    (39 reviews)
Best Price: $59.99 $29.99
The touch of one button gives you access to eight essential ride features: current speed, average speed, programmable odometer, maximum speed, two trip distances, elapsed time and a 12/24 hour clock. Automatic start/stop/power-save modes save you time. Dual wheel size settings allow you to use two different bikes. Pace arrow indicates if you"re riding above or below your average speed. Cat Eye"s new Flex-Tight bracket mounts to a stem or handlebar quickly, securely and tool-free. Fits standard and oversized handlebars. Sleek, lightweight, and elegant and free of wires, this slim wireless bicycle computer displays current speed, maximum speed (up to 65 mph), average speed, trip distance, second-trip distance, total distance, elapsed time, and 12/24-hour clock. The dual trip-distance functions keep track of intermediate or multi-day distances. For ease of use even on rough terrain, simply pressing the bottom of the screen toggles through the computer's modes. The selected mode displays at the bottom of the screen, while current speed appears at the top in large, easy-to-read numerals. An up/down arrow compares current speed to average speed. Other features include dual tire size, programmable odometer, pace arrow, automatic start/stop, and automatic power-saving mode. The computer runs on two CR2032 batteries (included), one for the head unit and the other for the sensor. Maximum wireless transmission distance is 27 inches. The computer's tool-free bracket mounts quickly on virtually any handlebar or stem. The tool-free sensor mounts easily to the fork. Like all Cateye bicycle computers, this one is ultrasonically welded and water-resistant. Specifications: - Handlebar mount size: 22-31.8 mm
- Fork mount size: 11-55 mm
- Batteries: CR2032 (two included; for head unit and sensor)
- Maximum wireless transmission distance: 27" (70 cm)

Accurate and stylish By AOY2BTMMVV183 on 2008-01-25
I've ridden close to 400 miles since I purchased this Cateye cycle computer and been quite pleased with it, but I didn't want to submit a review until I had a chance to measure the computer's accuracy. On my previous bike, I used a Trek cycle computer (wired). The distance measurement the two computers gave for my home to office commute were slightly off. I didn't know which one to believe. So the other day I rode along the Mt. Vernon trail, and when I passed mile marker 17, I checked the Cateye's odometer. When I passed mile marker 18, the odometer was accurate to the hundredth decimal place. I was very impressed.
Raves:
- Accuracy
- Size, style and installation (looks great mounted to the stem)
- ClickTec ease of use (with the Trek I had to fumble with buttons along the top and bottom)
- No ugly wires
Rants:
- Requires 2 batteries
- One time I hit a big bump and the angle of the wheel sensor changed enough so that the magnet and it began to hit each other
2/2/08 UPDATE: The tab on the bracket broke off when I popped the Strada out. I blame the winter cold stressing the plastic. I reported the breakage to Cateye, and then sent me a full parts kit (for mounting a sensor and bracket on a second bike) free of charge. Excellent customer service.
Nice and easy By A2JYOE9OH5NU1J on 2007-05-29
Very nice product, little and compact, very easy to read it and to scroll from differents screens just one click of the "screen" (Hide button.)
The installation is in minutes, no tools you'll need, only common sense and the instruction sheet.
The batteries are very easy to find them and cheap to.
It comes with all the features you need in a ride.
Don't waste your time looking for an other cyclocomputer, this is a very good choice.
Parada for Strada By AF5HK5D33IPCX on 2007-08-24
Good product, only problem I had since installing was it stopped working.
This was because the mount for some reason did not align. I made the necessary adjustment and since then there has been no problem.
I keep acturate records for my rides and the Strada meets my demands. I am glad I purchased this product and may buy the kit so I can use it also on my second bike.
Sleek and easy to use By A29H40I0WUH3QJ on 2007-10-31
I was surprised by how slim this computer is. Once you initialize it, all you have to do is press the unit to cycle through the functions. I like that it starts automatically, since I usually forgot to start my old one. I like the pace arrows, which are a motivator if you are riding for time. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to stop the average pace calculation and keep riding at a relaxed pace once I'm done with my course. I just have to check the numbers before my warmdown route starts. It installed easily on the bar stem, which I liked better than on the bar. Some trial and error needed on the sensor, but in all it took about 30 minutes at the most to install.
Great item By A3DSPH0TXTUZDT on 2007-09-28
This product is all they say. The best part is when I called the mailer
for some help, as the product wasn't working at first. I actually spoke with a human!! The advise was right on the money. I couldn't install it on the right upper fork, so I put it on the bottom instead. The sensor is very senative when aligning it with the magnet. I love it so much, I'm thinking about purchasing another for my husband.
- Nice Computer
     By A2T39LN7LWSWQ7 on 2008-05-02
I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Cateye CC-RD300W. This is my first wireless computer and it has worked perfectly. The fork mounted sensor attaches very solidly and has not moved a bit - I was a little worried about how well the zip ties would work on a mountain bike suspension fork. The cradle for the computer itself is a very well engineered and also mounts firmly to the handlebar. It was very easy to install. The comuter is so easy to use. There are no buttons on the front, you just push down on the lower part of it and it toggles from view to view. Hold for about 3 seconds and it reset. It has a nice big readout for MPH and the various readout option are easy to see at the bottom of the screen. I would highly recommend this product.
- AWSOME!!!!!
     By A9A64HU087AXC on 2008-02-12
I love this computer and gave it 5 stars. I went with this computer after much debate between it and a wired version due to the fact that I was worried the wireless function wouldnt work well on a mountain bike but it hasnt failed me yet.
Installing the devise was easy, the directions are easy to follow and understand and actual setup was a snap. The only thing I was concerned about was the size, it is quite small after looking at the larger images of the thing then taking it out of the box was a shocker.
In use, it is a great design and very easy to use, you can actually use the entire computer with one finger. When the computer is in the bracket, simply pushing down on the bottom section of the computer cycles through the menu's. I like the fact that the current speed is the bigger display no matter what sub menu your on, making it easy to read and understand. Sub menu's include: Time, Time of ride, Distance Ridden, Distance2(Dual Distance), Average Speed, Max Speed, Odo. The one feature it doesnt have which might have been nice is cadence but Im not a roadie so it is kinda minor.
Another nice aspect is the fact that it is water proof, important because last summer I got caught in pouring rain 3 or 4 times, I also landed in puddles of water and mud a couple of times as well :-) The computer fits in the cradle very securely so there is almost no chance of it falling off the bike in a spill, (tried and tested).
I highly recommend this computer if your looking for a computer that is easy to use
- Cheap product, with no support
     By A22MMZOX95GWV8 on 2007-11-19
I would not recommend buying this product. The product has very specific installation requirements, if you do not fit those installation requirements exactly your readings will be wildly inaccurate.
When I was installing this I noticed the speed, and distance were very wrong. I then contacted the company for support. The support was very condescending, rude, and not helpful at all. They wouldn't refund me for the incompetent product. Now I see why this company is not a parter with Amazon.
Don't waste your money on this company. There are many other choices out there.
- Cateye Strada cycling computer
     By A3J1E7NTOZ1JCR on 2007-10-11
Product as described. Easy installation and good functionality. Particular advantage is dual tire size setting to switch from mountain to road bike. Nice big numbers on display. Reasonable price.

