Detectives Bones and Booth create undeniable chemistry and humor while solving crimes using frequently clashing investigative styles.

Beginning with the death of a senator and ending with a marriage, the second season of Bones builds on the momentum created during the Fox drama's debut year. Bones' sophomore season (which includes all 21 episodes that originally aired during 2006-2007) centers on the collaborations between FBI special agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), whom Booth has nicknamed "Bones." While Booth doesn't completely believe in Bones' method, he can't argue with her success rate at solving crimes. As for Bones, she is meticulous at what she does and is a borderline genius, but she has issues. Seemingly oblivious to her own good looks, she is all but socially inept. Booth may be blunt, but he's comfortable dealing with the public. Bones, on the other hand, would rather be sequestered away with the dead, trying to figure out what happened before their uncertain deaths. Of course, while viewers can see that Bones and Booth would be a perfect couple, the characters aren't quite there yet. Their friendship becomes a little more complicated this season when it turns out that Bones' new demanding boss, Dr. Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), is a former girlfriend of Booth's. And the two women aren't getting along.

Still, everyone is able to work together to solve a series of crimes, such as identifying the remains of an all but unidentifiable teenage boy and dealing with a serial killer who is emulating the crimes depicted in Bones' latest mystery novel. (Yes, she's not only a brilliant scientist but also an ace author.) Like many television dramas where forensic evidence is a driving force in the plots, Bones offers up the gross-out autopsies. But it also serves up a lot of humanity in the way the characters interact with one another. It is giving nothing away to reveal that Bones and Booth are not the couple getting married in the season finale. But the episode does reveal that beneath their tough exteriors, marriage and all that it implies is something they wouldn't mind... perhaps even with each other. --Jae-Ha Kim MPN: FOXD2246045D - UPC: 024543460459

  • "Bones Season 2" better than ever!

    By A3LH77PBDFEO3F on 2007-07-06
I loved this season of Bones even more than season one, as more of the cast are developing to fuller characters, with new subplots to keep things tied together, and more really cool forensics.

Dr Brennan (Emily Deschanel) continues to struggle with her desire to feel normal emotional connection, while her intellect keeps her from exactly getting there, and while the chemical tension with her partner simmers under the surface. Thrown into the mix are new moral dilemmas due to her developing knowledge of her birth family, and shades of gray start to infiltrate her world of black and white. Can one be a moral (justified) killer? Etc. Forgiveness and love are examined in rather unique ways

Bones is very good TV, that I can enjoy with both my wife and my teens.
So if you have already watched season one, get season two (but really, watch one first for the character development that is quite good) and have a marathon fun weekend!

  • One of the Finest Hours on Television Today

    By A1U360OMVQRPUB on 2007-09-17
FOX Television has struck gold with the series, BONES. The series stars BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and ANGEL heartthrob David Boreanaz as FBI Agent Seely Booth and relative newcomer Emily Deschanel as Temperance Brennan.

The series is based on books written by real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. Reichs is also a real-life NEW YORK TIMES best-selling author. Viewers of the television show will quickly discover that the "Temperance Brennan" of the books is much different than the character in the television show. The literary Temperance is a divorced mother with a problematic family.

In the television show, Temperance is an orphan that was raised in foster care and has trouble relating to others on an interpersonal level. She also happens to be an author and writes about a forensic anthropologist named Kathy Reichs.

The two series, in some ways, are vastly different. But people who enjoy the show will probably enjoy the books. And people enjoy the books, once they get over the fact that their favorite heroine isn't presented the way she is in the novels, will have a blast with the television show.

BONES, derived from Seely Booth's pet name for Temperance and from the fact that a forensic anthropologist usually only has skeletons to work with, is a fascinating interplay of almost-romance, outstanding characters, and nifty little puzzles dealing with murder and mayhem. The chemistry between the two stars is palpable and believable. I haven't seen Boreanaz anything that I haven't liked him in. Deschanel was new to me, although I had seen her in a supporting role in GLORY ROAD that was much different than the Temperance role.

The almost-romance shtick has gotten potentially old after playing in MOONLIGHTING and LOIS AND CLARK, as well as many others. In fact, long-time mystery viewers will remember a show called REMINGTON STEELE that starred Pierce Brosnan and Stephanie Zimbalist. After those two characters hooked up, viewer interest seemed to wane. Series developer Hart Hanson has to know he's walking a thin line but by choosing to go this route. However, it plays beautifully at present.

