  This laptop sleeve is just as described. I own a 17 inch HP pavillion and it easily slides inside this sleeve. Although this sleeve is only neoprene and has no solid construction, it still protects the laptop from scratches and minor bumps. It is also thin enough to still fit into another bag, such as a backpack. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

  I tried both this sleeve and the NY Built. This one zips about 1/2 way around and you can easily fit your new laptop in it; without scratching it on the zippers; if you had to squeeze it in the sleeve like the NY Built type.

  THIS ITEM IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR...AND I DO MEAN LOOK. I SEARCHED HIGH & LOW LOCALLY FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO NO AVAIL. THERE ARE VERY FEW GOOD OPTIONS FOR A 17" LAPTOP.
  
  I REALLY LIKE THE COLOR (MY LAPTOP IS RED WITH BLACK SO IT MATCHES PERFECTLY), AND ALTHOUGH THAT WASN'T MY HIGHEST PRIORITY, I AM DELIGHTED THAT I HAD THIS COLOR OPTION.
  
  THE SLEEVE UNZIPS HALFWAY DOWN EACH SIDE, MAKING IT VERY CONVENIENT TO REMOVE OR INSERT THE LAPTOP HORIZONTALLY OR VERTICALLY. MY DELL FITS PERFECTLY...THERE IS NO PLAY FOR IT TO BUMP AROUND, AND YET IT ZIPS UP EASILY WITHOUT SCRATCHING THE EDGES.
  
  THIS ITEM IS ALL I HOPED FOR AND THE PRICE IS ACCEPTABLE AS WELL.

  Lovely sleeve. the colors are nice, the material is soft and light yet provides a sturdy grip when carrying. My only complaint is that it is just a little too big. My 17" Macbook Pro slides around a good deal, but with the extra padding and protective lining to keep the zippers from scratching the laptop inside, it still works very well. The matching bag is a good investment as well, though you will be pressed for room with the laptop and sleeve inside it.

  Belkin Neoprene Notebook Sleeve for 17-Inch Laptop (F8N049-BR)
  This sleeve is perfect! I looked everywhere for a laptop sleeve that would fit my huge 17" screen but had no luck until trying Amazon.The most common size found was for a 15". This sleeve is constructed in a way that allows my laptop to easily slide in because half of the sleeve unzips. It's also thin enough to slide into the beautiful leather bag that I already owned however still provides enough cushion for protection of my laptop and the color is also fashionable. I didn't want a common black one so this fits my needs completelely and I would recommend this sleeve to anyone.
  
  
• Great Protective Case for Laptops, but Odd Smell

  I bought this case, so I can put my laptop into a larger bag without it being scratched or ruined. It is great for that protective purpose, but I would not recommend it for other use because there isn't a handle. It's not easy to carry around in this case; therefore, I only recommend it if you want to put it into a backpack or a larger bag. I also purchased the Belkin Neoprene Mouse Trap Mouse Pad & Bag as well to go with it. I highly recommend purchasing them together for a great set:

  My only complaint (and why I took off a star) is because it has a horrible rubber smell to it. I even left it outside to air out for a day and it still smells like rubber. If you are easily affected by smells I would not recommend this product.

  I love this sleeve. I bought it for my HP 17 inch laptop and it fits beautifully. The zippers are very heavy duty and opens to slip the laptop from the top or side. I bought it along with the messanger bag. Love the color also.

  The sleeve snugly fits my HP Pavilion dv9500t 17-inch notebook. The padding is thin enough to allow easy handling of the notebook and can be slipped into a backpack or other bag without difficulty, while providing some protection against bumps and scratches. The zipper and material seem to be high quality.

  I looked for quite some time for a case for my 17" Dell Inspiron. I read the reviews of different products and the reviews for this seems to fit my needs. I like it because it's light, it's soft and it fits my Dell like a glove. I also bought the coordinated Belkin Mouse Trap Mouse Pad and I recommend it too!

  This product is a great fit for my 17-in. laptop. I've had such a hard time finding a cover for it so when I saw it I had to have it. It's a great price for a great item. It help prevent scratches on the top of my laptop and it comes in fun colors! I love the pink! I highly recommend this product!

  The Belkin Notebook Sleeve does NOT properly fit an Apple 17" Pro--it slides around inside. The protection for the zipper is not ample and could scratch the sides of the computer. There should be at least a small accessory pocket for the remote control. It's just two slabs of nothing sewn together and priced double what it's worth.

  I'm a college student who was looking for something cheap to protect my laptop in my backpack on my way to class. Although this project is rather expensive (Im a poor college student) but it was worth the price. This laptop sleeve is great! It came quickly too. I wasn't sure what size laptop I had (It just says widescreen) so I ordered the 17" just to be save this sleeve has plenty of room for my laptop and zips really easily and fits in my backpack too. Great for carrying my laptop back and forth to and from class. I would definitely recommend this product. I <3 the colors too although its more of a grey and pink rather than a white and pink but its still a good product.

  I recently bought a new 17" HP laptop and began what seemes would be a never ending quest for a case to put it in. I purchased many other items saying that they would fit my 17", and they definitely did not. This item actually fits, and with a little room to spare. I don't have to stretch and strain to zip up the case. It is perfect to protect my new laptop from scratches and whatever else I may throw in my bag with it. I also bought the matching mouse trap by Belkin, and it's a must have too!

  Just picked this up for a Gateway FX 6831. I was a little concerned because of this laptops awkward battery that protrudes from the back of the laptop about three quarters of an inch. The sleeve fits like it was made for this laptop. There is a piece of piping on the inside of the zipper that should prevent the zipper from coming in contact with the laptop (a very tight fit when zipped up). I cant comment on the durability yet as I just received it today.
  
  I purchased the matching mouse trap as well; it doesnt match very well, it is a tad lighter than the laptop sleeve. The trim piece that is about 1" is a very close match to the sleeves color. It was a lot bigger than I had envisioned too. A full sized mouse will swim in it, my Microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse could bring four of his friends along and still be comfortable. It came with a pouch and I discovered that my PSP fit very nicely in the mouse trap :)

  The sleeve is very nice, fits the laptop well, and is a lovely color. However, the smell isn't. We returned it for a second one and it was a bit less smelly. Since my daughter needed it for college, we kept it and sprayed it with perfume.

  I purchased this right after I bought my new laptop last year and I've been using it ever since. I also have a computer bag I use along with it when I go on longer outings, but this is enough for everyday use when I just need to grab it and go for a couple hours. I like the color options they have so you're not just using the standard black like every other person around you might have. I went with what they call dove/tarragan (grey & green). It fits my 17 inch Dell just fine and seems to be made well enough to last for quite some time. If I find myself needing another, I'll buy from Belkin again.

  I saw items similar to this in the stores, but NO ONE carries them for larger 17" laptops. I was pumped to find this one...I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find. I was looking for something stylish but not bulky despite how large my computer is. This is the perfect solution for being able to carry your laptop in a seperate bag if needed while still remaining protected. I went for the 3 piece set - the bag, the zipper sleeve and the mouse compartment.

  If you're looking to keep your laptop in good shape and if you travel as much as I do, I reccomend the Belkin Neoprene Sleeve. My laptop is protected in my backpack and my Belkin provides me with sense of security from scratches and dings not to mention other possible damages that can occur when I transport my laptop.

  This sleeve is fantastic. I have no complaints really. It fits my 17" dv9700t HP Pavillion with no problem and there is a lining on the inside to protect the laptop from the zipper. The design is very clean cut and simple, I fell in love, so I also bought the matching bag. I highly recommend, especially to those with laptops that are a bit on the larger side.
