Blackberry users beware By A2RP62O0MVH3EJ on 2007-11-25
This MicroSDHC card works fine, but the Blackberry does not support SD cards over 4GB unless you have OS version 4.3. If you format this card in a v4.2 Curve, like I did, you'll get only 1.6GB of capacity because of an integer math overflow.
Blackberry OS can be upgraded freely, but unless you ordered your device directly from RIM you rely on your carrier to provide the update. I ordered mine from AT&T and they haven't yet released the 4.3 OS upgrade.
Fortunately, because SanDisk helpfully includes a USB adapter if you do format to a lower capacity you can plug the card back into your PC and resize the drive with a partitioning utility. I used some software from Paragon to do this. You still won't be able to use the full capacity without the OS upgrade though.
I give this 4 stars because even though it's a good product, some fair warning that it may need an OS upgrade to work in popular smart phones would have been nice. I could see less technical users having problems with it.

Update July 2008:
I've now updated the BlackBerry OS on my AT&T 8310 to OS 4.5 using an update released by Vodafone Germany, and I can confirm that if you reformat this card in OS 4.5 you can finally access all 6GB of storage. The reason I had to use the Vodafone upgrade was because AT&T seem to be very slow in releasing OS upgrades themselves. I recommend checking which OS version AT&T is providing before buying this card.
Whoopie, a memory card! By ARXU3FESTWMJJ on 2007-10-09
I just got the new AT&T Tilt phone (great phone, I highly recommend it!) and of course the first accessory I ordered was this very sizeable microSD card. It's amazing how small memory is getting. It's a bit pricey right now, but hard to complain since this is the first 6GB microSD card out (at the time I'm writing this review at least!) It comes with 2 accessories, an SD card adapter and a neat USB plug that you can put the card and SD adapter into and then plug into an USB port. I first try the SD adpater with the card. I have two different card readers on my system and neither liked this adapter and gave me an I/O error. So I tried the USP adapter, that did work. Not a big deal for me, although a pain that I can't just plug it into the SD slots. Not sure if it's just an issue with my system, or this particular card, but it could be an issue if you really need to read the card in an SD slot alone. Otherwise, have had no issues with it so far, works great and I look forward to packing it full of music and video!
do you really need it now? By A1BVU7F2T8EUKS on 2007-10-16
Works well with most new phones (but be sure to check first if your phone is SDA 2.0 / SDHC compliant.
Do you need it now (October 2007) when it costs twice what the 4GB one costs? And when the 8GB card is just around the corner (I think and hope).
Wait a month or two and see if the 8GB comes out and then get this one for significantly less. Now lets see if I can follow my own advice - this card would hold all my new mp3s.
Update - I bought it early anyway - works fine with my T-Mobile Wing. No problem with the card sticking in my phone like with the 4GB card. Card pops right out.
Worth it for me By A2SIJG16D12XJI on 2007-10-17
I had bought a 4gb micro SD card off ebay back in August. I had to return it since it didnt work. I still haven't received the replacement, almost 2 months after purchase. (Stay away from ebay for items like this)
Since I had a few gift cards, I went ahead and got this 6GB card. I am so happy I did so. This card worked as soon as I put it in my Nokia N95.
Going from a 1GB card to a 6GB card is like coming up for air. I can fit all my pictures and music and podcasts and still have room for over an hour of 640x480 video.
I'll wait for the 16GB or 32GB cards before my next upgrade. For now, I'm happy because my phone has a lot more freedom.
Plenty of storage at a reasonable price. By A16YNNT757JVUE on 2007-11-07
I purchased this card to use with a 8925 AT&T Tilt handset. This Handset was designed for a Micro SDHC card up to 32GB is size. The SanDisk card was the largest I could find to expand the handset's storage capacity to 6GB. This puts the Flash memory right between a 4GB & 8GB iPhone. More then enough to store the additional Music and Applications that I wanted to carry.
Also included is a sleeve to adapt the Micro SD to a Standard SD size.
Not all PC's have a SD card slot that is SDHC compatible so SanDisk also included an SDHC compatible SD to USB card reader. With this included reader I was able to sync/transfer all the file I needed to the Micro SD card a lot faster then the handset could using its internal USB or bluetooth.
Bottom Line
SanDisk's 6GB Micro SDHC card is as easy as adding a USB Flash drive. It was the largest available 10/07 at retail. This package offers plenty of storage at a reasonable price.
- Works great
     By A16X3G1YK89E7T on 2007-11-10
I popped this card into my AT&T Tilt cellphone and I was able to start using it with no issues. The included USB is great for those with old readers that don't support SDHC. Note: does not work on all devices, must support SDHC
- Great SD Card

I used this card in my HTC TYTN II to store the TomTom maps. Very fast card. Recognized right away. Very good value!
