  feels a little heavier than the stock battery
  
  also, seems to be constructed a little less soundly (unsure about my grammar there)
  the outside casing feels fine, but the top side that sits against the laptop itself feels like its just a sticker put right over whatever holes lay underneath.
  
  despite that, it fits, it charges, it works great

• 6000 series Gateway battery

  It is difficult to say if the battery is good or bad. It is most likely a good battery. In my case, it was the wrong battery for my Gateway laptop even though it is a 6000 series laptop. The problem it not the battery, but the laptop I purchased is too new for purchasing spare batteries. You have to purchase it from Gateway. I have a T-6836 model laptop and the battery for it looks indentical to Gateway 6000 &8000 series but the problem is that they are about an inch longer. I'm an only writing this review to warn you that if you have a Gateway Laptop that the screen is 14" or less, 6000 series battery will not work.
