Sleek and typical Logitech By A3PZSUP3ZOUTCT on 2007-09-29
First, it's a multi-plug connector for USB. Pretty mundane. But beautiful and functional.
Now past the ordinary. It is a sleekly designed 4-port hub with a light indicator for each live connection. Helpful to ensure the plug is properly seated. It is very compact which means it can fit in your shirt pocket -- snugly perhaps. While there are cheaper ones, the build quality, as well as the cosmetic appearance, are traditional high quality that we've come to expect from Logitech.
I have used mine with G4, G5, and MacBook Pro computers, and it functions flawlessly.
One small performance variation, when left plugged in a few days, a new plug was inserted and it wasn't active. I unplugged the hub and re-plugged it in, and everything was fine. I think it was due to the vagaries of the USB interface, since it hasn't happened again since.
I would quickly buy another if I needed one.
Excellent Hub with 1 Major Problem By A15FUKVQL8CIQJ on 2007-10-09
This is an excellent hub, doesnt overheat, love the lightup usb displays.
The only problem is that it is advertised as a powered usb hub, and even says on the phamphlet you get in the box to look on the logitech site for its compatable usb/ac wall adapter, however after looking and calling logitech THEY DONT MAKE IT YET.
big let down. logitech reps told me they will be making one, its just not available yet.
Great hub if you just need the slots, but hold off if you need the AC/USB adapter.
Inconvenient External Power By A38NWOMXWBNO9P on 2008-02-27
The external power adapter for this hub does not ship with the unit, and as of this writing is available only direct from Logitech's website at a cost of $9.95 plus shipping ($5.95 standard) and sales tax, taking the total cost of this hub to almost $50. Not a bargain, and I wouldn't buy it again even though it works well and looks wonderful.
Great hub but mislead on 9.99 power By APEOXZOK4S3PI on 2008-02-24
I bought this hub and I think it is great but I am not impressed with the lack of power. This can be powered hub but you need to spend another 10 bucks to get the 5w of power. I feel that they should have included the power with the hub not make it an accessory to an accessory.
This would be a 5 star if it had the power included.
I don't know what's so premium about it... By A3J3ZHGDUDPCFL on 2008-03-17
The product works well. I picked it because of the price after rebate. I could have went with any other hubs.
I took one star off because the designers decided that it's OK to assume the USB standard governs the world and pack the ports. To be sure, any device (like the thumbdrive in one of the pictures) that is too wide and block the near-by port is probably non-compliant. But we don't live in a standards-compliant world and so we should design around this.
For those who wants to power the hub: it's just a standard 5V 3.5mm jack. You probably have one of those mini power bricks sitting around in the house.
- sleek lookin, works nicely
     By AFSVO2X2ECRD2 on 2007-08-01
im one who wont buy something if i dont like the look of it and the reason why i bought this over others is the look along with the basic 4-port function i need. i trust logitech also as theyve never done me wrong. when i got it in the mail today it turned out smaller than i thought. comes with the usb cable which is about 1ft and isnt one of the cheap ones, it feels very durable. the small size is great since i will be carrying it with my laptop, but i cant plug in 2 of my thumb drives side by side because the ports are so close together. and one of them wont even plug in a certain port. i dont know what thats all about because it fits in every other port and my other thumb drive fits in it, its just that one drive in that one port. it works great and is perfect for travelling with! usb powered so no external power adapter neccesary, even though it has a plug in for it...
- Awesome
     By AIY8MZKMR8XGB on 2007-10-25
I've been using this usb hub for about a month, and everything works great.
It's very smal, and portable can fit into your pocket. If you're looking for a notebook usb hub, this one is a right choice
- Stylish, worked with MacBook but did not work with hard drive
     By A96G54QLELU9V on 2008-02-29
I really liked the design of this hub. Its small, stylish and I liked the LED connection indicators. It worked perfectly with my MacBook Air for some of my devices, but it did not work with my Western Digital 320GB hard drive, and I imagine this is true for most external hard drives. It worked perfectly with my thumb drives.
- Sleek and stays put
     By A9EITW7P8WS8U on 2008-03-22
I use a iMac and am constantly in need of more ports. Purchased this but had to order the optional power supply from logitech as others stated for $10. Its not required to have and is fine for normal use. But Im not using it on a laptop and would rather have a independent power supply for it.
Unlike other hubs this one stays put flat on my desk.
The only draw back is that the power supply connects on one side and the usb connection is on the other. I wish both were on a single side to have a cleaner look.
- No drivers available
     By A42T229IEFFE5 on 2008-09-17
Beware, not VISTA compatible as advertised. Would not install on my 7" XP portable. No drivers available.
