Give your little one an exciting introduction to music with the Little Superstar Sing-Along Stage.

Features include "Instruments" that activate sounds when their buttons are pressed and five fun songs.
An Exciting Experience for Your Little Performer
The Little Superstar Sing-Along Stage features a large picture mirror, framed by exciting blinking lights at the top and an "audience" of smiling, cartoon babies at the bottom. Musical instruments with happy faces sit below: a guitar, a keyboard, a drum, and a trumpet. Each instrument has moving parts that activate sounds. The toy comes with a "magic" microphone, which is really a rattle. Shake it, and the sound of the rattle will activate songs and other fun sounds. The lights blink as the music plays, making a spectacular show for your little one to enjoy.

Sing Songs or "Compose" You Own
The toy includes two modes, which are easily selected by sliding a button at the top of the toy. The "sing-along" mode plays five different fun songs, which are activated by shaking the magic microphone or pressing any of the buttons on the musical instruments. Younger babies will enjoy listening to the music and watching the lights blink. They'll also love hearing you sing along with the songs. (We were happy to find that the toy comes with lyric cards.) As your child gets older, she can learn to sing along with you, too.

Select the "build-a-song" mode for your child to experiment with sounds herself. When she shakes the "magic microphone," a voice singing a "scat" will start. When your child plays with any of the musical instruments, she will hear that instrument play. It will continue to play a "solo" until she presses the buttons on any of the other instruments. Their sounds will then be added to the instrumental piece. For example, press the drum, and a back beat will be added. In all, the toy has three different, jazzy "add-on" instrumental pieces -- even our adult toy testers enjoyed these catchy, authentic-sounding tunes. The toy also says several fun phrases, as well as the sound of cheering and applause, encouraging children to dance or sing along.

Musical Toy Grows with Your Child
While we love all of the musical features of this toy, we especially like that the Sing-Along Stage is designed to grow with your child, which means that your child will get a lot of use out of it while making new discoveries as they get older. The toy stands at the perfect height for six-month-old babies to play with while sitting. They will enjoy looking at themselves in the large picture window, watching the blinking lights, and experimenting with the cause and effect features of the buttons. Our two-year-old toy tester also enjoyed this toy -- she loved dancing and singing along with the songs.

The toy requires just a little bit of adult assembly, which is where we encountered our only problem: the legs need to be screwed on to the toy to allow it to stand, but the holes for the included screws were not sized properly. This made it difficult for us to manually tighten the screws satisfactorily. However, the toy was still able to stand sturdily for safe play

. The Sing-Along Stage requires 3 AA batteries, which are included.

Designed for children ages six months and older, this toy provides several developmental benefits, such as encouraging motor skill development and problem-solving skills, and provides visual and auditory stimulation.

From 6 months of age and up the stage is just the right height to sit and play.

Each mode offers just enough difficulty for your little one to be challenged and have fun at the same time. View larger.
Flashing Lights and Fun Music
The Sing-Along Stage features five fun songs for you and your baby to sing along with. It's easy and fun for your baby to play with: Just shake the "magical" microphone to start the music! While the music plays, your child will delight in the four dancing spotlights, the pop-up audience of friendly smiling fans, and the big picture mirror to watch him or herself groove. Four musical instruments sit along the bottom of the stage: Baby just presses the horn, the xylophone, the drum, or the guitar to hear them play. You and your child will have great fun singing and dancing together with all of the songs!

Different Stages to Grow with Baby
The Sing-Along Stage includes two levels of advancement for babies and toddlers. Each mode offers just enough difficulty for your little one to be challenged and have fun at the same time. For babies from 6 months of age, the stage is just the right height to sit and play. He or she can discover how to shake the microphone to make a song play! Your baby can also learn how to press each musical instrument to hear it play a solo, learning to differentiate between the different sounds. Musical lyrics are provided for you to sing along with the songs, providing quality interactive time with your baby. As your child gets older, he or she can stand, dance, and groove with the magical microphone while the music plays. In this more advanced secondary mode, the toy allows your child to get creative with the music. Start the song by pressing the button. Shake the microphone to add voice. Press each instrument to add their sounds to the song. This toy requires three AA batteries, which are included in the package. Adult assembly is necessary and requires a Phillips screwdriver (not included).

