  • Great Fun! - Check out the video review

    By A3HY7JEDD960XT on 2007-10-23
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2CMVS0U3ISA7N I love my Say What. I leave it out on the coffee table and get a quick game or two when I have a few minutes, or when I'm taking a break from working. When I have guests over its a fun conversation starter, or a good distraction when there is no conversation! Everyone always wants to play a few rounds.

300 Phrases is suprisingly deep, and it's just as fun (or more fun!) to watch as it is to play, kind of like a Nintendo Wii.

I'm a fan of board games, but they can sometimes take too long. "Say What" is great if you can't commit a lot of time and just want something casual for a few minutes up to a half hour or so.

The plastic balls are sturdy and I haven't had any problems yet. I've had it for over a month and I'm still on my first set of 4 AA batteries.

It really is great for grown-ups and kids. There are references from the 1980s up to today, and even if a little kid doesn't know the phrase, they still figure it out through context. A bit of "Back seat driving" makes for a fun group atmosphere.

    Highly recommended.

  • Fun. addictive play!

    By A2VUWZ8FMSQ568 on 2007-09-23
Our family has been playing this game nightly since we pulled it out of the box. It's fun and our kids really like shuffling the balls around (they make great sounds when moved in and out of the tray!). One of the more clever things they did was create skill levels so that our 7 year old has been able to play competitively with Mom and Dad. The kid has beaten the parents more than once! The audio could be clearer, but the pop phrases are great and fun to figure out (even the unfamiliar ones are fun to unscramble). Another great game from Radica!

  • Love it!

    By A2BOFQSXPP1EHB on 2007-09-25
Finally a game for us pop culture people. My son had never heard the saying "the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup", but he laughed when I couldn't unscramble "a scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me." Great fun with a group or on your own. Some real brain exercise.

  • Great Game! EXPENSIVE Merchants!!!

    By A1C0UAIOQTQ55 on 2007-12-30
This game is a LOT of fun, and our whole family enjoys it! HOWEVER... You can purchase this game for under $30 NEW at an Aah's Store OR for $14.95 from The Discovery Store! (I'm sure that you can Google other merchants who charge appropriately for this game, too.)I have NO IDEA why these merchants are charging SO MUCH ($50.00???) for this game!!! They have GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!

  • Fun family game

    By A1RQ0NM284CRBX on 2008-01-07
Our 7 year old daughter requested this game for Christmas and we ordered it, having never heard of it. It's been fun for all of us and for her friends. Sometimes she is not familiar with the original phrases (like, "nobody puts Baby in a corner" from "Dirty Dancing") but she can usually figure it out. I would recommend this product.

  • Unexpected addictive fun
    By A28MFJHRM3CTN2 on 2007-12-28
I had read some of the previous reviews and thought I'd order it for the family for the holiday gatherings. What a fun game, very addictive! Everyone wanted in on the action. " I want to try! I want to try!" The game gives you a jumble of words by lighted balls to put in order in a given time mode or in a number of try mode. It was much more fun than I expected.

  • Radica Say What!
    By A6UAUOZQB3FWA on 2007-12-29
I really enjoy this game, so do my kids and others who have seen it at our house. It's quick and fun. No long set-up. Just pick it up, and start playing. You can make it easier for the younger ones playing.

  • SAY WHAT is so much fun!
    By A31G8KZ37SL7BN on 2007-12-29
SAY WHAT is so much fun! There are 5 balls and each ball contains 1-3 words. There are famous phrases that are mixed up, for example unscramble the following: Dead, Dong, the witch, and Ding. Did you come up with "Ding Dong The Witch is Dead"? You have a choice of games, to unscramble the words in an allotted amount of time or to solve it in three tries. Up to 5 people can play, if you have more you can do teams. We haven't put this down since we got it. The only thing that stinks is ... we've played it so much the phrases are now repeating themselves.

  • Great gift
    By A2HB78XD32P98C on 2007-12-31
I bought this for my nephew and wasn't sure if he would like it but he loved it. He spent most of the night playing the game - with some of the younger kids as well as other adults at the birthday party. The younger kids didn't really get the phrases but liked trying to move the balls into the right order.

  • I bought this as a gift...
    By AZQA9M9QA0N1W on 2007-12-31
and now I need one for myself! Sometimes, it's a bit difficult to understand the words, but that could be because we were in a crowded noisy room. Ir's quite fun. The other video review that someone submitted is what sold me!

  • Fun for Pre-Teen to Grandpa
    By APPQ65HREERQV on 2008-01-02
This game is a lot of fun. They have sayings from many years ago til today. I got this for my 12 year old and my 15 year old is addicted to it. It is fun explaining some of the sayings to my kids and they explain some of the current day lyrics to me.

  • Love this game
    By A20KQEV2WWA7L3 on 2008-01-03
Bought this for the kids but I love it more than them. This is a great toy to buy an adult, my mom and mother in law both love it. Here is a gift to buy that aunt or friend, my teenagers like it too, but to hard for my children under age 11. Also my dad is hard of hearing and he can't play it because he can't understand it. It is a fun easy fast game, perfect for the coffee table.

