Auto Insurance for your Losi Micro-T or Micro Desert Truck

They should really call this the "Replace your e-clips with nylon nuts" kit. It's not really about the axles: it's about the way the wheels are attached to the axles. As a stock vehicle, the wheels are held on the axles by e-clips!!! (For those of you who are new to radio control, I assure you the multiple exclamation points are warranted. The clips held up on my truck, but I have heard countless stories about people losing their wheels, especially after a speed-enhancing hop-up followed by a spectacular wreck.) Once one of the e-clips pops off, it's gone forever. My Micro Desert Truck came with a few spares, but I just wanted to bypass the hassle and hold my wheels on with nylon nuts.
These were easy to install, and now my wheels aren't going anywhere. I would recommend buying these and sitting on them until you lose an e-clip or have an occasion to partially disassemble the suspension arms, which is required for installing the rear axles.
On another note, if you are fortunate enough to have a local hobby store that stocks these parts, consider supporting it. You will pay a little more and have sales tax by buying locally, but it is really nice to have a place in town where you can get parts immediately, not to mention the skilled help that is behind the counter. If you local store doesn't carry these parts and accessories, then I would stock-up on a few parts now while you're ordering: nothing is more of a bummer than having a car that won't run because you don't have a two-dollar part. I would recommend some extra body clips and perhaps the whole screw set.
