What are some of these songs? By A33IIY18EID3NB on 2007-12-30
This is a great CD but there are some songs on here that we have NEVER HEARD! I can think of many songs that could have been on this CD that were more popular lately - the point of this CD, right?
Today's Hits By A3PH16OUIF1GXP on 2007-12-18
Appropriately censored so the kiddies can enjoy them.
I like collecting these compilations so I don't have to worry so much about whether I will have "new-er" music when I jam with my friends. And it's great to have "edited" versions of the more "salacious" songs.
Ehhh By A3PXJ34W4109LH on 2008-02-08
It's ok, more for the teenagers. But it does have some good songs on it.
Great Music for Party Line Dancing By A2QIHZT6DDO191 on 2008-01-31
I was completely satisfied with this item, and it was delivered in a timely fashion.
This is a Great CD By A2QC0SJS3FQDEH on 2008-01-19
This is a great CD. I love it. My kids love the music, too. All my favorites in one place.
- Great Christmas gift
     By A5ZD6FBMZQGDS on 2008-01-18
My niece wanted this cd for Christmas and it seemed that everyone was out of it! Thankfully, I found it here and at a great price, plus it came in time for Christmas. Can't really give a review of the album itself, since I didn't keep it for myself, but it did have alot of good sounds on it, from reading the back.
- Great mix!
     By A1O9ILT0U2BLBT on 2008-01-07
This is a great mix of hits from the last half of 2007. It's a great blend of styles. You'll want most of these on your iPod, too.
- Full of current hits!
     By A9XV5J5F111ZG on 2008-01-03
My brother has been buying NOW cds since they started coming out with them. He's a big fan! These CD's from amazon.com are unedited, which was a requirement. He bought previous ones from Walmart, and they were edited, so he was excited to get this cd from amazon!
- Cool CD
     By A1MOUWXS14S4QP on 2007-12-29
Bought this as a Christmas present for my son. I love these Now CD's! It gives me the chance to get him every song he loves to hear on the radio all on one CD. I buy him a new one every year for Christmas. Mom also gets to borrow them everyonce and a while too. ;) Would definately recomend this to anyone. Has all types of music from rock to hip-hop to pop.

- Quite a few outstanding songs with good variety
     By A2HQ8RTAJYEUJO on 2009-05-01
When reviewing music, I ask myself a few questions; for a specific song:
1. Would I pay to download it from Amazon or iTunes?
2. If I got it free (e.g. as a gift), would I put it on my iPod? &
3. For a CD, I'd also ask: how many of the songs meet the above criteria? To me most CDs by a single artist only have 1 or 2 out of 12 songs or so that meet the criteria, making them not worth the money
I'd hope that a "Best of" or compilation CD would have a MUCH higher percentage of songs I'd buy or download otherwise. The prior Now, Vol. 23 didn't IMHO, but this one does. I'd have done 9 of the 20:
#2 The Way I Are is actually sung mostly by Keri Hilson who does a fab job of singing it. Lovely.
#4 Shut Up & Drive features Rihanna's fine singing voice with less of her over-repetition of lyrics than other; it's not beyond her range as other songs might be
#8 Beautiful Girls is really catchy--when it 1st came out, I searched the radio to hear it again & again--if the lyrics don't turn you off, it's fantastic! It was a challenge finding out the title at first--so I could download it. DJs aren't as crisp in describing songs they're playing as they used to be. They need to showcase the songs better.
#11 Big Girls Don't Cry has the same title as an old 4 Seasons song, but it's a totally different one. This song shows off Fergie's singing ability with less of a heavy rap sound. I like it a lot.
#12 Who Knew? Is the first song I ever downloaded. Whoever did the arrangement is a genius--reminds me of the fantastic arrangement of Gwen Stefani's "Sweet Escape" though the style here is quite different. Pink shows she has pipes, can really sing, can put feeling/meaning into a song, can subtly insert stylistic words/inflections, etc. It's one of my favs of all time. Fantastic IMHO. Deserves more recognition.
#13 When You're Gone is probably my favorite Avril Lavigne song--though in fairness, I haven't heard all that many of them. The one's I'd heard before didn't' impress me much, but this one does. Perhaps, I should check her out better.
