Customer Reviews

  • The least likely to leak of the diapers we tried.

    By A1HFT68GJ42LTM on 2006-09-10
I heard from other parents and also from reading reviews that the Pampers swaddlers were great diapers.

Well, after trying out Huggies, Target brand, and Pampers, my wife and I really like Pampers the best. Why?

Hey, when you're holding the baby, you don't want to suddenly feel wetness coming through on those newly washed clothes. I found it pretty annoying to have to change the diapers, toss the clothes in the laundry, and wash the baby with the other brands, when I should have been playing with the baby. I think the Huggies did a fine job provided that you changed the diapers frequently to keep the absorbancy intact. In the end, it was worth paying a little extra $ to get less leaks. The one thing that Huggies did a better job of was the diapers seemed to be less perfumy. Pampers seem to have more of the "baby/talcum smell".

  • Rookie Dad Loves the Swaddlers

    By A2OLZC1MRW7S95 on 2006-08-29
I'm a 1st time dad and was pleased to see our hospital (huge, big-city hospital that delivers 4000 babies a year) using Pampers Swaddlers for newborns. I had never changed a diaper so I had the nurse give me detailed instructions. She said the swaddlers are the best of breed - especially for newborns.

Knock on wood, but we have yet to have an infamous Blow-Out, and we have had lots of full diapers. No leaks either.

Now if Amazon would just figure out how to keep these in stock....

  • THE BEST DIAPERS!

    By ASIRHRCW8LSC7 on 2007-02-01
These are the best diapers. My newborn was almost 10 lbs. at birth and newborn diapers were too tiny and leaked every single time he wet his diaper. I moved to the next size up in Huggies and continued to have the same problem. My pediatrician recommended Pampers Swaddlers so I tried them and am SO pleased. They are a little more expensive than Huggies and Luvs, BUT, I save money in the long run because the diapers don't leak, hence his clothes don't get soiled, and I don't have to do the baby's laundry that often. I'm not going back to any other diaper!

  • Very good fit BUT BEWARE of MESH LINER!!

    By AFCVYAGC69UGU on 2007-03-01
These diapers do fit quite well, however, BEWARE of the mesh liner-- it can stick to the baby's bum and cause significant abrasions! This happened to my newborn son--the mesh stuck to his rear and when we pulled it off (gently) it left an oozing sore. My doctor was just appalled and is warning others about this. We now buy these diapers (only because no other fits our son so well) and tear out the mesh lining. It's a bit ridiculous but worth it at this point.

  • great diapers

    By AJUWVX4A064A0 on 2006-05-26
Pampers makes great diapers for small babies. These seem to fit much better than the Huggies - the tabs are stronger and the diaper is longer. These reviews are for the product, not the service Amazon supplies or availability, as the previous reviewer has incorrectly assumed.

  • How long should a customer have to wait?
    By A18POSL7HH51QW on 2006-05-29
I ordered these on May 9th and they have still not shown up. My expected delivery date was just pushed back another week to June 1-8. If Amazon is going to sell diapers they should have them in stock and not make people wait three weeks for them... our baby will have outgrown these by the time they get here!

  • Never had this problem but this one.
    By AO4B51XBNWSZL on 2006-05-30
This product is awesome BUT Amazon's not even shipping the item I ordered 5 weeks ago and keep pushing the shipping date out. I would consider this item as a time sensitive item as baby grows. I hope I don't receive this item when my baby's in high school.

  • Never had a leak.
    By A3CHTFQTKIRRTC on 2006-06-27
These are plain and simply the best diapers on the market. I can't say nearly as much for regular Pampers, Huggies, or even Luvs. We tried every brand available when my son was born a size preemie - nothing would fit on him, and everything leaked! We had our hospital guests running out for us to find us preemie onsies, sleepers, and diapers. Then we finally decided to try these, and they still fit him, no matter what he's growing like at the time. They're super stretchy and the softest diaper I've felt. Nothing scratchy touching the baby, and since they stretch and fit comfortably snug no matter what, you never have a pile of left over diapers that don't fit him anymore, when they go up to a new size. They fit till the end, and they overlap each other in size rage so there are no weird periods of growth when he's an 'in-between' size. They are also SUPER absorbant. We've changed more than one leak from Huggies, (regular) Pampers, and Luvs and most of them were all from 'weird angle!' accidents and the diapers were barely wet. With Swaddlers you go to change the diaper and it's as heavy as a softball and you're just flabberghasted. They pull everything away from his skin, and are just plain and simple = wonderful.

  • Great Diapers
    By A3JJ4WOS5ST2JR on 2006-07-23
These are great diapers. They stay in place, are very absorbent, and do not permit leaks.