The second season continues much of the same tone that was set in the first season. Booth has warmed up to Brennan and her crew, although he still continues to refer to them as the Squint Squad when referring to them among his peers at the FBI. Booth and Brennan also continue to look for her father and to find out what happened to her mother after Brennan's parents disappeared when she was just a teenager.

While Booth's romance with Brennan continues to fizzle this season, maybe even more difficult by the addition of Doctor Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Jack's (T. J. Thyne) romance buds, blossoms, and almost bears fruit. As it turns out, Saroyan is a pathologist (which is a conflict in field of study to a degree to an anthropologist), is Brennan's new boss, and is one Booth's ex-lovers.

Tensions mount between Booth and Brennan as each tries to figure out where the other fits into the work and personal scenes. However, thankfully, the idea of romance is merely hinted at and flirted with rather than moved into a starring role. This is a great choice for the series at the moment, but I don't know how much longer they can successfully pull this off.

In addition to interesting leads, Booth and Brennan are backed by fantastic supporting characters who often step into the limelight of an episode. Zack and Hodges continue to bring slapstick scientific moments to the episodes. Although I really didn't think they could top running the semi-frozen pig corpse through the wood chipper last season, they blew the roof off my expectations with the season opener when they simulated a burning death of a victim using Spam lunch meat. I can always count on those two for a laugh, either through Zack's deadpan delivery or Hodges's conspiracy theories.

Angela is the heart and soul of the investigatory unit. She reminds the team and the viewer that the victims in each episode were real people. Plus, she's gotta be one of the hottest babes on television today. I will never forget how she grabbed the attention of the airline clerk in the first season opener.

Only 21 of Season Two's 22-episode run are included on this box set. One of the episodes, "Player Under Pressure," was pulled out of the lineup during the regular season. The plot line was uncomfortably close to the Virginia Tech shootings. It will be aired this year in Season Three.

There were a lot of outstanding episodes this year, and it was good to see them again in this box set. I was happy to see that this set contains six single-sided discs instead of three double-sided discs like in the last set. On double-sided discs, it gets too complicated tried to figure out which side is up. Plus, I like the cosmetic appeal of having pictures of the actors and actresses on the top of the disc. This also helps make the discs immediately recognizable.

The special features include voiceovers on select episodes, two featurettes, and a gag reel that shows viewers how much fun this series must be to work on. Although the special features are still "bare bones" compared to what viewers want, it does add up to more reasons to pick up the box set.

BONES is one of the best hours of television currently on. If you haven't discovered the series for yourself and you're looking for something to fill the gap left by the cancellation of VERONICA MARS, this series may well be what you're looking for.

  • If you liked season one...

    By A2UMK7PSRHAJA on 2007-06-22
Hey squints! If you liked the first season of Bones, you almost have to buy this one. You know, if you've watched, that this show just gets better and better. The humor gets better, the relationships more interesting. To me its kind of like CSI meets Moonlighting (remember that show, or am I really old?). What I mean is there is everything you could hope for here, humor, romance, action, pretty, pretty people. Anyway, buy it, you won't regret it!

  • Incredable Season

    By AT6BMPYP83QMJ on 2007-06-11
This season of Bones was awesome. It could not have been better. I wish that I could tell you things that happened but I do not want to spoil it for you if you haven't seen them. You will not be dissapointed if you buy this, the only problem is that it wont be out till September 11th. Such a long wait for us Bones fans.

  • Bones is a great mystery/criminal show!

    By AI290A0Z9Y3XF on 2007-07-15
Bones has inspried me to start a career in forensics. Bones is very thought-provoking, and also very informative. This may be a heavier show, but it's quite funny, and the characters are believeable. The characters are amusing in their own scienific way! Temperance Brennan ("Bones") who is the anthropologist, is very analyitcal and very well balanced out by laid back Steeley Booth. This series can suprise you in more ways than one! This season was better than last, and I look forward to the start of season 3! Congratulations on another show well done, FOX!

