  I must say that I could not believe all the 5 star ratings till I got my own Plantronics 510. This simply must be the best on the market and here are my reasons as compared to the Motorola HS820 and the New Jawbone 2:
  
  1. Quality: The sound is exceptionally crisp and clear. My best critic is my wife so I used her as my final deal breaker decision maker. I called her and she could not believe the clarity. She said it was clearer than the Motorola phone or the other headsets (more on that).
  
  2. Sound cancellation: I tested this set outside, in a quiet space and in a room with the television on a high volume. The sound cancellation is simply one of the best. When the tv volume was at its highest (really loud) and standing 2 feet away it was coming across as a background sound and was more than acceptable.
  
  3. Distance: I placed the phone in the center of my 1st. floor house and walked around testing the reception from a distance. It was clear from over 30 feet away and through walls. I knew when I needed to get back into range when it had a bit of static.
  
  4. Comfort: I can wear this unit ALL day with no discomfort. It is lighter than it looks and the foam earpieces fit well and are soft.
  
  5. Durability: This unit can withstand my dropping it and simply putting it in my pocket. Nothing dainty here.
  
  6. Price: Jawbone 2: $135; Plantronics 510: $45.99 with free shipping. And it arrived in 3 days!!!
  
  7. Technology: Tested and true.
  
  Regrets: That I could not give it 10 stars!
  
  This unit is a keeper and well worth the price.

• Great Headset

  I have had the Plantronics 510 for about a year and it has performed perfectly. It is very comfortable. I leave it in my ear while driving and working in the garage. It is very stable. Sound quality is excellent. If I were to lose this one, I would buy another without hesitation.
  
  The only negative is that you don't know how much battery life you have left. The device will give you an audio intermitant beep and a flashing red indicator light when the battery needs recharging. This works fine, but I would rather have an indicator that I can view at any time verses waiting for the device to tell me when it is low. Not sure anyone offers that.
  
  

• Wonderful Headset - A Real Work Horse

  The Plantronics Voyager 510 has been an absolute work horse for me for the past nearly 2 years. When I say workhorse I mean it. I put over 5 hours of talk time on this device 5 days a week for well over a year. I used it in a weekly 4 hour commute, during the day in the office, at night to talk to my family from the hotel and a number of other usages. I know this device and using it is as familiar as turning on my blinker in the car.
  
  The Good:
  1. Great noise filtering. The microphone does a great job of filtering out ambient noise including wind.
  2. The battery is excellent and lasts for days on standby and for at least 6 hours talking.
  3. Multipoint Technology. This technology rocks. I have both my work (Blackberry) and personal cell phone synched with this device at the same time and can call or answer either without pairing hassles.
  4. Pairs with a device that it has been setup with by simply pressing the primary button.
  5. Volume buttons on earpiece.
  6. Comes with multiple earpieces for comfort.
  7. Stable in the ear. It doesn't feel as if it will fall out.
  8. Durable. I used this hard for a few years and it has only now started to fall apart. Still works though.
  9. Shares common power supply with many other Plantronics devices for ease of power sharing.
  10. Larger then competitors but very light.
  
  The Not so Good:
  1. It is bigger then most other devices.
  2. The earpieces are prone to fall out and don't stay secured after about 6 months.
  
  As you can see I really don't have much bad to say about this device. I am only now replacing it after 2 years of use and that is because the earpiece fell out and I can't find the pack that came with it. It still works! I replaced this unit with the Plantronics Discovery 925 and I might like that even better. For the money though you cannot beat the Voyager 510 in my opinion. 5 stars!

  I ordered the headset for my motorola mobile and it works exceptionally well. The voice is very clear and volume is great and people didn't realise i was using the headset because it was so clear..... it fits just right on the ear. The supplier (SF Planet) sent the item on the day of order and for that I give them a 5+...... Good Price for great performance.
  
  
• Great bluetooth headset

  This headset is far better than any other I have used. The audio is crisp and clear, and I had my wife call me so I could hear the sent audio which is excellent as well. The setup is a snap, really not much more than plug and go.
  The only (minor) negative I can find is that there is some loss in heavy winds, but the product does well in slight breezes.
  All in all, the best product for the price hands down.

  The Plantronic Windsmart Voyager 510 is almost perfect. It beats out any of other Bluetooth products out there. The Windsmart technology is a lifesaver when you are outside. The noise cancellation feature is wonderful no matter where you are. The sound is crystal clear and no one ever has trouble hearing me. It sets up in seconds and it is incredibly easy to switch from my cell phone handset to the Plantronic 510 headset. I didn't find that to be the case with my prior Plantronic Bluetooth products. The earpiece, with the different size earpieces should solve the problem of a good ear fit. It is much more comfortable to wear and not think about than my prior Plantronic products. I can't see where you will be disappointed with this one.