  • LOVE them
    By A3HK2FH7HJEGMD on 2006-08-07
These are our favorite out of Huggies, Target, and Luvs. They fit so much better and don't leak nearly as often.. haven't leaked yet actually unless you need a bigger size. Good indicator!

  • Product is good but the shipping is not
    By A1F7OBGU23TKB on 2006-05-26
I'll probaby get the stage 1 diapers that was ordered on Apr 30 by June 6th (might get extended). Hope I get it before my baby outgrows the size!!!!

  • THE BEST!!!!!
    By A2LVFPKIC97LDA on 2006-07-03
Just had to had my 2 cents here about this diaper. My 4 month old son has been in the swaddlers since his premature birth and he truly has not had one single diaper leak yet! He is my 3rd child and once again, I have found myself a true Pampers fan!

I agree with the other reviewer that noted how well these diapers fit. All 3 of my children have been different weights and body frames, yet Pampers has been the best fit for all of them!

    I Love them!

  • Savior for a Preemie
    By AGNR3IYCPUNLQ on 2006-07-09
My daughter is a preemie and spent the first two and a half weeks of her life in the NICU. The nurses always had bags of Pamper's Preemie sized diapers and that's what was always put on her. They were great. When we were preparing to have her home with us we went searching for preemie sized diapers and could only find Huggies Preemies, so we bought several bags. They leaked SO BAD! Every time I'd pick her up from her bed, her bottom side felt wet and there was a small stain on the sheet. :(

None of my local retail stores carried the pampers preemie diapers, but I did see a bag of Newborn sized ones and thought I'd give them a shot.

They were a very tiny bit bigger, but it didn't matter at all. They fit wonderfully and she didn't have anymore leaks. From only 3lbs13oz till she now when she's just hit a little over 7lbs these have worked the best for my daughter. They've begun to get a little snug but they still fit her and I still haven't gotten a single leak from them (even when she had a bad bought of diarrhea a little over a week ago!)

I still have a whole bag of untouched huggies that I'll probably never use. Oh well.

These are so much more reliable.

  • great for newborns, but too pricey
    By A2MNMQ0CPHWM3A on 2006-07-20
These diapers are great for newborns. My daughter was small and no other newborn diapers would fit quite right. After she got up to about 9 or 10lbs we started using cheaper brands. We found that Luvs, Target brand, and Babiesrus supreme diapers are as good or better, and much cheaper. Bottomline pampers are great, but there are cheaper diapers that are just as good.

  • Not as good as you would think
    By A2HTE0ZPNRPIU3 on 2006-11-04
Although these diapers have a great absorbent lining, the mesh that is used to make this lining sticks to the infant's bottom. With my son it cause red irritation. I had to discontinue these immediately... I switched to LUVS and highly recommend them.

  • Great with discounts
    By A37WIJFAZCVZUU on 2007-01-15
Pampers Swaddlers are good. We use them mainly during the day. For the night we prefer Pampers Baby Dry, they absorb better and are also cheaper.

We find buying the diapers online cheaper than in Sams Club, when Amazon runs a discount. Last time we bought $100 plus through Amazon and got $30 off. With the regular $10 off $50 coupon prices in both places are the same. Ofcourse Amazon has one advantage that all sizes are available. The Sams Club we go to only has one or two.

Hope we see the $30 off $100 soon...

  • Daipers good, Amazon Bad
    By ACWVS518DQ35F on 2006-05-24
I ordered these #2 Swaddlers on May 4th. Delivery was estimated on May 19th with the supersaver shipping (free). I was just notified today, May 24, that they won't be shipped until late July. I cancelled the order, I don't know for sure that they will even fit my baby in August! Amazon needs to be realistic about what products they offer if they can't be responsive about delivering them. I had ordered another product in early april. After 6 weeks, they sent me a message saying that they 'thought' they could get the item for me but have determined that they can't. This site is hit and miss.. mostly miss.

  • the best diapers
    By A2D502LT1KQCYR on 2006-06-29
I had used another brand of diapers and ended up changing sheets every morning because of the serious leaking. It was awful, so I switched to these and love them. Definitely no leaking whatsoever, so I will be using pampers from now on.

  • Best thing to happen to diapers since they became disposable
    By ACYH09RP6KKHC on 2007-04-07
Pamper swaddlers are a great product for a diaper, but I have to say the best thing is that Amazon offers this product as a subscription item, and at a lower price than if you just bought the one case. Every parent should have a subscription to diapers and wipes, they come every 30,60, or 90 days. The only drawback is that when its time to change sizes you cant just go change the size you have to cancel the subscription and start a new one for the new size. Otherwise, great diaper great price!

