  • Not so hot

    By A345TTC3SOLLAR on 2008-03-16
Bought this for daughter who does love it. But there are design issues I'd have thought would have been worked out by now. I was growing up in the 80's and Fisher Price had much nicer play houses then that were larger and had more rooms to them. This one is much differently designed, smaller, less rooms. It has sound effects to it which could be nice: phone rings, doorbell, toilet flushes. But the toilet only flushes if you RAISE the lid ????? and should flush when you lower the lid. The front door NEVER stays on. You don't even have to mess with it much like open it, you touch it and it just falls off the hinges because they didn't make them well. Overall daughter loves it (nothing to compare to) but as a parent I'm disappointed.

  • It's a home run!

I purchased this for my two year old nephew. He was playing with it non-stop since opening the box. In fact, when his father got home from work the following day at midnight, my nephew had woken up and immediately starting playing with it. His father played with him for about an hour, thinking he would go down, but he wouldn't stop! Finally, he tried to put him to bed and he want crazy! He LOVES this toy! The next morning, he called "dada? dada?", and as dad opened the door, my nephew took his hand and led him.... to the house! He played with it all morning.

  • My daughter loves this toy

This is a very fun product my daughter loves it even the little toilet makes a flushing sound when you lift the lid it also has a little doorbell that really rings and a window that you can move back and forth to make night and day sounds and the dog and cat when you turn them around in circles the make sounds and play music you have to keep an eye on the little bitty pieces as they can get lost easily but overall this is a really fun and cute and very durable toy

  • Well, they finally learned...dollhouses aren't JUST for girls.

    By A2AV37AKRQZSYY on 2007-09-26
Years ago, there were quite a few dollhouses on the market that were neutral colors or more blue-based to suit a boy or a girl. Well, those days were gone until recently. We, mothers of boys and girls alike, were nauseated time and time again by the overly pink and purple McMansions that decorated our child's rooms.

But, good news everyone...just as I began to complain about the obvious message from toymakers that boys should not play with dollhouses...I stop by a Toys R Us and see a too-cute collection by Step 2. And guess what? They were ALL in neutral, classic colors.

Though I find the Step 2 collection slightly cuter and more creative, my son has so many Little People toys that it would be a shame to get rid of them and start over. Besides, he doesn't know the difference, right?

While this house doesn't have anything particularly special about it, he loves it and plays with it often. It doesn't have as many sounds as his old VERY pink and purple LP house, but it's good to leave something for their imagination. I like the new dog and cat feature. I'm a bit disappointed that they removed the laundry room and computer room, but that's less work for Mommy and less fun for Daddy (with that cell phone, he's having too much anyway, right), so it works out. And I do hope that eventually they take the baby out of the bassinet...

I appreciate the fact that I can have this in my son's room and not feel as if we should put it away should anyone come over.

  • Little People rule!

    By A3N56JVZ3FCJFZ on 2008-01-11
I don't know why, but anything with Little People absolutely captivates my not-yet-2-year-old. She loves the toys and the books - and this toy is the latest addition to her collection. She will sit by herself for 30+ minutes just moving things around and talking to her Little friends. That's 30+ minutes for me to get a few things done around the house! For some reason, she always puts the dad (who's holding a cell phone) in the bathroom... Maybe she's trying to tell me something? ;^)

  • No other toy exists!
    By A12PD5I1DYYSK7 on 2007-12-28
My nephew opened this toy on christmas eve as he was falling asleep, after opening all his other gifts. He couldn't stop playing with it, and they had to put in in bed with it, or else he wouldn't go to bed. I get you could say he liked it.

  • Great first dollhouse for boys AND girls
    By AFF140WPIMR4D on 2008-09-29
We bought this for my daughter for her second birthday as a first dollhouse. It's perfect. And I love that it's not pink. My son is 15 months older than my daughter and he loves this toy too. Everything is big and chunky and a lot of the furniture is build right into the house (fridge, couch, toilet, crib). So if any pieces get lost, you're not just looking at a bunch of empty rooms.

