  This is a great product. Although the screen protector it comes with has a nice peel off back before install, then peel off front after install, I became very frustrated that I could not get it onto the iPod without any bubbles or dust. If Apple is to produce these stupid beautiful handheld gadgets that everyone wants, they should just manufacture it with one of these screen protectors pre-installed, perfectly, Apple-style. After 3 attempts at putting the screen protector on without imperfections, I decided to throw it out, and I just put the hard case on. It went on easily, and it looks great. Then I discovered a fleck of dust under the back cover. I tried to remove the case with a dime because I thought a nickel would not fit in the slot, but the dime nicked the plastic a little. I decided to leave the dust. Now, I have tried the nickel, and it works fine without damaging the case. If you have to remove the case, use a NICKEL to avoid nicking the plastic.

  Definitely a good solution to protect your iPod Touch without hiding its good looks.
  
  The case snaps tightly together and is well made. My one criticism is that I was hoping for a perfectly clear case. The back cover is a bit milky-colored rather than perfectly clear, but still shows off the iPod. I suspect that a perfectly clear back would show scratches too easily.
  
  Having installed other screen protectors for other products, I had no problems installing the screen cover as some reviewers have noted. Be sure you read the stickers on each side of the screen protector. After you peel of the proper side, slowly and carefully line up the screen protector and smooth out the bubbles as you go along. You can lift the screen protector to realign it or to remove bubbles. There is no adhesive, so it can be reapplied as needed.
  
  Overall, you will need to use the included cloth to shine the screen and case completely free of dirt, oil, and fingerprints prior to installation. My iPod is now protected and looks great! Highly recommended.

  If you have an iPod touch, you really need to protect it. When I got mine, there weren't that many casing options, and there still aren't. I was considering getting a silicone one, but looking at them I realized how cheaply made they were--but they were so overpriced, too. Most of them didn't look like they would fit right, and they looked cheap. Then I found this. IT IS AMAZING. The clear plastic is beautiful, it looks great on my iPod, the price was right (especially on amazon), it fits perfectly, and it protects the iPod the way I need it to. The only thing I don't like is that the "sleep" button is harder to reach, but other than that this case is perfect. Get it.

  I have search for all over the place to find right case. even Apple store doesn't have one. then I went to bestbuy. they had Griffin clear case at time of purchase. I just love that. it shows clear appearance of touch, and protect entire ipod touch as well. it looks beautiful on my hand. it comes with screen protector film which prevents smudge, scratches on the screen. only downside is that it is not coming with belt clip. but overall I just love it so much. if somebody look for right case, it's definitely answer.

  I recently ordered this case and I love it! It looks great and doesn't mask the beauty of the iPod. It adds a little weight and bulk but it's not that significant. It actually feels better in my hand with the case on. I like the fact that I don't have to remove the case to charge it. My non-iPod headphones fit fine with the case on, even though the headphone jack is larger than that of the iPod headphones. You can also reach the sleep button fine with the case on.
  
  It's nice that they include the screen protector. It's not too hard to put on, you have to make sure to wipe your screen really well first and try not to touch the actual sticking surface of the protector. I was able to put it on without bubbles or dust but it doesn't seem to stick well around the very edges. I tried to peel it off at the bottom to fix it a little and now there is a large section at the bottom which won't stick anymore. Oh well, with the case on, you can't really tell. I found a trick to open the case without scratching it: use a small coin, a dime is fine, take the cloth that comes with the case and drape it over the slot as a barrier between the case and the coin. I have opened the case many times already and have no scratches. The case has such a tight fit that I had a weird issue with some marking that looked like trapped moisture or oil between the back of the iPod and the case. I kept wiping the iPod and the case and even used rubbing alcohol to remove any oil and I still had that marking. It annoyed me so I put a little sticker on the back of the iPod and it fixed the problem. The back of the case is not perfectly clear, it's clouded, but you can still see through it. This also means that if there is any dust under the case, you can see that too. Just be sure to wipe your iPod really well before putting the case on.
  
  
• WILL NOT FIT NEW IPOD TOUCH!!

  Just got the new Ipod Touch (32 mb) today and went to Target to buy a good case. I picked up the Griffin iClear Hard-Shell Case and took everything home. After trying for a good 30 minutes to get the case on, I finally went to the Apple site and checked the depth of the new Touch. The new Touch has a depth of .33 (8.5m); whereas the old Touch's depth is 31 (8m). Yes, just that little amount of depth will render the case useless. Nowhere on the packaging for the case does it give the acceptable size for a good fit. And I thought I was getting a great deal because the case is on sale at Target for $10.00. Too bad it doesn't fit the new Touch. Beware if you're planning to buy any case for the Touch, make sure it says it will fit the new Ipod Touch. My next stop will be at the Apple store.

  This is a great case. It snaps in tightly and is easy to remove as well. It comes with a screen protector which is very easy to put on. I love how it fits perfectly to the shape of the Ipod Touch. Some cases when you put it on will mask the appearance of your ipod but this does not. While providing good protection for your Touch, it does not hide the appearance of your touch.
  
