• Spend the Extra for a Protective Case

  Here's the case that is a MUST if you have the TomTom 720. It fits (as the saying goes "like a glove." The sides zipper, and the inside is orange with the inside sides having an elastic on them so that the case does not "flop" open all the way when unzipped. There is a lanyard included that can be put on the one end so enable the case to be carried on your wrist or such.
  
  The case is hard, but not the what I'd call reinforced so that you could expect the case to hold up to several pounds of pressure on it. But it's good to protect against bumps and such, and is better than a soft case.
  
  If you're going to spend the money for a portable GPS, then you need this protective case.
  
  My only negative is that these necessary extras should be included as some other brands do (but with cost this is becoming less). The only other thing I'd advise would be is to purchase a pack of screen protectors (they usually come in a pack of 4 or 5 but you only need to use one then save the rest) and apply it to the screen to protect against finger grease and scratches.

  This carrying case is perfect for the TomTom 720. It's felt lined and made of good strong materials and it is not too bulky. This is not entirely hard but very protective. The reason I did not give it a 5 star is I think it is a little expensive.

  The dimensions for the 720 and 9XX series units are exactly the same, and the case fits my 920 perfectly, easy zipper, sturdy shell, strong wrist strap. the only (very minor) con is the tomtom only fits into the case in one direction, so if you slip it into the case the wrong way you need to flip it around. I highly recommend it.

  When I first got this case, I thought it was pretty good, though a little pricey. The only problem I had with it was that it was hard to close. As another reviewer said, "It fits like a glove."
  
  But after a couple of months, the zipper broke. It was the typical sort of break where the teeth on one side get pulled out of the zipper itself. I'm going to try to fix it myself, but for the price I was expecting higher quality.

  Having purchased a TomTom 920, the only thing the unit did not come with was a protective case. Shame on TomTom since a case, even a simple one should have accompanied the product to begin with. Upon discovering this case, I immediately purchased one and have found this case to be very well worth the money spent!
  
  The interior is lined and the case itself which is zippered, is a semi-hard material which can withstand slight drops and more importantly, protect the TomTom's screen from scratches. The fit itself is snug and right on the money for the TomTom 720/920. Keep in mind there is no room for anything else but the TomTom. It even comes with a wrist strap which I found quite handy.
  
  All in all, I am very happy with this case!

  Navigon makes a similar cast for $19. I bought one for my 920 since the TT case was out of stock. I am very satisfied with the Navigon case and the extra $10 in my pocket.
  
  I also like that the case doesn't say TOMTOM on it.

• Handy case but has some flaws

  This case gets the job done to an extent. It holds my TomTom snuggly and protects it when in my bag. However, I wish it was large enough to hold the charger and the suction cup.
  
  Both of these items are necessary when using TomTom so it would be nice to have them all together in one place. Instead I have to remember to grab all three of them separately when exiting the vehicle or I have to fumble around to find them all in my laptop bag.

  This carrying case has a sleek look to it...it's hardcover case protects our Tom-Tom from scratches and accidental falls. The zipper was a bit tough around the edges in the beginning, but with use, it seems to be easier to zip around now. LOVE IT!

  I had been looking for this case everywhere but it was sold out. That alone shows how good of a case it is. It fits my tomtom720 perfectly. very compact. not bulky at all and i can fit in in any purse with all my junk. get it! :)
  
  
• Overpriced

  Can this thing really be priced $24.95?! It's a simple case and it does its job, but the price is a rip-off in regards to the quality. Plus, it looks cheap, especially with the huge "Made in China" tag that jumps out and grabs you when you open the case. I've seen comparable Samsonite hard-shell cases at Wal-Mart for $7.99. If I had to do it all over again I'd scrap the case with the cute TomTom hands and get a good, if not better, hard case from my local store.
  
  
• Sturdy but the zipper sucks

  Nice design, very sleek, handy, and sturdy. But the zipper sucks big time. The zipper was partially non-functional from day 1 but I made it work somehow for many days. Few days the zipper pin came out and broke the zipper and now it totally a waste carrying case.

  I bought this case for my TomTom 130. It was poorly constructed, and the case's seams had to stretch to fit around the GPS unit. It did not simply "drop in" as the packaging described. Plus, the inside wasn't too soft, so I was worried about scratching the screen.
  
  I ended up returning this, and buying a different type of case at Staples (marketed as an IPod case, but it fits perfectly). This new case cost only $6, had room to store the power cord, and was completely lined to prevent the screen from scratching.

  The case is real nice except when you zip it up the zipper splits and opens up. I sent it back for another case, so far I have not received the new case. I bought two cases and the other one was fine.

  Pros: The case is rigid and provides good protection to the unit
  CONS: The zipper broke after about a week (zipper teeth split, and you cannot re-align it by starting at either end-the case is worthless to me now). Even before the zipper broke, it was very difficult to zip or unzip it since the unit fit so tightly in it. Also, there is no room for ANY accessories-the Tom Tom Go GPS unit barely fits in it by itself

  The case is molded to fit the TomTom and is a nice handy way to keep it protected when I'm not using it.   For some reason it's always labeled as the case for the 720 and doesn't mention 920 even though it works with the 920. Perfect fit and ideal protection while still making it easy to fit in the glove caprtment and makes you feel confident it wont' get damaged no matter how full your glovebox is.
  
  I think it is crazy they dont' include a case when you buy a GPS however that being said I definitely recommend this product.

  This is case is great! Like many of the other reviewers have said, it has a sleek design and is both well constructed and durable. One additional thing that is worth noting is that the case fits the TomTom GO 930 like a glove.
  
  I had seen this case on several websites before purchasing. The case is always advertised as an accessory for the TomTom GO 720 -- with no mention of the other TomTom GO models. I was relatively dissatisfied with the available cases for the GO 930. When I compared the dimensions of the GO 720 and the GO 930, I was delighted to see that they were almost identical in size. Based on that, I decided to order this case.
  
  I can tell you from first-hand experience that the case fits the TomTom GO 930 like a glove. Moreover, I am very please with the design, construction and function of the case.
