Fun, fun, fun By AA4JW13VPXI8T on 2007-10-27
My son got this for his birthday, we had just encountered the fires in Sourthern Ca and he wasn't able to run outside for a week, well this game took care of it inside a house. It was great!!! I tried it and laughed so hard and was so out of breath!!! I love this game! Very simple at level 1 and too much thinking for me at level 4. Great for kids of all ages.
Love love love it! A must have! By A1HH5G0Z416N7P on 2007-11-03
I didn't know that this product won so many awards before I purchased it for my kids. I took it out on a rainy day and they have been playing with it for 2 hours straight! They are running around like crazy, cheering each other on, and loving the different games and levels. You can play alone or as teams. You can do colors, math (on higher levels), reverse hits, etc. This is awesome! For under $20 it's well worth it. And, they are getting out so much energy and exercising so much. It's fun for adults too! I haven't had it for more than one day, so I am not sure about durability, but I would think it is durable b/c it has won different awards. Definitely buy this toy!
Cool game for kids AND adults! By AK7CAW3N1XZV6 on 2007-12-03
We played this game with my 8 year old nephew this past weekend, and I must say, I was quite impressed! Hyper Dash is actually several different games in one, with a nice mix of physical versus mental challenges. Using the bell-shaped main tagger and the small plastic targets, players are challenged to do things such as tag the identified colors as quickly as possible, remember and repeat a series of colors, and more. Each game has several different levels, making the game appropriate for school-aged children to adults--perfect for parents playing along with kids! Plus, the tagger and targets are small and lightweight, making this game portable and thus great for travel. Highly recommended for kids and families!
Do not buy off of amazon! By A1ZJRU2Q1M1VZD on 2007-12-09
Do not buy off of amazon - they must be fully aware that this product is becoming hard to find - list price is 20.00 and is still available on many sites I have looked at! I cannot believe they are charging 99.00 for this product - so much for Christmas Cheer huh?
Look Out! By AU3GS4EGFN08P on 2007-12-01
Stand clear! After giving this toy as a birthday gift to the 9 year old neighbor, the entire party went nuts! They had it set up in a New York minute and were racing around squealing and cheering. Everyone from 9 to 16 years of age enjoyed this product. I would recommend a little supervision when they set it up, stear clear of socks on slippery flooring and put Fido in the back yard. It's too early to judge durability but it went onto several kids Christmas lists immediately! Your kids are gonna love this toy!
- What a blast!
     By A1C1XUSI4TIFN1 on 2007-12-07
This came up in my Amazon recommendations and I ordered it soley on the previous reviews. I didn't realize that my kids had seen the commercials for it on TV since it wasn't on their wish lists.
The second we put the batteries in and started to use it the fun didn't stop (for kids and adults). We have 4 people in our family so we can all play against each other - or in teams.
The best things about this is that it helps everyone get exercise indoors. It is also very portable - I plan on taking it with us to my parents house to play when the kids have down time.
We haven't played much with the higher levels but even at level 2 it seems that it starts to make you think.
Highly recommended - portable, durable and fun!
- Fun and exercise for the whole family
     By AA4YZE8ZV7J5B on 2008-02-25
My six-year-old nephew received this toy for Christmas, and as my mom and I watched him play, we looked at each other and were both thinking the same thing: We need one of those. After Christmas we both ordered our own Hyper Dash, hoping it would inspire us to do a little more exercise--and it has.
I spend most of my time sitting in front of a computer, and though I exercise on a treadmill every day, I'm always looking for something that will prompt me to move more. I set up the targets around my kitchen and dining area and do several run-throughs while the coffee is brewing in the a.m. or while dinner is cooking in the evening. It's a fun way to get the blood flowing. Mom has her targets set up in the family room and does a few mid-morning runs each day.
The educational value is so-so. The colored targets are numbered one to five and kids can learn to quickly identify colors and do simple math equations. But I can't say enough about this toy's value as a fun way to inspire kids--and adults of all ages--to get moving. In our family, it's a favorite of three generations.
- Why does this cost so much on Amazon?
     By A159GVT20OTP9C on 2007-12-09
This looks like an excellent toy. I did some web surfing and saw it for just over 21 dollars at Wal-mart and $19.99 at Sears! What is up with it costing over fifty dollars here????
- This toy gets everyone moving!! 5 yr olds to 41 year olds!