  • Bonesday is the Best Day
    By A1Q6IW9LYGTLFJ on 2007-07-07
Okay, so Bones? It's the best show ever. And second season was a fabulous season, a lot more character-based than the first season was. This season you really got to see more of the emotional side of Brennan, what with her father coming back (and then leaving again, and then coming back, and then leaving...) and being buried alive with Hodgins. Things with the Squints really heat up when Cam comes in--personally, I hate her, probably just because of her thing with Booth, yeah, I tend to hold a grudge--and the growing Hodgins/Angela relationship. And don't even get me STARTED on the sexual tension between Booth and Bones. It's so amazing. Really though, there are times when they're so close it kills me...I mean, like in Judas on a Pole, that "Hey, Bones, there's more than one kind of family..." and the almost-kiss had me squealing at the TV, and then yelling at it two seconds later when Zack inturrupts. Yep, I'm that obsessed.

This season also had some amazing episodes. Okay, so, they're all amazing--it's an amazing show. But I personally loved Judas on a Pole (who didn't?), Woman in the Sand (oh, the butt-slap...I think I was squealing my brains out), and Aliens in a Spaceship (she OBVIOUSLY wrote to Booth. Loved the end-- "I knew you wouldn't give up"). I loved the last scene of Blonde in the Game, when he gives her Jasper. My favorite scene ever. The season finale was fabulous, too--can't wait for the commentary on that from ED and DB, that should be hilarious. Glowing Bones in the Old Stone House was a really great episode too--somehow, before that, something was missing. But Glowing Bones got it back, and the Mac n Cheese scene was lovely. Gotta love David Boreanaz's ad-libbing there, the "I'd like to be alone with it". He's such a funny guy.

Needless to say, Season Two was amazing. Season One was amazing. "Bones" is amazing. So, watch the show. Buy the DVD.

    Seriously. Pre-order it now. :-)

  • Improved
    By A2QWF2BJ2FM4R2 on 2007-10-13
Whiel the first season of Bones was slightly imperfect, partly due to the real geekiness of its actors, it was a pleasure to watch. Fortunately with Season two the craetors have managed to make this an even better series. Boreanaz' stigma of having played Angel in the Buffy franchise is now completely gone and we can identify him with agent Booth completely. Bones social ineptitude is also put more on clear display this time. These are the two main things that mange to make the chemistry between them even stronger than last season.

  • Better and Better
    By AHC8M8C4UJ1SM on 2007-07-29
I love this show. Dr. Brennan is lovely and intelligent (though rather obtuse with her social skills). Seely Boothe is witty, charming, and at the same time completely believable as a FBI agent. I must also add that I love
Seely Boothe's black SUV with see-through lights! The computer special effects are amazing. The sets and locations are beautiful.
I have both sets 1 and 2 of the DVDs. I hope they have a long run on TV.

  • I love the show....but.....
    By A36Z5QPJ8JUQEU on 2007-09-06
I am a huge fan of this show and own the first season. However I'm a bit disappointed with FOX on the release of this "INCOMPLETE" season 2. Don't be misled by the "Complete Second Season" title. The episode "Player Under Pressure" is not on the episode list for this dvd. This episode contained a key plot line that many of us were upset when we watched the following week's episode. I've contacted FOX about this and to this day have not received a response. Perhaps the episode will appear on the set as an easter egg??? I don't know. But, am I suppose to forget that this episode never aired?? For this reason alone I'm giving this dvd 3 stars. If it was truly complete, I would have given 5 stars

  • Best Show On TV!!!!
    By A1HNE7GY9NBCN3 on 2007-07-05
This show has the best cast on TV. They are all very talented, and the chemistry between the two leads is incredible, and you can see it throughout the entire second season. This show gets better and better, can't wait for season 3!

  • "Talk to me, squints. As close to English as possible.",
    By A2HVL790PBWYTU on 2007-09-19
O Happy Day! As presented in widescreen, here's Season 2 of Bones. The great news is that there's no slack off at all from season one's most excellent run. Involving forensic conundrums and grim visions of death once again winningly meld with great drama, humor, pathos, and tenuous romance. Emily Deschanel as forensic anthropologst Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan and David Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) continue to dazzle as television's most electric investigative duo.

