  • Simple, small, inexpensive

    By A3QQGPI3CTV9SX on 2008-06-09
Another great product from Belkin. I have used it when traveling with my laptop to hook up extra equipment. I have used it at home with my desktop for some added USB-2 level ports. It is great as it is very small and can fit in a shirt pocket, backpack, shoulder bag or purse. It provides you with 4 ports, high speed transfer rates and it is plug and play so NO SOFTWARE required which is always a good thing. If you need more ports for any USB device this would be a great one, if you require more ports you have several good choices right here on Amazon.

  • Good basic hub, but no power adapter

    By ABJOFY8FRXJJG on 2008-06-24
I like the design of this USB hub but I wish the tail was a bit longer so I could hide the other four ports behind something.

This basic hub works well for many USB devices but if you need a hub to support USB 2.0 devices that require power, like an external hard drive, you need to know that this isn't a powered hub (no power adapter).

  • Solid product, and no power supply

    By A3MV54GL7QDOPK on 2008-03-24
I wanted a USB hub that didn't need a power supply. Inexpensive and functional. Just what I was looking for

  • Belkin - a four port USB hub

    By A1R738D7BDSSJL on 2008-06-09
If you need a 4 port unpowered USB hub this one works nicely for me. I have a 4GB SanDisk Cruzer an eleven GB Drive Eight GB Microdrive and a mouse connected. so far every time I power up my laptop everything has always been recognized.

  • great little USB hub

    By AW1OGWTQAW85 on 2008-05-21
I bought this USB hub to be able to add a couple of extra USB ports to the back of my computer. I love how small it is, and the fact that it does not require any external power supply, so no additional cables or power bricks to plug into a wall outlet. It even has a small red LED light to tell you it is recieving power from the USB port it's connected to. And, it is USB 2.0. Cheap, small, convenient, and it gets the job done. What more could you ask for?. Great buy.

  • Works great!
    By AORM4NMN3S389 on 2007-11-12
Simple and functional and stays out of the way of the other ports on my MacBook Pro.

  • Great Hub!!
    By A30L1Y3NWR02M on 2008-02-26
This hub is nice and small so it takes up a minimal amount of space on my desk. My external drives connect easily and I can charge my ishuffle on it. The only drawback my be the very short wire to connect the hub to your computers usb port.

  • So far, so good.
    By A3LQ31SOVYE094 on 2008-06-18
I was skeptical of buying an inexpensive hub because I've heard from others that they're usually made very cheaply in China, either by prisoners or giant pandas, and they tend to overheat and burn out. But I decided to take a chance this time since this one has the "Belkin" name, and so far it's been working fine. Doesn't feel that hot even during long hours of use.

  • It's great but can't be used certain ways
    By A2GF3PPKHW9VLV on 2008-07-01
This hub is great for my Mac, I only have 2 usb ports on my MacBook and my External Hard Drive takes up both so this allowed me to gain 3 extra spaces... Only problem is that I can't plug BOTH of my usb cables into the hub and then plug just the hub into the mac, I have to plug one external HD cable into the hub and one into the computer, and THEN I can plug the hub into the computer and the other usb ports work that way (wow... complicated). I guess it's not that big of a deal, considering all the ports work. It was just a little confusing to get it started at first.

Overall, though, it gives me room for 5 extra ports which is nice, and it keeps away from my computer because it has a longer cable attached, it doen't just stick out of my computer. It's also smaller than I thought it would be, it's probably about 2 inches across each way (it's a square) and a half an inch thick.

  • Perfect Ultra-Mini Hub
    By A2P2K75CR4JY7W on 2008-05-14
I was looking for a very small hub to take up as little space as possible, and this hub did exactly that. It's small and nice-looking. For what I want it to do, it's perfect.

  • Works poorly with Macbook Air
    By A23H2X4VP6BQGG on 2008-06-24
I got this hub to use with my Macbook Air. The hub will reliably "black screen of death" my MBA a few times a day. Devices that I plug into it include: Sierra Wireless 881 USB for ATT, ipod classic, external bus powered hard drives. The Sierra Air Card will disconnect randomly when hooked up to the hub as well. These "features" only happen when the hub is in the mix. I'd return it but threw out the box.

  • Great little hub. Just what I was looking for.
    By A2B3IFZEROYSHL on 2008-08-26
Ordered this mini-USB hub for my laptop. It's a DELL (cough-cough) with a whopping TWO USB ports. Well I've got at a minimum the mouse, an external drive (or two), as well as my iPhone, and possibly have my other MP3 device attached as well. And oh yeah, and a laptop cooler.. that if I don't keep running makes my laptop get very hot.

But the hub works great.. can't beat it for <$10. Plugged in & recognized everything without a hitch. Plus it's small enough to travel with.

  • Cheap and good
    By A3XFXGHC2P38Y on 2008-09-18
    Works as advertised.
I have been using this with my MacBook Pro. I use my external drive, external wired mouse and laptop chill mat with this USB hub in one go. All work fine.
I am pleased with this hub and would recommend it.