     By A3VHQTUUSX1P76 on 2007-12-27
I gave this toy to my 8 year old son for Christmas (trying to find something to grab his attetion that is not computer or game console based!). We loved it!! We had 3 40-something parents, and 3 kids (5,8 &11) playing it. It was a perfect antidote to too much Christmas food (parents) and too much computer time (kids). We set it up outside in the grass. Make sure everyone has suitable shoes, if it is slippery and your shoes aren't grabbing the surface, you could have some wipe outs. It was cold and clear (in between turns you needed a jacket but once you start your turn- jackets off!). Our 72 yr old dad opted to watch. I could see an adult could injure themselves with the bending and quick movements (like tennis movements?). Anyone who tends to be competitive, can really get into this game. We spent almost 2 hours playing the various levels and games (4 games- 2 of them team competetions and 4 levels for each). We switched teams around a lot, part of the fun and to keep it all balanced and even. Very funny to see the 5 year old niece with her Auntie zooming around as a team. We finally stopped because everyone was so tired, not that we were bored with the game! Our American society needs more of this type of game and less computer/ game console games!! Let's get movin!
Oh, is it educational? Oh please, games are about taking turns, playing fair, and being a good sport- if kids get that, they are set for life. If your kids can't play games well, no matter how much calculus they know, they are going to have a hard time in life. Ok, so off my soap box, there is a few addition problems in level 4, which our 5 year old seemed to handle fine. The adults probably took longer to add than the kids, which added to the fun.
I am buying more of these as gifts!!
- Looks like fun!!
     By A1UAZLBHM2U8JL on 2007-12-12
I looked at the price Amazon is asking, thought "what the heck???", read the reviews, thought I'd get this in spite of the ASTRONOMICAL price since it souned so great. Then one review said something about $19.99 @ Walmart, so I went looking around online and found it for $16.99!!! at etoys. I'm sorry, Amazon, but holy cow!!! How can you possibly ask this much for this toy?????????????????????????? I have bought a lot of things on Amazon, but let me tell you, this toy isn't one of them. I am looking forward to playing this with the kids!!
- DO NOT ORDER THIS FROM KAYCEESCLOSET!!
     By A1KL4IPNLIDJQY on 2008-01-10
The item is great, and kids really love it, but don't order this from Kayceescloset. I reviewed them negatively after they refused to communicate and then they lied in a response saying that Amazon didn't give me a refund because of their horrible antics. Amazon DID give me a refund, and Kayceescloset is horrible to deal with! Buy this toy any place else on Amazon, but not from Kayceescloset!
- Great idea for a toy!
     By A1R1Y4DXAK3G4T on 2007-12-15
We purchased this toy recently after reading other reviews. I am ususally skeptical because my kids are very hard to please when it comes to toys. We opened this about a week ago and it has been played with multiple times, every day. The game involves slamming a plastic plunger on top of colored disks - and so far, it hasn't skipped a beat, nothing is broken, and the toy is still like new. There are several different types of games & levels and so far my 6 and 8 year old can play fairly against each other, and can beat the lazy adults! I personally like the microdash option which is like the old Simon game - my memory just can't compete with an 8 yr old! We put the disks around the house so it doesn't take long to work up a sweat! Its great exercise (indoors!) and well designed.
- fun for all ages!
     By ALGP1L8L32Y10 on 2007-12-30
I bought this for my 2 daughters ages 7 and 9, and they love it. Funny thing is that all the adults love it too! It's a fast moving game that requires a good memory and some basic math skills. Very addictive!
- Fun for the whole family!
     By AJWAIPGRETU4I on 2008-01-10
This a great game for both children and adults. I bought it for my nephew who is 6 and the whole family played with it for hours. It is a dynamic game that helps improve coordination. It accepts up to 8 players.
There are four different games included with 4 levels. Players must follow the instructions given by ajoistick-like device and strike the targets (red, yellow, orange, green and blue) in the specified manner (sometimes colors are mentioned, sometimes numbers, or mathematical operations, for example 5-4). The player who completes the sequence in the least amount of time wins. The winner is announced at the end of each round.
My only complaint is there is no volume control and sometimes the instructions given may be hard to hear, especially if used outdoors.
- Fun for one or the whole family
     By ATCD9GG0SU7WC on 2008-02-18
My 10 year old received this for her birthday. She loves a challenge and she loves to race so this game is perfect. It seems to be a new twist of the game Simon Says. This game can be played on your own or with a group. My 6 and 4 year old love it as well. I like that it is easy enough for my 4 year old to understand and yet challenging enough for my 10 year old as it offers different games and levels of play. It is fairly easy to hear the directions and I like the fact that it gets kids moving as well as thinking. GREAT GAME!