  
• Disappointing

  When I first got this product 5 months ago everything was great. The case snapped into place perfectly and i had no problem installing the screen protector. Now I take my ipod everywhere i go and one thing that started to happen was that dirt and dust would seep through the openings in the case for the headphone jack and hold button, this caused minor scratches on the ipod and on the case. Now because of this i would have to take off my case to clean the ipod every once in awhile and after a few cleans one of the clasps broke off. as of right now both the bottom clasps have broken off leaving it very loose forcing me to tape it together. Also one other critical flaws is the lack of shock protection. if you were to drop your ipod this case would prevent scratches but forget about absorbing impact.

  I purchased this case today along with my new iPod touch. I am amazed by the quality of the materials including the pack-in screen protector and cleaning cloth. The form and fit are PERFECT, and I am VERY critical consumer. Stop reading and start buying. You will NOT be disappointed. My iPod is happy as a lark in its new, protective home.
  
  
• Relax, it just works

  Great case, would be five except because of the hardest part, applying the static screen. No real instructions included. Of course, I messed up the first time and gave up, but read somewhere else to use scotch tape to clean the screen. So trying again, I got it. Don't try to make it perfect, so long as the screen inside the actual case is bubble and lint free. My problem in the first application was trying to make the screen perfect all the way from the top edge down to the bottom. On the second try, I got it just about perfect except tiny parts of the edges, which you can't really see through the case unless you look for it. Finally, there was one spot with a tiny piece of lint in the left corner where the screen is, but unless you look and twist it under a direct light, you won't see it, unless you keep looking for it. In a little while, I will clean and re-apply again.

  Everything about this is easy to use, including getting the protective shield on the screen. Simple design protects the iPod without any obstructions. It's well worth the low price, and the packaging it comes in doesn't require mandhandling a pair of scissors, either.

  It's a well known fact that ipods are easy to scratch, and the Touch is no exception. Apparently they are made of the softest non-lethal materials known to man. So you know you have to protect your ipod. That being said, you hate to enshroud your sleek new ipod touch in a hideous protective case that hides your trendsetting device from the rest of the world. What to do?
  
  I'll tell you what to do. Buy this guy here. The hard plastic cover makes scratch-fear a thing of the past, and because it's transparent the innate good looks of the Touch are going to shine on through. The ipod is protected but not imprisoned. Just don't drop the damn thing because hard plastic shatters.

  I was looking for a silicone case for my touch, I couldn't find the one I wanted in black, then I saw the iClear, I still needed to protect my iPod and I decided to give it a try. Now I am happy because I couldn't find the silicone one, iClear is far better, it is so well made and so well loocking. I strongly recomended it.

  This is a great case! It does not distract for the physical appearance of the ipod touch, and provides excellent protection. Left it in my backback with a lot of junk, and there's not even a single scratch. Stands up well! However, only problem that I have is that it makes the ipod slightly too wide to dock onto my car's DLO transmitter cradle and JBL speakers. Besides that, great product and serves its purpose. The screen protector installation was okay. You just need a pair of steady hands and patience.

  The case came early and fits like a glove. The product came in the original packaging and met the description. The screen protector fits good with minimal issues. Case fits very snug for optimal protection. Getting the case off can be tough works best with a coin or the plastic is easily chipped.
  
  You can not use an dock station while the case is on, but the dock cable plugs in just fine with no interfence. I have to take the case off everytime I sync it becase I have a dock station in my office.
  
  I am in sales and travel in a car and on foot all the time. I carry the Ipod in my pocket so the slim feature of the case is really great. This case offer the protection I need in case I would drop it. I would recommend it to any one who travels and needs to get their Ipod in and out of their pocket/briefcase often.

  This is a great case! The iPod is nice and snug in its new home. The only problem was when I was first putting on the screen protector there was a small bubble in the space near the home button on the iPod. This was solved by simply cutting off the bottom of the screen protector. All in all this is a great case, stop reading reviews and buy this case!

  This hard shell case works well as advertised. It protects both the screen and case of the IPod effectively without being intrusive. You need to make sure the screen is absolutely clean before you install the screen protcctor. The good news is that if you do trap something, you can redo the application.

  I won't repeat the other reviewer's comments about the case, but do have a few observations. I have dropped the ipod while in the case a few times now, and there is no damage to the ipod or the case. I was worried the case would open on impact, but that does not happen. I put a screen protector from another company on the touch's glass and the iClear case fits over it without a problem. The screen protector that came with the iClear would have done the job nicely, but I had already ordered the other screen protector. I am very happy with this case. The ipod is thrown into my purse or backpack and the case is protecting the machine quite nicely.
  