My son is 16 months old and he loves this toy. The songs are upbeat and he loves dancing to them. Many activities to keep your little one entertained. This product can grow with your child. This is a very durable toy.

  • Lots of Fun!

I bought this for my 9 month old and it is a big hit! She discovers new things everyday and will play with it for quite awhile. I think she will even like it better later! I do have one small minor complaint--the mirror scratches VERY, VERY easily--I cleaned with water and paper towel and the paper towel left faint scratches. It doesn't bother her, just me. Overall, I think this is a great toy!

  • Love it

    By A201FMX4SQSJX5 on 2007-11-07
I saw this toy on television and bought it that day for my 12 month old. As soon as I got it home and set up, not only my one year old, but also my 3 year old began to play with it. They love it! Through pressing different buttons, my little one has learned more about cause and effect, and which button makes which sound. My oldest is learning to share more, and to help his brother when he can't figure something out. They pass the microphone between them, and dance and laugh for at least half and hour at a time. The only problem I had was setting it up. The screws would not fit into the hind legs, so it is missing 2 of the 4 it requires. Other than that, I cannot recommend this toy enough!

  • Musical Fun!

I bought this for my 6 month old daughter, who is now almost 9 months. She loved it immediately, and still plays with it for long periods of time. The buttons are easy to bang and push, and the mirror is a big hit. The songs are cute and I don't find them annoying.

  • Glorified Mirror

    By A29Z359C0UM3PG on 2008-01-01
I got this for my six month old daughter because it looked like the perfect height for a sitting baby, and my daughter, like most babies, loves to look in the mirror. I should have read a better description of the product before ordering.

Below the mirror there is a panel of instrument-shaped buttons to press. I wrongly assumed that the panel has several activities, or at least that each button would cause a different effect when pressed. Turns out that regardless of which button the baby presses, the next song or sound plays. Except for two little pop up babies,it has no interesting activities to keep baby occupied.

My daughters face lights up when I sit her in front of this toy, but within a few minutes, she's tired of it. Besides for the toy being boring, the brightly flashing lights and obnoxious music are annoying (even for babies I think!). Come on Fisher Price, it's the 21st century. There are great kids songs out there. The least they could have done is added a few more songs, so they don't repeat as often.

This toy is the perfect height for a sitting baby, and there aren't too many of those. It's a pity Fisher Price didn't put more thought into the design. I don't expect too much from a toy. If it keeps my daughter entertained for 15 minutes I consider it a success. Unfortunately this toy failed.

  • This is not a $50- toy
    By A1EEU4LS61USRA on 2007-09-28
This toy is cute but it is basically a glorified mirror with a few lights and buttons that play music. That is all.
Now, my nine month old gives it a few courtesy laughs but then she just wants to use it as an item to cruise from, however, the rear legs do not stay on (even though I have applied them correctly) and this poses a great problem for which I will call FP.
If you want a great toy, invest in an exersaucerEvenFlo SmartSteps Exersaucer Entertainer! I firmly believe that this toy assisted in the muscle development which allowed each of my children to walk independantly by 10 months of age.

  • great toy for toddlers
    By A2HMS6X3YA7ZKL on 2007-11-16
My son got this for his 1 year old birthday and loved it. He especially likes to shake the microphone and bang on the keys on the front. This is very durable as he is rough with it and it still works perfect after 3 weeks. I also like that he can stand up holding onto it and the legs totally hold him. It has not tipped once!

  • Hours of fun
    By A6POYW0X71DM0 on 2007-10-27
I bought this for my son who turned 1 for his birthday. He was clapping his hands and babbling in minutes after i set this up. My daughter who just turned 2 trys to sing into the microphone. It isn't very loud and it keeps them both entertained for awhile. It is easy to assemble also. I love this toy, great pick.

