  At first I really liked this case. It holds the Curve securely and the leather is high-quality. The price was excellent. I would rate it higher, but the belt clip on mine broke after less than 5 months of moderate use.

  I work for a wireless carrier and you can't beat OEM products. I paid cheapy mall price but got corporate store quality. Here's the summary:

  Fits BB Curve perfectly, although with the rubberized skin, it can be slightly tight. A friend of mine who has this exact case for his Curve claims his phone slipped out of the case a couple of times, while mine with the skin fits real tight. The magnet is also a convenient feature.

When you clip these kind of cases to your belt, it isn't too long before it gets caught on something and breaks! Remember the old days of pagers, when you could carry them inside your pocket or on your belt? The free BlackBerry "calculator case" included with my phone was almost perfect... but it didn't have a clip so when I placed the case in my front pocket, it fell to the bottom of my pocket and made it impossible to reach when the phone was ringing.
  
  This optional holster is strong enough to hold the phone on its own, so the little magnetic flap is unnecessary and prohibits you from simply turning the case around and placing the whole thing inside your pocket. But with a pair of scissors, the only thing showing outside your clothing is the small plastic clip. Because of the officially-licensed "proximity sensor" built into this case, you simply slide the phone back in to the case in your pocket and it automatically locks the keys from accidentally speed dialing your boss. Just cut off that stupid front flap and this case is perfect for anyone with a little touch of modern style, unless you're happy looking like some wannabe superhero with a utility belt.

  This is a nicely manufactured case of high quality. When I first got my 8310 I actually used the similar bag that was for my 8800 and it worked just fine too. The flap tightens nicely because of the magnet, and the belt clip is much sturdier than most other cases, which is good. One main drawback with this case is that it offers little to no protection at the top of the phone so if you are unfortunate to drop your Berry and it lands on the wrong corner, then it will still be damaged.

  PROS:

  > phone (Curve) recognizes when it's in the holster so you're able to customize your ring options for "in-holster" versus "out-of-holster"
  > the front-clasp is a magnet that's perfect for the case -- easy to flip open when you want to use the phone, but stays sturdily closed when the phone is in the holster

  This case is a very good holder with a small footprint. The magnetic slip-over is nice and lets you know that the 8310 black berry is in the pouch (fits very snuggly in the pouch).
  
  The biggest CON:
  The clip-on portion has a plastic clip that extends too high and at times it can get uncomfortable to the love-handle. Like another reviewer of a similar holder but not sold by bargain-cell, he/she had pictures documenting the 'pain' of the clip.
  
  I worked around by clipping the phone from under the belt and rotate the front 90 degrees, in parallel with my belt instead of perpendicular.

  This is a great case, and to get it online from amazon at this price, is a smokin' deal. I bought this same case from an AT&T store for $30 which is a rip off after seeing this price. Case came exactly how I expected it too, seller is good. This case is a great idea for anyone owning the curve. It is magnetic and blackberry allows you to change in pouch and out of pouch settings, which is a great way to protect, customize, and carry you phone around. Overall this is a great case, and you save more than half from getting on Amazon, Thanks!

• RIM BB 8300 Holster

  Belt clip broke after less than a month of light use. Am very disappointed in the item and the vendor that sold it (CCM Accessories). Vendor policy seems to be "caveat emptor" - they have essentially washed their hands off the holster they sold. I might go and purchase this from AT&T which offers a 1-year warranty on the BB holsters they sell. At least they stand behind what they sell.

  I got the product yesterday, The belt clip broke while getting out of the car and my phone fell on the road yesterday night. I was lucky to notice that, but the fall left a dent on my new curve. Abosolutely worthless item, which can cause you to loose your phone. Do not buy.

  This holster is exactly what I needed. I don't like carrying the phone in my pocket because there's too much fuss to get it out when a call comes in. The holster makes this process a cinch. The built in magnets automatically put the phone in standby mode. The belt clip is comfortable for me as well, despite my "love handles".
  I can't speak on durability as I've only owned the holster for a couple months.

  Bought this case for work. I had a rubber sleeve if you will, for my crackberry, but in my cargo pocket, it would still get bumped around. Bought this case and I am very happy with it. You cant complain about the price at all. Works great, holds phone well, and proximity magnet saves the crap out of my battery life!

  The clip has a circular part that keep the clip togheter all the time, this circular part is to fragile and mine has been broken at that place after a few days.

  I first checked with ATT&T for this product and they had it for $29.95 and Bargaincell had it for a quarter of the price. I recieved it in a timley manner and I would recommend this seller. BTW this case works great, even shuts of my Blackberry when I put it the case.