- Wow! That's just about all I can say. Wow!
     By A34AMFEW0MMFZ5 on 2007-12-20
I had this on my daughter's wish list and she received it for her birthday. We got it out right away to play and it is extremely easy to set up and get started. My daughter (8) and her five-year-old friend were playing it, laughing, running, sliding and having a ball. They got sweaty from running so much - and that was just on level one so far. There are many different ways to play the game to keep it interesting for many ages. It doesn't even take up much room. We are definitely packing it to take with us on vacation. It is fabulous! I highly recommend it.
- Even my two year old loves it!
     By A3DYMTAVFPPHIZ on 2008-01-01
We bought this game for my five year old son, and we all absolutely love it. Even my two year old can play on the easy level (as can any child who knows his colors). It really gets my kids running around (talk about fighting childhood obesity :). My husband and I get in on the action too. The nice thing about it is that we don't have to LET my five year old win. When he runs as fast as he can, we're all at about an equal level. I would highly recommend this game. You can play in a small space (if mom and dad are feeling tired) or really spread them throughout the house and get quite a workout. We LOVE this game.
- Wonderful
     By ADE46RN2148IT on 2008-01-03
I had a hard time tracking this down in time for Christmas, but it was worth the extra effort. I got this for my brothers kids ages 4, 6, and 7. The 3 of them LOVED it. The adults were trying to have adult time and the kids were getting restless. I gave them this to play with and we didn't see them again the rest of the night. My 5 year old nephew ran miles that night trying to beat his time.
The one and only complaint is that I wish the volume was just a little louder. And there isn't a way to shut it off easily. Or at least one that we could figure out. But it was a hit with everyone. It was even fun to watch them play.
- Great toy for ALL ages!

I bought Hyperdash this winter for my kids, and it's been great! My older kids are two and five, and both are able to play this game (and I often join them). There are four different game settings, and four levels of each game. In hyper dash and team dash settings, you set the targets up and hit them in the order the announcer calls out. The targets can be set up anywhere--even in different rooms or around the perimeter of the yard. In the micro dash and team micro dash settings, you set the targets on the table and have to hit the targets in longer and longer sequences. On the lower levels, players are guided by the colors. This is great, because my two-year-old doesn't recognize his numbers very well but does know his colors, so he is able to actually join in the play. The higher levels use numbers and and even simple addition and subtraction to guide the players, which is challenging for my 5-year-old. At the end of each game, the hand held device announces how much time each player took or the number of sequences each player was able to remember and then announces which player won the game. Kids can play against themselves by trying to beat their own time, play head-to-head, or play on relay teams. This game teaches coordination, good sportsmanship, turn taking, colors, numbers, memorization, and simple math. It's a great way to get exercise in the winter because we can set the course up around the house. My only complaint is that the game can't be stored in the box it comes in because it has a window cut out to display the hand held device. Other than that, this game is great!
- Hyper Active
     By A863FY77WDEL8 on 2007-12-26
I bought this toy for my very active five year old son. He loves it! So does his 3 year old sister! And his 16 year old uncle. And his 32 year old mom! My daughter can practice her colors and numbers and loves to have a mini course in the room where I am working. My son lkes a bit bigger course, and it wears off some of his excess energy. Spread the course out, and our whole family is in a fit of giggles.

When I read the review of this product at The National Parenting Center's website and saw that it won the Seal of Approval I hurried over to Amazon and bought one. My kids love it. TNPC's reviews are always right on the money and this time was no exception.
- Fantastic to keep the kids moving
     By A2A7RFTDWB6FZP on 2008-01-14
Got this for the kids for Christmas and am very pleased with it. They love running around the living room slamming the handle down on the number or color that was called out. On the higher level, it will give simple math problems ("Hit the number that is 6 minus 3") which just makes them have to stop, think and then dive for the correct number.
We can't wait for the weather to warm up and get them outside with this.
My daughters are 10 and 11.
** Highly recommended **
- loved it!
     By ALSVJPDTMT8IA on 2008-01-18
I got this game for my five children ages 4-15 for Christmas. It is a blast right out of the package! Good for all ages. A great way to get a little brain and body exercise during the cold winter months. The package says that you can use it outside as well, but we will have to wait for spring to try it. It consists of five colored discs about 3 inches across. Each one is numbered 1-5. The handheld part of the game (not sure what to call it--looks like the handle for a stick shift) talks and gives directions for the game. The discs can be placed anywhere in the house (or outside) and the object of the game is to run around madly tapping the correct disc with the handle part which is talking and telling you either a number or a color to tap. Can be played alone or up to four players. It keeps track of who runs the course the fastest and when the game is done it will announce in seconds/minutes which player was fastest. Don't forget batteries for the handheld part. The discs do not have batteries. Lots of fun and highly recommended!
