  If George Strait started doing stand up it would be something like Rodney Carrington(Obviouly George would have to go 'blue' with the language. lol). With the jeans, shirt and cowboy hat, he is not far from being a country singer - and he can sing as well as be funny. I'm new to the world of Rodney so I cannot really compare this DVD to anything he's done in the past but now I am a new fan.
  
  The songs are the most entertaining part of his show and, if you don't listen to the lyrics too closely, you'd swear you was watching a George Strait acoustic show. By that I mean the guy can actually carry a tune - the comedy is not in his bad singing but in the lyrics. The way he sings with funny facial expressions is hillarious and his piano player sideman getting into the act as well by going off on tangents singing until Rodney stops him. I am not easily offended at all so if you are, this guy is not for you. Funny is funny, if you can't handle profanity or sexual references then you should probably stick to something like Bill Cosby. Otherwise, this DVD is well worth buying and it makes you wonder how far Rodney would get if he actually turned into a serious singer(which in the bonus materials on the DVD, he says he has no intention of doing).
  
  The bonus feature is entertaining too. You get to see Rodney meet the fans, hang out backstage and hear a few new songs not on the stand-up show including a 'serious' song he wrote about a friend of his who passed away. Be sure and listen to that one.
  
  A very funny and entertaining DVD unless your a fuddy duddy who can't handle language.
  
  

• Be Prepared for Rodney Lite

  We were at the venue for the filming of this DVD, and I've got to say, he put on one heck of a show. The best thing about Rodney is that he's always fresh. He very rarely uses his old bit, so each time you see him, you're in for surprises, and this one was no exception.
  
  But it seems that he has taken a bit more of a conservative path since his show on ABC. If you've heard his old albums (Laugh You [...] and Morning Wood), you will probably agree that this is a bit on the "light" side.
  
  Just about anything that comes out of Rodney's mouth is hilarious, but I personally came to love the guy for his complete lack of respect for anyone or anything. While "Live at the Majestic" and "King of the Mountains" (they are both from the same show) are both well-produced and extremely entertaining, they lack the level of insult that made him famous.

  I FIRST SAW RODNEY CARRINGTON ON COMEDY CENTRAL, AND I LAUGHED TILL MY SIDES HURT. SO I ORDERED THE DVD TWO DIFFERENT TIMES AND THE DVD DOES NOT WORK. THE COUNTER ON THE DVD PLAYER GOES TO 15 SECONDS AND STOPS.
  HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIS DVD, BUT I AM AFRAID TO BUY FROM AMAZON BRAND NEW. BUT LET ME SAY THAT THIS IT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING I HAVE BOUGHT OFF OF AMAZON.

  My husband and I absolutely loved Rodney's dvd!! It is hilarious. My daughter has purchased it also. I have shared it with many friends and everyone just loves it. It is an adult show, not for little children. It is just great!!! We love Rodney and are waiting for the next dvd by him! The quality of the dvd was good and as always purchasing it threw amazon was quick and a deal!

  I bought this video having never seen Rodney Carrington's stand-up routine before, and I can honestly say I've never laughed this hard at one comic in my life.
  
  To me, his songs make the DVD. He has a clever way of making you believe the song is going to be serious and then suddenly, one hilarious line changes the tune, i.e., Show Them to Me.
  
  If you buy this DVD, be sure to watch the special features which offers a behind-the-scenes look at Rodney and his creative process. He does finally get serious with one song at the very end of the special features section. It will really make you think about the ones you love.
  
  All-in-all, a DVD you can watch over and over again when you just need to laugh.

  This guy is not like Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable guy or Bill Engval. One thing he does very catchy songs that can stay stoke in your head for days. The first half or so is just regular stand up and basically stories of things that had happened to him. The big jokes are the songs and trust me many of you will very patriotic when you hear them and SEE them. Plus you appeaciate bobbies even better then before Hahaha.

  Rodney Carrington is the funniest comedian I have ever seen. He's not only a stand up but a great singer as well. This DVD is a must for all who need a good laugh, but have an open mind cause it is a little rude but not crude. We laughed that hard that our stomachs hurt and had to have a break half way through. A fantastic purchase and we have watched it over and over!

  Rodney Carrington is the funniest comedian out there. His material may not be suitable for the faint at heart but he will make you laugh until you pee a little. His material just keeps getting better and better. If you have listened to his cd's before you have to check this out he is so much funnier in person. The facial expressions add so much to his act. I recently saw him live and I just loved him. This is a must see dvd.

  This video is too much!! I laughed until my face and stomach hurt, then groaned and laughed some more. Rodney's humor isn't for everyone, though. He is crude at times, uses lots of sexual humor, and is fond of language some would find foul. But, if you're a fan of the Blue Collar Comedy tour or just like a good ol' boy who tells it like it is, check this video out. You won't be sorry.

  We ordered this after seeing the Comedy Central (edited) version. He is very funny but since this video is not censored, be careful who is in the room when you play it. Young children and those easily offended by off-color comedy might have a problem with it.
