Excellent choice for a few dollars By A2WGZA4K6WS6WH on 2007-09-10
Execellent choice. This item is the same like other more expensive. Great choice if you are a handy worker (hobbyest like me).
Good stuff
Head Visor magnifier By A2CAU2TZSAQK7I on 2007-12-28
Wears well on the head and the lens plastic is pretty scratch resistant. But he loupe magnifier attached to the outside needs a different kind of mounting. The screw keeps coming loose and is a real bother when being used a lot while working with mineral specimens. You have to constantly keep using a small screw driver to tighten the screw; otherwise it keeps falling into your line of vision when looking at specimens or just swings back and forth when you turn your head even just a little. Does it work? Yes. Magnifies well and the loupe makes small specimens easy to see. But the mounting needs to be changed to something with a bit of friction that stays at that point of friction so you can do a lot of close work without the bother of constantly tightening it again and again.
Even at $10 it's overpriced. By A3AI3DRXWKV0T4 on 2008-03-22
Product arrived with only one LED working due to a poor solder connection, and there's enough lens distortion to make one ill. This is a "dollar store" item at best.
Excellent Magnifier Glasses for the price By A1A0ORK77TYW4J on 2008-01-18
I have no other magnifier glasses to compare with, but these work perfectly for my purposes - close up hobby work, repairing eye glasses, repairing very small items, etc. The LED "headlights" really work. The magnification of either power allows me to get a clear, close view. (I haven't needed the eye loop - and it has not fallen loose. If it does, I'll tighten it's screw!) The headband is comfortable, the velcro makes it easy to adjust. The price was unbelieveable! With no shipping! How do they do that?! Maybe I'll buy another one.

Head visor magnifier w/lamps By A70LRIBDKQEKD on 2007-12-17
Good for use in looking at my coin collection. The lights are extremely useful for this purpose.
- Great for the price
     By A194D5VMV2HUK6 on 2008-03-13
Needed a handfree magnifier to work on smaller projects. Works well. Not sure about the need for the whole visor thing but works well for the price. Almost paid $40 for the popular visor one at a hobby shop. Glad I checked Amazon. A bit on the cheap plasicy side but for the price - how can one complain - it does the job. Must be pretty close to the project you are working on though due to the fixed nature of the magniifcation.
Will it last, who knows, but at this price I can buy another.
- Great Bargain! Works perfectly.

Bought this because lowest price I could find, but was pleased at the quality for the price. Just ordered more of them for gifts.
- Excellent value

Compared to some other prices for identical sounding and looking items this is a terrific value. Adequate construction. Easy to use. Functions flawlessly.
- Nice

I do wish the lights were brighter, but otherwise this is a very nice visor with several different levels of magnification.
- Not Bad For The Price
     By A1X67FDVQF4LMU on 2008-07-23
These are pretty nice visors. The lights are a big plus but the little small loupe is really worthless. The lights don't work with the little loupe you have to move to close and the lights don't hit the area you are working on. For the price it is worth it.

- This type of magnifier has been used for years by jewelers and hobbyists so they could get a closer look at stamps, coins or delicate clasps. The Lighted Headband Magnifier offers up to 4.8X magnification without tying up your hands. The magnifying lenses are located in a visor-style brim that easily flips up when you don't need the magnification.
- Two main lenses offer a wide area of magnification that makes it easier to read. Slip the visor on your head, even over prescription glasses, to bring tiny details into clear focus. You'll be able see to tighten the screws on your glasses and both hands will be free to fix a broken link in a necklace!
- Although it is perfect for hobbyists, people with low vision will also appreciate the ability to read without having to slide or hold a magnifier over the reading material. It's true that the Headband Magnifier looks a little clunky, but it really does the job!
