Overpriced, underplayed with By A2KNCFR1U9RFVY on 2007-11-04
This is THE toy that my kindergarten-age daughter wanted for her birthday this year. It was a good lesson in how commercials work for her. The pony was not as fun as TV made it look. She was very excited to open the package, but this toy was only played with the first day and has sat in her toy box ever since. Definitely not worth the money.
3 YEAR OLD LOVES IT!!!!!!!! By A2HURPMIL6VMB7 on 2007-11-16
I bought this for my 3 year old. She just LOVES horses and has a couple of different my little pony's... I actually wanted to buy her the pinkie horse but chose this one instead. She just adores it!! She plays mommy to her horse and tucks her in.. I also have a 5 year old & when I asked her about buying it for her sister she got excited and wanted one too. My 5 year old likes puppies & I just new that it would just sit there. I think this toy is perfect for the 3 year old pony lover!!
Pony Love By A5BJMAHZWGJ7N on 2007-12-23
My 4 year old loves this pony. The carrier is a great touch, since that's the preferred method in our house to carry our 'babies'. The kicking legs is adorable, and she just loves the way it calls her Mommy. She won't go any where without her Skywishes, and plays with her for hours. I only wish that they would make the same thing with the Dragon friend for my son, since at 2 he's just as enamored with a moving talking pony.
Six year old granddaughter loved it! By A28I51U4FRGL77 on 2007-12-29
My wife and I bought the Pink Pony for our granddaughter for her sixth birthday. She absolutely loved it and never put it down. As we were saying our goodbyes, she hugged her Grandma and said "Grandma, of all my presents, I like my Pink Pony the best". I think we definitely made the right choice. She sure thought so.
disappointing purchase By A1FPJSDYQ471ST on 2008-01-01
it was a cute idea but needs some work. it is not soft nor cuddly. but my biggest complaint is that it does not say more than three things although it claims to speak around twenty... my kids pushed the button a couple times and walked away... it is too stiff for them to enjoy posing or hugging like a doll. i have three kids all young and none of them care for it. oh, well.
- Expensive pony that doesn't do much
     By A3A5K77PO2J3AL on 2008-01-02
My daughter (3 1/2) wanted this for Christmas after seeing it advertised. It only has a couple of things that it says, and will move it's legs around like a baby being tickled. She does love that the play mat becomes a backpack so she can tote her pony around, but for almost $50 I expected this toy to do more. Better to get two or three non-mechanical ponies for a fraction of the cost.
- My 5 Year Old Enjoys This Toy!
     By A32U5F3BYVM4NA on 2008-01-11
My daughter got this for her 5th Birthday and was so excited because she'd seen the commercials for it and really wanted it. It wasn't quite as exciting as the commercials made it look, but she does like it. The other day, we bought another pony, Rainbow Dash (the blue one) to go with this and that has made it a lot funner because now she has tea parties with both of them and pretends they are her twins, or that they are brother and sister and she has them play together. So, it has been fun with just one, but was even more fun when we got the second one.
- My daughters FAVORITE gift, 4yo
     By A38GJX2ULM3VUC on 2007-12-25
My daughter got this for christmas and absolutely LOVES IT! Honestly it doesn't even do much, but it says lots of things and wiggles its arms and legs and she just thinks its the best thing ever... I would never have guessed it would be her favorite toy (only got it because it was on clearance for nine dollars)... very cute!
- Grandmother's review of Play n Carry Skywishes Pony
     By A391HDW8E4WDE3 on 2007-12-27
I bought this as a Christmas present for our almost 3 year old granddaughter and as soon as she unwrapped it she couldn't wait to get it out of the box and into it's backpack so she could carry it around for the rest of the afternoon! It seemed to be a really big hit with her. The only thing her parents commented on was that the pony's voice was alittle strange sounding to them. But our grandaughter was really enjoying playing with it. Definitely a winner for her age group. My Little Pony Play-N-Carry Skywishes Pony
- Great for kids with baby siblings
     By A2YD21458D5A1V on 2007-12-27
My six year old wanted this. She has the Pinkie Pie pony and loves it. So I purchased this one for her and also for my two year old niece. They both love it. My niece has a new baby at her house and now she has her own baby to take care of. It's really cute! She talks when you squeeze her foot and has her own carrier so your little one can carry her on her back.
- my 2yr old niece LOVES it!
     By AGACIOSPLGPP6 on 2007-12-27
I got this for her for Christmas and she won't put it down. I was worried because she is a tough girl and is rough so I thought she may beat on it, but she didn't she loved it. She took it everywhere and to bed with her.
It talks and kicks it's feet. Easily converts to carrier.
- Daughter had to have it
     By AG71XMQGQ2UTJ on 2007-12-29
I was not going to get this for my 5 yr old daughter for Christmas but Amazon had it for a bargin price and I took a chance. She loves it! The doll is just the right size to hold. She loves the backpack and play area. I think the doll knows when its on its back or sitting up and says things accordingly. You must move the switch located in the diaper to change the talking feature to play with me mode. Otherwise it just keeps asking you to take her home with you.
My only complaint is that the doll is very loud. I normally place a piece of tape over the speaker to solve this problem but on this doll the speaker is inaccessable. Short of cutting it open.

