It's a good toy and it can store another cars! By A3A3NTK5K3DD18 on 2007-07-07
First of all: it includes a removable Mater.
It has recorded phrases and they are played when you push the door button.
It can store 2 additional cars in the back but not the big ones. You must use the other door to do that. They recommend Luigi and McQueen. You can store more cars at your own risk.
Also you can put Guido in another section
it has a trigger so you can make the helices spin and sound like a real helicopter.
My son drop this toy a lot of times and it's a durable toy.
The cons:
-the front door button is a little hard to push for a young kid. My 3yo son can do it.
-You got to be careful with the helices when you pull the trigger
I recommend this toy as a good gift for a kid.
HTF, so easy to love! By A2KPB3JW26TG5O on 2007-07-26
I seen the helicopter a couple months back at Target, ignored it as I wasn't looking for it. A week later i thought it would be a great gift and went back for it, no longer there. I looked for a few weeks different stores, nothing. Put a couple bids on it on ebay, outbid. Walked into walmart, there it was, almost missed it, gave up looking.
Needless to say my son was with me so I didn't get to put it away as a gift but he started playing with it then, in the cart, and has continued since.
He'll be 2 in August,07. He is a huge cars fan and all I have heard since we got this is mater yelling out of it, which is funny. It makes cool copter sounds when it propells.
It can also roll as a vehicle.
Not much storage in it, another car or two.
Very durable as my kid likes to bang and crash vehicles.
Glad to have been lucky enough to found it before a vulture bought it for resale.
Good Toy, not much to it By A26IOYPMTJFMK4 on 2007-08-10
It was a good toy for my 2 year old, but it say's the same thing over and over again, the propellar has to be moved with a trigger manually, and it's really tought o fit other cars in it besides mater. Overall it's a good toy and the boys love it.
My Son Loves his Dineco Hellicopter! By A1VX1EHPUCHHWL on 2007-08-12
What a great idea from the people at Pixar to market the actual helicopter that Tow Mater gets to ride near the end of the movie.
To quote a line from the movie, " I am happy as a tornado in a trailer park" about this toy.
Amazing toy for a little boy! By A2IVAVVBDAWI6X on 2007-12-07
Our two year old loves his Helicopter! After owning it for five months here is what we think:
Pros:
- Has provided hours of pretend flying, the cool realistic helicopter sound is an added bonus!
- It is extremely durable - our son is not easy on toys and this has had it's fair share of abuse.
- My husband enjoys playing with it.
- The price of the toy - unbelievable for the amount of time he has spent actually playing with it.
- Our son has had no issues using any of the buttons on the toy, Mater comes out with every push of the button.
- A great gift for any child 2-5!
Con:
- The only con is the rubber band - or device which moved the blades to spin quit working or fell off, although the sound is still there. Might not be a bad thing considering the two year old is the operator.
- Great toy, but a little confusing on how it works
     By A3QAJLV8E95O3P on 2008-01-02
Gave this to my son (3.5yrs) for Christmas. The helicopter seems to work fine, but one of the blades seemed to break the first day and the trigger did not spin the blades like it once did. Mine may just be the exception, but it really required almost breaking the blades to re-align and it worked again. My first review rated it low for this and I've modified it, but cannot seem to change the rating stars. O well. Great toy.
- Took it apart and put it back together to understand how it works.

I had the same problem as a couple people in that my boy really likes this toy but after a little while the blades stopped spinning with the trigger. I took the entire thing apart and here is what I found out. The blade spinning trigger is connected to a plastic bar which has gear teeth on the side end. The teeth stick into a gear box. Inside the gear box another smaller gear box pivots into engagement with the rotor(blades) hub. When the trigger is released, the smaller pivoting gearbox can move out of engagement with the hub, allowing you to pull the trigger and spin the blades again. This unit seems to be fairly durable and was not the problem with the blades not spinning. What was causing the blades not to spin is this: The hub(center) of the blades is designed to lift out of engagement with the gearbox when the blades are folded. This appears to be so the blades and gearbox don't break when the trigger is pulled when the helicopter is in the box. Once you take it out of the box and align the five blades open, the hub snaps down flat and the blades hub gear engages, allowing the trigger to work. End of gearhead comments. ************ S u m m a r y - If you are having problems with the trigger not spinning the blades, make sure the blades are opened and evenly spaced. This will mean the three big black hub disks at the center of the blades are all laying flat together with no spaces between them. This will allow the gear to engage. If it feels like the blades are going to break trying to align them at first you may want to grasp the sides of the hub disks and pull up when aligning the blades as this will make it much easier to line them up properly and the hub spring will pull them back together as soon as you let go of the hub. Hope this helps to put more helicopters back in action.
- Great Disney Cars Toy
     By A20DKK7BCKMQ75 on 2007-08-23
My son loves this toy, at first I thought it was a little babyish for a 5 year old, but he absolutely enjoys all the features, from the sound affects to the fact that you can take Mater out and put other cars in the helicopter. The propellors spin and it makes chopter noises. It sturdy and there have been no problems with any pieces breaking off. It is a fun toy.
- Simple & Fun
     By A1QJY0EDUXOHJM on 2007-12-26
This is a very fun toy. With the 2 opening doors, removable Mater being obnoxious, & spinning propellers - what's not to love? This is a favorite toy of my little one. I love how it keeps him occupied in the car. My 2yr old nephew also has the same "copter" and he enjoys his a great deal as well. We were at a family get-together last night and every kid under 5 was fighting over Aiden's "copter". I would recommend this toy as a gift to anyone with a "Cars" fan in the house.
- Worth the $$
     By A2JI0H2CH70DZS on 2007-12-27
We have tons of the "Cars" toys and this one is a riot! Our 2 1/2 y.o. has a little bit of a hard time squeezing the little trigger underneath the back part of the copter (when you squeeze it the blades spin and helicopter noises emit) but he is getting better at it after one day.
There are doors that open on both sides...one with firm touch of a button (again, a little hard for young fingers to master at first) that triggers Mater to holler various funny lines. The other side has a bigger door and you can fit several more cars in the front of the copter.
Comes with a (slightly smaller than the one you buy individually) removeable Mater.
Great fun
