  While not an essential, this thin, easy-to-use skin adds a scosh of protection,improved grippability, and improved stability on smooth surfaces to my Curve. It also makes the phone a bit less likely to fall out of a breast pocket. The holes for various ports (and the camera) are perfect. Not quite as rubbery as I'd expected. I'm glad I got it.
  
  Available in a wide variety of colors, but black goes with everything.

  I'm very happy with this skin. It is a smooth black rubber, with an embossed "Blackberry" logo on the back. It is very sleek and adds very little bulk, yet seems to provide a nice level of protection (I dropped my Curve with this on and it's still working just fine). One question I had as I was shopping was whether or not this includes a face protector for the Curve. It does not -- the face is not protected, so you may want to order separate face protectors to avoid scratching. The skin provides good access to all buttons, including the popular "standby" button on top, and the two slots on top that I haven't figured out why they exist yet (cooling?).
  
  
  
  

• Good item but not perfect

  This skin adds a nice bit of protection to my BB Curve. It slips on easily and amazingly has only come off on rare occasions. It is soft and easy to grip but I do have some gripes.
  
  I carry my Curve in my pocket. When I wear pants it is no problem but I can't carry the curve in jeans when it is in this skin.
  
  1) It doesn't offer protection to the screen and keyboard. I know that would make it hard to use but it is something to consider.
  
  2) The edges constantly flop around and catch on things. As I take it out of my jeans pocket it grabs the edge of the jeans pocket, comes off and flops around.
  
  So I give it 4 stars. It is better than nothing but I have ordered a hard case. I will see if that works better.

  The first thing that happened when I applied the skin to my blackberry is it slipped right out of my hand and hit the floor. The rubber is actually pretty slick, and impairs your grip on the phone. Whether it protects it from the shock of hitting the ground, I have no idea.
  
  Additionally, the fit itself is loose, and can come off accidentally if it's pulled out of something that does adhere to it, such as denim. So if you're the sort that carries the phone around in your pocket, rather than on a holster, the skin is just about worthless.
  
  However, it does offer some very minor water protection, and does prevent the back from getting scratched (although I have no idea why people would be worried about the back of the phone), and it's dirt cheap. There are better products on the market, but this one is the cheapest. And, of course, you get what you pay for.

  The skin definitely does what it's intended to do, and is a perfect fit for the Curve. In addition, it improves the look of the phone (in my opinion). The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I would have expected the skin to have a little more "grip" to it. While it definitely protects the phone from drops, it doesn't really improve the "slip out of your hand" factor... Overall, great product.

  Skin actually saved my blackberry. Left the house and drove about 1/4 mile and realized had left Blackberry at home. Went home...no blackberry. Went to car and it was on roof of the car. Had driven 1/2 mile with it up there and only reason it didn't fall off was skin.

  The blackberry skin is a good protection for the phone without adding a lot of bulk. With the skin, the phone still fits in the leather case that clips to my purse. It is soft and does not add grip but does add protection. Overall I really like it.

  I don't know what sort of polymer is used in making this product, but it rocks. The cover slides in and out of my pocket. It doesn't get stuck like other covers.

  Wouldn't recommend. A friend had something similar which is what I thought was getting but this is a flimsy silicon cover not the harder thing they had.

  Good product, but another sad example of a low priced product with shipping cost several times the product cost. So, you don't find out until you review the final cart, and then Holy Ship! What a rude surprise. I wouldn't buy from a vendor this shady. It seems a lot of outside amazon vendors do this - beware!
  
  
• Just slide it in your pocket...

  and you'll instantly see whats wrong with this product. It has nothing holding it on! I bought it, tried to slide it my pocket and it instantly just stretched off my curve.
  
  This might be a nice skin for a girl, she can put it in her purse... but for most people, its like putting your jacket on your shoulders and running down a hill... its going to fly off unless you put your arms in the sleeves, this case nothing to hold it on! Flimsy, and not to mention it protects NOTHING on the front.

  I would definitely suggest one of these to anyone with a Blackberry. Fits the device perfect, and really saves you from dropping the device, and from scratching up the back of it. Still fits in my RIM leather case too which is nice (a little snug but it definitely wont be falling out of it).

  This product was perfect, I loved it, it's a really great skin, it offers good protection to all the parts that it covers. I am looking at my previous 8700 and all the borders are wasted, they look awful.
  
  I have to say, however, that I then bought a swivel holster and I can't use both at the same time (the holster is perfectly tight). So I've been using that holster more and more without the skin.
  
  If you don't have anything, I'd go and buy this. If you have the holster, you might not need it.

  This thing really shouldn't be selling for over a dollar. It does an adequate job of protecting the back and sides of my BlackBerry Curve 8300, but leaves the entire front vulnerable and prone to scratching. Putting this skin on prevents you from using the holster (unless you really cram it in there), so keep that in mind. It also seems to gather dust and lint really easily. After I tried this for a day, I realized that I feel a lot safer with my BlackBerry in my holster, so I'll be sticking with that.

  Product arrived exactly as I anticipated but I didn't like the "bulky" look it added to the otherwise sleek BB. It was snug but not tight enough that occasionally it would slip off (if I was digging for it in my giant purse). If you want to protect your BB while retaining it's look I recommend getting anti-scratch sticker covers applied to the screen, frame and back. (Check cell phone accessories kiosks in your local mall.)

  you can't beat the price on this skin. the holes line up perfectly, and it creates a great non-slip surface for the phone. my main issue is that it moves around too much/feels like it's going to come off when i pull it out of my pocket.

  This skin is pretty good. It helps to not getting the phone all messed up in the back. Cause everytime you put it down you can get a mark. All in all it does the job and I'm pretty happy with it. Also has a space for every button.

  This is a nice product to have for the Curve. It adds protection to the whole body except the screen and keyboard. I added a screen protector for my Curve. I was hoping to use this with the Pouch that came with the phone, but the skin makes it just a little too snug when using the pouch. The skin gives a nice feel to the phone because of its rubbery feel. I accidentally dropped my phone and if I didn't have the skin, the back of the phone would have been all scratched up. The only thing I would change is to have it fit a little more snug to the phone. Other than that, I think it's a great product and I would recommend it all Curve users.

  For the price, this is a perfectly good cover. It fits just great, allowing access to everything you need to get to. No screen protector, but I'd rather get the temporary/separate ones anyway.

  As some the reviewers have mentioned, this is not a "skin-tight" product. However, it appears to work very well...I have dropped my Blackberry 3 times onto a concrete pavement, but the product has kept the various pieces of the phone together and has appeared to cushion the impact. Bottom line...my phone still works!
