  • Great Card. Bulk Packaging.

    By A1ZBWPD5IJ2P9T on 2007-04-12
As described at the top of this page, this is a "bulk package" card, meaning it doesn't come in a pretty package. All you get is the carrying case with the Micro SD card and SD adapter inside. Who need the packaging anyway? You're just going to throw it away as soon as you get your card out ;) Rest assured, it is in fact a brand new, official card (well... at least the one I got from the seller "a-depot" was).

FWIW, I chose the seller "a-depot" because, if you include shipping costs, they were the cheapest seller period. 2gb transflash for $30.39 shipped. Just wow.

    Use:
I plugged in into my card reader and it mounted instantly. Actual usable space on the card showed up as 1.89 GB. I did a couple tests with a 30MB file and found that the transfer rates over USB2 (on my system at least) are consistently 1mb/s for both read AND write.

After copying over a few MP3's, I moved the card into my Verizon Motorola Krzr. Everything showed up right away. Not much more to say.

  • Great price, works well

    By A34ZDM4OFYT4SP on 2007-03-01
There's not much to say about this kind of product. Either it works or it doesn't - this one works just fine, and the price is definitely right.

I'm using mine in a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx, and it holds the whole of City Navigator North America, plus a ton of Topo maps with plenty of space left over.

  • SanDisk 2 GB MicroSD card

    By AMP5WITG8PCCM on 2007-03-22
Arrived promptly and in perfect condition, and works very well with the SanDisk e280 MP3 player for which it was purchased.

  • Mostly Satisfactory

    By A3F991MR88RY63 on 2007-03-29
It does what it's supposed to do, and it's still doing it. My only problem with it is the SD Adapter because once you put the MicroSD card in there, it's almost impossible to get it back out. As a result of my initial mishap with this, I'm relying on bluetooth to transfer files from now on, which is a pretty tedious and boring process. But it does what it's supposed to do, and it still works.

  • little card big storage

    By A25GWWD3ZRHOZJ on 2007-03-08

  • 2 second install
    By A3F0A35ILBX3T0 on 2007-01-26
This is the way things should work. You get it out of the package, you plug it in, and viola, it just works.

  • Great Price - No Hassle Packaging
    By AS8OSO5590OO2 on 2007-04-04
Best price I could find on 2GB MicroSD. Do you hate bleeding from trying to cut open the tough acrylic packaging that most items come in? These are delivered in their flip open cases and are ready to go in seconds. Bulk package has its advantages!

  • Worked as promised
    By A1HTNPRGW760UW on 2007-05-19
Have used this in a GPS, on a Blackberry and on my laptop. Worked perfectly every time!

  • Seems to defy the laws of physics!
    By ANHDOBZ4UL0UL on 2007-01-20
Seriously! I'm reminded of the Doctor Who Tardis. It's bigger on the inside than on the outside! *grin* It's incredible how small these memory chips are getting. Just IMAGINE the possibilities for medical science! Tiny implants with HUGE programs inside, creating vision, hearing etc. Neat!

That said, I'm DESPERATE for this technology to be available in larger formats (8 GB etc), but for now we'll have to settle for a max of 2 GB. I bought this 2 GB unit for my new SanDisk E250 MP3 player because 2 GB is the largest size presently available. I need MORE for my gigantic music collection though! As this technology is new, the price delta between various retailers is HUGE! This was still the least expensive offering for a 2 GB MicroSD chip that I could find after two days of Googling. I just checked again and post-XMAS, that still appears to be the case, in fact it's presently about 50 bucks here on Amazon (versus up to $80 on competitor sites).

I've been using the MicroSD chip for nearly a month now and it's proven itself to be a faithful workhorse - supplying entertainment for unexpected waiting times and any "emergencies" that might arise (read child in full tantrum mode in the middle of a grocery store aisle...lol).

    AMAZING DEAL. Thank you Amazon.com!!

p.s. THIS IS A VERY, VERY TINY memory chip - take care and BE GENTLE. :)

  • Excellent 2GB regular Transflash card w/adaptor.
    By A3ARP7HAMLROZS on 2007-01-08
I used this for my Garmin 60CSX GPS reciever and it works great. it is NOT the incompatible Ultra card but the regular transflash. Also comes with an SD adaptor which was not required. I filled approx. 1.8 Gigs of this with US/Canada, tide points and the base world map fully. 1919 segments loaded perfectly.

  • Doesn't work well with TyTn phone
    By A3OJZKM87XYTV3 on 2007-02-08
It's probably not the fault of SanDisk, but the product is very slowww in a Cingular 8525/TyTn phone. Of course this may be true for any flash card in the phone, so take this review with a grain of salt.

  • very large memory card for your phone
    By AVZHTOUOZHTSK on 2007-03-08
This tiny memory card stores probably more music and pictures than I really need on a cell phone. Works fine.

  • The adpater does not work
    By A61QM7T1FJ714 on 2007-03-16
The SD card is working in the PDA but the adapter is not working. They are asking to resend but it is all lot of trouble. I would recommend to buy in store so you can easily replace if it does not work!

  • Sandisk micro SD card

Excellent value for money. My razr is a fully functional mp3 player now! Thanks. :)

  • Do your research and make sure it's compatible
    By A1W87G5LKTTNRM on 2007-04-13
This is more a 'shame on me' for assuming my Motorola L7 could accomodate more than a 1GB card like any other device built within the past 2 years. The card itself works fine in quality electronic devices and I'm in awe at the idea of that tiny little card holding 2GB of data!