Whereas Booth is the intuitive people person, Brennan is still mostly socially in the dark. She remains dispassionate and driven in her pursuit of her personal Holy Grail, the truth. As always, her ability for drawing accurate observations from ruined human remains proves invaluable in solving FBI cases. As ever, the perceptive Booth and her free spirited best friend Angela are her main conduits to understanding the, to her, bewildering labyrinth of emotions and social decorum. Deschanel is great at allowing the audience to glimpse the wounds just beneath Bones' supremely confident exterior. She and Boreanaz are magical, and their chemical synergy remains the overwhelming draw of this series.

There's a barrage of big technical jargon used on each episode, but that doesn't keep me from being sofa-ed in rapt attention. This show is so clever that my attitude more or less echoes Booth's: "Keep talking. I'll catch up." The mysteries are compelling enough, but when thrown in with the engrossing human elements, it makes me want to tune in to the show that much more. The squints, while intimidatingly brainy and toiling away on a wavelength drastically foreign from that of average folks, are nevertheless engaging and very sympathetic characters. The supporting cast is remarkably good and quirky, bolstered by this season's newcomer Tamara Taylor and by occasional guest stints by Ryan O'Neal, Stephen Fry, and the wonderful Patricia Belcher (as no-nonsense attorney Caroline Julian). It must be noted that T.J. Thyne (Hodgins) and Michaela Conlin (Angela) share an endearing chemistry.

Season 2 introduces a couple of curve balls, beginning with the arrival of Dr. Camille Saroyan (Taylor) as Brennan's new boss at the Jeffersonian Institute, with whom Bones instantly clashes. Then mix in some office romances (except the one we're hankering for). Offer up a serial killer or two. And, thru all the cases she works on, Bones still fixates on her mother's unsolved murder and her father's disappearance. On this, some light will be shed.

My favorite episodes are "The Truth in the Lye" (Tub of goo!! So cool tub of goo!! To quote Bones: "Even for me, this is disgusting."), "The Woman in the Sand" (Booth goes ultimate fighting and, Omigawd, Bones in a sexy black cocktail dress!), "Aliens in a Spaceship" (Hodgins and Brennan are entombed in a car and must come up with makeshift ways to surviva as air runs out; raw-emotioned acting by Thyne and Deschanel), the nerve-wracking "The Blonde in the Game" and its equally harrowing follow-up "The Man in the Cell" features the return of clever serial killer Howard Epps from last season's "A Man on Death Row") and the season-ender "Stargazer in the Puddle" (Bones learns more about her mother).

Special Features include optional episode commentaries on "The Glowing Bones in the Old Stone House" (with Emily Deschanel) and on "Stargazer in a Puddle." Boreanaz doesn't commentate this time; perhaps, his effort last season was deemed too loopy. Disc 6 offers "The Memories in the Season" featurette; "Visceral Effects: The Digital Illusions of Bones" featurette; 8 minutes of deleted scenes with optional commentary by the Executive Producers; and the gag reel.

By the way, the episode commentary on "The Glowing Bones in the Old Stone House" reveals that an unaired 22nd episode will debut in the third season. Does that mean there'll be 23 episodes in season 3? One hopes (but doubts).

  • Missing episode and Fox no help
    By A3MIMHDQ05CNQN on 2007-09-12
Let me start by saying that Bones is one of the best shows on TV. David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel have the best on screen chemistry in years. And the supporting cast is excellent. Second season really saw a growth of character driven plots and excellent writing. Here's where my problem with the DVD box is. The episode Player Under Pressure #19 which went unaired by FOX out of respect for the Virginia Tech tragedy was not included in this set with no real explaination why. When contacting FOX video, they were unable to give any answers either. This comes from the same company that when the Buffy episode Earshot, that was not broadcast for a similar reason, did later include in in the box set for that season. FOX is also very good about releasing TV shows that include unaired episodes in their DVD box sets, so I am very confused and disappointed by this.

  • Good series but a bit too soap opera at times.
    By A1T8N18XKDLJO4 on 2008-01-30
One would thing that a csi like series such as bones would avoid really corny love stories but alas the writers have delved a bit too far into the personal lives of two of the Jeffersonian scientists and created a truly corny story that is complete by adding in crappy soap opera music as they stare into each others eyes. Bones is an excellent show that excels when it focuses on Booth and Bones relationship as they solve murders. Heck even the other scientists add a whole lot to the series in the forms of comic relief and albiet unrealistic sciences such as Angelas 3d drawings of the victim on the giant holographic screen straight out of the Death Star. The main problem with bones is when it delves into the budding relationship of Hodgins and Angela and wastes time on it with corny lines. My wife loves the show and its one of her all time faves but i've grown out of love with it because of the aformentioned soap opera that runs the last half of season 2 and the first half of season 3. The season ending episode is especially bad as Hodgins and Angelas wedding is interrupted. I just hope if Booth and Bones ever do become romantically involved the writers stay away from these types of corny cliches. However, i think the writers are smart enough to keep Booth and Bones apart romantically so they can keep the chemistry coming. Afterall any show that rely's heavily on the chemistry of the main two characters goes to ruin after those two characters end up with one another. Bones is a good show that was developing into something special before the hodgins: angela storyline came along.