- Does not work with Blackberry Pearl
     By A3R3YBTZOLRIX0 on 2007-12-07
Despite numerous attempts by my IT support, the memory card refuses to work properly with my Pearl. I can only configure it to 1.6GB but not 6GB. The USB 2.0 reader accompanying the card turned out to be useless because if I use it Pearl reports "reading error." 4GB card works just fine - I would stick with it until technology develops further. SanDisk, AT&T and Blackberry helpdesks are useless with these issues.
- Works in the 8525 - with reservations
     By A1SO14A79QXZ6V on 2007-11-27
I used this to replace multiple cards in an AT&T/Cingular 8525 and I did get it working, but you have to be careful to make sure you have the right ROM version in your phone. WM5 won't work and early WM6 versions might be dicey. Once it's working though, it's a champ. The included reader is very handy for those of us who have older version PC card readers that don't handle the newer SDHC format well.
- Works
     By A5RR61HYYIV95 on 2008-01-23
It works in the LG Voyager with V05 software update. Can't ask for anything more.
- Everything is different now...
     By A2XF0NUMUCCTG8 on 2008-03-04
As a mild music enthusiast and rabid anti-applist (just finish my review before you jump all over me), I've been investing in high capacity non-iPod MP3-players since the year 2000 (I've never had less than 6 gigs capacity, and I've only owned 3, and only one of them ever broke). And like everyone else, I've kept my eye out for the newest and best player. Now, I never have to again.
I have exactly 5 gigs of music, no more, no less (it increases very slowly over the years). So the past few years has been tough for me, since all MP3 players seem to support either less than 3 or more than 30 gigs. And always with the new software and re-ripping and re-transfering of files... no more. This card has changed everything.
It fits and functions like a dream in my LG Venus. And to add music, I just pull it out, drag and drop, and put it back in. No more software, no more drivers, no more upgrades, no more compatability issues of any kind. And what if I get a new device in a couple of years? Retransfer my muic you say? Oh no. I Pull out the card, stick it in the new device, and voila!
And the possibilities and endless! Only need a gig or 2 of music? Fine. Want the full 8 gigs? Buy it. You need more? I'm sure 16 and 32 gig cards will be out by the end of the year. You pick the hardware that's right for you.
Why get an unnegotiable 8 gigs of memory you may not want or use, or be stuck with an archaic and problematic driver/software-based transfer method. And transferring music OFF of an iPhone? FORGET ABOUT IT! Choose flexibility. Choose MicroSDHC cards.
- The card is nice but the use for it was limited for me
     By A2C1QR3VFF60QX on 2007-12-03
I bought this package for my new Blackberry Curve. The card itself and the rest of the accessories it came with are a very nice set of gadgets. 6Gb is quite some room - definitely enough for my purposes. However, the Curve has issues with it. It seems to support this type of cards, but currently offers only 2Gb limit. So, I am using the card as a 2Gb card until RIM comes up with an update for the Curve, so that it can recognize larger capacities. However, I was surprised to find out that even at 2Gb I had not run into a space shortage yet. Of course, I would like to have my 6Gb available to me, but even at 2Gb - it's a great card and enough storage for me for now.
- doesn't work with blackberry

when I put this card to my blackberry, shows only 1.6 Gb instead 6Gb
- N95
     By A3I23747P1E5SM on 2008-01-01
It works as expected in the N95. 6 whole GBs space for music/pictures/videos, turn my phone into the perfect mp3 player/digital camera.
- Tiny but powerful.
     By APMJOVO08IGRF on 2008-01-07
This little card has a capacity of 6GB, which is enough to store all your pictures and mp3 files in a phone. It works excellent and I have had no problems with it at all. Also you need an SD adaptor, which is included in the package, that`s good. Recommended.
- Shame on you, Sandisk
     By A1ZMQA1ZM0YFEJ on 2008-03-31
On January 20, 2008, I purchased a 6 Gb micro SD card from BlueProtn through Amazon. I wrote some data and the disk worked very well. One week later, after trying to erase and re-write new data, for the first time, the card stopped responding. Different computers froze when I tried to access the device.
I wrote to Amazon who directed me to BlueProtn who directed me to Sandisk. After a few complaining e-mails, Sandisk sent a standard answer, a link to a FAQ session in their website. It was useless.
I tried to contact Sandisk again and learned that my my request was closed, though not solved.
I wrote again and again to Sandisk with no answer.
Amazon says the manufacturer carries the warranty, Blueprtn reinforces it, Sandisk plays dead and I am just the customer who pays for all these crew.
