• Protects your laptop from spills!

  The main reason I ordered the CushTop is because of the way my previous laptop met its demise: by a spilled glass of water on the desk flowing under it.
  
  With the CushTop, I feel like I have a very affordable insurance policy against this accident EVER happening again! Beverages and food really can't spill onto/under my laptop now, AND it's at a great height for viewing. The icing on the cake is that it's also very comfortable to use on my lap; no more overheated legs!
  
  This provides a nice, firm support at just the right angle -- it's not "floppy" or soft foam or anything that might make it feel as though the computer would fall off (also, the rubber grips on the laptop itself hold it in place).
  
  Unlike other reviewers, I have no trouble fitting my cords and the charger box thing on the cord into the center opening....perhaps some laptops have bigger chargers? (I have a Toshiba Satellite U305 13.3") I don't think a mouse would fit in there, though...maybe an ACTUAL mouse would, but it might chew up the cords. ;-)
  
  In summary...LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Buy it, you won't regret it -- especially if you can't help but keep a beverage next to your laptop!

  The CushTop is a well-made item. However, it is unnecessarily large--both width and height. As a result, my dog can't lie beside me and, more importantly, the keyboard is at too high a level unless you sit with your thighs slanting downward (which I don't in my La-Z-Boy). The storage space is essentially useless: I'd have to force my Dell recharger into it and it's not wide enough to hold 8-1/2 x 11 papers. The hard top is a good idea; I can use it to do Sudoku or crossword puzzles. But because the item is (unnecessarily) reversible for different width computers, the part that touches your thighs is too hard. In fact, calling it a "cushion" is misleading; it is just a firm insulator. Overall, I like using a folded-up bath towel better.

  Honestly, I didn't even know these things existed! I was visiting my son and noticed my daughter-in-law using one of these and immediately logged on to Amazon and ordered one for myself! I got it today and I've been using it all day long. For once my lap is not getting uncomfortably warm from hosting my laptop or sweaty from the blanket I usually have to rest it on to keep from getting burned. Plus the stablity is fantastic and it's easy to position it well even when using my laptop in my recliner. The bottom of my laptop is not nearly as hot as it usually is so I have to conclude that this thing actually does absorb and disperse the heat. This product has made me a very happy camper, considering how much time I spend with a laptop actually in my lap!

  I needed something that would fit level in my lap while I typed papers and did work on my computer.. A couch cushion/pillow wasn't doing the trick. This cushtop keeps my legs cool and my computer upright. I can sit on my bed for hours and not worry about feeling uncomfortable.. I would highly recommend to anyone who spends a lot of time on the computer but doesn't like to always sit at a desk.. Great product!!

  My MacBook Pro runs too hot to put on my lap, but since I've gotten the CushTop I can hang out on the couch and use my notebook while watching TV. The cushion is a good height that doesn't place strain on my wrists. Plus, it's a nice neutral color so that I can stick it next to the couch and it looks like a part of the furniture. Highly recommended.

  This product is perfect for my needs. It's soft enough to be comfortable on my lap (either side of the stand), but firm enough to type on without the laptop moving around. It is just the right height and on just the right slant as well. Also, the laptop isn't smothered, so it doesn't overheat while it's on the stand. The price is great too. Why should I pay all that money (upwards from $100) for another type of stand, when this one is all I really need? It serves the purpose just as well as the expensive type, if not better because of the cushioning. I think it deserves an excellent 5 star rating! I am quite happy with it.
  
  
• Looks good but makes a poor cooling pad

  Pros: soft surface yet very firm. I like how it works with both 15.4" and 17" notebooks. Great positioning for using while sitting in bed or on the couch.
  Cons: Does not allow your notebook to breathe, there is zero room between the top surface and the bottom of the notebook. Belkin claims that the fabric allows for air to move freely but I have had my notebook shut down 3 times due to overheating, and that's no bueno!
  
  This is a poor solution for cooling, if you have a notebook that tends to run hot anyway due to the way you use your notebook, burning DVD's, downloading, copying files, severe multitasking and maybe harware(Dual core, 4 gigs memory)find another solution.
  I ended up buying an Antec cooler (looks like a silver X) and I set it under the Belkin which makes it a little taller than it was before but like I said the lift and angle of the Belkin is really nice.

  I absolutely love this thing. It is the perfect height, doesn't put any strain on your back. My Macbook gets very hot at times, and this was salvation for my poor legs. Very affordable, cool colours, washable cover.....5 stars! If you are debating buying this, stop that now and GET IT. You won't regret it.

  This cushtop makes it easier to use my laptop on any other location that isn't a desk. I have a 14.1 inch laptop and it is the perfect size. Much better than propping my laptop on a pillow as the pillow would not allow for good ventilation. Great buy and cheaper than buying at a retail store.

