Best Price: $49.99 $30.19
Smith & Wesson Powertech Galaxy 28 LED Flash-Lights Colors: Smith & Wesson Powertech Galaxy 28 Flashlight - 20 White LEDs, 4 Red LEDs, 4 Blue LEDs Model SW2800RBW The dual-switch Smith & Wesson Galaxy 28 flashlight is designed with two separate on-off push buttons, providing a choice between a powerfully bright 20 White LED mode or two battery-efficient LED modes--4 red LED (for night vision) or 4 blue LED (for low light viewing)--without the confusion of a single switch mechanism. Ideal for aviation, outdoors, automotive, home, and professional use, the 20 LED mode provides a brilliant beam of white light perfect for general usage, while the 4 LED mode is ideal for conserving battery power and signaling and identifying targets at night without hampering night vision. It's constructed of precision-machined 6063 anodized aluminum for maximum resistance to corrosion and weather. The flashlight also includes 3 AAA batteries and a deluxe holster with a spare battery holder. It's backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Blindingly Bright Light By A1A535TCGNMVPI on 2008-01-23
Here is one light that is BRIGHT! Not only do you have 20 white LED, but 4 Red and 4 blue! The white is for your general night viewing. Red lights help keep your night vision. Blue are for low light areas. Personally I like the same light, but with the 4 green LED instead of the blue (do a search here at amazon as it's available). But the I've found a good use for the blue in looking at maps at night.
It comes with a great carrying case you can clip on your belt through a velcro backing. And on the outside of the case is a small pocket to put three extra batteries.
Those who work nights and need a good light (Law Enforcement, EMS), here is the light you need. It looks stylish, and feels good in your hand. Ends are squared so that it does not roll. The middle of the light where you hold it are grooved so the light does not "sweat out" of your hands.
Battery power is good. Like any light it will not last 12 hours constantly on. But the 20 white LED are bright yet seem to use less power. And the red and blue use even less power and will work even when the white is dim or out as they use even less power.
Very nice By ARJP5X2DFELBO on 2007-11-28
This flashlight works exactly as described. The white LED is much brighter than I expected! It's similar to those hyper-white lights some of the newer cars have and definitely puts out a lot of light for the size. The blue and red led's are also bright, although the blue has a bit more of a focused (smaller) beam than the rest. Overall, I'd recommend.
Who knew S&W was making flashlights? By A2YJE1LWDVOZ52 on 2008-02-29
I've been a big fan of multi-LED flashlights since my first 9-LED Innova one a few years ago - this is probably my 6th or 7th and, so far, it's my all-time favorite - puts out tons of light on white and the red and blue LEDs are great for when working at my customers' homes in a darkened room and need to take a quick peek at a manual or remote but don't want to lose my night vision.
Awesome Product By A12N1IOF4ZU2ON on 2007-12-06
I highly recommend this Product! I am using it for Hunting Trips! Just an Awesome Product!
Great for its purpose By A2FA4FBRYJ7IQG on 2008-02-18
This flashlight is small-only about 6 inches long. It offers a bright light great for taking walks at night and for general use when traveling, etc. You will not be able to use it for any "big" flashlight purpose, however, as many reviews seem to hint. One night we heard something fall on a section of the roof. We grabbed this and ran outside to take a peek. Nope. Had to go in for the BIG light!
- Powerful feeling flashlight
     By A29G4LTSMAP3N9 on 2008-06-29
The flashlight has a solid feel, nice click to the buttons, and the battery has not warn out yet (I've had it for about 3 months with casual usage). The different colors are a nice touch, but one thing worth noting, you need to go through the colors, you can't pick them individually. One press gets blue, the next red, then off. So while white light can just be turned on and off, you can't just get to the red light, you need to go through blue first.
- Works Well

- Nice light!
     By A2TWNTTBGFFQPL on 2008-02-29
Cuould be a little brigter but otherwise excellent flashlight. Well built, feels good in the hand, and you have a choice of white, red, and blue light. Kinda patriotic......
- Great Torch
     By A13AI70DYO33F on 2008-03-29
You know some things just look and feel like they are good quality. Well I think this torch is one of them. It's about 6 and 1/2 inches long, and 1 inch in diameter at the back end and about an inch and a half at the light end. The beam is more of a flood light than the focused beam of an incandescent torch like a Maglight but is very white and bright at up to medium ranges. The red and blue light actually seem more focused than the white and are surprisingly bright for only 4 LED's each. Batteries are AAA's and loaded into a magazine type cylinder before being inserted into the back of the torch. Both ends of it have flats on them which will help stop it rolling. It comes with a very well made pouch that will fit on a belt and has storage for spare batteries. I bought it to do walk arounds on aircraft at night and for this purpose I think it will be ideal.