  • Glitch
    By A2CO8KHAEHOBGZ on 2007-05-30
This chip is billed as new and NEW means "completely compatible" with the products intended for use. It functions well in my Samsung A707 when it is recognized by the phone. You see, each time you turn on your phone the chip is not recognized. You need to unseat/reseat the chip for the phone to see it each time it is turned on. This is annoying since you need a nice strong, long, fingernail to do it. A random glitch? No, the same thing occurs with at least 4 other A707's that I know of. These include different discount Sandisk chips bought from different vendors. Either the phone has the issue or the discounted chips were defective. When your phone says "memory card has unrecognized format do you want to format?" SAY "NO." Just reset the card and look for the card icon in the upper right hand display.

  • Micro SD Rocks!
    By A1837SY6KT8SQ7 on 2007-06-16
Bought this micro SD Card for my Sansa player and it works as advertised. I inserted it into the player and instantly I had another 2GB of space to play with... So far no complaints here.

  • Good Value, but casing is troublesome
    By A2JBVW15ZYN533 on 2007-07-16
My MicroSD card works fine and everything is in order. One thing that bothers me is the adapter.

The Adapter encases the MicroSD card, but the lock mechanism is annoying. Everytime I insert it into my computer, I cannot delete anything off of it because it's locked. I take take it out of my laptop and find that the lock switch is a little flimsy. So I can continue adding, but not deleting.

I guess another adapter is in order. Other than that, the card stores 2GB... I should know, because mine's at full capacity, haha.

Also, I noticed that the transfer speed from this card versus a regular SD card is slower.

  • Stocking & Shipping Unreliable
    By A3P3J7IVCBUQXA on 2007-10-25
While I'm sure the item works fine if you get it, they never sent it. At the time the order was placed it said it was in stock. This morning, more than a week later, I received an e-mail indicating the order was cancelled because it was out of stock. As of this moment it continues to be listed as being in stock so I would not recommend this vendor as their stock and shipping are not reliable.

  • Works well with Blackberry 8830 World Edition
    By ABG5QHZJ0KBT5 on 2008-01-19
Bought this memory card to add music and video to my Blackberry 8830 World Edition Smartphone. I have installed, downloads and playback work very well.

  • no retail package
    By A2HK8GNM3Q56N4 on 2007-03-09
It comes in a case without a retail box. Small and its a brand name so you can trust that it works well and for a long time. Using it for my cell phone and mp3 player

  • Be Wary of Shipping Time
    By A5VRD2A07EPRO on 2007-03-17
Ordered this from BlueProton through Amazon. That was 8 days ago and I still don't have it. With the weekend coming up, it will be two more days. Granted, Monday will be the last day of the expected delivery time frame, but I had no idea that standard shipping meant as much as 11 calendar days!

I rated it 4 stars assuming it will work as intended. If I could rate the shipping separately, I would. Just make sure that if you order this from BlueProton, that you allow for a couple of weeks for delivery, well ahead of any special events for which you need the card.

UPDATE: I tried to change my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars due to the astonishing capability of such a tiny card and the fact that the product did arrive on time, on the last day of ETA. I would recommend a card reader specifically for the Micro SD. It is a bit difficult to slide it into and out of the SD adapter simply due to the size. I surely don't know how they obtained almost 2 GB storage capability in such a small package...way to go SanDisk!

  • Great Cellphone Storage
    By A2Q44VOU510X1R on 2007-04-05
I use this card in my Samsung SCH-U740; it stores a ton of music, as well as all of my pictures, and videos. I have even been able to encode full length movies and put them on my phone(3g2 and 3gp format) so that I can watch them during down time. Aside from that the only thing I could think of to make it better would be faster transfer speeds, it takes a little long to get some things on there. That however is not the cards fault or the companies, it is simply where the technology is at this point. I am sure down the line it will be improved like all things.

  • Awesome product and price
    By A2PL41VPPDDEMQ on 2007-04-06
2GB SanDisk is awesome. I can store lots of files in my PDA and not worry about space. Also the price was very afordable.

  • Amazing
    By A3R6N0Y1BJ0ZUW on 2007-04-09
I couldn't be any more happier with this memory stick. I've had it for 3 weeks now and I haven't had any problems with it.

  • Great!!!!

  • Just Right

I bought this memory card for use in my LG Chocolate phone. Loaded up fine and appears to perform as advertised. Very quick delivery from the seller.

  • A lot of space for the price
    By A3FH41KWOXJOVF on 2007-06-13
I got this memory for my DS games and I have to say its great, it was really cheap around $25, and it have been working great. I can hold a lot of games. A really nice product.

  • This Sandisk works with the Motorola Maxx VE
    By A2WYHV1QPR5WIF on 2007-08-09
This is a great price for a 2GB MicroSD card. The first card I got did not function correctly as it kept disappearing from the phone. However BlueProton was quick to replace the defective card with a new one. This one works great. Just pop it in the phone and it configures the card for tunes, pictures, etc.

I couldn't tell from the discription if this card would work but the SanDisk cards are designed to work in various types of phones. This particular card is listed on the SanDisk website to work in the Motorola Maxx VE as well as the LG VX8700. My wife has the 8700 while I have the Maxx VE. By the way, it works for a lot of others as well. Check the SanDisk website if there is a question about conpatability and the reviews don't give you the answer.