  I ordered this item based on the review of others, and wasnt disappointed. The only thing I could possibly complain bout is the ad said it only came with a usb computer charger, and not an ac. I ordered the ac and didnt need to! It came with no usb charger and an ac so now I have two. Great bluetooth device, nobody knows I am using it (and isnt that the point.) BUY IT!

• Great Pick With Quality Sound

  The reason I rated this Voyager 510 bluetooth headset at 4 star is because I wanted to be some what conservative, but it is has great sound quality. That was the most important feature I was looking for, in addition to a good fit. I had some hard time with getting a comfortable fit sometimes, with some pain inside the ear, but it seems that it is getting better every time. Besides, I try not to put it on, if I don't need it. The on/off button is not easy to use. And, I guess, it is good to read the manual.
  
  There was a trick, anyway: moving the microphone up and down affects the weight on the ear. The higher you lift it up, the lighter it feels. You've got to experiment with it on your own. Nice; it can be use on both ears.
  
  I noticed smaller devices with friends and associates and considered exchanging mine for a smaller device, since it looked a little huge in comparison. But then, I opted to be satisfied with the sound quality I am enjoying, rather than experimenting with other devices that look better but have no assurance of good sound quality. I am glad I kept it.
  
  Over all it is a good, sturdy, device. I would recommend it.

• Great after over 3 years of (ab)use

  This little ugly-ish set is still ruling the market with great sound quality for both its owners and people they talk to. I have owned or tested several supposedly great Bluetooth sets with several different phones and devices including iPhone 3G, Motorola Razr and L6, Blackberry 7100i, two different laptops (Skype) and Playstation 3, and no other headset performed as well as Plantronics Voyager 510.
  
  In parallel with this device I had three different Jabras including BT250, BT500 and JX10 and neither one comes close to the sound quality and wind tolerance of Voyager 510. I also learned of a number of users including my boss who switched from Jawbone 1 AND 2 to this or Discovery 925 set due to fit, comfort and sound issues, so I never even bothered to buy a Jawbone. With Plantronics Voyager 510, people I talk to can't even tell I'm using a Bluetooth headset; not even when I'm driving, which I find amazing. Since it's been over four years in my never ending quest for the perfect Bluetooth headset that I constantly keep researching and reverting to this little "mule", I just have to give it five stars in spite of its mainly cosmetic flaws.
  
  Here's why I got to appreciate this somewhat clumsy set so much:
  
  1. Good output volume and quality. When I'm using Plantronics Voyager 510, people I'm talking to can't tell I'm on a cell phone with a Bluetooth headset - not even when I'm driving (windows closed). The case was the opposite when I was using Jabras, when I used to hear complaints about noise, static and low volume of my voice.
  
  2. Good and controllable earphone volume. It can reasonably well deal with traffic noise when I'm walking outside my downtown Chicago office. I can set the volume really loud, so the only case when I cannot hear my partner is when I'm walking too close to a moving train. My usual volume setting is around 1/3.
  
  3. This set's microphone tolerates wind better than the Jabras mentioned above which used to produce a great deal of wind noise whenever I was encountering a breeze. In addition, if I know I'll be outside in a windy environment I can put the included microphone sponge on.
  
  4. Good battery life. I don't have to charge it often.
  
  5. Although it seems very light and gentle in my hands, it handles everyday folding and switching between my shirt pocket and both my ears very well.
  
  6. No problems with long usage, unlike Jabra BT250, which used to irritate the skin on the back of my ear if I used it too long or too often.
  
  I never heard about Plantronics before buying this headset and I grew to appreciate it a lot more after years of usage. Only recently I discovered that Plantronics has a long history with headsets and that even the Apollo missions used their headsets on the Moon. Makes sense. "One small set for man, one giant leap away from other BT headsets. Houston, we have no problem".

  I read the reviews, noted the comments about the location of power/volume controls, and bought the Voyager 510 anyway. Everyone who criticized the design is correct. However, that flaw is not insurmountable. I've learned how to use the controls and now do not terminate calls accidentally. I like this product very much. It's comfortable to wear, easy to set up, and was an excellent solution to my handsfree needs.

  This will be my second Voyager 510 and it is my second one because the 1st one was so good that i will not use anything else. I've tried 3 different versions of Jabra and they were OK but not as good as Plantronics, not to mention Plantronics is less expensive. So if you are looking to try something new I am sure you will be very pleased with the purchase of this unit. Oh, by the way, this transaction was flawless, too!

  I have used other headsets,both wired and non wired ad this is the best,most comfortable,and easiest to use.I'm a truck driver and am subjected to all sorts of noises and we all need to go hands free and this is the way to go.