  • Just an okay toy
    By A2VG6WS9DKILJR on 2007-10-31
This toy is great but my 11 month old doesn't enjoy playing with it too much. He'll play with it for a minute or so and then want to move onto something else. I think he would have enjoyed it better when he was younger. I wish I would have purchased it when he was around 6 months rather than 10 months. But it is a cute toy.

  • Cute toy
    By A3NB1LLPKITPOM on 2007-11-05
My daughter is 7 months old and I think she enjoys the "microphone" with this toy more than the toy itself. She does like the lights and music but it doesn't entertain her for long right now. I am hoping as she gets a bit older, she will take more interest in this item considering its price. I might recommend this item for a child that is about 9 months old or older. My nieces that are 2 and 4 seem to like it too.

  • LOVE THIS TOY!!! SERIOUSLY!
    By A3HUMJ6ADHYX14 on 2007-12-01
My 6 month old baby absolutely loves this toy. He will sit and laugh at himself in the mirror for at least 25 minutes! Get this for your baby. It will help them sit independently.

  • Amazing toy
    By A2PJ16TIXRWDA7 on 2007-10-27
This toy is worth all the money. Some people might think this is just a glorified mirror. Well that is true, but some how my one year old daughter really enjoys playing with it. She can sit infront of the toy for more than half an hour and enjoy the different music. I'm sure she'll sing and dance along as she grows up.

  • My baby loves it!
    By AIS8D2EFSFBC on 2007-11-18
My baby is almost 8 months old, and he absolutely loves this toy. At first, he wasn't so much into it but as he got older (I got this toy when he was 6 1/2 months old), he adores this toy. He'll crawl over and start pounding on it. Each of the little musical thing plays the instrument...I'd recommend this to any baby. If your baby doesn't like it at first, let him get used to it and he'll end of up loving it.

  • Could be better
    By A3LHCYEVNOEES0 on 2007-12-02
I would be much happier with this toy if it had a real microphone as opposed to a microphone-shaped rattle. It's a much more simple toy (for my one-year old) than I thought it would be, especially for the cost.

  • My 8 month old loves this....
    By A2UTRKGAXLYYV2 on 2007-10-24
My 8-month old son loves this toy. He has had it for 2 months or so and he really enjoys it. He laughs at himself in the mirror and pushes and pounds on all the little instruments. I have to agree with a previous poster though about the mirror, it is pretty scratched up but he doesn't seem to mind.

  • Cute as a bug!
    By A1TCHBREHXU3HF on 2007-10-24
I bought this for my grandson, and he just loves it. You know that really is the test of a good product, when baby wants to play, play and play. Mommie is happy too!

  • Sing Along Stage
    By A1TYFD1PJLCJIX on 2007-11-04
This toy is just ok for the price. My son is 7 months old and it does not keep his interest for much time. It is possible however that he is just still to young for it. I think it looked more fun for me then it ended up being for him. I will probably put it away for now and bring it back out in a month or two.

  • Very Fun Toy!
    By A2LRRDJLNB8YJU on 2007-11-30
My grandson got this toy for his 1st birthday and this is his favorite toy so far. It is very entertaining and he loves to dance and hear the kids voices.

  • The twins love it!
    By AQYJZL983BYHM on 2007-11-30
My 10-month-old twin girls absolutely love this little stage, and it keeps them entertained for long periods. Not understanding their reflection, I've caught them looking over the top of the stage, seemingly looking for the "other" baby they see.

  • Best. Toy. Ever.
    By A2LE0C0NV6JIKE on 2008-03-13
My son received this for Christmas when he was 6 months old. He was immediately fascinated by the music, lights and baby in the mirror. He's now 11 months and if I put him down in the middle of the room this is the toy he crawls to every single time. He claps, pulls himself to standing and dances, pushes all the buttons and laughs.

Extremely durable, able to take the playing by 4-year-old big brother. Songs are embarrassingly catchy (we all find ourselves singing them). Off switch and two volume levels.

Seriously the best toy for a baby we've ever owned.