  • Fun and excellent toy!!
    By AZXQWPSQHCSD0 on 2008-08-23
I bought this toy for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and wish I would have gotten it for her sooner. She absolutely loves it, and has played with it every day for 2 months!! It is sturdy and made well. There are some furniture pieces that are removable, and some that are built in. Her favorite sounds are the doorbell, telephone and potty. The potty flushes when the lid is lifted...a bit strange, but o.k. for a child. We are potty training now, and she is able to pretend play with her doll house. This is very much worth the money!! I have highly recommended it to my friends and family.

  • Dollhouse
    By A36BBK99ACC6LQ on 2008-04-19
My 18-month-old really enjoys this dollhouse. I wasn't sure if she was ready for a dollhouse, but she's starting to get interested in it. She doesn't play too long with it yet, but I'm sure she will as she gets older. This is her first experience with the "Little People", too, and they're great. She likes to take the "mom" and "dad" out of the house, and tuck them in bed with her blankie. It's a great introductory dollhouse, without all the small parts you usually have to worry about with big kid dollhouses. And it's gender neutral, too, which is pleasant to see.

  • Great for toddlers
    By A2ERIS4HNGMAYN on 2009-09-16
I bought this dollhouse for my granddaughter's second birthday,,even though it is recommended for age 3. I did not see that when I bought it, but so far my granddaughter has loved it from the moment it came out of the box.. we have spent literally hours in fun, imaginative play..It even has a little dog house. Daddy has a cell phone, pretty typical for many families..It is very sturdy, and the little sounds are cute..the toilet flushes, the phone rings..It has been a big hit, and is a good buy since all the furniture and the little family is included. Makes a very nice special gift, for your own special little one..I see no reason why little boys would not like this too.

  • 15 month old enjoys it..
    By AXKKRT9RH9385 on 2009-01-07
My daughter got this dollhouse for christmas, along with a few other little people sets. She really likes that it makes noises when you ring the doorbell, phone, etc. I agree with the person that said the toilet should not flush when you LIFT the lid but when you close it.. but oh well. She likes it.

  • the price is odd
    By A17L48NQG71TU on 2008-12-12
I just bought this from amazon.com a few weeks ago as a toys for tots for $24, how is it now over $60?? I think amazon.com is going to pay (pun intended) for allowing this sort of price gouging from its vendors. You can find this elsewhere so much cheaper.

  • My child loves it
    By A2NGZFSMKNLPZJ on 2008-12-03
My daughter is almost 2 years old, and she loves this doll house. It is very durable and easy to clean. The only issue that I can think of is that it only comes with 3 dolls: mom, dad, and baby. I bought her some of the extra Little People dolls to go with it.

  • My daughter loved it.
    By ANW67ETOATJU on 2008-09-05
I got this for my daughters 2 yr birthday. She absolutely loved it and played with it non-stop for days. The best part was when she tried to sit on the little chairs that came with the house. They're made for the little people that go with it, but she just kept trying!

  • Adorable Little DollHouse!
    By A3OXRFCJI67IMN on 2010-02-14
This is such a cute little toy. We all spent hours playing with it, trying out and exploring all the details. Everything worked well for us and it was an excellent purchase.

  • Fun House with Lots of Activities
    By AQY6K4ZFJHHRF on 2010-02-09
Our daughter received this on her first birthday. She has been enjoying it for almost a year. She wants it out all the time, to keep track of. It provides great learning opportunities, as she helps the mommy, daddy, and baby do different tasks. The house is very cute, and has a lot of the essentials of a real house. I do wish, however, it had a few more fun options. My daughter loves to take baths, and pretend to bathe her animals - but this house has no shower or tub, only a toilet. It does have several cute sounds it makes, which reinforce the learning and experimenting. Overall, we have been very pleased and gotten a lot of use out of this toy.

I bought this doll house for my two grand daughters who are a year and a half. It is just the right size with just enough objects in it to amuse them. There are several sound features that they also enjoy. It is constructed very well.