  
• Great case but i used a trick

  The case is wonderfull it fits the ipod touch really great and neat.But here i waht i did and i think you guys should try it.when you open the packet there is i a clear plastic cover on the case ok what i did what took out the cleaning cloth and wipe my ipod touch back and then took that clear plastic and press it on there and then smooth it out and after it had no bubbles i took a scissors and cut the edges so it fit my ipod touch perfect.Reason i did this is because i read alot of reviews and some people say the case sratches the back of your ipod and thats what i didn't want.Anways the plastic holds very good on the ipod and then i add the screen protector which i had no problems with because i read the instructions on it.Then i place the ipod with the clear plastic on the back in the case and close it and the plastic is still in place and it looks great that way i don't have to worry about my ipod sratch at the back.But i Must say over all i love this case and it works really great.

  If your buying this case to protect your ipod touch from breaking when dropped this product is amazing but for Scratches. Its completely horrible. The case has put an amazing amount of scratches around the backing of the metal on my ipod and the case its self gets very scratched. Not the best case.

• Great, sturdy case

  This case is great for the ipod touch. It protects it from minor bumps and scratches. the screen protector is great and you can get it onto the ipod without air bubbles. All you have to do is start from the top or the bottom and while you are rolling it on the screen slowly, use a pen (the side of the pen) and use it to roll the cover to the ipod. Works perfectly and there are no air bubbles. One thing, and I know this is picky, but the clear portion of the case manages to get scratched pretty easily, but nothing to fuss about.

  After much deliberation, I listened to the reviews and ordered this case for my new iPod Touch. There is not a shred of disappointment: it came quickly from Amazon and included a chamois and an easy-to-install screen protector. The protector was not only simple to apply, but effortless to remove and reapply! There is not an adhesive on the protector; it attaches mainly via static electricity. I was pleasantly surprised.
  The look and fit of this case is top-notch. I've seen the Griffin brand clear cases for the rest of the iPod family and liked what I saw. The Touch is my PDA and therefore pocket-kept, so the slim design is a definite must for me.
  I would highly recommend this case to anyone with the need to protect their iPod Touch.

  The great thing about this case is that it is clear. I'd rather have it be clear because it makes the case less noticable, and it lets you see that youre really using an iPod touch rather than someting in leather or silicone.
  
  The thickness of it is sufficient, but doesnt make the very slim iPod too thick, and I feel like I could drop it on the ground with no worries at all.
  
  The only concerns I have are that some dust has gotten inside, because it doesnt seem to form a perfect seal. So if the dust moves around it may scratch up the back of the iPod. Other than that, it fits great.

  The Griffin 8167-ITCLR iClear Hard-Shell Case for iPod touch is an excellent investment. My iPod works functionally regardless of the several times I carelessly dropped it. Although I have heard myths that the iPod touch and iPhone are indestructable I think that it is a smart move to purchase this product just in case.

  After visiting the local Apple store and seeing that they wanted $25-30 for iPod Touch cases, I decided to visit Amazon and see what they had to offer. I found the same Griffin iClear case for HALF the cost and when I saw that it had nearly a 5-star rating from over 25 people, I knew that was the case for me!
  
  I've been very pleased with the iClear so far. It is an exact fit for my 8GB iPod Touch and adds minimal bulk to the dimensions. There is a generous slot at the bottom for a dock connector and headphones and I was even able to snap on my external mini-speakers. Some have complained that this case makes the sleep button at the top harder to push, but I find that it's actually easier for me to locate the button by running my finger along the top left corner and letting if slip right into the little recess in the case. It's almost like it lines your finger up!
  
  Even the price wasn't good enough, the Griffin iClear even came with a clear screen protector film and a soft cloth for wiping finger prints. I recommend washing your hands really good and giving your iPod a thorough wipe down before encasing it in the iClear, because you probably won't be taking it out again, 'cept to change the screen protectors! Of course, if you don't want to even do that, get yourself an Invisible Shield protector.

  This is really a nice protector for my IPOD Touch. I pondered the leather case, but I didn't want my system concealed. This product is made of a sturdy plastic that will protect it's contents. I've accidently dropped it a few times and was amazed that it maintained the system and did not split in two pieces. I do recommend the clear screen protectors for extra protection which if they do get scratched, you can easily slap on another one. The only drawback to this item in which I did not rate a five star is the dock connector opening. You can easily connect the USB cable to the IPOD with the case on however, I have to remove the case if I want to dock it to my IHome system. I do not know about other dockable systems however mine will not allow the IPOD to dock without removing the cover. I do recommend the product as I have had it 6 months and love it, coupled with the price...you can't go wrong.

  Got this product several weeks ago; it works perfectly, I've dropped my ipod a few times, no scratches and the case held up. It's a great protective case if you don't want to camouflage your iPod but still want to protect it.
  
  However, if you use the dock, my ipod won't sit on the dock anymore, I have to unplug the cord from the base and connect it, which is kind of a drag, but regular connectors still fit easily and I haven't had any problems with my car adapter.
  
  Plus, it's the cheapest price I saw from several stores I looked at before buying at Amazon.
