Package Shark Pro Opener with Bonus Scissors Reviews

  Basically I paid over $14 including shipping for a razor blade. The Package Shark Pro Opener is a razor blade enclosed in a vey cheap non functional holder. The product arrives in the type of packaging the it is supposed to open. Using my own sissors, I carefully extracted the product and then tested it on its' own package. It did not work al all. In my attmpts to open the package the razor blade bent. The free battery operated sissors may work, but I could not get the battery compartment to open to insert the batteries. This product is a complete ripoff. Do NOT buy itPACKAGE SHARK PRO OPENER WITH BONUS SCISSORS

  The build quality is horrible, it is cheap plastic that can easily break open. The cutting well is not deep enough to cut most clam shell packaging. I highly recommend you look elsewhere and do not spend your money on this.
  
  It does work on getting the plastic on CDs and DVDs off, so if that is your reason for buying this, then go ahead.

  It does work a little bit thats why I gave it two stars.
  I still have to try it several times before it will actually open something. The way its designed (probably as a safety feature) doesn't allow you do slice off too much of the plastic, you get slivers which really do not help very much.
  And the one I got did come in clamshell packaging so I needed one of these things just to get it out of the package LOL.

  The supposed package opener did not work at all for me. I am back to using a box knife. The scissors are no great shakes either. Pass on these.

  OK IT WORKS BUT LIKE INFOMERCIAL 10 PACKAGES IN 10 SECONDS, THAT'S A BIG NO. IT WILL PROBABLY OPEN 4-6 BUT NOT 10. I AM QUITE HAPPY WITH IT. I COULD HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT TO OPEN IT'S OPEN PACKAGING.

• Don't Buy Package Opener

  I had high hopes that this simple device would do what was advertised; open those annoying plastic packages. It did not work...it is very poorly made (extremely low quality) and it broke by about the thrid package I used it on. The electric scissors are poor quality too; I can't even open the door on the battery compartment.

  Be warned, the TV promo for this product is a complete sham. A one-star rating is too high. The Package Shark is about as useful for opening packages as a pair of children's scissors; i.e., scissors even of modest quality will outperform this mediocre piece of junk for opening welded plastic packaging. The electric "scissors" that come with it are just a pair of vibrating razor blades of dubious quality, barely able to cut paper, and certainly not up to plastic packaging. Shame on me for buying without investigating. A complete waste of money, not to mention that I was overcharged for shipping (web site specified an amount, but the amount charged was double that). This is one of those outfits that ought to be shut down and its operators put in jail.

• Cheap junk

  Don't get impressed by what you see on TV, because this product does not work. It will not open any hard plastic packages. The only thing it will open is soft plastic covers on a cardboard backing, but your regular scizzors do that even easier. First time I used the product on hard plastic packaging (what it is advertised for), it fell apart. The free scizzors that come whit it are a joke. The cheapest China plastic I've ever seen, and even if you try, there's no way to cut a straight line with them. Be smart and save you're money, this product is not worth it because you will hate it just like me and the other reviewers on this page. This product is worth 0 stars, but this site doesn't allow that...

  I received two of the package shark pro's. I opened up one package with scissors. After finally being able to get the razor blade in the proper position (it is difficult to move the guide locks) I attempted to open the second package to see how it works - and the unit broke! First time of use and it broke. It's a piece of junk and total waste of money. I feel like I got ripped off.
  
  
• Warning, Warning, Avoid

  The only box that it was able to open was the second Package Shark Pro box. This is a poorly made over price item that you really need to avoid. When you purchase the item via their website, it dishonestly charges you more than the listed shipping price. You get twice the order, so obviously they charge twice the shipping. Most websites will confirm your order, but not this one. Then, once you have ordered the item, it gives you at least 10 more offers for other equally crummy products. I guess I was lucky that I was only out the $ I paid this item for. Please save your money and avoid this product.

  Well, after receiving this product in the mail (as stated in the previous reviews, you get two) we opened our first one with scissors and tried to open the second one with this "wonderful new tool." It broke! What we've purchased here are two VERY expensive razor blades... because the plastic housing (difficult to adjust) broke. This is a great idea, if it were designed as a re-loadable unit in a better housing... but I can't say whether or not it really would work. BUYER BEWARE... We were definitely taken and sorry to have to admit it.

  It's a cheap product that I don't expect to last a long time, but the package opener works better than scissors would in trying to open that dang packaging .... once you can get the package open, that is (grin).

  This is really garbage. I got the 2 for one deal and with my first use of the package shark the small blade seem to be chip/damage already. And this first time use was on the other package shark. Nice concept but this really needs improvement. I say spend your 20 bucks on a good pair of scissor and open your packages.