  This keeps your lap cool and most importantly will keep your laptop cool. Performs better than the fan coolers that suck energy from your USB ports. It isn't "cush" it is a firmer foam. I have a 17 inch screen and I use it, and on the other side our 14 inch screen will fit on it too. Great buy

  Overall it's a nice product. Nice materials and construction. My only issue is that the opening, which they say can be used to store your power supply, mouse, and other objects, is a little tight for my accessories. My power supply just squeezes in, which doesn't leave room for air to circulate. My mouse, an Apple Mighty mouse, doesn't fit without making me feel like it'll break. Other mice might be fine. Can also function as a dinner tray.

  The CushTop is a great laptop stand. The fabric keeps the computer from slipping and is an attractive color. The inside pocket is a great place to stash stuff, such as USB cables, etc. It's sturdy and functional and just what I needed.

  The CushTop Notebook Stand is a great product. I started my search looking for a cooling fan laptop stand. After reading the reviews of those products, I came upon this Belkin product. My wife loves it and we've even recommended it to our friends with notebooks. If you try it, we think you'll like it.

  This thing is saving my legs AND my laptop from overheating while I work from home. It's attractive and affordable and the perfect solution for somebody who works on a laptop a lot but doesn't want to sit at a desk all day.
  The laptop stays securely on the stand and makes the laptop easy to move around, as well.
  The only drawback is that the laptop does get propped up a little higher than I'd like, but overall it's fabulous.

  I like it, but I did needed to buy an Antec USB-Powered Notebook Cooler to place on top of it. It is stable, comfortable well-made which makes it easy to transport my computer from place to place in my home. Great stable surface when working with a my computer in my lap. Too big for mobile everyday use away from my home, however I will probably take it with me on most extended trips. I just don't see how it can cool a computer since it covers the bottom of my computer vents and restricts air flow. My computer got warmer.

  The product is not bulky at all. It's not too high or to low when placing it on your lap. It's made of good material, so it doesn't itch or feel like it will make you hot when using it for a long while. I love the colors. It goes with our home decor so it's not obtrusive. I also like that fact it's small enough to store.

  Almost ordered this from the Skymall magazine when flying home from a vacation and would have paid a lot more. This is great to keep the laptop and your lap a lot cooler. It keeps your neck in a much better position when using the laptop for extended periods, too. I love mine and never use the laptop without it.
  
  
• Great Laptop Desk for the Bedroom

  I was looking for a portable laptop desk to use in the bedroom. I had a flat laptop portable desk with a cushy bottom. While it was okay, the heat from the laptop was warping the top, I saw this stand at Sam's Club and hunted high and low in the store to find it, but found out it only came in a bundle with a laptop. My next stop, of course, was Amazon. Found out the product came in several different colors and while brown wasn't my first choice is was the least expensive. Now that I have used the desk, I love it. The angle is great, the laptop doesn't slip down, the material used for the desk absorbs the heat from the laptop and seems to allow it to run cooler to the point I have starting using the portable desk on my real desk.
  
  The only downside to the product is the bottom is a little stiff which makes sitting it on your lap uncomfortable if used for long periods of time. But I still like the product enough that I am going to buy more for all of my family's laptops.

  This is a great product! It is a sturdy pad or "cushion" that allows you to use your laptop while on the couch without heating up your legs (or crotch).
  
  It is well made, attractive, and an excellent design. The hollow center allows one to manage cables and it also functions as handles so you can securely move the open laptop and pad at the same time.
  
  The pad is reversible so it accommodates 15" laptops or flips over for 17". One side is level and the other is angled so it gives the user additional options.
  
  I bought this at a store so I was able check it out first. Amazon's price is $10 cheaper than what I paid. If you've been using books, pillows off your couch, etc. this pad is definitely worth it!

  After much hesitation whether the Belkin CushTop will properly ventilate my new laptop computer and reading other people's comments to ensure it does the job it said it does, I ordered it on Amazon.com. And I'm happy to report it works really well.
  
  The surface of the CushTop is firm and so it allows that ventilation gap for you laptop's heatsink and fan to operate properly. It offers very good height for typing and viewing the screen when you have it on your lap sitting on the floor or on the sofa, which is where I use my laptop.
  
  All in all, I liked it so much, I got one for each of my two siblings for Christmas.

  After purchasing a laptop and attempting to use it while sitting in a recliner I realized that I needed something to keep my legs from scorching. I actually purchased this from a local retailer without reading the reviews. What a great purchase!! It works so well. It keeps my legs and computer cool and it is the perfect height. • What a simple & obvious solution!!!

  When I got my laptop it was suggested to me that I get a cooling pad. I'd also realized that I needed something that would help elevate my laptop. The solution was this pad!
  It's sturdy, lightweight, I can rest on it if using it on a table.
  I like that you can flip it in different ways to help accommodate whatever position you need at that time. If I want it to tilt higher in the front because I'm using it while sitting on the bed, I flip it backwards. It doesn't tire out my legs if I decide to rest it on there. I like the little compartment in the center for my AC adapter or for my external hard drive and help keep it out of the way.
