  New technology has led to the book or craft light that will be the end to all others.
  
  Its incredibly bright--with no shadows--, lights both pages (no shadows), is by far the brightest light (maybe double), spots only onto the book (the room remains dark), completely flexable shaft so you can direct the light exactly on what you want, AND lasts 40 hours on 3 AAA batterys!
  
  Like comparing a Corvette to a tricycle! See to beleive.

  My wife who loves to read in bed after I have gone to bed, has tried many, many book lights over the years. The complaints have been many about each one, and pretty much the same. Small circle of light, have to move it from side to side to see good. So last Christmas I went on an internet hunt for the ideal book light. After a few days of research, I decided on this one for her. Now 7 months later she wants me to buy one for our daughter, and a spare for her (in case I lose or break it) cause she says could not live a night without it now. True story. It is bright and evenly covers an area of two pages of a large book without trouble, no hot spots. Seems to be the perfect book light. Battery life is excellent with the LED bulbs.

  I just ordered more because my daughter took all of mine to college with her. She clips them to bookshelves and headboards for extra light for studying that won't bother her roommate. Unbeatable little lights and make great gifts.

  I received this light for Christmas from my hubby, and I love it. It's light enough to put on a book and still hold it up in bed. I have clipped it to my robe when I am polishing my nails, and used it inside a cabinet to look for something way in the back. Great little light and soooo bright!

  This is the third or fourth booklight I've purchased, and the only one that really works!! The flex allows you to cast the perfect angle with the light, and the clamp allows you to hook it onto the front or back cover of the book, eliminating the problem that some booklights have with a "paperclip" type device, requiring you to hook it to the page you are reading, then move it as you turn the page. Plus, this thing works! None of the others I've purchased in the past have been useful, in my opinion, until now. If you are going to buy any booklight, get this one!

  The XtraFlex2 LED book light is light years (no pun intended) better than the old itty-bitty-type lights that used incandescent bulbs.
  
  The XtraFlex2 gets great battery life, unlike the the itty-bittys, which I found went through batteries like crazy. Of course, the LED "bulbs" don't burn out like the itty-bitty blubs (and the XtraFlex2 doesn't heat up from its bulbs, either). The XtraFlex2's integrated battery pack is also great; no getting tangled up in a cord while you're in bed.
  
  I stumbled on the XtraFlex2 at my local Borders. They had a bunch of them in a display when the final Harry Potter book was published (presumably figuring that a lot of kids, little and big, were going to be doing a lot of reading in bed...). The leftovers were sold at half price, a real bargain. I bought one, tried it out, loved it, and went back to buy several more for use as gifts (and spares).

  I was completely surprised by how truly superb this light is. I read the other reviews and that is what prompted my purchase, so I just had to submit my own review to say you really can't go wrong with this light. I love the flexible arm style, too!

  I've tried so many of these, and the Mighty Bright is the best. No shadows. Doesn't light up the entire room. Clips onto any book or magazine without leaving a mark. Remarkably agile -- bends in any position. Also perfect as a tiny flashlight away from home. It's the best.

  I bought this little light for my wife. She's read in bed for the past 25 years and has always used some type of portable light. This is about the 10th one she's had. She likes it! She says its nice and bright and easy to clip to the book. We haven't had it too long so we'll see about the longevity but up to now; I'm out of the doghouse! Woof!

  The good: Very flexible, easy to adjust, light weight and long battery life.
  
  The Bad: I feel like I'm constantly moving the light so the area I am reading is light enough. I find myself adjusting the light every 1/2 page for hard cover books and once for each page with paperbacks. Maybe I'm just not use to the type of light the LED's give off. I am thinking of getting another one of these lights and having one clipped to each cover in hopes I have less adjusting to do.

  Maybe mine is defective, but you need night vision goggles to read with this book light - provides a softy hazy glow only. I bought this having read previous reviews and was sorely disappointed - one of the worst book lights I've ever had!
  
  
• Light, flexible, useful, and even cute.

  I ordered this light after seeing it recommended on another retail site. A few people mentioned in reviews that it can tend to be heavy, but as someone with moderate arthritis, carpal tunnel, and a physical disability that effects my grip, I find it quite manageable. I barely notice it, honestly.
  
  I will admit that it's a good thing this light has a flexible stem, as you will find yourself needing to move it to illuminate each page. However, it's again quite light and it will only take one finger to do this most of the time. This isn't ideal for everyone, obviously, depending on level of mobility in your hands. However, if something like that is not a concern this light can be great for you. I was really impressed with just how easy it is to angle the light.
  
  I also appreciate that the clip-on mechanism, used with some trepidation on the spine and pages of my book, was firm and remained in place but did not in any way harm the book. It's a very well-designed clip, and not only will it go on your book if you want, but you can also stand it up on a surface. That's something many clip-on lights cannot boast.
  
  The light on your text will have a blue tint. It was odd at first, but since I love this light I am planning to get used to it!

  I bought this light so that I could read in bed and not wake up my husband. It works wonderfully. Lights up the pages perfectly without
  disturbing hubby. The flex neck is great. I highly recommend this light.

  This is a neat little product. When watching TV, my wife likes the lights down low; however, I like to tune out the TV and read. With this little light, I can read without bothering her. Two settings. However, I always use the lower or dimmer setting which is easily adequate.