  • Lots of Holiday Fun!!!
    By A2DZNM65DHREOI on 2008-01-07
This game is a lot of fun. We played this game over the holidays and had a blast. Even the younger members of my family were able to pitch in. It is a hard feat to find a game that young and old will have as much fun playing as they did this game. The only drawback that I can find is that at times it is a little hard to hear. Other than that this game is a great buy!!!!

  • Fun!
    By AEOU7NJS1Y7JU on 2008-06-05
I bought this for my 9 year old daughter, who has the attention sPan of a "fly", it's almost non existent- She sat there for the longest time Playing with this game. We all joined in and had some laughs- cool game. Glad I made this Purchase. The only thing I would have to say is a little irritating would be when a ball gets removed like (by my 3 year old cause he likes it to) it sits there and says "Ball missing" until you rePlace it. There isn't an on off switch that I could see and that got a little frustrating. My son had taken one of the balls to his room and we had to hunt for it until we finally got it back in the game. Otherwise, very fun, and now out of reach of my 3 year old. :) Would recommend this to everyone.

  • Fun! Fun!! Fun!!!
    By ANG6VFN6WIQ8A on 2008-07-03
Even the adults enjoy this challenging table-top game. 80's song titles and lines, along with bookkoodles of famous sayings. Keeps us all laughing and calling out the answers.

  • Mine broke 10 minutes after turning it on
    By A1VXIY1511XQK2 on 2008-08-06
Some friends and i were playing this and about 10 minutes into the game it keep making a loud beeping that is suppose to mean the balls are missing, when they weren't. we tried moving the balls around to different spaces but it kept on making that lou beeping. we tried resetting it several times but it still wouldn't work. It was extremely fun while it did work, but i would have to say you should definetly save the receipt for this game in case you have the same problem. in the games instructions it says that if the game malfunction to try resetting it, which tells me it happens a lot.

  • Poor quality speaker
    By A2QKPJYBHUDY5C on 2007-12-29
The prior reviews are accurate. This game can be fun, BUT I was disappointed by the poor quality of the speaker. Some of the words come out garbled and unclear. For younger players who may not be too familiar with some of the phrases, they don't stand a chance if they can't even understand the words being spoken.

  • all around family fun
    By A2Y386GDOWGAWF on 2008-01-02
this is a great family game for all ages ... my siblings and I (all above 40) had a fun time with this game even though it was bought for my 10 year old... The phrases are very familiar and will keep you laughing for hours. the kids enjoyed trying to put the phrases in order with a little coaching on the phrases. A must for all ages

  • Lot's of Fun but gets boring
    By A2MRHQIWOPGOOJ on 2008-01-07
My daughter loves the game and we play it occasionally, one good thing about it you can quit anytime you want to , you dont have to keep playing until it over, and it is fun trying to guess the phrase, but she did get bored with it and set it aside it's a kind of a put in the closet game and pull it out occasionally kind of game but over all fun.

  • Family Fun!
    By A2MRM91FQ9QPMH on 2008-01-07
I purchased this for a Christmas gift for our "game night" family. We had fun and spent 3 hours playing. We had different age levels playing, so no one felt that they were left out "phrase" wise. It may be harder for younger children (8 yrs or so). One drawback is the overall quality of the voice. Some words were a little hard to understand. There was a great mix of all time periods and genres -- music, movies, tv, etc.

  • Addictive Fun!!
    By A2IAP3OR2YIRSM on 2008-01-14
I bought this game for my 12 yr old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. It's a very challenging game for all ages because the phrases range from the first Star Wars Movie through current pop songs. My husband and I challenge each other to see who can get a perfect score of 5 out of 5. There are 5 different phrases to unscramble each time you play and the time limit decreases by 5 seconds each time. We took it with us to a New Year's Eve party and played with the other couples. Everybody had a blast. This game is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

  • Say What! Say excellent toy!
    By ANPCZ1J4RC6UL on 2008-01-14
I have played this game with friends from age eight to sixty-nine. We all have enjoyed the game and love the fact you can play a game in as little as two minutes. I've learned new phrases and have a teacher friend who believes that this toy would be very helpful for kids who learn english as their second language. Audioclarity could be enhanced a bit as occasionallly players have difficulty understanding a part of a phrase. I plan to buy more of these games as gifts.

  • Say What?!
    By A2RJU18Q1KVW7X on 2008-01-20
What an addicting little toy! Once you get started its hard to put it away. Its fun to watch my son try to figure out some of "older" phrases or songs. Even more fun to see his expression when I know the phrase or song.

  • Radica Say What!
    By A2JOJA93WCZBHW on 2008-02-05
This is a fun product however, it is quite difficult at times to understand the words that are being said. The tone is not very clear. The volume is also a slight problem. If it is not completely quiet in the room, you really have a hard time catching everything that is said. But that said, we like this product.

  • Good for the memory
    By A3DUFXOAGTGCQX on 2008-02-09
This is a great toy and helps children and adults with memory skills. The whole family can enjoy a game like this!

  • Say What! is GREAT!
    By A1130DL6RFUW6G on 2008-05-25
We played it as a family and it was really fun- It works no matter how many people you have- from one to a group.

  • a little disappointed
    By A36WMLLRPR1Y3W on 2008-05-31
I bought this game for my 10 yr old daughter but I played with it a few times after she said "it stunk". I thought is was a little hard with very few trys allowed.

  • Well Pleased
