased a Webkinz Black Lab for my 9yr old daughter and she loves it. Each Webkinz comes with a code to enter on the Webkinz website. The code allows the child to care for his/her animal in many ways. They play fun games to earn money and then they get to shop for clothes, TV's, different room designs and food, etc. for their pet. My daughter goes on each day to feed and care for her dog. It is a great, secure, site with lots to do for kids!

  Any of the webkinz are great fun, the kids can hardly wait to get their tag off the webkinz and enter it online to have fun with their new pet. Nice interactive pet and hours of fun for the under 12 set.

  I bought this product for my 5 year old boy's birthday. We have a real pet black lab, and this was a perfect gift for him. The Webkinz world online is really entertaining and my son enjoys playing the games and earning his cash to buy things. He loves to take care of his puppy by taking him to the vet, giving him baths, and cooking for him. There is so much to do on this site I don't think he will ever get bored with it. My review is based on having this product for only a few weeks, but I see many months if not years of enjoyment with this toy.
  
  Just a couple of notes -- I had never seen this product in the stores so didnt know what size to expect and didnt pay attention to dimensions when ordering. It was a little smaller than I'd hoped, but still a good size for children, and still completely happy with it. Also, the code you input on the Webkinz site gives you 1 year complimentary access. Having not read the information completely, I expect there is a fee beyond that. Just thought that was worth mentioning.
  
  Another testimonal for this great product is the fact that my 8 and 10 year olds, who thought they were too big for this toy, are now begging for their own Webkinz.

  I gave this as a gift to my 8 year old sister, she loves it. The stuffed animal tends to fall apart quickly, but the toy is more about the online games that they can play with their friends.

  I ordered four webkinz online and two of them had wrong codes and could not be registered online at the website. That is the whole point of the toy. I will never order these online again and would warn people that you never know what you'll get. It was a total letdown.

  My grandson is 5 and he and i loved playing with our black lab. He is learning so much about the computer and numbers. His eye and hand coordination is really improving too! He is also learning about money by earning webdollars. We love all the webkinz.

  Both my children have been well entertained with Webkinz this summer. The black lab was a must have for my son and when all Webkinz were scarce at our local retailers, buying one online for about $15 including shipping seemed a good buy. We're a little disappointed that his is light on the stuffing however it's still a cuddly, soft stuffed toy.

  Webkinz are so much fun.I even enjoy going on line at the webkinz site.My six year old and I have a blast and my 2 year old laghs at the silly things you can do.Really a lot of fun.Black lab is also cute and cuddly.The only dilema was to come up with a user code and password.It seeems everything was taken!

  This product is easy to buy and makes the perfect toy for any child! It's access to the internet is simple whether you're at the library or at home. Is well for kids of all shapes and sizes along with ages! In the stores, it's a little hectic since the Hallmark that I go to has them behind the counter, and doesn't have a wide variety. I've heard that Webkinz sell fast. Very durable toy. Most of the games on the site are educational, some include hitting little 'Zingoz' with a bat. At Quizzy's the child answers questions based on their age group, which is a positive thing about the site! Overall, it's a well-built product, I just wish that the site had better learning experiences!

  We have this little guy and even though the dog itself is really cute the online version of him is a little difficult to see. He's so black that his eyes, nose and mouth blend into one. But he's cute nonetheless.