After 60 days, I am so disaponted that I am not considering buying on line from Amazon anymore.
It was a $70 write off. Could be more.
- Don't buy it for a Blackberry 8320
     By AD5EI7XV702ZC on 2007-11-16
This didn't work at all in my Blackberry, from what I read after I bought this product, the 4gb Micro SDHC card works without any problems. To many people are having problems with the 6gb card, save your money and don't chance it. I wish I knew a way to partition it to 4gb so I could use it until the Blackberry software catches up to technology.
- Great option for WM phones
     By A2PSYUD2HHAWFR on 2007-12-25
I got this for my Tytn II and it's great, just pop it in and load it up. Plenty of storage for apps, music, videos, maps etc. I was thinking of getting two smaller cards but it's nice to be able to fit everything on one and not have to swap cards out. Now I've got the versitility of WM with the storage of an Iphone. Nice :)
- Great Things Come In Little Packages
     By AF0AHKIQSYZPV on 2007-12-29
Simply put: a great "Little" card. Worked flaulessly in an AT&T Tilt and also when put in the SD adapter card in a SOMO 650.
- Sidekick LX
     By A3PSLXBAVNU4J9 on 2008-01-01
I got this card for my Sidekick LX. I went with a 6GB cause after having a 30GB iPod for so long and never using more then 5GB I decided to just go with my phone as my music player. It works great! From the second I put it in the phone things were working. Great item for those who listen to music on a phone.
- Decent price for the size.
     By A3GUE8Q66I7Y4T on 2008-01-07
I got the card and TomTom maps as a combo with a small discount price. The card didn't work at first in my Glofiish x500+ but that's because it's SDHC and I had to install a couple new drivers and then reset the phone. After figuring out how to do all of that the card worked great. The only problem is that since it's SDHC it isn't backwards compatible with regular micro SD card readers. I had to go out and purchase a micro SDHC card reader. Other than that, this thing is great. 6Gb in the size of a finger nail, wow.
- The best thing since chewing gum!!!
     By A29JXB708J2Q8L on 2008-01-07
Does what it says. Reliable. I mean as long as I didn't get any errors, and it stores my memory, I can go on vacation, right?
- Good Price for Product
     By A3MTUPNTPNIZTS on 2008-01-08
The 6GB SanDisk is a great product and well worth the price. The reader adapter that comes with it is very cheap. It took 5 or 6 times to get the SanDisk card to format only because the reader. Once formatted the card works great. I would purchase again.
- Best solution for my 8525 phone
     By AVBSLB8W33AN4 on 2008-01-08
Awesome card, I have movies, music, pictures, games and everything else installed onto it through my 8525 phone. YES... IT WILL WORK WITH the TyTn, Hermes, AT&T 8525, whatever you want to call the phone. My next upgrade will probably be an 8 or 16 GB card if the 8525 supports it. Hopefully they will be class four as well. I have seen a lot of people saying they can't get their card to work. Well, I flashed my phone to the latest firmware and have had no problems. Thank you san disk! thank you HTC!
BUY THIS CARD
- A Great MicroSD HC Card
     By AJBQ1W20WNLFJ on 2008-01-09
This is a great 6GB MicroSD HC card for a good price. I have always stuck with SanDisk because I have never had a problem with their cards and this is card is no exception. It runs fast enough for my uses. The only bad part of this card is not the card, but the SD adapter. After inserting the card into the adapter, I found it difficult to remove. That didn't effect me at all since I have a SanDisk usb card reader that it inserts directly into. If you have a pre-HC MicroSD card reader, you can still use that reader for this card. You just have to make sure the device you want to use the HC card in is compatible with them.
- Really useful to me.
     By AED25FHC0GHSI on 2008-01-11
This is really good stuff! It never let me down and it doesn't break like 2 GB kingston does. I highly recommend for you to get this.
- 6GB High Capacity
     By A2LHWB7IEFR0MK on 2008-01-11
Works well as a transport item from computer to computer, but unfortunly very few devices on the market will work with it... Cell Phones NO! Cameras No! maybe when you get a new toy check carefully for compatibility.
- Awesome Product
     By ASVIJ02V0DKB4 on 2008-01-15
I purchased this 6gb card for use with my new AT&T Tilt. It works flawlessly and I am so glad I got it. Now, I'm thinking about getting the 8gb version.
- Works Great with Blackberry Pearl 8130
     By A3SXD82CNFQHJY on 2008-01-18
I have put 2.5 gigs on so far and it works great! I have had no problems hooking it up to the computer or the blackberry. I would suggest this to anyone with an BB 8130. If you don't have this device just make sure your device supports MicroSDHC
- Great product