  • Sweet lil' home
    By A20E5KYAOTET1Z on 2009-09-25
My daughters have had the Busy Day Home for about a year, and just like the rest of their Little People toys, they never grow tired of playing with it! Lots of room for imaginative play - the possibilities are endless! Tons of fun sounds such as the doorbell, the telephone, a flushing toilet, a daytime song, a night time song, and other fun sounds. The rooms are large enough to allow for plenty of creative play. A patio, kiddie pool and dog house (complete with puppy and kitty) outside are wonderful ways to expand play to outside the house structure. The walk-out balcony off of the parents' bedroom is a fun detail too! This toy is extremely durable, nearly impossible to break (trust me, if it were possible, my daughter would have done it already, her nickname is "destructo-girl" hehehe)! This toy will provide hours, and years of fun playtime for your children and is good enough quality to do the same for your grandchildren in years to come! That's our plan at least!!! :)

  • Gift for grandaughter
    By A2T3SQVIIBXQT7 on 2009-09-04
My daughter-in-law recommended that I purchase the Little People Busy Day Home. I really liked the organization of the house, the way the little people can sit in each room, the sturdiness of the house. My grandaughters (twins) really love the Little People toys and videos, that is the best reason to buy something.

We got the pink version for my daughter on her first birthday. She and my son love it. She loves to push things threw the door and windows and to make the phone ring. Well worth the $$

  • Fun Entertaining Toy
    By A32BZEIOXJJKFX on 2009-06-12
I bought this for my granddaughter for her first birthday. She loves to play with the older Fisher Price sets I have at my house, so I thought she would like this. She spends a lot of time playing with the house. She opens and shuts the front door and the refrigerator door, raises the toilet lid and pushes the phone to make it ring. At this age she doesn't think to turn it around but when you do it for her, she loves to play with the dog and cat and the windows on the other side. The mom, dad, and baby are perfect size for her to move around and carry all over house. Good toy that she will enjoy for long time.

  • Great for toddlers
    By A1UHNBDZE7AY4I on 2009-06-03
I bought this for my daughter's first birthday, and she absolutely loves it. She likes the sounds and the people are just the right size for her hands. The house is very easy for her to use. I like that the house folds up when she isn't using it, and it's one of her more durable toys.

  • Great, compact first doll house!
    By A2H18BMLXJSAXO on 2009-03-27
This doll house was purchased for our church nursery for children ages 1-3. The children immediately took to it, creating stories, interacting with the people, and exploring the sounds (door bell, phone, dog, etc.). It has been a huge hit! Thank you Fisher-Price!

    By A8RAOUNM64VKD on 2009-02-01
I bought this for my one year old daughter's birthday and she loves it! She plays with it more than anything else- several times a day. She has found new ways to play with it daily, and this is definitely a toy she will grow with. I highly recommend!

  • Wonderful Toy
    By A26IAWIOK1ZIII on 2009-01-13
I purchased the play house for my 1 year old daughter. When I take her to her play room she immediately walks to the house, it's her favourite! She laughs when she rings the door bell or the phone and spends lots of time playing with the little dolls.

  • Excellent First Doll House for your Baby
    By A2OAI586RF4XIP on 2009-01-13
This doll house is adorable. I bought this for my 10 month old daughter for Christmas. She is so young but loves this toy. She can ring the doorbell and make the cat and dog chase each other. She also likes to open and close the door and she chews on all the people and the removable table and chairs.(Typical baby) There is 2 windows and a little moveable bar with a sun and moon. When moved to sun it plays birds chirping in the morning and at night it plays a little nighttime lullaby. The toilet and telephone also make sounds. This was well worth the money and a great first doll house.

  • My House
    By AK0IYPZ972NU8 on 2009-01-07
My 22 month old granddaughter can not play with this toy enough. The little people fit perfectly in her hand. The phone and door bells ring and the toilet actually flushes. It is very sturdy and the figures and removables get stored when the house is closed. I highly recommend this toy because it helps children to use their imagination and to reinforce social skills.
