    (11 reviews)
Best Price: $9.99 $2.17
Griffin Headphone Adapter for iPhone lets the headphones you already own fit in the special headphone jack of your Apple iPhone. That recessed headphone jack on your Apple iPhone might render some headphones incompatible, but that's fixed easily enough. Griffin Headphone Adapter for iPhone lets you use the headphones you already own. The specially designed 1/8-inch (3.5-mm) stereo mini plug fits the recess around the audio port on your iPhone. It also can be used to connect oversized headphone plugs to iPod in cases with a small headphone opening. What's in the Box: White Griffin Headphone Adapter for iPhone

Works well, high quality By A13R2XAYRDCF13 on 2007-12-11
Better than one piece adapters from Belkin & Dynex (I have both), I personally prefer this short flexible adapter. Still it's another stupid accessory that Apple makes us purchase, no reason I phone could not have ben built to take std head phone adapter. Griffin adapter good...Apple bad, can't wait for iPhone to become open(er) platform in Feb'08.
Poorly made By A30Y2JNSEIZQY6 on 2008-05-04
I bought this about 2 weeks ago and it has since been glitchy. Whenever I move the wire, the sounds gets distorted. I do not recommend buying this because the quality of the performance is terrible. It might be because I got a defective one, but it still counts.
Works like a charm! By A1KS27K6M39VY6 on 2008-05-09
After purchasing a cable that allowed me to hook my iPhone up to my stereo system in the car, I was unable to use it because the plug did not quite fit my iPhone. This little adapter worked like a charm and now I listen to my music through the car speakers. The adapter is made very well and is available at a very good price.
Junk By A3KI8X8ASFIEUI on 2008-06-23
This item developed a short after five months of light use and now provides sound to only one channel. I have owned numerous headphones over the years and never had any headphone develop this type of problem. I expect a $10 adapter to last much longer than this piece of junk.
failed after a month By A196YQXNF9YD2I on 2008-04-23
works well when new. flexible and unobtrusive, good sound.
after one month it shorted out and the sound started to cut in and out, rendering the item unusable. DO NOT BUY.
- Great, then useless
     By AAO47M51C3J98 on 2008-08-05
It worked very well for about 5 months, then the right channel crapped out. Sounds like this is a common problem with this model. There are other adapters on the market, so stay away from this one.
- No Surprises Here
     By A3E1YIRTY328PS on 2008-05-02
Once I got over being annoyed that this is necessary in the first place (thanks Apple), I found this griffin.
This is a good product. I like that it is low profile at the jack and flexible with the receiver for the headphones.
I also have a Dynex DX-HPADi, which is the stiff at-the-jack style. I don't like it because I can't put my iPhone in my pocket as easily with it in (i.e. worry about it applying too much stress and breaking the phone) and it gets in the way of my Incase rubber Protective Cover.
Summary: This works well and I like it better than the stick-type equivilants.
- does the job
     By A23JPTKUADSHVG on 2008-04-25
does the job without adding too much cable. Can' t be used as a phone headset but lets you use your fave headphones with the iPod.
- Very Useful
     By A1JPD90EP4HVQ6 on 2008-09-01
Its perfect, because you no longer has to worry about the iphone earphones, so can peak your favorites one, and thats it.
- Total Garbage....
     By A1ALP9R0BD9XBB on 2008-09-26
Like many of the other reviewers have previously stated, this unit is total junk. I have had two units fail on me in the past year alone, so I don't think its a defective batch just poor design and engineering. When it works it sounds fine, but that is what it is expected to do. Its supposed to be a simple adapter. After a few months of use, every time the adapter cable twists, the audio would get distorted and this is very annoying when I am trying to get my listen on. In case anybody was wondering, both the white and the black adapters are garbage so save your time and money by buying something else.