  • Sold!!!!!!!
    By ARQBZYLCWEOFU on 2008-10-28
I was skeptical when I ordered this toy. I'd seen it advertised, and it struck me as just another toy to play annoying songs. I actually try to avoid battery-powered toys as much as possible. However, I wanted a toy that my 10 month old son could play with in the kitchen while I cook/clean/etc.

The stage came today, and as is written in the amazon description/editorial off the toy, the legs are a pain to put on, mainly because I couldn't get the screws to go all the way in. I am satisfied, however, that they are in good enough for the toy to be sturdy and not a hazard of any sort.

After I put the toy together, I let my son have a go at it, and oh my gosh, he was in heaven. The voice that scat sings is the voice of a child, and while it isn't necessarily music to my ears, my little boy laughed his head off. He loves the mirror and the lights. He loves the music. He preferred the mode where he can hit and make the sounds rather than the songs just playing for him. And that was fine by me because I was able to clean the kitchen up while he laughed and played. I even stopped what I was doing to grab the video camera because he was having such a big time. Even more importantly, I put him down late for his nap because he was having such a big time. Trust me, I am schedule-bound, so a late nap is huge.

The only critique I have of the toy (other than the previously mentioned leg attachment issue) is that I wish the feet had some sort of non-sliding surface. We have linoleum in our kitchen, and the stage kept sliding away from him. I put it against the wall/cabinets, and that helped. I'll attach some non-slip stuff of some sort to the feet, but it would be nice if Fisher Price would do this as well. More and more people seem to have hardwood floors, so I would think it would be beneficial to many.

If I had it to do over again, I would definitely buy this toy again. It really was one of the biggest hits I've gotten him, and believe me, I've put some money into toys over the past few months. I think this toy will definitely be worth the $40 it costs here.

  • entertaining

My 7 month old hasn't figured out how everything works, but she gets so excited when I sit her in front of it. She loves the music and playing with the microphone.

  • Her Majesty's favorite toy
    By ASL0OYSUAJRUD on 2007-12-02
We bought this for our 10 month old daughter and she LOVES it. She spends most of her time banging out the tunes and loves the mirror. We highly recommend this toy.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RAQ18MLTBIQK7 Both my 9 month old and 4 1/2 year old love this toy. The 4 year old loves to watch herself singing in the mirror and the 9 month old dances to the music. This toy is used daily. Is not easily stored as it is a larger toy, but good overall. Great purchase.

My daughter has had this toy since she was about 7 months old. She is now a year, and STILL loves it! She plays with it everyday. She learned to pull herself up to a standing position on this Stage! :)

  • She danced before she could walk!

My sister bought this toy for my daughter at 6 months old. She is now 10 months old and continues to play with this toy every day! She loves it. She prefers to stand, rock back and forth and bounce to the music. It is her favorite toy! Happy baby, happy mom.

  • Look it's me--I see
    By A2RKAT3SYZR84Y on 2008-03-08
I think this toy is incredibility educational for children. I bought it for my grandson for Christmas--he was almost 5 months old. He loves it. It is one of his favorite toys. Not only does it play music, light up, teaches songs, he has learned coordination from the microphone, bottons, levers, and other knobs on the toy. It has also taught him cause and effect. The thing I love most about it through is how he can explore himself. He looks in the mirror and takes notice to his eyes, mouth, nose, ears, etc. I think sometimes he thinks he has a friend playing with him. He plays with this toy for long periods of time and is extremely content and laughs, gibber gabbers, and dances.

  • My daughter loves it!

We bought this for our daughter for Christmas. She was 9 months old and loved it and still loves it a few months later. She loves to watch herself in the mirror while she dances and shakes her head to the music. She also plays peek-a-boo with herself in the mirror sometimes. We all love this toy!

  • My 6 month old LOVES this!
    By A26BAJ5CX4PVMG on 2008-03-18
As soon as I sat him in front of it he started playing with it! He sat there for only 30 mins just playing with it and laughing. I would recommend this to any one who has a baby that can sit up!
