The Shoe Pouch was designed by Grantwood Technology, LLC to allow runners and walkers to use the Nike+ iPod Sport Kit® or Nike+ SportBand with any type of shoe. When designing the Shoe Pouch, our primary goal was to ensure a snug fit, extensively testing it with reinforced, nylon lace loops, and a Velcro® closure over the insertion slit. These designs maximize the durability of the Shoe Pouch while, most importantly, maintaining the accuracy of the Nike+® system.

The Shoe Pouch will stand up to the elements, and guaranteed not to tear or rip.

The Shoe Pouch matches the correct longitudinal alignment of the sensor, completely covers the sensor and attaches through the laces for excellent security. With a small, low profile, secure, neoprene design, the Shoe Pouch is the answer to using the Nike+iPod® with any style of shoe.

With over 70,000 sold Shoe Pouches, we have saved our customers well over a $7,000,000 in purchases of new Nike+® shoes. As the original designers of the Shoe Pouch, we are confident that this is the best, most tested, and most popular design.

The Nike+ system works with any iPod Nano, including the new 4th generation iPod Nano and 2nd generation iPod Touch. The package includes a free iPod nano screen protector. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied we will guarantee a replacement of your purchase or a refund. We stand by the Shoe Pouch as our product and look forward to you becoming another happy customer.

Don't forget to check out our tuneband armband which is completely compatible with the Nike+ iPod system, and it comes in the same great 8 colors as the Shoe Pouch.

For US customers, we now offer expedited shipping via USPS Priority Mail (2-4 days after shipping) or you can chose standard shipping via USPS First Class mail.

  • Too bad Nike/ipod didn't just begin the Nike+ marketing with this!

    By A44363JZ1XLXG on 2007-03-19
I have been running for a long time, track in high school and down the road today, and have never had great luck with the way Nikes fit my feet. I was enamored by the Nike+ipod capabilities, almost to the point of buying the 'special' Nikes until I saw this product. The shoe pouch just straps into your shoelaces. It's great to be able to put on the shoes that are most fitting and get the benefits of the Nike+ program as well.

  • Perfect Solution for using non-Nike+ shoes with your Nike+iPod System

    By AQA0TBZCNEF28 on 2007-01-08
I already own one of these and its good to see they are selling them on Amazon. I wanted another for my other pair of shoes. When you purchase a Nike+iPod kit, you may not know that there is a sensor that goes into a special Nike+ shoe. Though I like Nike, I run in different shoes. This product allows you to use the Nike+iPod with any shoe. A big concern is maintaining the accuracy of the sensor and with the design of the Shoe Pouch, the sensor is snug to your shoe, laced through your laces, and completely covered with the neoprene. I also like that it is so low profile and soft that you do not notice it on your shoe. It does not rock, move, or unclick as I have seen with other products that are coming out for this. Before I got the Shoe Pouch, I did try to use the Nike+ sensor by placing it under my laces, and though it does work, it came out from under my laces, and I had to backtrack to find it (twice). So for a few bucks, this product works perfectly and I give it 5 stars and the customer service is excellent.

  • Works great, now in colors!

    By AQA0TBZCNEF28 on 2007-07-29
I didnt want to run in Nike+ shoes. Prefer other brands. Bought a couple pouches for each pair of different shoes I run in, just move the sensor from shoe to shoe... Matched the color to the shoe too. Perfectly accurate, well made, reasonably priced.

  • Works great

    By A11XPOAHM84F4D on 2007-07-14
I tried to velcro the sensor to my shoe and it seemed stable but was completely inaccurate. Then I got one of these pouches and problem solved. Works perfectly.

  • Oh Yeah!

    By A3C1J8RDBZWDOD on 2007-06-08
    Finally!
I was hesitant about spending money on a new pair of running shoes just so that I could use my Nike+ with my ipod. So when my husband bought me a pair of Nike+ I really wanted to like them. Unfortunately they just weren't as comfortable as my regular running shoes. After trying a few different pairs I gave up. I saw an ad for a shoe pouch for the sensor that looked about the same size as the shoe pouch that I already had, so I tried it. It worked but the accuracy was way off. The pouch was so big that the sensor bounced around too much and only 9 out of the 10 miles that I ran were measured. Oddly enough my husband had the same trouble when he was running with his Nike+ shoes. I thought maybe the sensor was bad, but once I got my Shoe Pouch and took it to the track I found that it was far more accurate than the bigger pouch and even the shoes. I don't know why the shoes wouldn't work, but that's just one person's experience!
    Thanks

  • Great idea
    By A3FLKWN6PWIV0C on 2007-02-12
This is a great idea that saved me a lot of money! It securely holds the sensor and the Nike shoes are not required. The fit is snug and keeps the calibration exact. You don't feel it on your shoe. It is not water proof, but there is some protection for the sensor. Overall, a really great product.