#14 Hey There Delilah was played zillions of times on the radio, but I never tired of it for some reason. It's certainly a touching song in which one can identify with the singer & the supposed girlfriend listener. Deservedly a big hit. I'd already downloaded it before.
#17 Rockstar is another of Nickelback's fine songs--their singles tend to be great, but their albums often have a lot of totally different type songs--that I don't like as well as their terrific singles. This song reminds me of "Life's Been Good to Me" by the Eagles & "Cover of the Rolling Stone" by Dr. Hook. It's a riot IMHO. A really fun song with a good beat--a good foil to modern Macho & Gangsta types.
#19 First Time is yet another fantastic Lifehouse song--they've had quite a few. I'd downloaded it before. You can easily identify their sound/style when you hear it even if you haven't heard the song before.
To me, most of the other 11 songs were okay with only one or two I really didn't like at all. Also, 9 out of 20 is pretty good, esp. when these compilations try to cover many different tastes/genres. Probably worth 4 ½ stars IMHO, but your taste will differ from mine: "different strokes for different folks.
p.s. I'm not big on rap music, as you can probably see, but I was very impressed with Kanye West at the Grammy awards--his acceptance speech was terrific!

We get one every year for my 13 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves all the music, as does my nine year old son.
- So-so CD
     By A15K5YJB2ICQ2Z on 2008-04-06
I expected this CD to be a bit better. I liked a few of the songs but I wasn't really into the first half of the CD. So it was so-so.
- Now 26
     By A17BDQZJGGOHVH on 2008-01-17
I purchased this CD for my daughter who absolutely LOVES it. From all the hits on the radio to one CD for an exceptional price, how could you go wrong?
- NOW 26
     By A356BSZ41084NB on 2008-01-15
I bought this CD for my daughter for Christmas. She is using several songs as backdrop for the dance she is choreographing for college. She is pleased with the CD.
- The Biggest Hits of the Year
     By A2BEU7GPGNIG44 on 2007-12-02
The Now That's What I Call Music franchise is known for bringing together the top hits of the moment and compiling them into one compact disc listening experience. Now That's What I Call Music has released the 26th installment in their hit music experience. Now 26 features some of the biggest hits from the summer/early fall 2007 season.
The CD opens with Soulja Boy Tell'Em's chart topping single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)." Soulja Boy is followed up by Timbaland's number one single "The Way I Are," which featured Keri Hilson & D.O.E. One thing about the CD version of "The Way I Are," is that it is a shorter version than the radio version and doesn't include the rap that is featured in the music video. Every song on Now 26 has been a big hit. This collection is a great collection of pop, hip-hop, R&B, and rock.
When it comes to rock music, "Now 26" isn't lacking. The disc features songs from Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone," Three Days Grace "Never Too Late," Lifehouse "First Time", Good Charlotte "I Don't Wanna Be In Love," P!nk "Who Knew," Daughtry "Over You" and Plain White T's "Hey There Delilah."
Now 26 includes top R&B hits such as J. Holiday's "Bed," Fabolous & Neyo's hit "Make Me Better," and Chris Brown's "Wall To Wall." "Now 24" also includes Sean Kingston's breakout hit "Beautiful Girls."
Now 26 also features hits from Kanye West, Fergie, Baby Bash f/ T-Pain, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake. The compilation includes 20 songs total.
- Great CD!
     By A9BPCTI0RIRAQ on 2007-12-21
This is a great idea ever since they came out with compilations of the top music. It keeps us from having to buy the actual CD's just to hear one song. Very good choice!
- the best yet
     By A35J5T7UU91W9T on 2008-02-09
Now 26 is the best yet. Most of the songs I really enjoy as well as the artists who sings them. I hope that more come out in this series that continue to have great music on them as well. How ever I do enjoy each album that has come out in the past.
- Good CD but not as good as other Now's
     By A2WN00UBJQQ9F4 on 2007-12-17
This is a good cd, but unfortunately it feels like they are reaching for a different type of audience. The songs are good but most are ones I would never buy a CD for. Thank God for the breaks for the most annoying song #1. There were a lot better songs released this year that should have been put on instead. The Rihanna and J. Holiday songs are hot!!