- Bike Computor
     By A3MJNY19DUAWT on 2008-01-09
I was not happy with what I received. According to your web sight the item was about 5 times larger than it really is. I contacted the manufacture about it, and they appologized for the confusion, but said it was your web sight that was misleading, becuase your listed deminsions was for the size of box, and not the item.
- Nice Package! Good choice.
     By A1VQWAXOJ26R1U on 2008-03-06
I just installed the Cateye RD-300W computer, but have only used it on one ride to date (too much snow here in Chicago still!!), so check back later for an update to this survey.
I researched many, many different types and makes, but am very happy with the RD-300W so far.
I really like the overall looks as well as the features. The jet black finish and slim design are sleek, plus larger display charachters make it easier to see. The simple action of pressing the bottom portion of the computer base to change modes, instead of fumbling around trying to press a different button for different modes, makes mode changing simple. Installation was a breeze...tool Free!!!
I ordered additional magnets for my other wheelsets because the older magnets I had would not work with the new Cateye wireless pickup. That actually worked out to my benefit because all my wheels now have this new magnet. The magnets do not need a tool to install/deinstall. An aluminum thumbwheel replaces the typical screw or clamp.
- Love It!
     By AGA7Y2AYOSSJ8 on 2008-04-06
This is my first bike computer, but I love the ease of use, the large numbers and the "tap" to cycle through the displays. It is a very small unit as some other people mentioned, but the display works fine for me.
I deducted one star as I can't seem to reset the time after daylight savings time. I tried about 5 times. When I get a chance, I'll try some more. Or perhaps, just wait till daylight savings time again, when the time will be correct once again.
- great product
     By AX2DA65L3L1GT on 2008-04-14
This is my second Cateye. The first was five years old and still works I just wanted to switch. This model is great because the button to change screens is on the bottom so when attached to the bike you just push anywhere on the computer and it engages the button. The info this computer provides (clock, time, distance, mph, odometer, average speed) is enough for all riders except professionals that desire more data. It does NOT have a backlight. Which might be a problem for some.
Cateye has GREAT customer service, and great products. I've bought one for my girlfriend and my cousin has outfitted her family with Cateye. You won't be disappointed.
- Quality Product
     By AVP48Z1OIOA0U on 2008-03-25
Would recommend this bicycle computer to anyone. A word to the wise.....just make sure you take time to read, thoroughly, the instructions for setting up the unit and make sure the magnet you install on the spokes is properly aligned and very close to the sending unit. This was our first experience with a bicyle computer so some of the nuances were not so familiar to us. Though very compact, important data is very readable on the face of the unit. A good product.
- Great Product by Cateye
     By A3FDCYGN0FLJ5N on 2008-04-15
Ordered it on a Tuesday, received it two day later (this is for super saver shipping!). As for the computer, it's much nicer than my old wired one, and the lack of wires make for a much cleaner look in the front. The computer's one-touch operation is a breeze to use, and safer than my old system too. No problems at all with either mounting the wireless sensor or the computer. Overall, a good upgrade for my road bike!
- SHE LOVES IT
     By A1AR2HIT1W04MU on 2007-11-06
My wife is the athletic one. She absolutely loves this product. It was very easy to install and use.
- Excelente Cateye !!!
     By A2OIABTLX1APQV on 2008-02-20