  • "Save Your Sole"
    By A1UPQ11QUPYO56 on 2007-09-26
I received my shoe pouch and immediately went for a run. What a great
product - very simple and ingenious! Many of my friends have 'modded' their
shoes by cutting in to the heel, inserting the sensor and putting an insole
    over the hole!!

I am very happy not to 'butcher' my expensive shoes and have something so
simple that works so well - congratulations to Grantwood Technology on this product, you have one - more happy customer!!

  • My current gift of choice!
    By A3AH7RCPDGR8SF on 2007-05-31
I've been running with the shoe pouch for a while now - everything's been great for me. It is as accurate as any of the other models I tried - which is just as accurate as having the sensor in your shoe. I've tried two competing products the Switch Easy, and another pouch style one that cost a few bucks more. The SwitchEasy has the edge in looking cool - I liked that it shows the Nike sensor, the thing's good looking. Unfortunately it
CONSTANTLY swung open on me. I would have to stop and reclick it. I felt like I was going to loose the thing at any minute. I've used this shoe pouch for over 100 miles now, and love it. I have bought them along with a Nike iPod kit for everyone I know that has a nano.

  • Great Product
    By A2N2Z8J847RW35 on 2007-03-17
I've had the Nike Plus Running gear for over a year now and I really hated being restricted to using Nike Shoes. This product really works. I was a little skeptical at first but the pouch fit right on the top of my shoe and it works as if I was using a normal Nike Shoe. Would definietly recommend this to anyone who really likes the Nike Plus Gear but not a huge fan of Nike Shoes

  • You Don't Have to Buy the Shoes!
    By A11GHBYP7W0IFU on 2007-09-03
My college age son and daughter both love using the Nike Ipod System to run - neither wanted the shoes that Nike sells to use with this product. They both use the Shoe Pouch which enables them to switch running shoes whenever they like. They love this product. The service from this company is outstanding! You won't regret choosing this product over the Nike shoes.

  • VERY BAD AND FRAGILE - SEAMS TORN OFF!
    By A36TWQL1HTIWYB on 2007-02-24
Updated: seems to be a defect (very unusual), the manufacturer is very professional and is sending me a new set. I will amend this comment in a short delay accordingly.

First of all, there is no zip to securely maintain the sensor... Well it's neoprene so it's very extensible, I'm just wondering how many people have lost their sensor while running. I fixed it on my shoe and while attaching it (I took care), all the seams torn off!!!! Unfortunately I cannot send a picture in the comment to show you that's really a piece of sh.t but trust me, I'm running a lot (including marathons): do not spend 5 dollars in such useless low quality piece of fabric!

  • Great product for the price
    By A3M72IT2JMBOSK on 2007-03-15
I had many problems with the Nike shoe- this product saved my feet! I can use my old running shoes and the pouch keeps the sensor safe and secure. I have had no problems with it.

  • Good Product
    By A2B90RBD7GPK3J on 2008-02-09
This product is very good for those runners that can not wear Nike running shoe, like myself. The sensor remains safely attached to the shoe. The one issues that I have is that it is time consuming to move it from one pair of shoes to another. I rotate between three pairs so it is a bit of a pain to undo the laces.

  • Excellent solution!
    By A77FCC5Z5DZ8B on 2007-02-11
I received the Nike system for Christmas from family members who didn't realize the severity of the whole Nike shoe issue. I tried putting the chip in my Asics shoe, but I was convinced that I would have to eventually rig something like this up for myself. I was elated when I found one already made on Amazon and even happier when it worked so well! The chip is held very snugly in the pouch and I have never had a problem with it falling out during a run. The pouch doesn't seem to affect the accuracy of the chip's recording. When I give the Nike systems for gifts later this year, I am definitely including the shoe pouch too!

  • Shoe Pouch
    By A3PB3FBSASNYNE on 2007-02-14
The shoe pouch is as accurate as wearing the sensor in your shoes. This is the way to go if you just have one pair of Nike +

  • Great Product
    By AQ6D3YMAI0MMZ on 2007-02-16
The pouch is a great addition to any pair of running shoes that use laces. I have been running in New Balances for years and wanted to purchase the Nike+iPod system since it came out but refused to convert to Nike. After finding the pouch I want ahead and picked up the Nike+iPod. The people that make the pouch provide great customer service as well.

  • Great product
    By A1CJYCND7F1MBK on 2007-03-08
Love the shoe pouch. It's the perfect size to fit the Nike Sensor without being clunky, and I get great results from the Nike PLUS system when using it. Defintely better than trying to stick the sensor under your shoe laces, where it can occasionally fall out.