  • Bones - Anatomy at it's Best !
    By A19BEETZR98WIM on 2007-09-06
This is a great show. All of the characters are fantastic. You can really feel the emotions building between Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel)and FBI Agent Seely Boothe(David Boreanaz). The script is well written and each episode keeps you on edge. I have followed David Boreanaz all through Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel and he has been fantastic. Can't wait for season three to start.

  • Some changes for the better this time
    By A18758S1PUYIDT on 2007-09-19
This show got even better in its second season, with the arrival of the tough new Cam as the boss of the squints, the wonderful Stephen Fry appearing as Booth's psychiatrist, Angela and Hodgins falling in love, and wonderboy Zach being promoted and getting a new haircut in the process. The characters and the show are really coming into their own now. I look forward to season 3.

  • Bones 2nd Season--Where is Episode 22?
    By A2NDU1O1ZOAHKG on 2007-09-27
Episode 22 "Player Under Pressure," is missing from my set. I only have 21 episodes. And I can't seem to get any answers about the missing episode. Has anyone received all 22 episodes? Also, who was the gravedigger?

  • Super "Bones" fan
    By A308SAWURCAGM8 on 2007-10-09
Outstanding writing and acting by all players. Just enough sexual tension to keep you wanting more.

  • GREAT show!
    By AI8IS7TXIWR0S on 2007-10-23
I've never really been a fan of those CSI- type shows because it never felt like it had enough of a personality. Those kinds of shows always made me feel kinda clueless about what they were talking about because everything sounded so technical. But this show is very different!! The characters do describe everything with the technical verbiage, but because of the character (Booth) played by David Boreanaz, everything is explained in layman's terms as well. Also, this show is very funny...not to mention filled with the sexual tension that keeps you coming back for more to see if Booth and Bones will ever get together.

I HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone! You don't even really have to watch it from the beginning. Every episode can stand for itself and keep anyone entertained!

  • BONES is a 5 Stars show

  • Maddie and David move over!
    By AH2QKILI6VL3Q on 2007-09-14
The sexual tension, enuendos and witty reparte is what makes this show on Fox so good. But it's the actors that carry it off that makes it a GREAT SHOW. David Boreanaz, the marvelous character actor that he is, has enough soul and sex appeal for all the women on Bones and more! Bones Season 2 is (I can't believe I am saying this) even better than the "5 starred" Season One. Smart, smart dialog and funny, funny situations keep me watching the characters, Booth and Brennen, over and over again. I can't wait until Season Three begins on September 25. Please watch it if you haven't seen it before.

  • Disappointing second season
    By AZMLUFGD0UR3L on 2007-10-04
While I absolutely LOVED Bones season 1, which motivated purchasing season 2, this season (2) was TRULY DISAPPOINTING! Season 2 was so touchy feely, lovey dovey with Bones/Sully, Booth, Jack and Angela, that I thought series had developed into a "chick" series like sex in the city or friends. Everyone in series had a "relationship" except Zac, (who it appears may have other things developing for season 3 but not enough to keep you tuned in). The interaction, humor, fun development of the various characters in season 1 became second seat to the "relationships". Also the plots and "villians" became too transparent too soon in almost every episode.

As a final note, I thought the foolishness of the last episode (Jack and Angela "running" off AND especially Angela's Dad from ZZ Top, having to leave for a GIG was totally stupid-like what dad is going to walk his child down the isle and not stay another 30 minutes for the cerimony? Its not like rock stars arent alway on time at concerts and frankly havent heard or seen ZZ Top listed in concert in years!!! they havent even become like a Foriegnor or Journey, ie, will play county fairs!) Anyway, foolish, silly, and ridiculous season ender.