  • Great Diapers
    By A1NC941MM18W6C on 2007-04-12
These diapers are great if you can afford them! The price increases have been significant.

  • Bad Price
    By A439FFQ4NO3OB on 2007-05-04
We love the diapers and have used them with all of my three children. However... the price here is a little high. You can get the same size box at Babies R Us for $35 plus they send you $5 off coupons in the mail... plus you can still use a manufacture coupon.

  • Gave my baby a bad diaper rash
    By A30RCYJTRHS325 on 2007-05-30
I had the same problem as Lindsay. My baby developed a very bad diaper rash due to the far from soft inner mesh of the size 2 diapers. What seemed unusual is that I had been using the new born and one sizes without any problem, so I tried contacting the manufacturer to see if they had reports of the same problem from other parents, but it was impossible. Recordings and spaces to leave an e-mail message of no more than 100 words was all I got. On top of bad quality, bad customer service? No, thanks. So I switched to Huggies Supreme Comfort Fit and we are all happy now.

  • 5 stars for Swaddlers and Amazon's delievry
    By A7LKA1Q4OIIJ0 on 2006-06-07
I would only use Swaddlers for my newborn - they are definitely the softest & most comfortable for him. I also received this item quickly from Amazon - order date of May 29, delivery on June 6!

  • Spend a bit to save baby's clothes!
    By A21XLJPJFLYAEF on 2006-11-10
I am always trying to get the best value for my dollar so at first I only bought whatever brand of diapers I had a coupon for. These are the only ones that never leaked. Also, I wanted to use up all the luvs and huggies I got for gifts but I wish I had just spent the money for these. I ruined so many outfits and had to do the full poopy dipe change (sheets, blankets, etc.) in the middle of the night so many times with him in other diapers. For a while anyone who was holding him would panic if they heard or smelled anything because those other diapers wouldn't hold his forceful breastfed pooh. These only leak occassionally. I guess no diaper is perfect. Also, the mesh is AMAZING. His butt is almost CLEAN after a blowout. So, he has never had diaper rash. You wont have to worry about your baby sitting in "flesh eating acid", as we jokingly refer to baby pooh as, if you cant change it the seconds after they go. I cant believe I am reviewing a diaper, but we are so pleased with these.

  • Top Quality Diaper!
    By A2JDGHI6DBHRO6 on 2007-01-24
These diapers perform very well. My newborn was having occasional diaper leaks w/the various brands of diapers we were trying. I received a sample of the Swaddlers in the mail and I was impressed by the extra elasticity on the sides. With other diapers I felt that I needed to put them on tighter than I wanted to just to avoid a leak. The price for these at Amazon was excellent. I don't think I could have done better on Swaddlers at any of the warehouse stores and it was fantastic to have them delivered right to my door. This 1-2 size is just great because at 3 months (12 lbs) my daughter would swim in the size 2 but size 1 did not always give enough coverage on the lower back.

  • Best diaper ever made!
    By A1GZIBVW9G3O9H on 2007-02-06
My son was 3 months premature. The NICU used Huggies, but they didn't squish down between his legs. This kept his legs too far apart. I bought the Pampers Swaddlers Preemie and had the NICU use them. The fabric like material did squish down better and had no leaking. The NICU liked them so much they dropped Huggies and started using Swaddlers. My son is now 14 months old and has never had a leaky diaper.

  • Worth the price
    By ACR3FTKWMTN34 on 2007-04-10
Pampers Swaddlers are soft-they even feel more like clothing rather than a plastic diaper. Swaddlers are more absorbent and seem to fit better around the legs than Huggies. The night time Pampers "super soakers" have never leaked onto our baby's pj's!

Ordering diapers from Amazon has been a great experience. We placed an order and received the diapers the next day! Sure beats running to the store in a snowstorm with a newborn!

  • Very Good Diapers
    By AM2DM87SC3K50 on 2007-08-06
Probably the best but expensive. Even with super saver shipping, Sam's Club is cheaper by $4.50. C'mon Amazon, give us a deal!

  • Pampers too much perfume
    By A3DVDGLORMSXH9 on 2007-08-07
I agree that pampers swaddlers are good diapers - they are soft and conform well the the baby's bottom. My complaint is that they have too much perfume/odor. This has caused a very bad rash on my daughter. We tried everything you could imagine to stop this rash and then when it started to travel up the front and back we knew it was something else. We were using Huggies and I tried the Swaddlers as they were on sale. When we switched back, the rash immdiately started to heal - this was after 2 weeks of trying everything. They should offer an odor free version as I would consider it again.

  • Never leak
    By A3FDG1ASGMUQSL on 2007-09-30
These diapers never leak. They will make your life a lot easier than other diapers that are unpredictable.