  • Perfect for the MacBook Air
    By A20NYV38J3076D on 2008-05-31
The hub looks nice, works well, is very compact, and is a great price. It goes perfectly with the MacBook Air.

  • great for the price
    By A246H5PT3I8C9 on 2008-07-18
It serves the purpose! Although it lacks the power ability, it serves the basic purpose of a USB connector for devices that do not depend on computer for power. So, I have attached my 3 external hard drives to this baby! Mind you it won't take a flash drive though!!!! Because flash drive takes power from the computer.

  • Works well
    By A4GI6YHQPNUG2 on 2008-10-12
I ordered this mini-hub to hook my external hard drives to my laptop. Works perfectly. I have not noticed any difference between routing the hard drives through this hub or hooking them directly to my laptop. My wireless mouse, USB game controller, and ipod all work flawlessly through this hub as well. Good value for the price.

  • Works well, compact form factor.
    By A3HGED3NVTR0OV on 2008-05-10
Works great for USB keyboard and mouse on my laptop (Thinkpad T61p with Ubuntu Gutsy)

  • great usb hub
    By A3O2ITR3IKJXPY on 2008-05-20
this is a great usb hub for a couple of reasons. It takes up almost no space at all on a desk. It DOES NOT require a power supply like many other hubs. It provides 4 more usb ports for your computer with a ergonomic and attractive design. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hub for a laptop or even a desktop computer. great job by belkin.

  • Great accessory for a MacBook Air
    By A2HHAV29CZ1OIE on 2008-06-30
I purchased this to use with my MacBook Air. I wanted something small and lightweight and easy to slip into my briefcase. This adapter fits my needs perfectly. It expands my one USB port on my computer to four and I can easily use my keyboard and mouse with it. I highly recommend it for those on the go.

  • Price is right and does the job
    By A2Q998KTYJZBM5 on 2008-07-06
Has performed without any problems on emachines T1100. About 6 inches from port to the square shaped (2"x2"x1/2") hub. Cord is on the thin side and a little short(for use on the front USB port), but for the price I can't complain. A small red light indicates the hub is powered.

  • Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra Mini Hub Does the Job!
    By A3OPBU990TJ8PY on 2008-07-09
When searching for multi-port hubs in June 2008 I found there are several choices and price ranges out there. I was familiar with the Belkin name and with a price of $11.25 each with no tax and shipping I bought two. I now see that some vendors sell this item for even less. The device works perfectly. I used it in conjunction with a 6' USB extension cable that I already had to provide for more mobility. My PC runs XP Pro and the operating system recognized the new device immediately and I was off and running. Works fine.

  • saved old laptop
    By A2O1YAB7CG5USQ on 2008-07-30
My older Dell had only 1 working usb port. This product allows me to attach several usb wires at the same time. Now I can attach jump drives, cameras etc. at the same time.

  • Beautiful Simplicity
    By A1TFY3JEGYFTHV on 2008-09-15
I have spent months searching for a simple USB hub for my laptop. All the options seemed like complete overkill (7 ports, software install, overpriced, etc.). Finally, Belkin comes through with this little number. It works like a charm -- just plug in your gadgets and roll. Why can't it always be this simple?

  • Good product
    By A3MXYE2LUQ523F on 2008-10-03
This is a very useful accessory to any Laptop/PC user. With USB devices proliferating by the day, the standard 3 or even 4 USB ports provided turn out to be insufficient and this compact gadget provides additional ports with minimum fuss. And it doesn't cost a bomb!

  • OK
    By A134VOOXIY92MP on 2008-10-13
Works OK with USB Flash Drive, but does NOT work with my WD HDD Driver. I have to plug it directly to my laptop.

  • Works well and is well priced
    By A3DG89N6C9P0MF on 2008-10-18
I was looking for a replacement to my (free) Microsoft USB hub and this was one of the better designed available for a low-ish price. The cord is about 6" long so it has room to move and the square design works ok. The square is small, about 1.5" each side.

  • It works
    By A1SK7C91P7PVU6 on 2008-10-18
It works for me just fine, all four ports can be used at once, not much else to say.

  • A bit flimsy, but gets the job done
    By A3C6E84LI8U2J9 on 2008-10-22
Overall this is a good product that gets the job done. I have been using this device for a month now and I've had no issues at all with performance. I just think the material could be more robust - when plugging in the USB ports, it feels as if the port is about to come off (doesn't happen). Also, I don't know if it was my PC or this device, but initially for the first week or so, my PC took a good 5 minutes after powering on to recognize the various devices connected through this hub. It works just fine now. For the price, it is a good product which performs as expected.

  • Works well but not perfectly with MacBok
    By AJGGG1MGPW8P4 on 2008-11-08
This inexpensive, sleek little product works well with my MacBook. I have my iPod cable, printer, and mouse running through it but when I plug in my external hard drive the computer doesn't recognize it. But it still serves my need as I can use the second USB port on my Mac for the hard drive and the Hub for everything else.

  • Better than expected
    By A32B9QZBBO11JI on 2008-05-30
It's not self powered, but it is Hi-Speed USB 2.0. It doesn't look like much but it works great.