A real disappointment for what was a GREAT series. Hope that they get rid of some of the touchy feelie female writers for next year.

  • Even more fun the second time around
    By A8UCVBOESXQWM on 2007-10-09
First of all, thanks to Fox for releasing the second season before the start of season 3. This gave new viewers a little time to catch up on what they missed.

This DVD collection is great - encapsulating elements that were missing on the Season 1 DVDs including outtakes, wonderfully crafted to give us a close-up look at what happens behind the scenes.

This season delves further in to the psyches of both Booth and Brennan, along with the traditional cases of grime and gore. Bones is a must-have for any fan of crime drama - with a sense of humor. X-Filers will love it.

  • Bones Second Season-terrific!
    By AQT3AVWKCC3B8 on 2007-10-11
Wanted to enjoy the second season DVD set of Bones the second season much more slowly but each episode was terrific so have just about finished - definitely worth having on your shelf. Quality of product is wonderful. You will want all seasons.

  • Writing and acting are top notch!
    By AW7ESNZLK9LAH on 2007-10-26
I also came to watch Bones through the "Buffy" connection. Lucky for me! Like that iconic series, Bones is blessed with great writing, character development, and acting. My favorite part of season 2 by far is the interplay between Booth and his psychiatrist played by Stephen Fry. Who ever cast Mr. Fry in that part is brilliant. I would encourage all of my fellow Buffyologists to watch Bones. It helps fill the void!

  • Reasons to press pause
    By A3TLX5CLH7NEL1 on 2007-11-11
I can't explain what exactly is lacking in Bones. Is it the fact that I end up figuring out the result before the episode is over? Is it the fact that much of the dialog seems forced? Is it that I have had an overdose of CSI and, to that extent, Bones just doesn't keep me hooked. I was not too enthusiastic about Season One but went ahead and bought Season Two anyway. I had a hard time finishing each episode. There are some mystery/detective series that keep you hooked. You cannot tear yourself away from the TV till you have reached the end of the episode, and if you have a collection, you want to put on the next episode. This is not the case with Bones. You find reasons to press the pause button.

  • A Classic in the making.
    By A2SJYJ5HIPTY16 on 2008-05-21
I can't come up with anything I don't like about Bones. The whole cast is like a genuine family. David and Emily are better than good and the writing is outstanding with interesting and unique story lines. I own season one and two DVDs and will be standing in line for season three. I'm an old time David Boreanaz fan since the first episode of Buffy to eight years later with Angel 5. I'm one of the ones that cringed to see Booth walk out into the sunlight (after loving him for eight years as a vampire). Let's hope this series has a very long life ahead.

  • I love this show
    By A2AXZA5T3BNWE9 on 2007-07-15
I got started watching season one of Bones by accident. I just started following along and became addicted. Now I LOVE this show. I love the chemistry between the actors and I cant wait for season 3 to start! I hope they keep this show going for a long time!

  • We return to the scene of the crime
    By A1OBPHRXHZF8P6 on 2007-09-16

Building on the momentum of its first season, this Fox series continues successfully combining the morbidity of forensic investigation with the intrigue of budding office romances.

Spicing things up, an old girlfriend of Booth's, Dr. Camile 'Cam' Saroyan (Tamara Taylor) becomes Dr. Brennan's boss ("The Titan on the Tracks"). Initially uncertain they can work together, they soon hammer out a workplace agreement, creating a truce.

Ironically, this hard-nosed boss's life later becomes endangered after she inhales a toxin in "The Man in the Cell". It creates a little drama in the workplace--and for viewing audiences--while she is recovering.

Booth also has a personal problem of his own to deal with during this season His ex-girlfriend is letting her new boyfriend spend time with their son--whom he is very protective of ("Mother and Child in the Bay"). Boreanaz does some of his most convincing acting as the 'concerned parent of a young child'. I am shocked that the writers of this series haven't promoted it through more balance of Booth's parenting.

"The Girl With the Curl" obviously drew it's inspiration from the still-unsolved Jon Benet Ramsey case. Brennan and Booth have to figure out who killed a child beauty queen before tragedy strikes again, and are visibly concerned. They've seen all kinds of stuff on this job, but learning what children undergo to be considered 'pretty' really pushes their limits. They are further surprised to discover the actual identity of the killer.