- Super product--tons of fun--my kids loved it!!! Needs a Volume Switch
     By A29R9JOFASMKAU on 2008-01-18
The Hyper Dash was a HUGE HIT in our household. It kept our VERY active 9 year old boy busy, happy and excited for a long, long, long time! He repeatedly ran around the house placing the colored pods, then racing to tag them as fast as he could. He kept trying to beat his last time. He played until he finally collapsed of fatigue clutching the Hyper Dash controller to his chest. When his twim sister came along, they enjoyed playing it together for an equally long time--they switched the music and the modes to play several different ways. HYPER DASH is great to play with lots of kids, too. The math function is great for reinforcing school homework drills in a fun way. Our daughter loved that feature and, so, do we. I hope the pods don't break before our son gets interested in the math feature--. TOO BAD it doesn't have a VOLUME switch--the controller's VOICE is pretty LOUD and can become annoying when played indoors. I also wish the pods could stack together inside the controller for storage, it would be more convenient and help keep all of the pieces together--something I'm always trying to do when new games come into our home. I heartly recommend Hyper Dash for everyone-your kids will love you for it!

- Worth EVERY Penny!
     By AG8KQ55IQO95C on 2008-02-08
I bought this game for something to do inside, with the kids, in the winter months. I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. We LOVE this Game! My husband and I get plenty of exercise playing the Hyper-Dash game with the boys! The object is to spread the 5 colored discs around the house, and you are to run to the color that the hand held controller calls out. Whoever has the fastest time wins! This has 4 different games. One other game is a solitare sit down game as well, where it calls out a sequence of colors that you have to remember from the begining to the end. (Much like the Simon game - for those of you who may be familiar with Simon) This has helped my 3 year old with his colors and his memory as well! A game the whole family can get into! I have decided that it will be fun to play out doors when it's warm enough. Since you can have teams, it will be a great game to have on hand for family get-togethers and birthday parties, teachers classrooms and Youth church groups! I have to say this is one game my kids beg to play consistantly, and it's been worth every penny! I've decided to get this game for all my nephews and nieces this year for either their birthdays or Christmas!
- HyperDash
     By A1UT1RINVJ7COF on 2008-03-30
A great toy, my kids love it. Just be careful because a child needs to be able to listen carefully to the instructions. Playing with more than four people, you can't always hear. The volume only goes up so high and when played outside, it is very difficult to hear.
- BEST GAME YET!!!!
     By A7DME7HL1Y65F on 2008-04-06
We bought this for our 6 year old son a couple of months ago and it is his favorite game! Our 3 year year old plays with him and loves it! There are different games and levels. They play almost every day. I don't see them getting bored with this for a long time. This was definitely the BEST purchase!
- Our whole family had a great time!
     By A2NYWN45E5RIDN on 2008-04-07
When the package arrived, my kids got so excited and wanted to play right away. This game was so much fun for all of us as a family. This is from my 8 year old daughter, "It's really good for kids because we get really hyper and start running all over the place. I really like the game and so does my 5 year old brother." Plus, we really liked the math aspect of the game as well. They really liked the added challenge. I don't think you will be disappointed with this fun, challenging, and educational toy.
- Great toy for EVERYONE!
     By A1OGZC5LNMUWA5 on 2008-04-11
After reading the positive reviews left by others, I purchased this toy for my 5 year old daughter and 3 1/2 year old son. They have had it for several weeks now and absolutely love it. With four difficulty levels, I'm sure this will be a toy that stays around a while...right now level one or two is about right for us. I would highly recommend this toy and plan to buy a few more as birthday gifts for my kids' friends.
- Fun for all ages and get the kids moving on rainy days
     By A3LOGP4VA9DX46 on 2007-12-31
I bought this toy based on the reviews. I agree with the other posters that this is a very fun game. My kids are 12, 7 and 4 and they all enjoy racing around tagging the targets to beat their time. It's been raining here so we've been playing it around the house. It comes with 5 targets that you place in various locations. The joystick looking part is what takes 3 AA batteries and gives out the verbal instructions. The kids run around holding that part and tag the numbered/colored targets. There are different levels and types of games you can play to make it more challenging for the older kids. I expect that my kids will enjoy this game much more when they are take it out in the yard and spread the targets out and hide them. This would make a great gift for any child.