- Good Flashlight
     By A198PLH3OCZQNT on 2008-05-31
I purchased this flashlight as a gift for my father-in-law (an avid hunter) and decided to get one for myself as well. I'm a big fan of the different colors this flashlight uses - especially the red for preserving night vision. I don't know how well the blue picks up a blood trail, but it's worth a shot as the red and traditional LED displays do a fine job for a camping flashlight.
- Great light
     By A381FE4ZO14Y60 on 2008-08-18
This light gives off a great amount of light for 3 AAA batteries although the beam is not very concentrated. I use the red light all the time for finding something in the tent without blinding yourself although I wish it didn't cycle through the blue lights as well (There are 2 switches - one switch turns the white lights off & on; the other switch cycles through RED > BLUE > OFF again.) The only other small complaint is that when you put the light in the case and snap the case shut it is easy to hit the button and turn the light back on. The light needs to be twisted so the case button doesn't align with the switch - not a big deal. The case also has a little pouch to store 3 additional AAA batteries - very handy.
Otherwise I highly recommend it as it is one of the best I've used - a tough, bright light for a reasonable price.
- Ahhh! My eyes!!
     By ASB818MWR0XR4 on 2008-08-21
Do not look into the light from this little guy!! Took it for a week-long canoeing/hiking/camping trip with six other guys. This light was far brighter than anyone elses. I loaded it up with the Energizer Lithium batteries and haven't changed them yet. The red and blue modes are bright too.
In short, great flashlight, great price.
- Best in the world
     By A33A36Y2ZH8OSX on 2008-08-21
LED Flashlights have certainly come a long way since Cristobol Loomis first discovered the technology in Quetzalcoatl's tomb but the basic principles still remain the same and, for my money, they're still the best source of illumination to be found in the modern world. Overall I would probably give the 4 red LEDs three stars and the 20 white LEDs four stars, but when you factor in sixteen stars for the 4 blue LEDs that still comes out to a hair over twelve stars total so I can't in good conscience give this product one star less than five. The only real fault I can assign to it are mainly design choices...why is the second setting able to shine through everything else but not styrofoam, and why does shining the light from the third setting bring reptiles back to life but nothing else? Quibbles aside though, the flashlight is sturdy, capable of surviving a fall of up to 200 feet, and will also provide full visibility roughly 60 meters in every direction even at depths of up to one hundred fathoms. You really just can not go wrong with this flashlight.
- Good Value
     By A9MWD6MZQH5SU on 2008-08-27
This flashlight is well constructed, good smallish size and feels solid and comfortable. The 20 white LEDs provide good lighting, better than most incandescent flashlights , but of course cannot compete with the 3 Watt LEDs of some flashlights but which cost more. It is good value for money.
The 4 red and 4 blue LEDs are useful e.g. map reading or when limited light is needed and you want to conserve batteries. I find I frequently switch the red/blue light on by accident instead of the white LEDS as their switch falls naturally under my thumb, but this is no big deal. The holster feels comfortable.
- Great for stargazing
     By A3BLGQ6QUW3VBA on 2008-09-09
This flashlight is compact and powerful (but only uses 3 AAA batteries). It's main benefit is the use of the red and blue LEDs; when using a telescope, using red while looking at star charts does not affect the eyes like white light. The holster is not bad either.
I'm not sure how the LEDs will last, though. The first flashlight shipped to me had a red LED that went bad after a few minutes of use. The second one seems to be holding up just fine.
- Satisfied Customer
     By A1AP1ISMSL6GD5 on 2008-09-30
Performs as advertised. I keep it on a table next to our bed. The separate ON/OFF switch for the red LED is great when you want to find something without ruining your night vision.
It lights up a large part of the room in the white LED mode. For outdoor use,I have a large 6 volt flashlight where distance is an issue. In summary. it is an ideal light for the interior of your home or as a handy light to carry for use in the car or airplane.
The carrying case is well designed with a pouch for extra batteries.
- sturdy and bright
     By A1RYRE0JR4601L on 2008-10-19
I bought this light for work where I constantly find myself in dark closets and machine rooms. This flashlight has been a great addition to my tool belt. The 20 white led's give enough illumination to compete with any other light of its size. The red and blue light function is a nice addition however in my work conditions I doubt it has much use; but they are a great addition especially since they are on a seperate switch. The light feels great in your hand and very durable. When looking for a light don't over look this flashlight, especially when it comes to the pricetag.
- Alota light!
     By A14IOP7H0QRD3J on 2008-05-14
Great light! More light than I expected. Also has nice red & blue options for night vision.
- Good flashlight
     By A1OE2TZJ2ABLPC on 2008-06-04
It is a good product but I still find useless the blue and red leds...