  • Shoe Pouch Expands Usefulness of Nike+ Sports Kit
    By A2UMFTKPXUXH6T on 2007-03-10
If you like the Nano Nike+ sports kit but not Nike shoes, this is a great product. It is easy to attach to any pair of laced shoes and the transmitter tucks securely inside and is easy to remove. I would caution, however, that you don't want to use that method if it is raining! The Nike+ kit is a great motivational tool for walkers or runners. Now the product is more versatile and thus more useful.

  • Shoe Pouch
    By A7Q6ZTD3391I0 on 2007-03-17
For those that don't wear Nike Shoes but want to take advantage of Nike+ and the whole Ipod Nano training thru Nike, this is great! This pouch enables me to take advantage of the Nike+ system without having to wear Nike shoes. It works great. I highly recommend it.

  • It Works!
    By A1NPB91XS3CAAV on 2007-03-31
Just like any apple product it was easy to set up, cool to use, and has motivated me to loose weight. I'm up to 10 lbs. so far!

  • trouble at first
    By AZG1NRYD975LN on 2007-05-12
At first my iPod was not reading all the miles from the chip so I was pretty down on the product. I wound up lacing it into my shoe a little tighter and realy haven't had a problem since.

  • Shoe Pouch
    By A2MCWIE7RXTLKF on 2008-03-28
While a good concept, I found this pouch to be somewhat impractical since it has to be laced into your shoes. I rotate 2-3 pairs of shoes at any given time, and it's not very convenient to switch the pouch between shoes. The company's service, shipping, etc. was fine.

  • simple and good
    By A3NLGVGSUVWSVI on 2008-05-28
The shoe pouch is a simple accessory that allows you to use the Nike+pod without having to molest your favourite running shoes.

    Delivery is fast and reliable.

  • Only one complaint
    By A19TSJT8DK7V2A on 2008-06-11
This shoe pouch works perfectly. It fits the nike chip really well, and even has velcro on the back to make sure it stays shut. The one thing I don't like is that I have to unlace my shoes to put it on and off. I'd like to alternate running shoes during training so my shoes don't get worn out so quickly, but it seems like too much work to change the chip every time. My solution was to buy two pouches and two nike chips. Not very economical I suppose, but it keeps me from having to unlace my shoes before every run.

  • dificult to add and remove
    By A3EWB2CWW2LG63 on 2007-01-25
Try the Nike shoe wallet instead. It's pretty much the same size, has reflective piping AND a clip to fasten. Easy removal is great when you want to use your sneakers for other activities and don't feel like undoing all the laces in the shoe. Nike's shoe wallet goes for $9.99 though.

  • Customer Service is great!
    By A1UBM3F33FMOMH on 2007-02-11
Mine ripped after a week so I email Grantwood Technology on a Sunday & was emailed back an hour later.
They stated they have only had a few problems & said he would mail me a replacement the next day.
Two new ones were sent out the next day. It works very well. THe reciever needs to remain still when running for acurate readings & this product works perfect. I didn't have to calibrate the sensor it works so well.

It works great w/out buying the Nike+ shoes.

  • Great inexpensive solution
    By A15DXUO0L3YFNR on 2007-03-05
I've been running with the Shoe Pouch since Christmas using my asics. The Shoe Pouch keeps the Nike+ securely attached to my shoes and I've never had to re-lace it since I first installed it. The best solution for those with out Nike+ "ready" shoes.

  • Well Constructed, Smart Product!
    By A1MFTGBS9Q67L7 on 2007-05-18
The construction of the pouch is very good and makes a lot of sense. It's very well made. The eyelets to string your shoelaces through on each of the corners creates a very flush/tight fit against your shoe and decreases significantly from any sway while you run, which without such a good fit, could impact the sensor. Running both outside along established trails as well as indoors on a treadmill, I am getting accurate readings so the pouch isn't a factor at all. Great value for something that completely solves the problem of having to buy Nike brand shoes, which most serious runners I've come across do not prefer.

  • Very secure attachment for your nike+
    By A162RMQ2JQBUTP on 2007-06-21
This is a pouch, with the mouth in the back, where you can slide your nike+ in. It securely attaches to laces. The only drawback is that because you have to thread it through your laces it's a little more time consuming to take the pouch on and off.

  • Works great!!
    By A3P68JLH5IV5OR on 2007-08-09
I love this pouch. It works great with my Nike+. I ordered two so I have for both pairs of running shoes - not easy to change between shoes once it is on. I like the looks and havent had any issues with it for over 100 miles of use.
