  I bought this leather folio when my children gave me a new classic iPod. It looks great and protects the iPod from anything I have encountered so far. Minor comment - it wants to close up when I open it and lay it flat. This is sometimes a pain in the neck. I am glad I bought it though. Very cool product, hansome, and, I could have spent much more and not got a better one.

  Case is a good looking complement to the iPod classic (80GB). It's a good fit, and offers good protection for the screen and case. All ports and buttons (headphone jack, hold, and dock connector) are easily accessible. One would need to remove the iPod from the case to dock it, but not to attach a sync cable. Only gripe is the not-so-snug fit of the screen protector - it covers it completely, but leaves a large air gap between the screen and cover. This encourages dust to gather.
  
  Overall a good product, and a nice complement to the iPod.

  I bought this for almost twenty bucks and thought this was a good deal (price seems to have dropped). I couldn't decide for a while between this and the leather DLO hipcase. I'm happy I went with this. It fits my 160GB iPOD classic nicely, looks very classy(ic) and is very functional (all ports accessible but flip protects screen and wheel nicely). It actually makes my 160GB feel smaller and lighter than a 30GB iPOD video I have in a leather hip case. The little velcro flip that keeps the case closed can be used nicely to keep the earphones in place when wrapped around the case.
  Only improvement that could be made is the screen protector that bulges a bit and stands off, as it doesn't protect the click wheel.
  Have it for 1 month and so far holds up well and am happy with he buy.

  A fine product however I am returning it for two MAJOR reasons;
  
  #1 It does stink of chemicals. I could not figure it out but it was giving me a headache after opening the package about ten minutes later.
  I have a medical condition and cannot be near chemicals.
  
  #2 To operate the I-pod means you must hold the flap open. This may not bother some folks as it does protect the I-pod but I found it a hassle.
  
  I went to Walmart and purchased the Belkin regular cover (Amazon probably sells this too) aqnd for me it works much better and no "Stank" lol

  This is a case with little utility. You cannot tug it along the belt. Actually makes item bulkier when travelling as it has to be kept in the pocket. The quality of the leather is good though.

  This is an excellent leather case with a soft suede lining. It is nice looking and simply functional. The only minor issue is that the fit of the iPod is not very snug, which is both a bit irritating, and raises the small possibility of the iPod slipping out while the case is open. I would, however, defiantly buy this again.

  This thing is perfect. My only "complaint" would be that the velcro is a little too powerful, as in, it makes a big old noise when you rip it back (which can raise an eyebrow on the subway:-) Added bene - you can wrap your earphone wire around the inside fold, and close up, offering a nice management solution for carrying about.

  A great solution for my dilema. I first bought this cover for my Ipod nano and no regrets. So I desided to give the bigger version a try. Good choice. It fits the ipod very well. It gives a profesional look and full protection. Once you open the cover the ipod can be easily slide in and out from the side. The closure is velcro. Not bad, but I prefer the magnetic closure of the nano cover. Size does make a difference so I guess that is why the velcro. The cover permits access to all the features of the ipod. I recommend it!
  
  
• Stinkin beautiful

  This is a beautiful IPOD cover. However it STANK TO HIGH HEAVEN when I received it. It smelled like High Karate and rancid vinegar. I have no idea what chemicals this company uses to cure leather, but they should stop. I had to stuff the thing with fabric softener sheets, then wrap it in fabric softener sheets, then seal it in a zip lock bag, then seal that into another bag with an open box of baking soda for TWO MONTHS to get the stank off the case. That was a really awful experience. Now my ipod has a beautiful, odor free cover.

  I purchased this product on Monday morning and it arrived on Wednesday morning! I didn't pay for extra fast shipping, either! Very satisfied with the quality and look of the case. It doesn't bulk up the iPod or hinder its functions (scroll wheel, headphone jack, etc.), but still protects well. All in all, a cheap price for a well made product, and fast shipping too! I couldn't be happier.

  Like the others, I ordered it (11/26/07) and was sent the silicone sleeve. I finally received the correct item (01/15/08) after several phone calls and e-mails to the company. However, this is a review, not for the company I ordered it from (J & R Music and Computer World) but for the case itself. I am very pleased with the case. It is made well, looks nice and seems to protect my iPod. My fm transmitter (XtremeMac IPV-APV-00 AirPlay Boost FM Transmitter for iPod Video (White) will connect to the ipod with the case on, it doesn't snap in securely but it does work.

  I'd always heard that IPOds scratched easily and the glass could be damaged easily. This leather case protects that. I saw some cheaper but this one is working well.

  I bought this because I was looking for an iPod case in these colors and because the price was right. I had already read the reviews of others prior to making this purchase and knew before I got it to expect it to have a smell, and it did - boy, did it ever smell. This is not the smell of leather, which I happen to like; this is the smell of chemically-treated pleather, the the worst of its kind. It came out of the box reeking and it needed to be aired out for about a week before the smell finally dissipated and it never smelled of leather at all.
  
  That being said, it is an attractive case which fits my iPod Classic (80Gb) perfectly with easy access to all the right spots. I found that by flipping the cover back and attaching the velcro to the back of the case it can be held in an open position for viewing of videos and while in the closed position I was able to wrap the ear-bud(s) cord around the case and secure it with the velcro closure.
  
  All in all, it was a good buy and I'd recommend it to anyone who can withstand the smell for about a week.

  Smells like leather!
  This case is great for my new 120GB. It has a screen cover attached to the case which is awesome. The velcro is strong and theres no way the iPod could slip out of the case when closed. However, if you open it, it can fall through the side. I haven't had a problem with the left side being open yet. This case fits the iPod and doesn't make it bulky like other cases.

  If is wasn't for the price I would give this case 4 stars because of the fit. It will hold the ipod in place but it could be a little tighter. This case protects all four corners of the ipod. I was looking at the DLO leather case and it didn't so I purchased this Belkin case. The strap is made of velcro not a magnetic snap like the nano version or the DLO case.
  
  Some people were complaining about the smell but Belkin must have fixed that because mine just smells like leather.

  This product is great. Sure, when you first get it it has a weird smell but give a week or so and the smell will go away. It's easy to access and it protects my ipod well. I've dropped it once and my Ipod was intact. I don't really like the velcro closure but it makes sense because it makes the ipod easier to access than having a button there. Love it and I am considering buying one in a different color ( I have the orange one).

  I like this a lot. It holds and protects my ipod. i can carry my headphones on the inside. The only thing i didnt care for was the clear plastic over the screen. I cut that out and now the thing is perfect!

  First and foremost, the quality and care that Belkin puts into its products cannot be beaten. Mine smells purely of fresh leather, and the black and brown colors make for a handsome product. The soft felt lining of the case ensures that the lower half of your iPod stays well protected. I agree with the other customers who have griped about the fact that the 120gb iPod moves around in the case because it isn't a perfect fit. I feel that the case made for the 120gb is really for the 160gb iPod Classic. I purchased the Belkin leather folio over the DLO one because I felt that the Belkin covered more of the iPod. In addition, the velcro strap reassures me even more of my iPod's safety. For the price, the Belkin cannot be beaten. Though the top and bottom of the iPod Could be protected a bit more, every product has its faults. All in all, the Belkin is a great choice.