Ordered 2 of these for my twin 3 year old granddaughters for Christmas. This was one of their favorite presents. Great gift, lots of fun for the little ones, and interaction with the talking pony was so much fun for them. Highly recommend this toy.
- love it!
     By A3L5IYJFJLQHCG on 2007-12-29
I got two of these for two different girls...and both girls loved them both were under the age of 8. Very cute...very cute sayings...cute how legs move...LOUD though only complaint...I will be looking to see if I can put a piece of tape over the speaker! HA! Just to quiet it down a little. Worth it though...both girls carried it around and talked to it...and took care of it like it was their little baby. VERY CUTE to watch. The education part I talk about is...learning how to take care of something besides themselves etc.
- My 4yr old loves it
     By A1U7FE2J6YJY5Y on 2007-12-29
I personally think this is a waste of money, but my 4yr old can't get enough of it. She wants to take it everywhere she goes. I guess with alot of imagination anything could be great. Out of all of the very expensive gifts she got for Christmas she puts this one at the top. I hope all kids get as much out of this as she does.
- Great toy for a 3 year old girl
     By A2BJVSHXM137RM on 2007-12-29
This toy is way nicer than the pictures or the ads we have seen about it. She insisted on this and it was the main thing she wanted for Christmas. we have been pleasantly surprised with it, works great, and really cute.
- Surprised by this toy
     By AQWRG9EDH3864 on 2007-12-30
My daughter surprised us with this item at the last minute on her wish list. I didn't think it looked like much, but for the cheap price amazon was offering right before Christmas, I figured we'd get it anyway. Well, she LOVES it and I have to agree that it really is cute. The backpack straps sometimes come undone, but nothing frustrating.
- My 3 & 4 year olds Love it!
     By A2JT9PEEEBZKET on 2007-12-31
I decided to buy this when it was on at an AMAZING sale price on amazon before Christmas. I bought 2, because at that price (ahem, $9.00 each), my kids wouldn't have to fight over it if it was a big hit. I can't tell you how big a hit it was. Skywishes has to go with us everywhere. She (he?) has been to the grocery, grandma's, the swimming pool and we haven't even had her for a week yet! Every night, my girls sleep with the pony. I've learned to turn her off before bed, otherwise she'll talk all night.
I didn't give it five stars because of a few minor things. The "backpack" doesn't lay flat without the pony laying on it. This seems to frustrate my kids. Secondly, its hard for my girls to get her into the "harness" on the backpack. Lastly, the velcro on the diaper sticks to the velcro on the backpack, creating another frustration.
Oddly, the phrases and voice of the pony haven't annoyed me....yet. If this goes on an amazing sale (like the one I found it on), I'd buy it!
- This pony scares my 4 year old.
     By A2PUDRFILCZXH6 on 2008-01-09
This pony scares my daughter. Although it moves it arms and legs properly when sitting up, it makes terrible screeching sounds and jerking movements when it it laying on it's back. Not at all what I expected (OR what the commercial portrayed). In addition, this pony cost $26.00 at our store... far too much to only be played with twice.
- Cute but annoying
     By A1UI9IQ38IYOTO on 2008-01-14
This was a Christmas present for a 6 year old, who was delighted to receive it. Much to my surprise once the toy is taken out of demo mode it doesn't want to stop talking! I assumed you got one phrase for each squeeze of the foot, but it actually continues rattling off phrases for about 60 seconds until it finally says "I need a nap" and quiets down until someone squeezes it's hoof again. After the initial newness wore off (a day or two) it's been on off mode and my daughter hasn't played with it much. It's also really difficult to get it in and out of the backpack and once you do the backpack straps don't hold well (it fell off my daughter 3 times before she decided it was easier to just cradle it in her arms). This may be better for a toddler.
- Three-year-olds love it!
     By A21CI4JPGN50PL on 2008-01-18
We bought two of these toys for our three-year-old nieces after seeing it at a large retail store for a much higher price. The girls loved them! Both their mothers told us how much the girls liked the toys and that they played with them often. Great value for adorable toy!
- She's STILL playing with it!
     By A11RCW9GHJID1F on 2008-01-18
I bought this as a Christmas present for my 3 year old daughter and for my friend's 2 year old daughter. Both girls love this and play with it constantly. My daughter loves that the pony calls her "Mommy" and carries it around everywhere in the little backpack. All in all, a good entertaining toy for a little girl! :)
- baby pony fun
     By A3QRAEH2J80X6W on 2008-01-22
my daughter loves this. i have to admit, it's pretty cute. it works well, doesn't make a lot of extra noises. great value for the cost!
- Cute and fun for your little one
     By A2KY93PYSLWJ6E on 2008-02-05
This is a really cute toy, but can get a bit annoying, it doesnt seem to want to shut off and hear it talking during the night lol.. i find myself opening the back of it to get to the battery pack to shut it off. Other than that my girls love it, I dont think I would pay 29.99 like i seen it priced in stores, but i got this for 70% off here on amazon around christmas, well worth it!
- My daughter barely even glanced at it
     By A2LBGX3GUS2S1K on 2008-05-22
My daughter and niece were both given this toy. Neither seems to like it for anything. My niece sometimes plays with the backpack as does my daughter but other then that it sits in the closet......ALL THE TIME!!!
