comfortable. By AK4HKI46S49NA on 2008-06-21
feels good on me. good fit and comfortable. no complaint. some reviewers mention the thinness of these t-shirts, i actually don't mind. in this time of rampant inflation & escalating gas prices, i think the price is reasonably fair. but you may differ.
All right by me !!! By A2R6RA8FRBS608 on 2007-08-02
These Fruit of the Loom classic crew neck T shirts are very comfortable; the smooth, 100% cotton fabric will be comfortable the very first time you wear them. Moreover, the back inside of the shirt has no tag that could feel scratchy on the lower part of your neck. The information that used to be on the tag is now imprinted onto the rear inside of the shirt.
In addition, the strong neckband makes the garment last longer then ever! The shirts even come five to a pack for added value--great!
Just a few extra words of advice based on my experience: I would wash these before wearing them. Sometimes the shirts come out of the plastic bag package with a very, very slight funky smell that must occur because they were packed the way they were. They may also shrink a little during their first wash, so keep that in mind if you want a rather loose fitting T shirt--you may want to order one size up. In addition, check both the sizing chart above on the webpage and the "pricing and availability" chart to make sure that you choose the right size for you. I would also wash these T shirts with similar colors to minimize the chances of any colors bleeding onto these T shirts during the wash cycle. If you dry these shirts in a clothes dryer, set the dryer on "low" temperature.
Overall, these long lasting T shirts by Fruit of the Loom make for great underwear; they could be worn outside but their real purpose is underwear for gentlemen. These shirts last forever, especially with the proper care. Get some and wear them in good health!
Okay Shirts By A321GFVMF8K6P on 2007-09-06
These shirts are okay, I would have preferred them to be a bit thicker. My shirts from Kirkland (Costco) are thicker and better.
Not the same quality as in stores - too thin By A7KEJYG73PCKS on 2007-09-18
We've bought Fruit of the Loom tees for years at local retailers. We trusted the brand since we've had such good experience with them. So we decided to try buying oline.
These t-shirts were thinner than the ones in the store, almost see-through. That was disappointing, and it's not worth returning the item so we are pretty much stuck with them.
Unless there was some way to guarantee the same quality as in the local stores, I think we'll stick with buying these locally where you can feel the material.
Um, They Are T-Shirts... By A2D32UDQYHL593 on 2007-08-05
That said, they are good quality at a good price - better than at retail outlets. The neck does not stretch out (even after multiple washings), and they are soft and tagless. A great basic buy! Only four stars because they are t-shirts - let's not get crazy...
- Disappointing Later: Changed my mind
     By A389N45JKREZ0A on 2007-12-07
The large size is generous. The material is about
the thickness of a tissue. the shirt on the model is
of a higher quality then the actual (in hand) product.
I used to trust Fruit of the Loom, but their quality
has been lowered to poor. I imagine it's from the
poor quality fabric they buy. the actual fabrication
(sewing) is good, it's just so flimsy.
NEW REVIEW: It's now 9/1/08 and these T-shirts have been washed many times. The more they are washed, the softer
they get. I'm wearing one now and I love it.
- Delightful Undershirts
     By A3PEZEJGGDGZ1Q on 2008-01-08
Truly, there are no comfier undershirts than these - they are the Cadillacs of Undershirts. I stress the term undershirt, for their thinness hinders their ability to be worn without a garment over them. As such, expect to find yourself a bit nippy of you decide to walk around town in nothing but one of these on your back. They are splendid for the price and the quality is what one would expect from Fruit of the Loom.
- Disappointed
     By A2GDD4M0DXELW4 on 2008-02-08
The T-shirts were so thin, you could almost see through them! These were purchased for a Christmas present. I had to run out (3 days before Christmas) and buy new ones that didn't look so cheap! The only good thing I can say is they were delivered early enough that I had time to replace them!
- Good as underwear
     By A1PUD2Z08TUWPH on 2008-04-22
Functional. Thin fabric - but I found this as a plus: helps keep you cool during hot days. Would not wear as a stand alone T.
- Very thin -- not so impressive
     By A2G6QDOLUOJOCL on 2008-05-22
I wear undershirts nearly every workday, so I've gone through quite a bit. I have purchase Fruit of the Loom a few times at my local Wal-Mart or Target, and they serve me well enough for the small amount I spend on them.
I found them on Amazon on a great Buy One Get One Free deal. I always need undershirts, so I tought, "why not?"
Well, I love a great bargain, but you get what you pay for. I have compared these to the Hanes shirts in my undershirt collection, and I have noticed that the Fruit of the Loom variety seems remarkably thinner and wears out considerably faster. I also notice they get that dingy, dull "worn" look much faster than other undershirts I've worn in the past.
Pass this one by.