What the heck? I wouldn't call this premium.
- No Power Adapter Included!
     By A3F50ZNHQ44TT2 on 2008-09-28
Works great for usb devices that have their own power supply. But since it doesn't come with a power adapter (even though one was designed for it and is IMPOSSIBLE to find one to buy) power hungry devices still need to be plugged directly into my laptop.
- Can't even power a mouse
     By A3TD4QQF8FXMXG on 2008-09-29
Great hub, if you spend the extra $20 or so dollars for the "optional" power transformer. This thing doesn't even provide enough power to run my mouse, much less 2, 3, or 4 items at once.
If the accessories you plan on using with it have their own power source (such as a printer), then it's great, but if you want to run a mouse, usb hard drive, flash drive, phone adapter, etc. Get something else that has its own power supply.
- Excellent!!!

- easy, simple, works...
     By AEPL5QZUY412N on 2008-03-04
no complaints, works fine, small and compact and easy to hide. also the non-skid pad on the bottom is a nice touch.
- Good Hub
     By AC8T6BD63678S on 2008-03-29
This hub works great, high quality as expected from a Logitech product. The connector displays on each port is cool. Surprised at the small size, easily stored in briefcase.
- Nice product.
     By A1T1CT8FU5PYY4 on 2008-04-09
This 4-port hub is very compact and works as one would expect. Standard size flash drives will fit side-by-side, but with no clearance. Practically speaking, it works best with only two devices attached, but will hold additional devices if attached by a cable. If you plan on using all four ports, you might need the optional power cable available from Logitec. It worked fine for me with two flash drives and an i-pod attached. I give it five stars even though it would be nice if the ports were an eighth of any inch farther apart.
- Real slick little hub
     By A2HCMW0RU59GPJ on 2008-04-17
The design and green light up indicators for the ports (though basically useless, unless perhaps if you want to glance and tell if a memory stick has been unmounted) are what sold me on this.
Have used it with 2 high capacity usb sticks simultaneously.
- problematic with LaCie external hard drive for Mac
     By A30O0WGO4W9HX on 2008-04-27
My external hard drive (LaCie) has two usb cores, both need to be plugged into the computer for the hard drive to work. The port does not recognize one of the cores. That is when I plug it in, the green light indicating connection does not turn on and the lap top doesn't show the hard drive. I tries many variations (like plugging into different entries in the port itself or turning on and of, doing things gradually) and nothing works. The port works well with ipod and digital camera. So if you are a Mac user and thinking to buy this port in order to connect your external LaCie hard drives, don't do it.
- expected more
     By A19899XGKMY7Z5 on 2008-05-26
Functionally it works fine. I have not yet had the need for extra power supply for this unit. There are 2 things that bother me. The ports are packed too close - using 1 port blocks the next one. Also the cable provided is short; little over 3 ft.
- A Logical Choice
     By A3H5PTN9RMM20D on 2008-07-18
I've tried a variety of USB hubs, most of which were disappointing. With USB hubs, the biggest issue you are likely to run into, is consistency. Many cheaper hubs either work, or malfunctions right off bat. Others surprise you by dropping peripherals. All this amounts to a waste of time bundled with the added inconvenience of having to return defective hubs and or buying new ones only to confront another cycle of inconsistency.
In a nutshell, my opinion is to pay slightly more for a dramatically better product (or something that actually works). The Logitech 4-port Hub is well-built, slick, and as far as I'm concerned, very reliable. I have plugged 2 500GB hard-drives, along with a MIDI keyboard and a mouse to the hub (occupying all four slots), and I haven't experienced any dropping of peripherals or compromised transfer speeds for my hard-drives. (Hub connected to my MacBook Pro)
All this translates to more productivity and less time wasted looking for something that works. For me, the search for a USB hub is over. The Logitech is everything I need it to be.
- Good product, swiftly delivered
     By A2BHJM6I4ZTPVU on 2008-09-23
The logitech 4 port premium USB hub works great on my Apple notebook. Giving no problems with the logitech wireless mouse and head set.
- THESE ARE FANTASTIC!

- Excellent Compact USB Hub
     By A3M6WPDYG7AYRI on 2008-04-19
The Logitech Premium 4-port USB hub is excellent, its compact size adds to versitility, whether with a desktop or laptop and aids in space consumption for travel. I highly recommend.
- I thought i needed it.
     By A38L5I9MY8A959 on 2008-07-02
I bought this for my macbook air. I havent used it yet. Will comeback for future comments.
- Convenient
     By A8NF7744JO00I on 2008-08-13
Convenient and appealing design. However, some USB mice do not work very well with this hub.