The Cateye Strada wireless bicycle computer was very easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. It works great and is easy to read.
- good product- battery was dead
     By A25UL100SRL94C on 2008-05-14
product works great. Battery was dead when i received it but that is solved and now it works very well, no complaints.
- Good value for your money
     By A1KSECSJKIC439 on 2008-05-18
It was a good purchase and great value for the money.
The shipment arrived on time (and with the right price), it took me 30 min to read the instructions and install it. The gadget works perfectly. Its pretty acurate, just to illustrate, I ride a trail near my house witch informs the total distance (6.1 miles), what its exactly what it displays every time I ride. Its also small and brings all the info you need.
I totally recomend the purchase.
- Wireless Computer
     By A12ZDULRF98MDM on 2008-06-01
Works great and easy to set up, even with rather large mountain bike suspension forks. Functions are simple and the display is easy to read.
- Works like a Maytag
     By AY1LASBXE3SU8 on 2007-11-10
Technology was sold as making things simpler and easier. Generally, that was the big lie of the 20th century, BUT there may yet be hope now that we're "21"!
This device is actually simple to set up and use and, like the ideal "Maytag", is a one button item. It took me 10 min to set up. It works quietly and easily. It's large enough to read but not so big as to be unwieldy. This is the 4th bike computer I've owned and is, by a wide margin, the best.
The only feature that I want in one of these things is the ability to wirelessly download a ride into my computer without having to take it off of the bike. One button please!
- Great Product
     By A1KBS0QNTLW4UY on 2007-12-12
I like the fact that has a large dial, easy to use and it can taken easily out of the handlebar casing for safekeeping. Is very accurate and simple enough for my needs, Reads: Speed, Avg Speed, Max Speed, Distance Traveled, Odometer, Traveled Time and Time.
I highly recommed it.
- Great Service

Product arrived before it was promised in excellent cndition. Could not want better service.
- Very nice and easy
     By A2H2A1TXQJTVUS on 2008-05-02
I was surprised that it was so small, but very readable and easy to install. I had to fiddle with the sensor, but within a couple of minute is worked wonderfully. I would recommend this product.

wary small and good cycling computer. Everything is ok, but it can interfere with the same units. It is bad for few cyclists with this computers
- Great Device
     By A3LHZQMWBJBSLU on 2008-06-07
I recently began commuting on my bike twice a week (30 miles RT). This computer is great. Though small in size, the real-time display of mph is huge and it is easy to use. The accuracy is great. This was simple to set up. Simple to install (make sure you have some back up tie wraps in case you err in the mounting of the wireless component). I am not a speedy rider, but thanks to this computer, I am getting faster and enjoying the ride.
- Excellent Cyclocomputer
     By A2QVOBEIYFDS7H on 2008-07-14
Installation was quite easy. It is worth the trouble to download the user manual from cateye.com however. The font size on the included sheets is a strain to read.
While the handlebar/stem mounting bracket is great, it is possible to over-tighten the bracket which may cause the "touch screen" functionality to not work correctly or at all.
On my last two rides the trip data has spontaneously reset to zero. The "touch screen" feature is really an electro-mechanical operation of a button on the back of the computer when one presses on the bottom of the unit. I suspect that I may still have the bracket a little tight. I have asked Cateye for an explanation of other possible reasons for this "spontaneous reset" but they have not yet had a chance to reply.

Excellent product. Easy to install.....Written installation instructions can be overwhelming for someone with no previous experience, due to the amount of written information in small font, crammed into a small space. Wish that the computer display window was larger. Overall, very satisfied with the product.
